Slow checkout, not one pick up the cart caused it to damaged car. Becareful if you leave bag or expensive stuff inside the car, someone will break it..
I gave it 5 stars for the fact that the abundance of Asian grocery products is better than just about all other Asian grocery stores. The seafood section has a wide and fresh selection. There are so many varieties of vegetables that is hard to find elsewhere. Are there negative aspects as well? Of course, no grocery store is perfect. But its hard to find everything you need under one roof at most Asian markets, and this place is closest to that mark weve found.
Crazy big store with a bunch of Crazy stuff. Mostly Asian and Chinese goodies
Its a great market with many items to buy of every variety! They have fresh fish in abundance and many other types of seafood.
I love the fried banana right in the entrance costs 1.50 EACH, the shop right next to it sells fried banana 2 for 1.50 but does not taste as good they sell ice cream and boba, and thier ice cream is delicious with Color changing spoons! For the kids😄
Like this market for its wide variety selection. Its a little messy and dirty, cant expect too much from an old asian super market. Veggies here are often fresh. Carries fresh crabs, lobsters and other seafood. For frozen food, look for expiration date!
This is a great place to shop for everything that is Asian. They have food that is from all around the world. Its a good place if you want to explore a new culture food. They put a new sign outside, but the shopping carts and the inside looks run down a bit. I been coming here for years and it never really had an update inside. You can see dust build up on red lantern things and see pieces of the ceiling missing from where they have the vegetable area. There is a roof but I can see water rot in old appliances they use to keep the vegetables cold.It covers a large area to find almost everything your looking for from dish soap to crabs and lobsters. They have a wide range of meat and fish. They also have possible hard to find sauce and spices.Once again this place is big with lots of items but they have run down shopping carts and the inside has never been updated. Im sure this place makes well over 6 figures a day or a week and its crazy they dont do more investment into their store. Most of the parking lot does not have lighting at night...beware.
Asian heaven (kind of). A lot of spicy noodle here, always grab 1 whole box when travel down here for grocery shopping
I like coming to the market. They offer a variety of Asian vegetables and groceries in general theyre area where the butcher is offers a lot of meats and chickens and their Seafood section is good as well but this grocery store needs a lot of major renovation and be thoroughly cleaned.
Went to this market for the first time yesterday love it nothing bad to say rlly but was wondering if anyone knows if they carry mochiko? I wasn’t able to check b4 leaving lol
Pick out some fishes and had them deep fried it at the supermarket. Went straight home and ate it while it was hot. Dinner yum...
What can I say? Well, this market carried most of the Asian products from dried foods to sea foods. They also carried produce and fruits in this store. The best thing was they also have fresh and alive fishes and even live lobsters. I came here for the lobster and I got a big one with affordable price only 10.99 a pound.
This store is notorious selling rotten, expired way too long, food including fruits . I bought couple those frozen durian, costing over 20 dollars each really small ones. gosh, they are so rotten ... everything inside turned purple and nasty. totally cheating! Theyre smarty they mix the bad rotten ones with the still edible ones instead of throw them away. so that it looks like some pple will get still good ones and some pple get rotten food. When you complain they would say it was your bad luck to choose bad ones. That tells everything what this supemarket is doing. Those frozen bag durian r also bad when they melted, totally watery . Just bad products theyre selling. Period. Someone should report them .they never throw anything away.
Big selection great sea food!!! I picked up some fresh salmon and some fresh greens!!!! Competitive pricing and decent service!!!
The ( cashiers) in the supermarket are very pretty... theyre just dingbats.!!!
Very clean. Great product selection. Live seafood, pick your dinner! Fresh fruit and vegetables selection is amazing.
Not the cleanest place but if you want harder to find Southeast Asia groceries and goods, its one of the places that have the largest collection, more than Rach99 or equivalent.
I’ve been going to this market since childhood. It has to be one of my favorite asian markets to go to due to the selections of items. I find items here I don’t easily find at the asian markets near my home which is why I make the trip over here. I love their vietnamese pork rolls (the ones in banana leaves), so fresh and hot! They also have the vietnamese dessert made of banana, tapioca, and coconut milk. Yum! Another thing I find here are the fresh sheets of rice paper and giant selection of instant noodles. The items I tend to purchase are inexpensive here IMO.
I was there to buy some snacks.I was have trouble finding some dried plums. I asked a guy working inside. He shows me a big package of mix plum and lemon drink. He said this is the one we carry only. I decided to get it and a waffle cake snack. There were only 2 cahier lines available. It was long line to check out. I waited for a long time. Anyway I went home and start looking the packages. The plum drink and the waffle bags both has warning at the back:Prop 65 warning that these food may cause cancer or birth defect. I ate 1 small pack of waffle. And decided to throw both the plum drink and waffle away.
