I prefer to shop at Target. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. Not hectic like Walmart. The grocery section is the perfect size and spaced well, better than Jewel I feel. I feel good wandering around Target browsing at good stuff and hunting for a deal or two. My favorite part is how honestly nice the store associates were.

Great customer service, clean look and feel, had all the items I needed to get in-stock, fast check out, easy to navigate the layout of the store as well.

I caused a lot of confusion trying to use various coupons, giftcards, & asking questions about applying for the Redcard at check out and Kim & manager Connie were SO helpful & sweet! I felt bad taking up so much of their time but they were so kind & understanding through the process. Both were so informative, patient, & overall excellent customer service!! Trying to get someone on the phone is near impossible. It rang for 3 minutes before the phone automatically hung up. I had to call 4 different times to finally get someone to answer, and just to ask a simple question.2 stares because their drive up service is convenient.

Did my second order pick up. While it’s hard for me to remember everything I need without seeing the aisles, I am becoming a fan. Target has a huge parking area set aside. Multiple employees were clearly dedicated to this service. Wait time was minimal. Just can’t open and close my trunk from inside my car...but that’s my issue not targets ;)

As far as targets go, this store is always clean and well maintained. The reason I’m giving them a 1 star is because of the 6 or so times I’ve been there I’ve been followed and asked for my receipt 3 of those times. It’s obvious when someone is following you to every aisle looking at you grab items. It’s honestly horsesh*t but that’s America. The Elgin target is my main store and I have not been followed there a single time, and I’ve been going there ever since I could remember.

I love the 5% off the other discounts, and i love the drive up pick up that is ready with in 2hrs

I love my local target. The employees are so friendly and will help you with any of your questions. The new renovations are amazing and the store is always very clean and sanitary. They have functioned through Covid-19 very well and I would recommend coming to this store!

Cashier was nice

The Target team went above and beyond today! Ive never been to that location, but it was amazing. I drove over an hour away to get this last minute item for my daughter. Regardless of it just being these pjs she needed for school tomorrow, everyone stepped in to help. I ordered the wrong size, all my fault, and was worried when I saw them because I know they are sold out everywhere. One team member went back and brought the next size, again my fault, and then I asked for a medium. The lady and I sat there checking if there was even a medium, and online I saw they were sold out. The lady with me, who I heard doesnt even work in the pick-up department, immediately ran to the back because there was only one small left. I ended up taking the larger size for myself and the small for my daughter. But I walked out with a smile, and how they went above and beyond! I cant remember the girls name, it was something ordinary, maybe it started with a V? She has black hair is about 54, very pretty and sweet. The other girls name was Jacqueline, I may have spelled it wrong. But they saved the day, and made not only a happy customer, but a winning mom! Working full-time and having kids is a struggle enough to get things done. But when I screwed up they made me feel better and made my visit seamless. Outstanding work, Target on hiring great employees who go above and beyond. In a moment of panic I walked out not remembering everything that was said, but how they made me feel. I will for sure recommend this store!

Clean and bright with friendly employees. I love that I can get in and out and get my normal shopping and 95% of my grocery complete (sometimes their produce is excellent, other times Ill get greens like zucchini elsewhere). Wish the deli could have 2 workers doing meat at the same time but the wait time is just like any other grocery store.

Love Target! The only problem I had was today...the girl running the front had a low cut top on that showed too much there was a 8 yr old said Mommy she needs to cover herself up! And had a scarf tied in her hair! Not very professional to be working the front

Been shopping there for years. Took a little while to get used to where to find things in the new, remodeled layout and now it actually much easier. Also, great friendly service from the optical and Pharmacy. Always enjoy talking to Ben in produce. The improvements are outstanding.

Target has been one of my favorite locations to shop but now with the recent remodeling they are doing I really dont like it. I have to say it but I do miss the old version of target not this new stressful fancy look. For me the old shelves seemed like they carry more stuff compared to this new shelves and now I cant even find what I am came for. Even the table of customer service are way smaller, absolutely no space for anything. I dont know if its only me but I really dont like this new look and probably prices will go up.

I had an order pick up (bigger than average) and this very nice young lady by the name of Makenzie helped me pack everything into my car in the freezing cold!

Horrible customer service. I spent a half hour in Target and was not greeted until I was checking out. I mentioned to the cashier at self check out that she was the only one that greeted me. I told her I understand about social distancing, but was amazed no one asked me for help. I even strolled thru the whole stored and was appalled that customer service was nil. Get it together Target. I didn’t even want to give it a star.

Bought a carpet cleaner and picked it up in store. Got home, used unit missing parts. Took item back and asked for a replacement. Box was different color. Asked them to open it and it was another used unit with missing pieces. Beware of store trying to sell used items as new.

The team is so helpful and friendly! Ben in produce is so kind and there are so many other familiar faces when I go to Target in South Elgin. The renovations and new layout are fabulous.

I was in line checking out with no one else in line no need for rushing having enjoyable experience. Making small talk which is rare these days with the nice young cashier, when her manager walked up and in a very demeaning and stern manner said to her we need to talk and flip off her light. This made me feel very uncomfortable not professional manager style. Great cashier poor manager.

