This is the perfect way to start the day I was younger when I first went here. And I love the atmosphere certainly right up my alley. This place had always been refreshing and now that Fire and Water Cafe is gone I will be spending more time here. Congratulations funny please let us know how long youve been open so these kids understand how important this place is in the area!
Ordered two maple lattes that absolutely hit the spot. Well made and great coffee flavor. Staff was very friendly, too. Surprised (and good to know for others) that indoor seating is not yet open as thats part of the charm of places like this, but if youre looking for a good coffee to go, this is the spot.
Lovely chai and $1 books, and the option to have wine. Though I couldn’t sit inside (stupid COVID), chairs outside on a warm October day made this a great place to just BE for a bit.
Coffee is expensive and not worth it, I could make much better at home. The vibe is cute inside and it’s cool to hang out, just don’t buy any food or drinks because you will be disappointed.
Looooovvveee thirstys - used to be a great hangout before covid - this place is more than just coffee - before covid it used to be a place for community, where you would run into people and find yourself spending hours there hanging out. For some reason before covid they started closing earlier, and didnt have their open mics as much. Obviously thats all irrelevant because of covid, but when they do open up indoor seating I hope they extend the hours again. Love that they have tandem bagels (but they should give more cream cheese with them!) and coffee is great. Workers and owner are very nice.
My husband and I were looking for a new coffee shop that was open during the late afternoon to evening on a Saturday. I found Thirsty Minds in a Google search and we were off. The shop is open til 8pm on Saturdays. We walked along the cozy Village Commons across from Mount Holyoke to the shop and were instantly greeted by the barista. Taking in the vintage meets college cozy atmosphere and the various age groups of people in the shop, the barista asked what poison we were looking for this afternoon. When we said we were new he told us to please take our time and he would answer all questions. After a few minutes of going over, we settled on iced beverages and pastries. There were gluten free options. It took little to no time for our orders to be prepared. Everything was delicious and the shop gave us ample to look at and discuss. I definitely recommend if your looking for a quaint coffee stop

It’s so easy to order a breakfast sandwich online and by the time I get there it’s ready to go. Staff are always nice and their mochas are on point.
First time here love the idea of coffee and alcohol (wine and beer). Had a iced coffee and a cinnamon scone. The scone was more of a cakey consistency. It was good flavor was great. The coffee was good slightly sweet and with a hint of caramel. Almost taste as if they cold brew it. Will be back here for coffee. The inside has a lot of used books to purchase. They also have board games to play while enjoying your purchase.
First Rate! If I were to have a coffee house with great food, delicious drink choices, and a piano stage, it would be like this! AND hundreds of books for a $1.00 !!!

Thirsty Mind is a unique cafe, offering traditional coffee items along with wines, beers, and mixed beverages. The staff was cordial, quick, and pleasant. The ambiance was extremely inviting with several plush couches properly arranged throughout the store, plentiful seating for groups, duos, or single patrons, and complimentary high-speed WiFi. There are two faces of bookshelves with varied selections for any bookworm to gander, and an array of board games for guest yearning for entertainment.So, are you in search for a quality cafe that offers an experience? This is the first coffee shop I’ve found that has non-dairy alternatives out with the rest of the milk and half&half. For that reason alone I’d give it five stars. They also make a great Latte and the atmosphere is super welcoming. I’d recommend this sleepy little hideaway to anyone who enjoys sitting with their coffee and enjoying the morning.

LOVE Thirsty Mind. Room to sit alone, have a date, or grab the big table for a meeting of 6-8. Solid breakfast sandwiches and coffee - if you have a sweet tooth, go for the Thai Coffee (iced or hot). Plus beer and wine for your evening adventures!

Blackberry Watermelon Lemonade - Yum! Chocolate crossiants and coconut macaroons are fantastic. Nice space to chat, work, or just hang out. Not a coffee drinker, but those Ive been with love it. Nicely air conditioned. Great place.

I go here must Saturday nights for live music and a latte. Best latte in town. I have been given free CDs from local musicians and get to hear great music from them. They have a large coffee tea and alcohol selection as well as snack and light food. The prices here are average, and from the time of this post, my large latte with soy costs $5.35. There is normally good to hear attendance to events here but the cafe is small.
One of my favorite coffee shops in all of Western MA...and Ive been to dozens. The entire Village Commons looks like its a cross between a Dr. Seuss book and Lord of the Rings, and this place is nestled right in the heart of it. Add in a friendly owner and staff and lots of Mt. Holyoke students and this place is right at the top of the list.

This place would fit in well on Market St in Lowell next to Life Alive, its got that nice eclectic decorating style that just has a good vibe to itThe coffe is well made, and the price is right. Youre gonna get a quality cup here and youre not going to spend more than Starbucks.

Went here to grab a coffee and a glass of wine with my sister tonight and was taken aback by the poor attitude of the barista behind the counter. We did think it was open until 10 (which was our fault, we didn’t check) so we knew we couldn’t stay for wine...which was fine with us. I went to the counter to order a drink to go and without even a smile or a greeting she asked if we wanted any pastries, which made it seem like we shouldn’t even think of ordering any drinks.I looked up at the menu to order a drink and was made aware that the espresso machine was closed for the night. Thirty minutes were left until closing, which seems like a huge window to close the whole espresso machine down for the night. I only speak from experience of both mine and my sisters, where we have both worked in many coffee shops before. Since the espresso machines were down for the night, I ordered a coffee which was luke warm.I understand that the store was closing and things need to get done in order to do so, but running water through an espresso machine and pulling a shot won’t set you too far back. A smile wouldn’t influence the time that you were planning on getting out tonight. Just having decent customer service skills wouldn’t have held you up either.Unfortunately I won’t be returning.

Nice local coffee house. Most of the baristas are great, but a few are clearly not people persons. The coffee is fantastic. They also have a large selection of teas, and a small selection of craft brew. They also have a good number of frozen sugary type drinks. A lot of their pastries come from Barstows and are quite good. They have live music 2-3 times a week including an open mike night.

While the seasonal drink specials can sometimes be hit or miss, they are always worth the chance. The quality of the ingredients is always 5 stars, and the atmosphere is killer. The staff are charming and speedy, and the prices are well suited to the quality of the service. All in all, a great place.
Where else can you get a great cup of coffee and a snack... sit back and look at local artwork and pick a book to read as you relax ? Not to mention you can come back later that night and grab a beer or wine and watch live music. Dunks aint got **** on Thirsty Mind!

I absolutely adore this place. The staff are super friendly and warm (at least when the poor dears arent SWAMPED by us coffeholics!) and the atmosphere is homey and welcoming. I love just cozying down in a big comfy chair in the corner, pulling out my laptop and art tablet, and making a day of it. Thirsty Mind replenishes all of my creativity like no place else ever has!Checking in, January 2017; place has still got it! They seem a little more popular now, but its well worth it. Their menu continues to innovate and amaze!

Decent coffee shop. Often times you get only 3/4 of a cup and the service is chatty at the expense of customers sometimes, but that might be the ambiance of the place.
