Just completed our project with Alexandria and we are very happy we went with them. We noticed a lot of our neighbors getting windows and siding replaced, and we reached out to Alexandria after seeing their work. Austin did a great job throughout the project and at the least Jim and Alexandria’s crew did a nice job on the installation of our windows and siding. I would recommend them to my family and friends and will be back when I need the roof in the coming years.

Alexandria windows is exceptional to say the least. We got our whole house windows and doors replaced (38 windows and 2 doors) in September 2019, the installer was great( literally vacuumed and cleaned up my house every night more the I do) the windows were beautiful and amazing quality, and the reps were at our house frequently to ask us how the job was going and if we needed anything. I thought that was awesome and should have posted something then but didn’t think it would aid anyone in their choice to go with this company but now I do. This company offers a lifetime warranty and stand behind it with the best costumer service I’ve ever had. Since our windows were installed we have contacted them 3 times: 1) putting woodwork around our interior garage window (done within a week) 2) window and door color swatch requested to match paint (received within a week via mail with a note letting us know if we need anything else to contact them) 3) seal between window and house gap causing leak our house facing extreme sun side was told by installer this could happen (they came out the NEXT BUSINESS day to reseal!!!!!). This is exceptional and should be praised and relayed to help people looking for just a great company to install windows and doors. It was literally one of the greatest investments we made in our home and are beyond thankful that we decided to go with Alexandria windows! Please continue to offer such great costumer service in the future because it is truly a God send to consumers that are use to being pushed around and lied too. Keep up the integrity and class that is hard to come by anymore, your phenomenal. ( I wish I had before and after a to show everyone, but I don’t)

We ordered 12 windows from Alexandria. There was a problem with one window (wrong size) All other windows came with good quality and we like them.We are very pleased with the two gentlemen from Alexandria, Vasyl and Vlad. They did a very good installation job. They were fast, thorough and professional. Thank you gentlemen!!!Overall, we like the company, and will recommend to our friends.

This is the second time I called Alexandria Windows and Doors. Last year they opened a back wall in my dining room to put in a sliding patio door and the transformation was everything! We had a full home window replacement project recently completed by Alexandria. Our sales representative was Johnny. He did a great job at our initial meeting and was very easy to get in touch with throughout the process. Really the companies first impression on a customer is the sales rep, I’m glad we got him. He worked with us to adjust style of the windows in our home from so they would meet our needs but fall closer to our budget.I ultimately chose Alexandria because they are family owned with high quality product for a fair price. They were a little more costly than a local big company competitor but not by much and honestly the end product and installation is worth it!Installation crew was small for a big job so it took a little longer than I would have liked but their work is clean and they are detail oriented which I appreciated having a crew that wanted to do the job right the first time!

Both of my entry doors were in bad shape. The front door was old and warped. The side door had a 34 wide exterior jamb and a 36 wide interior jamb. I wasn’t worried about the front door as it seemed like a straightforward enough job, but the side door had me worried.I got a couple of quotes and decided to go with Alexandria even though they were a bit more expensive than the other guy. Why? The other guy gave me a verbal quote mere seconds after I told him about the side door jamb. He seemed a bit too confident, and a bit too unconcerned with what I thought was going to be a big deal.On the other hand, Alexandria came out to my house. Not just the salesperson, but they brought out the man who was going to do the work. In-home or on-site estimates with salespeople are always a good thing, but to also bring out the person who was going to install the doors seemed like next level to me.Johnny (the salesperson), Scotty (the installer), and I had a good conversation about that side door. We went over the options, and they answered all my questions until I was able to decide how I wanted them to proceed.I was impressed. Having both guys there gave me a sense that Alexandria cared about doing it correctly right from the start, and it gave me peace of mind knowing that everyone involved knew what we were getting into.Or so we thought.That side door turned out to be something no one was prepared for. The exterior brick opening was offset from the interior opening by 2” - on both sides! We knew about the one side because you could see it, but the other was hidden underneath the existing jamb and casing. On top of that the lintel over the door wasn’t supported on one side. I’m not sure how this door ended up in such a state, but yikes.At that point there was nothing to do but deal with it. Scotty and I talked it over and decided on a game plan. They went to get some additional materials and got it done the same day. I was impressed once again. Check out the pictures and decide for yourself.By the way, at no point from when this door from hell revealed itself to the final handshake was there ever any mention of additional costs from anyone. The price they gave me on day one was the price I paid when the job was done.Alexandria does good work. My side door gave them a challenge and they overcame it. If they can handle that mess they can handle whatever you’ve got going on at your house. They seem to genuinely want happy customers and they’ve got one in me.Well done, Alexandria.Edit 8/17/2018: I just had a home energy audit done. The Energy Star rating for doors is an R-value of 5. My doors received a rating of 5! So not only do they look good, they also improved both the thermal and air barriers of my home.

