This storage company took over a smaller company that I used for many years. Extra Space Storage changed everything to be more user friendly as doors and gated were automated, payments could be made online and hours were more flexible. However, with improvement comes higher cost. With that being said, I believe their new rates are still pretty competitive compared to see me other storage facilities. The premises were always clean and cool. No problems ever had to be reported.

Just moved to the area and needed a small storage space immediately. Dropped in and Steve was so helpful in assisting me find the right storage space and view the available option. He was friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful cheerful disposition. You can tell Steve takes pride in his work and the service he provides. Thank you so much.

My stay with Extra Space Storage in Pasadena for the past two years has been wonderful. I just moved from my previous Extra Space Storage in the Atwater area. The manager there, Ken, was incredible. The new South Pasadena location is more convenient for me now. Apparently Extra Space has recently taken over management of this property. It is as clean and secure as their other properties I have rented at. Stephen the manager was so helpful and informative, and JJ his assistant made the rental process quick and easy, as I didn’t have a lot of time. I know I’ll be well taken care of at my new storage location. Plus it’s located right next to the Gold Line, lots of good restaurants, and the Thursday afternoon/evening farmers market that I always go to! They’re also adding more spaces. I need a bigger one!

I used to like it before they switched owners. I feel like the office is always closed, they just raised the rent 50%. I can never get to my storage because of the odd hours and lunch breaks. Its unfortunate that Extra Space Storage is buying up all the good storage facilities .DECEMBER 2018I’ve only been a customer of this storage location for about 1.25 months, about 3 weeks ago, ownership changed. I was worried, luckily JJ and Michael have been helpful and courteous. The only thing that worries me now is the anticipated price hike. Hopefully the owners are as nice as these guys and don’t gouge our wallets .

I needed a closer more affordable storage unit and through a recommendation of a friend I was sent here. Stephen M. took the time to hear my needs and show me different options for my needs. Overall, I do like doing business with Extra Space because of the convenience of online payments and the have good gate access hours.Update: Unfortunately, in less than 2 weeks of moving in here, everything I loved and valued was stolen out of my unit. I’m beyond heartbroken and I’m not sure if anyone is doing anything to catch the criminals since the S. Pasadena police has informed me that Extra Space still hasn’t released the video surveillance footage to them. I guess these things take a bit of time, I don’t know.

Stephen responded to my online reservation immediately. Upon arrival gave straight forward answers to all my questions. Gave me all my best options, with no BS. Everything is clean and “in-tact” (Other storage buildings in the area have holes in walls and floors in units are dirty- not this place!).

If you need a safe, secure and inexpensive storage space, I recommend choosing this company. The staff are helpful, friendly and go above and beyond to meet your needs. Steven is exceptional, he keeps you informed and communicates often to work with you if you run in to challenges or obstacles. His customer service skills are incredible. I fully trust him, his follow through is exceptional, he treats everyone with respect, and his communication is always respectful. Why only 5 stars? If I could, it would be double that. I have rented from this facility for some time, since it was owned by someone else. So when Extra Space took over, I was very concerned about the change. I shouldnt have been. Steve, the manager, has been just outstanding, very professional, but in a comfortable way! He has quelled all my initial concerns and in fact now I am more comfortable than I was with the previous owners. I was very pleased to be helped by JJ, the manager at this location. Despite my frantically arriving there only 15 minutes before closing time, he took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions, cleaned my storage unit, and he stayed way past closing time so that I could load all my stuff in to the unit. He was super nice and I felt the building was very safe and clean. Also I’m glad the hours available to customers will be extended to include 6am to 10pm.
