I came here with a group of friends. I didnt buy anything in particular but a friend of mine did. This is a nostalgic gaming shop that are a rare find nowadays. Whoever was working the counter was knowledgeable in regards to various questions my friends and I were asking in regards to availability. We observed several other customers come in and it seems to have a very flexible refund policy. I took 1 star off as the prices of some collectibles are a bit on the pricier side.

Great little electronics store, had everything we needed from headphones to power cables. The carry a large selection of games and accessories and the staff is very helpful.

AWESOME PLACE. Ive been to a lot of retro game stores, this is by far the best place Ive been. Its about an hour drive from where I live, but definitely worth it. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Decent games store with wide selection

Cool discovery in S Lake Tahoe. They had a huge selection of collectors items for retro games and consoles. Also had working games. Had some Magic cards and card sleeves, and board games featuring video games. The staff was super friendly, even to my dog. Pet friendly store.

Kai is awesome, personable and fun to chat with, very knowledgeable, Mtg, Videogames, collectibles, you name it he’s your guy! Been to some so so vintage game stores, this one rocks the socks off of them. Check this store out it’s worth it for sure. Also has some pretty lucky boosters, must be the proximity to the casinos, lmao, got a full art mana crypt from a double masters box. Score!!

Bought a Xboxone controller, few bucks about normal retail. Controller stick drifts out of the box, kinda disappointing. They’re normally good about used returns but bnib stuff idts. Overall nice to have in town, prolly only buy used from them.

Great store! ive been going to these guys since they opened. There prices are usually great and they give me excellent deals if i buy in bulk. :P the employees are very nice work with too! although, i do miss the owners being there. HUGE collection of games and consoles, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Total needs, couldnt be happier with how comfortable I am going in! They also do a stamp reward where you can get money off after a certain amount of purchases. My go to place for games!

Love going here! I’m only in Tahoe every so often, but when I am it is absolutely routine to make a stop at warp zone. Never a letdown. Staff is great, and the video game selection is awesome. Great prices, and deals. A little harder to find people or places willing to do deals anymore unless you’re friends. Highly recommend warp zone for old school gamers.

Would not let me in with my personal mask. Ask me to put on a mask that been out in the open with people walking by and touching them very non sanitary.Edit, my mask is a full mask covering everything, nose, mouth and was on very tight. Never had a problem before.Response, why do I have to remove my mask anyway? Do you even know the point of the masks as it pertains to the coronavirus? Its to stop a sneeze or a cough from flying in the air spreading the virus that way, it doesnt filter out the virus, the masks are offensive not defensive. Please do more research before forcing your customers to remove their masks (in a public space) and put on disposable ones.

The employee asked me to take my mask off and put one of their disposable masks on. Their masks were outside the store in a open bag with people touching them. I said I would rather not and he said he couldn’t let me in with out it.

The Warp Zone was by far the best video game store I have ever visited. I went there three times while in town and every visit was excellent! Ki was a wealth of knowledge and fun to visit with while shopping. I would HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone!

This place is great. The owners are super knowledgeable. When my kids are super indecisive they put a stack on hand chosen games in front of them or offer advice on games. Reasonable prices on everything they have and often sales on many items in the store. They take trade ins too which is super great, can finally get rid of Sega cartridges!

Was in town for business for a couple days and I found this gem of a store the manager was super nice, friendly and helpful. They have walls filled with classic console games, accessories, and current stuff as well. I wish there was a store like this in my area.

Cool, old school video game shop. Walls of old video games for all consoles, and tons of DVDs too! They sell Magic the Gathering cards as well, (which my son is in to) you can also purchase newer games. The shop has a cool vibe, reminds me of being a kid and going on Friday night to the local video rental shop. The owner (cant recall his name) is almost always there (at least when we go in) he is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Please check them out! Went to this place on a whim since the nearest Gamestop was in Carson or Reno. But thankfully this store is a thousand times better than a Gamestop. Walls are covered in a variety of rare and unique game items. The staff are super helpful and actually care about catering to customers, even if you just want to chat with them about a few game topics. They have a good pool of older games and accessories, I found several items I was looking for specifically barely trying!Even if youre just driving through Tahoe, I recommend highly giving them a visit to see what rarity might catch your eye

Amazing store. Best selection Ive seen in a while. Would go there again 10/10.However, I had to rate it 3 stars. I bought a ps2 game and when I got home it didnt work. In all fairness, the employee at the store said that if it didnt work they would replace it. However, I live in Oregon and am not going to drive that far for a game.So I called them and left a message on their machine asking them if I could mail it back and pay for the return postage. I havent heard back. At this point I figure it would be less effort to get the game elsewhere, but it would have been nice to even get a callback saying that its too much work going to the mail box.I would go there again but I would make them show me that the game works next time. Just a word of caution to potential buyers in this busy tourist destination, make them show you the game working If you live far away.In the store the service is great, but the moment I left, not so much.Disclaimer: the other ps1 game I bought did work and I was very happy to find it for a great price.

Always a pleasure visiting this place wether youre coming in for games or movies (or plenty of accessories). The staff really knows what they are selling, interactive, and very polite. This place has a variety of products, along with great deals without having to go out of town and waste gas, time, and money.

I figured I should probably write a real review instead of just saying best place on earth! After reading negative reviews about kids wanting to trade in outdated sports games and wanting the full $60 price tag in return, people saying theres other local retail competitors, and many other whiney, lame tourists (for the most part), I decided to add to the huge list of 5 star reviews with some actual feedback. Ive been going here since it opened. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful. Their trade in value, especially for store credit, is always fair. Ive sold them everything from old consoles to Magic cards. Their selection is awesome, and if they dont have it, they can order it for you for the most part. Something you people have to realize is this is a local business in a small town that is fueled by tourism. And while this shop is plenty great for us locals, it might not meet the expectations of a tourist coming from a major city that has multiple gaming stores and competition. This is our only gaming store. Before this we had a short-lived spot at the Y, a couple of video and game rental stores back when that was still a thing, and a K-Mart that hasnt even had an electronics section in years. Bottom line, if youre nice, and reasonable, and do your research on what your items are worth, theyll usually get pretty close. They have overhead. Dont expect a 90% return on a game thats been collecting dust on your shelf. Its common sense. Cheers!

Ive come up to Tahoe for vacation twice, and both times I visited this store. The only way I can describe this place is in one word, Awesome. Their game selection is huge. Everything ranging from the NES all the way to the current gen. Also they have two employees working there by the names of Gynelle and Ki, and they are just super, super nice. If youre looking for some retro games, or something current. Give The Warp Zone a look. Its that good of a store.

What a gem for used games and movies. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They have all types of gaming systems and a surprising selection of DVDs and Blu-ray. They have a great return policy if things dont work out too. I was pleased to find such a great little shop in SLT!

Super knowledgable staff

Fantastic little shop with really genuine guys working there. I stumbled across it right before closing and the guys actually took the time to pull out some miniatures they had, No rushing or anything like that. Definitely a step up from the Gamestops back in the Central Valley.Not to mention they also have a ton of old and new games on sale, as well as consoles. If you find yourself in Tahoe like I did this weekend of youre a local who hasnt stopped in, then I heartily recommend you give the ol Warp Zone a chance.

I came in with my wife and they Ripped us off with a second hand speaker that they said they checked as best as they can. Paid 60 usd just to find out it wont charge when we were like 5 hours away. When i called they wont refund the money and laughed in the phone whed i said that we are tourist and reslly need the money.. a** holes
