Just moved here and since I dont have a car, I was looking for furniture online. This shop has unique items for a decent price, they list everything online, and they offer fast and efficient delivery (for a fee). Found a lovely leather couch and a solid wood dresser for a good price. You can place a bid for items. Also I missed the introductory discount code and they refunded me the difference even after I placed my order. Delivery was timely, they gave me a 2-hour window and called me 30 minutes before arriving. Movers did a great job getting the furniture into my apartment. Great experience for consignment furniture.
They seemed to have fixed the pick-up scheduling issue others have mentioned. Folks were friendly and helpful. The rug I purchased is phenomenal. I didnt even feel that I needed to have it cleaned.
Great concept and business model; I bought a really nice chair online for 50% the price of a new one, drove down and picked it up really easily. Would recommend!
Disorganized and rude customer service. I ordered a set of 8 dining chairs and a console table. Only one chair was delivered, and the console table arrived with a missing handle. When I called customer support the representative on the line was snapped at me, tried to convince me the missing pieces were available, and kept saying that her manager doesn’t work weekends when I asked any question at all. I wasn’t asking to talk to her manager, I was asking what I thought was a pretty basic question of when I could expect to hear back from them for a way to resolve this issue. There was no apology for the trouble, no explanation of any expected resolution, and she sounded put upon that she had to respond to my call at all. I’m not even sure that I’ll be getting the rest of my order at this point and will never come back.
The customer service at The Local Flea is excellent! I appreciate the fast response time and genuine helpfulness. When I had a concern, they addressed it quickly.Buying online was a nice process. Delivery was easy to arrange. The vendor they used for delivery was on time, professional, and careful.
I like to check out the web site for good deals. I like that youre able to negotiate prices and make offers on goods. Reusing pre-owned items is good for the environment.

Buying furniture and getting quality products looks like a good decision from this company because of the pictures they produce.....but they have terrible customer service and they don’t know how to handle deliveries that are out of state. I would not recommend ordering from a different state from this company because they do not know to communicate with the buyer. They need to learn the principles of business and how to accommodate two people‘s needs. The company they referred me to deliver my couch was absolutely terrible and ruined my couch and then they took the couch back and sold it to a different person. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Amazing products AND customer service. There was an issue with my order and the staff couldnt have been more accommodating and allowed me to browse their inventory and come away with an even better product than I had ordered with a significant discount. Highly recommend checking this place out!
I purchased three pieces of furniture, solid wood and very reasonably priced, and had them shipped. I was very impressed with how well they were wrapped up and packaged! Pieces came on time just as advertised and I couldn’t be happier!

To the owner, thank you for responding, if you look at the comment section on your post of the set, someone asked back in Dec if it was a whole set and someone from local flea responded that it WAS a whole set so we called and ask to make sure. We did not assume, we asked, we got the answer and acted according to it. Unfortunately, due to your unprofessionalism, we wasted 3 hours driving back and forth and expenses for gas and Uhaul.Yes someone did offered to give us discount on picking something else. We took the drive for the specific item. Unless you have another comparable style dining set, we would have purchased it.My husband and I had the worst experience here. We bought a dining set from them. My husband was constantly in communication with a gal that works there to make sure that it was a complete set that we were purchasing and got definitive confirmation. On pick up day, we rent a Uhaul, drove 1.5 hours to get to the warehouse and the gal is not there. Her coworker told us the set only has 4 chairs, saying that the whole set wouldn’t be that price. So unprofessional and time wasting. Never coming back here again!

