Although there are a lot of changes going on I feel like in this particular store they bend over backwards to make the customer experience a positive one. I had a problem, and the manager Christopher, was quick to help me resolve it. They were also excellent at the cell phone area, even if they werent aware of a promotion, once I mentioned it they looked everything up to offer me the best possible options. Still very disappointed in the fact that I cannot call and reach the store directly, so Best Buy please change that, but as far as this store and the staff that I have encountered, they are all excellent.
So I bought a remote starter for my car and Best Buy had to order another part to go with it cause they didn’t have it in stock. Then was told they couldn’t install it in so. Portland that I would have to go to either Portsmouth or Augusta to have it installed. Now my friend just bought a starter with them and had it installed 2 days before I bought mine. Whatever. So when I left I paid almost 300. Decided a few days later that I didn’t want it so I bought it back along with the piece they ordered and my receipt. The boxes was never opened. When I returned both things and was handed my refund slip it was for only 1/2 of what I paid. When I asked why I’m only getting half I got more excuses from both salesperson and manager I even showed them my bank statement saying how much I paid. After about 20 minutes or so I was given another refund slip for the rest of it. I still can’t believe that happened. I wonder if I was a man if they would of done that. Just my own opinion
Best Buy always treats me great. Just explain your problem and they will fix or find the solution. Just remember not all solutions are what you expect or happy about. Not there fault every time. #peace and love…..

I picked up my new word processor today from Katherine at the Geek Squad service center. She was very professional and helpful in giving me some instructions on my new device.I also spoke with Matt at the sales desk about a new printer. He was so patient in showing me how to connect a printer to my new device. Both employees offered great customer service.
Carter in the TV department is a rock star. He was very informative and answered my questions with a wealth of knowledge. I would certainly seek him out again.
Perfectly normal Best Buy with kind staff, tons of top tier electronics, and relatively fair prices. I found what I needed quickly and checkout was fast, but as as heads up the parking lot can be a bit crazy. Overall great location.
The Geek Squad employees from Best Buy were excellent. Prompt. Courteous. Professional and efficient. Not only were they on time, they were early. They gave me a courtesy call to ask if an earlier time was convenient for me, but if it wasnt they could keep my regularly scheduled time. They were thorough in the work they did (I had two tvs wall mounted) and they cleaned up after themselves. Wore booties to cover their shoes and masks even though I am fully vaccinated, it is their policy to still provide safety precautions. I am very pleased with the installation process and results!
Needed a new TV. If I had the right help from a knowledgeable salesperson, I might have bought that $3,000.00 Sony to upgrade my 65 Sony that I bought from them in 2016! I got the worst salesperson, ever. I walked off and bought a 24 TV for my night stand instead. Lately, I have encountered the worst salespeople at that store. Just horrendous. The mystery is! Why do I go back?

Theyve got lots of great electronics and hardware, but they dont have a great selection of anything other than mainstream electronics. No 3d printing hardware or filament, very little in pc components. But theyve got all you need to set up your home entertainment system and replace your keyboard and mouse at the same time. Its hard to get service sometimes but great selection.
Seemed nice. Roomy, neat, typical Best Buy. On vacation. Only took a quick look around.
I had a 3:40 appointment. I arrived at 3:15. Katherine of Geek Squad worked on my PC. She had it fixed before 3:40. Way to go young lady!

Today at 6:10 pm I was at Best Buy at the Maine Mall. I hade a problem with a item I purchased and was returning it to get a new one. Now I paid for a warranty which I wanted back without paying for it again as I want to return the item and the paying for it again and the cashier understood that. But as he couldn’t do anything he had the manager do it and she kept saying no about the return and finally she came and talk to me and was very rude. I said to her I never used it and would not even connect to my phone or the Bose app and I wanted to return it. She was so rude, loud and obnoxious. Purchased a CyberPower PC from Best Buy and it worked out great! I got it shipped and it arrived several days early. I set it up in minutes and it runs very well. It has no issues playing any games I want it to. It also came with a nice mouse and keyboard.
They really helped me out on some returns. Love to shop here!

This place is exactly what you need it to be whenever you need it to be there. However, its audio department is lackluster at best and is the equivalent to sit down dining at Kmart; simply unmotivated. Just ditch the department and stick to the things you do best; Phones, Computers, TVs, Video Games and Appliances.
Disappointingly little inventory for such a big store. Adapters and cables cost 3x what they do on Amazon. The employees were helpful though.
Normally dont have things I need but the employees are always kind an try to help the best they can.

The store has been revamped. I like the design. I was able to go in, up to a counter and get what I needed.
My last trip involved 3 items that I was looking for. A store associate asked if he could help. He stayed with me until I had everything I needed even though one item was not in his department. And that item (fiber optic audio cord - 25 ft) was not stocked with the more frequently sought after sizes. HE went and found it for me! True Customer service!!!!
Store was short staffed as many are. The employees were extremely helpful and finding a way to assist calmly and professional.

I love B.B., and I and a platinum BB member. However Ive just about had it with the hours closing at 7. It is just about impossible for me to make it by 7. Staples now has my business who has a better understanding for the the working man.