We decided we would take a considerable leap and go with a metal roof on our house and garage, and are extremely happy with the result. Johnny met us and was enthusiastic and well informed, answered all our questions and gave great advice. It was a major install on an older home with steep roofs and all the attendant problems which can arise in a 110 year old house. These are not panels but deep profile metal shingles that imitate the shape of cedar shake (Boral Pinecrest) and encourage airflow above the roof deck, a huge asset. They are stone coated like an asphalt shingle but from a distance are still clearly metal, making for a fascinating aesthetic hybrid, an amazing result that people seem to notice from the road. Ruben and Hector led the team and not only solved many problems, some unforeseen, but worked late hours and were open to some suggestions implementing them perfectly. An amazing team. (One minor problem. There was quite a bit of debris in our top gutters afterward, a detail that was missed I assume due to the fact that people usually get gutters replaced as well.) Johnny was always easy to contact which was good as there were some delays, mostly due to weather. Theres been no heavy rain yet, but the roof is lifetime warranted against leaks in a transferable warranty. This job is something to consider if youre willing to engage a significant (and expensive) undertaking but one which pays off in investment, permanence, structural integrity and visual aesthetics.

I needed a single window replaced to pass inspection for where I decided to install a generator outside my home. 2 other companies blatantly told me my job wasn’t big enough for consideration in the current market. Luckily Alexandria took me seriously right off the bat, came over for a free estimate, didn’t bat an eye at how small the job was, and they took care of me just as well as someone doing a full home window replacement. Alexandria was great to work with. I had a new front door installed and new stone on the front of the house. The front door was scratched during installation. They tried to buff it out but were unable to make the scratch disappear, so they replaced the door, no questions asked. Very impressed with the service and the final result is perfect.

I had Alexandria replace a patio and back entry door. The sale person was very helpful and followed job through to completion, The doors are a nice quality, the price was fair. They did a great job with the installation. They were quick and professional.

We recently moved into a 1960s ranch in Bloomfield Hills, and all of our windows needed to be replaced.We called the usual companies, Pella and Anderson, and were taken back by their astronomical pricing. We started looking at other options, and came across Alexandria.We are so thrilled that we decided to go with them! From scheduling our consultation, ordering the windows and having them installed, everything went much smoother than I could have imagined. I really appreciated that I was given updates promptly, and their communication throughout the process was great.My biggest worry was that my home would look like a construction zone after the installation. However, our home was so clean after, that I honestly could not tell that any work had been completed! The windows look as though they were installed when the home was built and are beautiful.We have had Alexandria windows now for over a month, and our home as been so much more comfortable this winter. Customer Service, Communication, and Installation were all done well & in a timely manner. I am so grateful to have found Alexandria. From beginning to end they were awesome. There wasn’t any pressure to purchase and they weren’t coming to me with astronomical pricing. I started out looking to replace my patio door and found that it needed repair not replacement. My wife and I spent over a year looking for a good window company. We had at least 6 different companies from around the area. The reason we chose Alexandria Windows was their salesman Alex. When he came to do the estimate he was very polite and professional. He spent a good amount of time answering our questions and explaining the difference between Alexandria and other window companies. Alexandria removes the entire old window and puts an entirely new window in its place. Alex explained that not all companies do this. We had 3 more companies come out after Alexandria and 2 of 3 leave the window frame in and just change the inside part of the windows. They were priced at about the same price as Alexandria, but Alexandria changes it all. The inside trim in the windows is a great feature. It is vinyl and doesn’t need to be painted and looks great. The two man install team were very professional and they did a great job.

The rep that came out to take initial measurements was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to our window needs. Would recommend to anyone looking for new windows, you cant beat their service and lifetime warrenties!

My experience with Alexandria was mixed at the beginning but they earned their way up to 5 stars, the core team are very passionate and professional at getting the job done. we did a full replace of windows and doors with them, they sent out sub contractors to do the job which wasnt done right, I had to follow up couple of times to get it well done. Make sure you insist to not have sub contractors for the job. Alex is the right person if you have any issues to be addressed.