Weird market. Its 2020! This place froze in time. Nothing has changed. Broken down shopping carts, dirty parking lot, the market feels like you are living in a poor third world country. Everyone is speaking Chinese. You feel like a foreigner speaking English. I thought I was living in China.
Cool place to visit. Very smelly but I had fun going down the aisles and seeing all the different asian cuisines and snacks.
I love this place. They have a wide selection of products and fresh fish, crabs and lobsters. You can actually catch your own fish in the barrels at the back of the store.
You can find most of everything there. If you like catfish, its a place to go for. Thursday is a good day 😊
Great selection of sea food
Great variety of ingredients! Love going there.
Employees are very nice they clean the counter after heat register if your main language is English and you do not speak their language you just spend more time looking around the store a lot of the foods are based towards Asian Cuisine so if you need something in that category Champs are the store will have it very good fresh seafood
Dirty, smelly, flys infested supermarket. Poor food quality and the price is no cheaper than other Asian supermarkets.
Place needs to do some remodeling. A bit old already.
The cart are not in good condition. Seafood area is dirty. Garlic is cheaper than most market. Fruits are expensive compared to superking market.
Thousands of item at reasonable price
They have a large selection of alot of thing and alot of parking
Huge selection. The costumer service is not that good. I saw a customer complaint about a discrepancy on the price and the manager disregard the claim stating it was the price in the computer .
There are more choices than other asian supermarkets. The price is very reasonable.
Good shopping.
Excellent asian market with live seafoods. Clean and plenty of parking. Con is the dirty cart
You can find everything, whatever you need specially Asian products you will find it here.
We came to this spot for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will visit this place again. Recommended.
Customer service is terrible and also the employee so Ruth
Omg it was freezing in there. I had to put on socks and a beanie to walk around. It must be to keep germs down. But the store is great for Asian fare with fresh seafood veggies and ramens etc. Plus lots of rice.
Empty, are the crabs were gone, so I bought fish instead, still a great spot for Asian products.
They have a large selection to choose from, just a little crowded for my taste. Everyone is wearing a mask, there were just too many people. Could have been because it was on a Sunday.
Go only if absolutely necessary. Not clean at all, you can smell the fish market from the other side of the store. Good for bulk rice, produce is hit and miss (good produce for juicing).
This is my go to store for fresh seafood. I have 2 issues.1. The staff in the back (frying guys) doesnt speak any English at all and are rude. If you ask for something about a service. They point towards the front and say outside. Im like, what do you mean by outside. Just pointed out again and said outside. You are in the U.S, at least learn a bit of English, enough to give rudimentary instructions. Better yet, have instructions that are printed in Viet or whatever their language is so we can point to it..2. You never answer your phone for us to inquire about availability of an item. I have to drive 20 miles away in horrible 10 freeway traffic to get there only to know that the item I want to buy is out of stock. Nice place, with horrible...horrible service.
Great Asian market
🙂
Lots of fresh veggies seafoods fruits at a very cheap prices
Market has a huge variety of Vietnamese products. If you are looking for something from Vietnam and cant find it anywhere, go here. If it can be expired, they have it. That said, the meat and produce could be refrigerated better, so maybe skip this sections.
Shun fat supermarket.... Hidden jewel in San Gabriel Valley. Excellent choice in fish and meat. Not only that great deals on food and plates etc. Highly recommend anyone who enjoys seafood. Located at the corner of Rosemead and Garvey..... slightly South on Rosemead.
I really like this store. It’s always clean, the produce looks fresh and meats are a plenty here.I’ve always had good shopping done here. 👍🏼
Very organized & clean
One of the good Asian super markets in this area. However, They often dont have enough carts, and carts are not sanitized.
This location is not clean as the one on San Gabriel Blvd, its fishy smells items are not organized, its my first time here today will not go back !
Parking is easy, handicapped parking is available. This supermarket is very large once you enter inside. Lots or fresh produce options, price is always very competitive compare to Good Fortune Supermarket. Every week theres all sort of items on sale. They have a very large selection of 25lb and 50lb bag of new crop Jasmine rice. If you cant find the rice you are looking for check in the back or ask for help. They often have pallets of rice in the back. Workers might not speak alot of english but they are helpful, if they are busy they will ask someone else for help. Just be patient.
This market was bigger than I expected and they have a large selection of seafood and noodles. I will definitely start shopping there more often because I can do most of my shopping there.