Why bother even having physical locations? All they do is not keep anything in stock, then tell everyone to go order things online. Literally everyone knows that the internet exists and that you can buy things there. When we go to physical locations, brick-and-mortar stores, its because we want to purchase things that very moment. To give money in exchange for an item which you then take with you. Which is the way that business has been done for 99.999+% of human history. But even for probably a year or two before the pandemic, and obviously much more frequently since, a trip to Best Buy is an exercise in futility. When I attempted to call the store to speak to the manager to voice my concerns, I received an automated message stating that the store does not take phone calls of any kind, at which point I was connected to a woman apparently taking phone calls from a farm, because I could hear roosters crowing in the background. It was all enough to ensure that Im entirely done with Best Buy.
I walked into Best Buys in Portland trying to find a way to transfer my photos from my old model Nikon D80 to my Samsung S20FE. I own a brand new HP computer and would rather use my Android instead because I can take it with me while I travel doing my photography.I met a young Gentleman named Jason, I believe his name was, from the camera Department and shared with him my dilemma.I heard that I could buy a WIFI adapter for my Nikon D80 camera and was advised that they can be tricky!Jason told me that He had another idea how I could accomplish what I wanted to do.He advised me to try aPlatinum USB-C TO SD MEMORY CARD READERIt costed $26.00 and some change.Then Jason set it up on my phone so that I could transfer 2,567 photos to a folder that He set up for me in my Photo Gallery with it own icon for easy access.I was blown away on how fast that this device transfered all of my photos with no loss.Now THAT IS SERVICE!Thank you! Jason, for going out of your way for a first time customer who needed a solution to my dilemma.You deserve a Raise and hope that this review will help do that for you.

Saw a staff member wiping down display tables with disinfectant wipes.Easy access to WiFi.Update: Sunday afternoon, January 2021; Curbside pickup available. Bathroom needs to be checked more often. Decent shape but one stall out of toilet 🚽 paper. No change from my first review.
Went in to buy new appliances for our home best buy staff was helpful set us up with new fridge dishwasher and microwave but mall security came into the store and asked us to leave leave for not having mask on 4800 dollar purchase not complete me and my wife left

Not accepting calls at this location. When you go in they tell you that the online inventory is not dependable, so theres no way to see if they have something in stock before you make the trip to the store. Why bother to buy something from the store if you have to drive all the way there to find out its not in shock. Just get it online for cheaper....

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Even if the parking lot is packed, you can still get great service quickly. Ive been there twice recently for returns/order pickups and each time I was in and out in under five minutes. Staff helped me unload a TV from my car and carried it inside and was very polite!

I buy most of my electronics here through Best Buy even though they cost a little more because I want an actual store to return things to if there is ever an issue with items.This store seems way understaffed for the volume of customers it is seeing. My son picked up a nikon camera with a large lens, we looked through at different points in the store and the alarm system going off on it. We waited almost 2 minutes before walking away as the alarm wasnt stoping and it clearly wasnt an employee concern. We continued to shop through the store and it was almost a full 9 minutes of walking through the store before the alarm stopped and we didnt even see anyone reset it, I think it just stopped on its own.The Bangor store that I usually buy everything in had so much staff that is annoying because you cant go from aisle to aisle without being asked by multiple people if they can help you find something and South Portland didnt seem to have anyone available for assistance at all.

Best Buy is great but at this point I’d tell you to order online and pick up. You should buy your electronics here, for sure. Just, in the Covid world, going into retailers kind of sucks right now. Buy online, do the pickup, and when people get vaccinated then go back into the store.
I am beyond disappointed with best buy and their customer service. I recently purchased a range top and a dishwasher. I did not notice any indication that my dishwasher would be on back order nor did it say anything in that regard on my invoice when I made arrangements for delivery. Despite the several connections best buy made to confirm my delivery date and time on these items they failed to communicate with me that I would not be receiving a dishwasher I had paid for a month and a half ago. It wasnt until the day of delivery did the geek squad inform me that they were only arriving with one part of my order. I tried contacting several best buy customer assistants line with zero luck of anyone answering the phone. I drove 40minutes outta my way to try and track down where my dishwasher could be. Instead of giving me an even exchange on an item the gentleman there cancels my original sale and recharged my credit card for a different dishwasher that he kindly gave to me for the same price. I square away a delivery before leaving the store just to receive a text message asking me to make an appointment for my delivery. I dont understand why on Gods green earth Id need to set up a delivery appointment if it was already set up before I left the store the other day. I am beyond frustrated and called to cancel this order as well. I am still out $800 with neither dishwasher. I am awaiting a refund on both of these and will be taking my business elsewhere once I am refunded
Were not friendly. I was buying a laptop that was over 1000 and the person helping me I feel as if he didnt really believe me and kind of gave us half help and interest all around... Very let down

Im not particularly tech-savvy, I need an adapter for my Android phone. I showed the gentleman my phone and he sold me the wrong adapter. Not only was it not a fit for my phone, but it was also about $20 more than the one that did fit my phone. On another day I was looking at laptops, the store was relatively empty of customers, I was looking for 30 minutes trying to figure out wish laptop I like to, nobody came to see if they could help. I left and went to Walmart where I got bombarded with offers for help. I think because I look young that people assume Im comfortable with technology. Thats not the case. Ive never really used technology, and in fact only got my first smartphone a little under a year ago.
They definitely seem to be out of the movie video. Bummer

The monitor I need was out of stock at most locations, but this is a great store with knowledgeable salespeople. Plus one of my kids works PortCon, and Ive seen how this store maintains a fantastic and supportive relationship with their community (even if they werent such a good crew Id shop here just to support that.) It can be a difficult time now to find what you need in stock anywhere, but if you can find it here you wont have to worry about annoying staff or trashy merch.

Did not offer to help me when I had issues with a router last year. I asked if the router I wanted to purchased was compatible with openWRT and the person on the floor looked at me like I was from Mars. If I had a phone I wouldve googled it. Now Im stuck with this $150 router I cant use in the way that I want. At least its better than what I had... Barely.

Its Best buy. Pretty much anything electronic including vehicle navagation, subs,amps. I bought my cars soundsystem there aswell as a Dyson purifier. If Best buy doesnt have it youll probably have to order it online.
I have always had great success with the staff and availability at this Best Buy location. I trust them for all of my tech purchases. Highly recommend!
