Was visiting the area on vacation, and was interested in purchasing a new weapon. Reached out to 802firearms and was advised that due to the fact that I was from NY that they would not do business with me. He was polite about it and said that it was nothing personal.I honestly was offended by this, and as an American I have the right to bear arms and also the right to purchase weapons from other states through the proper channels within the federal fire arms laws.Im assuming that this dealer probably had a bad experience with an out of towners or a New Yorkers which is why he has this policy.I respected his decision even though Im active law enforcement for 20years. I then reached out to Powder horn outdoor sports which gladly was willing to do business with New Yorkers. After all money is green and also Im patronizing local businesses which helps the economy.

This is my first gun purchase, and I admittedly know essentially nothing about guns. 802Firearms have gone above and beyond to make me comfortable, help me get a gun Id actually want, and then went the extra mile with all the help with my silly questions. Thank you for this positive experience. Will be coming back here for everything!

Went to see if they were open. Went to address provided, there is no sign or any indication that company is at the location they claim. Additionally, called to see if they were at a different location. However, did not reach a live person despite being advertised as open until 1pm. Does not seem like this is a real business or if it is, not how they advertise themself.