You can already see comments here on the staff’s honesty and integrity and the solid work the installers do. Generous should also be added to the mix! Our family isn’t really in a financial position to be able to replace the windows on our house that desperately need it, so Alexandria WD was generous enough to donate them to us. Whether it’s Maria or Alex in the office, or Johnny (who came to our house to measure the windows) and the rest of the staff, they were professional throughout and its evident that they take great pride and joy in the solid work they do.

I was very excited about this company after meeting with several shysters. The sales rep was friendly and helpful and the process seemed easy and straightforward. However, after being promised installation in 5 to 7 weeks Ive just been informed that the windows will not be shipped until 9 to 10 weeks following the order with installation 10 to 11 weeks from order. Given that this is the first step in a remodel that involves four different vendors which must occur in turn, their failure forces me to reschedule all the others and sets back the project completion 2 months.

The staff was very professional. I recently bought a house on the lake with large windows that a lot of companies couldn’t do. Alexandria did it and did it with perfection. I highly recommend them as they have amazing customer service and an amazing product. Thank you Alex

Requested a quote on new front door. They came on time, measured, and reviewed several options with us. The salesman was very friendly and helpful in going over options. He stated that we would have the options quoted in a couple of days, a week went by and no quotes. Emailed the salesman and he responded that he would see what happened to the quote that afternoon and get back to me. Over another week later and still no response or follow-up. Don’t know if they are just too busy or if they are not interested in a small door job, but I should not have to continually follow up just to get a quote.

The ad boasts that they use only quality products and cut no corners. That is a lie my friends, false advertising at the least. All I wanted was a new back door but what I got was a cowboy experience beyond belief. The door was too small for the frame and not enough shims in the world could have closed the 1/2 inch gap around the door. Plus on the installation every corner that could be cut and some was cut.However, when I called to complain, Alex the salesman that bid job took ownership of the problem. He took my concerns seriously, promptly ordered a second door and scheduled another install. I appreciate all his efforts to right a wrong as best as good within his power. I cannot fault this company on poor customer service. I am pleased to say that the second crew that came to my house to install the second door did a good job. They respected me, my home, showed me what they were doing as they progressed through the installation, and cleaned up after themselves. if only they had been the first crew my experience would have been so totally different. However, I did have an issue with the window with the built in mini blinds and again reported my concerns to Alex. He contacted the door manufacturer and I will be getting a refund for the additional cost of the window. Based on the second install I will give them 4 stars but for the window issue they would have got 5.Its not the mistakes made on the project that can prevent future business between 2 parties but how the company responds to the customer and I cannot fault them on the response.

5 stars. And I didn’t even end up using them! They came to give an estimate on replacing large sunlight windows next to my front door because of scratches in them. When they arrived, they analyzed the windows only to discover that they had been aftermarket tinted on the inside. They informed me the tint could be removed and replaced (which it has and they look great again). Three other companies never said a word when they gave an estimate. Alexandria Windows turned away business and instead saved me $1000+. When I really need new windows, they will have my business.

I actually visited their offices in Southfield to see if their company and products were as good as my sources had revealed. Literally, from the moment my wife and I entered, we were welcomed, toured and educated on their sliding patio doors we needed. Without any pressure what so ever, Alex and company, demonstrated many facets we previously knew nothing about that were incredible elements for energy and insulation efficiency. Not less important was the manufactured and engineered integrity of the Canadian doors we eventually selected. Materials,hardware, UV ratings,insillation,double locking mechanism,and built in adjustable shades made our decision obvious. The price was set with full longterm guarantees including installation and full removal of existing older doors. After delivery, when many other companies would hand off to less qualified or engaged subcontractors, Alexandria completes their full service by using their longtime employee team, in our case, Scott. He and his team were onetime,on schedule and incredibly meticulous in the complete removal and install. Every finite detail was attentively addressed. A malfunctioning ball bearing, previously undetected, was discovered and immediately replaced on site with a special dispatch made the same day. Weather not cooperating, Scott decided on his own honor, to return the following day to final caulk some of the portions of the outside edging. This in itself says all you need to know because we would never have known the sill or bottom edges were damp and am certain other companies would have caulked and been done leaving the hidden water inside to eventually decompose the seal. Not Scott or Alexandria.This small company, its ownership, employees and products represent the very best of its kind and a true throw back to the good old days when honesty, integrity, performance, m value, and reputation meant success with honor: relationship building on the success of each individual customer and their referral rather than mass and often deceptive advertising coupled with disinterested follow up.