Dont get me wrong, I think this place is great. Ive gone here multiple times throughout my childhood and Ive loved my experience. However, I feel that a one star review is the only way I can get this issue some attention. There was an issue in the parking lot and I needed the help of the security guard or someone of authority to help defuse the situation. However, when I asked the security guard for help, he said there was nothing he could do because he was busy passing out complimentary calendars to the shoppers. That should be a job done by a supermarket worker, not a security guard. Hire more security guards or workers to pass out the calendars. There should always be someone around when a situation calls for an authority figure.
My wife and I shop quite a few Asian supermarkets. Some literally let the store run down, no renovation. Not this store, the inside store actually improve a lot, cleaner, brighter, every items are in clear plastic bag. The store generally very clean. The meat area has quite a few choice. They carry lot of item to choose from. We prefer this store than any others. However, they need to improve parking lot, and shopping carts. They dont have anyone to collect carts or carts are very dirty and hard to push.
Wide variety of fresh and frozen sea food . The best place to shop for Authentic asian ingredients .
Wide selection of items. No bad smells in seafood area. Some carts are rusty but also some clean ones. Good prices. Like the deli food stalls near the entrance. Friendly service and good food. Been to some really run down Asian markets but this one is quite clean! It’s nowhere going to be American big chain clean but wide aisles and spacious.
Great seafood spot.
Horrible service. Couldnt get one person to help me, had folks literally look at me as I speak then turn around & walk away. This went on for about 30 minutes in total as I needed specific, simple items for a dinner. I even started asking customers & they all acknowledged that this is common practice at the market. I think they think that they can rest their laurels on a few cases of fresh seafood, but there are plenty of other better places to go to around Los Angeles.
Prices are lower than other Asian markets...but the services are not very friendly...
Good variety of Asian ingredients and food
I come here every 3 months or so and today I decided to grab a drink Ive never tried before. I grabbed the most aesthetically pleasing can of peach juice I could find. I only grabbed one just to try it, mostly because Im really picky with my drinks. I paid for it and headed outside. The can happened to be a can of Chin Chin peach juice and it changed my life. Ive never tasted anything so good in my life. Ill be headed right back next week to buy as many of them as I can. Lesson? Sometimes its good to judge a book by its cover.
I regularly arrive grabbing some food in this spot. I enjoyed the efficient service and well prepared food. I recommend this place.
I come for the kitchen, they have the best dim sum and hot soup. Its not the cleanest (definitely didnt score any A) but I cant resist the food. Ive never shopped here but I hear they have some really healthy produce and ingredients you cant find at a regular market. If you like dim sum you gotta check it out.
A/C always too cold, so cannot stay longer to shop ...
If you come here for a delivery and you’re a 53 footer. Don’t go straight in. You have to back in from the street. Docks are tight. It’d be best to get the last dock closer to the wall. Even then it’s a tight squeeze. They don’t open the gates to the docks until 8am.
Vegetable are fresh and food are affordable
Really good prices and good selections, I love the $35 box of Oysters.
This place is massive. Tons of variety and all the produce is incredibly fresh. Live seafood, multiple ready made and pickled foods, everything is very well organized. Definitely will stop by here again.
Everything you needed and more. Plenty of parking.
Too much of sea food smell at the North entrance.Do be something be about.
Great place to shop. The staff are very friendly and helpful!
All ways have very fresh fish love
One thing I like the most is that they have self serve jumbo fish tanks for me to pick my fishes and crabs etc.
3 stars, because the place could be cleaner and not so bad smelling. But overall, i love this store for its variety of asian foods and treats. This store has so much new foods and treats to try.
It is like a sea on store all kinds of sea food
Fresh fresh live seafood, you name it they have it. Great prices, Asian food galore!
Became full Aston you pay, check the recive. The cashiers atend.charge over.
Love all the fresh lobster n crab plus a very big variety of Asian products plus prices are fair 😎
Staple of the area for many years. Like two decades. From superfoodwarehouse to shun fat. Many Asian foodsVeggie could be more freshPrices in produce may be higher than the Mexican market
Ive been coming here ever since I was a child. theyre always stocked with whatever Asian item I need. rice cookers, seaweed, black bean paste, curry powder, shrimp chips. they always have it. its changed a lot over the years, but I never leave without getting what I need. but hey, its a supermarket man, what can you say.
Wish they would have more names in English
My daughters and I love this place. Great shrimp dumplings. Good dim sum at a great price. We drive 20 miles to come here about every other weekend.
Has all the Chinese and Vietnamese supermarket items one could hope to find!
Clean, organized and well stocked store. Has almost everything you can think of, fresh produce, frozen foods, dry packaged goods, but not sure if they have tanks for fresh seafood.
The reason why I gave it a three star is due market needs in the seafood water area needs to be redone n clean n the meat butchers are very rude .. I do not wish to give that market revenue if I will be treated rudely..
Loved the selection but they wouldnt let me buy a toad without them killing it