Bought a standing desk over the summer. When I went to pick it up, I was left waiting outside for 20mins because the guy I called forgot to tell the people in the warehouse I was there.When they brought it out, it was taller than what the website said and didn’t fit in my car. I asked if it could be shortened and they said no, unless I unscrewed it, which would void the return policy. I came back a few days later in a borrowed van and it was shorter (would have fit the first time)- turns out they hadn’t adjusted to min height the first time but didn’t know it.A week later I called to return the desk (unrelated to pickup issue) and they said they wouldn’t accept my refund because my reason wasn’t good enough, even though it was within their return policy date. They were rude and dismissive over the phone.
If you need stuff for your home you should come here (or check out their website). Thelocalflea has everything! My wife and I just moved into a new apartment which we are looking to get purchase. I found them through a posting on a resale app and went in for a lamp. I came out with everything I needed for our home and having everything delivered! Seriously, great prices, great selection and very friendly people.
We found some incredible deals at the Local Flea (almost new Article couch, beautiful dining room chairs, and a dining room table). We used the negotiate feature (Price Waiter, I think) and got responses right away. Luis and team are awesome to work with, super fast reliable. We also used the Bay Area delivery ($125 for everything to Oakland) and they were so fast/communicative, got text updates and everything was safely delivered during COVID-19. We couldnt recommend the Local Flea more !
The Local Flea is awesome. We pretty much furnished our whole apartment in one afternoon for a lot cheaper than if we had gone to Ikea. All the items in the showroom were stylish and tasteful and of much higher quality than Ikea or Target. It almost felt like a liquidation sale at West Elm and Crate and Barrel. Tiffany did an excellent job in assisting us with recommendations, pricing, triage and delivery arrangements. We were absolutely delighted with our experience and consider The Local Flea our go-to for all our furnishing needs.
TLDR: I really wanted to like this place and tried to give them multiple chances for my sale while looking for a futon, but I consistently encountered very poor customer experiences that eventually resulted in them losing my business. They seem like they have a good selection of items and an interesting business model, but with such a poor customer experience they simply lost the opportunity for my sale. I would look elsewhere if you are in the market for a sofa, unless they dramatically improve their customer communication. I do hope a manager reads this and does something to address these issues, as everything below is easily avoidable - but in this case it lost them an easy sale.Read on if you want to see my experience:1) On a Wednesday I make an online reservation for that Saturday afternoon to come look at futons in their warehouse. I receive a confirmation email right away, and all seems set to go. I proceed to plan my Saturday afternoon entirely around this trip to their warehouse and am intent on likely making a purchase. TWO FULL DAYS after making the appointment, on Friday, the DAY BEFORE my appointment, and after planning my whole Saturday afternoon around this visit, I receive an email stating that sofas are not able to be viewed on the weekends and to please reschedule for a time M-F. **Why was this not told to me when I first made the appointment, rather than waiting two whole days and after I made plans around coming out?2) I decide to give them another chance, and change my appointment to Monday. While making the booking I enter the item IDs of the futons I want to look at, as it requests. On Monday morning, the day of my visit, I receive another confirmation email, asking for the item IDs of the sofas I want to look at, even though I have already done this during my booking. I have to go through and find the item IDs once again.3) I drive all the way out to their warehouse for my appointment, and when I arrive the woman at the front desk says Oh you must be Derek, here to see sofas, right?. She proceeds to tell me that sofas are housed in a different warehouse and unfortunately, for some reason, are not able to be seen today and that the earliest I can go see them is probably Thursday or Friday. Factoring in everything else that has already happened up to this point, I am pretty upset to say the least. Here I drove all the way out to South San Francisco, only to be told I cant do what I had made an appointment to do. Not only was I not told this before I drove all the way out there, but I even received a confirmation email that morning asking for the item IDs of the sofas I wanted to see. Absolutely terrible.4) I ask how I will know when I can come look at the sofas, and she says she will take down my number and call me as soon as they are ready for me to visit - probably by Thursday or Friday. Thursday and Friday come along, and sure enough, I receive no phone call. In fact, I now write this one week later, and I still have not heard anything at all. My business was lost the moment I drove all the way out there and was told I couldnt see the sofas, but still, I was curious to see if they would at least actually follow up and call me. Unfortunately, they did not.So all in all, my customer experience with the Local Flea was just very poor all around, and while I continued to give them a chance despite the bad experiences encountered early on, at a certain point they just flat out lost my business. Moving forward Ill be looking elsewhere for used items.

Their warehouse holds so much great items you can completely design your entire house!Located in South San Francisco off HWY 101, this hidden gem will not disappoint! Id take it over HomeGoods. Its THAT good!
I dropped 2 start for the following reasons:1- They told me the shipping cost is $75 for my delivery address. After I paid for my order, they apologized for the oversight and charged me $125 for delivery. Note that my address was less than 20 minutes away right in the middle of the peninsula.2- A few hours before the scheduled delivery, they notified me that one of the items is not available. I asked them if they could hold on to the delivery so I can order a replacement item. My request was not answered and now I have to pay another delivery fee for that one item.3- One of the items I ordered was an electric furniture. No where in the description was any mention of missing all the required cables and adapter for the item.

They are not up to date on their inventory. I drove an hour in traffic for a potable ac. That was sold the month before. Yet it was still listed on 2 sites.