I would just like to comment on the lady that assisted with the self checkout and other cashiers. This morning I was waiting in The checkout lane and she happened to walk by my cart with a comment about the sanitizer wipes I had . She sad it was only one ( package of two) per person, the sign on the shelf clearly stated “ limit 2 “ per person, the lady in front of me had a 4 pack of sanitizer wipes ... where she got them, I’m not sure, but what is the difference? I found her to be rude and a very poor representation of a Target staff member with absolutely no common curtesy!!! These are tough times for everyone, and she needs to be aware of the horrible way in which she conducted herself!!! I don’t know her name, but this needs to be reported.

The store was generally pretty clean and well stocked for what we went in for.The five star rating is because of the excellent service and care that was provided from the cashier. Nick if youre reading this I hope you know that youre an inspiration to all of us, and Target should be thrilled to have such an outstanding employee.

I just came from this target looking to a tv stand. The stand that was on the shelf had no display sticker on it saying it could not be sold. I was met by a young girl first whom tried to help but the dcpi information did not match the item. She had to contact her manager 3 times about the item before she came over. They then checked again in the back. Nothing. I asked several times if we could just take the model on the shelf each time I was met with a No. I then asked this managers boss, Stephanie said I am the boss, I am the store manager. To which I said no, I want the person above you. She gave a name of Leo but said to call corporate and she couldnt give an email. When she said she was only trying to help I pointed out that since said item did not have a display sticker they should be able to sell it. I left the store without the item and with a bad taste for this location. Leo if you read this let me know.

Great improvement on the redesign...just took a little time get used to it but feels cleaner, brighter and more functional

This target had a great selection of pretty much everything you could need. They even had more than enough lanes open for check out so I didnt have to wait at all. The cashiers were very nice, they helped me find an item that i couldnt find, and got us out fast.

Love the Drive Up or In Store pick up. It is quick and convenient.

I am not too impressed with the new layout.It seems like they have less selection.I find the staff creepy.I was being stalked while shopping for some reason by an employee.I dont know what his problem was but I was with my daughter and it was becoming annoying

The checkouts were a little slow but eventually they opened up a few lanes. Overall it wasnt a deal breaker. What I wanted was in stock and it wasnt busy. They guy in electronics was knowledgeable and helped me pick out the game system I was looking for. They even let me know that it was on sale plus an online coupon could be used so I ended up saving a ton on it!

I was checking out and the store manager on duty was incredibly rude to the cashier ringing up my groceries. It was her first day and she was asking about my day making conversation. She was a quiet girl and just kept her head down the hole time. The way her manager approached her after eyeing her the whole time was incredibly uncalled for. She was extremely embarrassed after he scolded her in front of everyone in line and told to see him in his office. So embarrassing. Handled completely wrong.

For how nice the store looks now, I dont understand why the bathroom was not updated and/or at least kept clean. Every time I go in there, it is filthy.

I usually find what I am looking for here and they have a variety of brands. They also are usually restocked and not out of everything that I am looking for.

What a great experience at this Target location. I was shopping for a 5yr olds birthday gift, after about an hour of pacing back and forth through all the toy isles, I finally landed on what I thought my daughter would like.As I proceeded to cash out I had some kind words with the cashiers Ellie and Winter, they saw I had wrapping paper and a toy and we continued on with our small talk on who the gift was for. After I told them who the gift was for they both offered to wrap my daughter gift and I absolutely took advantage of it since Im a typical guy and my gift wrapping skills arent the greatest.This is probably the most pleasant experience Ive ever had at any retail store in my life.

Stores are always very clean, my pick-up experience was great- - but your prices have become SO much higher in recent years and I can get what I need for a lower price at Walmart or Woodmans grocery store.

Very bad experience. Target made a huge mistake my hiring a rude employee with long brown hair in a man bun in the electronics section. He made me feel unwanted and uncomfortable so I decided not to purchase anything. He made me feel so awful, that I will no longer be shopping at this target, and encouraging others not to as well.Honestly I excpected better. A lot better.

I have been shopping here since it first opened, I have always enjoyed this Target as it is always kept very clean and organized. I do have to say I am a little disappointed in the recent remodeling that is going on. I understand the process of the remodel, which is not the issue, it is the moving of everything around and changing the complete set up of the store. Everything flowed very nicely before and now directly in the middle of the store they decided to put the toy and back to school section, which has created a bit a of chaos. Its hard to get to the section you actually want to go to because its so crowded. They have also decided to get rid of kitchen supplies i.e. spatulas, tongs, etc. they now just have their own brand of utensils which are unfortunately made pretty cheaply. This was a store I would go to for everything, but its starting to become like all the other Targets or more like a Wal-Mart set-up. Which is unfortunate. Long story short, if its not broke dont fix it!

The associates were not friendly or professional. one associate actually pushed me aside to get to the register to check a price for another customer...and there was an open register! Why did she have to be so rude?

Used to live closer, so now I dont visit as often. I would shop at this Target location about 3-4 times a week for a few years. Its down to about once a week as its now a further drive. Still the best for service and selection, always great pricing.

I was grabbed pushed and pulled by a man twice the size of me that worked at the store. He bruised one of my ribs. This was the worst experience I have had going to any public place. Just the thought of a large adult doing that to a minor messes with me head.
