On my Delivery route, I stopped by and ordered a Red Snapper combo plate, The Fried fish was perfectly cooked and the Fries were Hot and crispy. Service was quick and easy. I will be looking forward to coming back 💯

I always have great customer service at this location. But my last visit they fried MN y fish to long. But mu strawberry cream cake was great!

Chicken was good in the beginning, now! It taste like they cooked it,and then recorded it,doesnt taste fresh at all,no mm ore season, Chicken no longer fresh and can taste the oil which makes the chicken taste old,,it could all be old

Absolutely the best food! First time I tried gumbo and thought I wouldn’t like gumbo and it was so good. Their hush puppies were amazing the best I have ever had the jumbo shrimp and scallops were amazing as well the lemonade was really good too. This food was absolutely amazing I recommend it everyone and the service there is good and the the owner is a really nice personable guy. We have been there now 2 weeks in a row very reasonably priced as well

Great food, the only down side is they have never added extra hot sauce on the side on any of my orders although I have requested it every time.I would pay for extra if the option was given.Great food though 👏🏾

Get fresh cakes. Cake was so hard it bounced off the wall. Shrimp and fish love it the taste and flavors are amazing. Dont like your fries not my type of fries.

Food was nice and hot wish they used fryer chickens vs soup chickens... gizzards were over cooked but still delicious! The gumbo however was a surprise, had alot of crab in it! Quite surprised a little salt but edible! Would definitely consider coming back.

Food was off da hook!I had Sole which was fried and seasoned perfectly with collard greens and jambalaya. Staff were great and food was delicious! Not a lot of area for dining in but place was clean. Decent prices well worth my money!

This place has solid fried fish and chicken at a fair price. They have a broad variety of choices. I had the opportunity to enjoy something from my childhood, fried chicken gizzards, that not many places carry. The selection of cake is pretty amazing, too, though Ive not yet tried any. Check them out.

Im from Chicago and this taste just like Chicago. The mild sauce was good and the lemon pepper wings were big. They even have pizza puffs. Im coming here next time I feel home sick.

Drove from Sacramento for an appointment and my son in law took us here and I tell you, the catfish nuggets and fries were On Point! Taste, flavor, the crunchiness all came together Perfectly! Cant wait to try other dishes on the menu 🙂

I hadnt had any fish in a while so I got a sm order of catfish nuggets! That fish with the Tatar sauce was soooo good! Make you want to slap somebody! I will be going back! The clerk was nice as well, thank you!

I was given the saddest bowl of Jambalaya ever. You can see the literal pool of oil in this. All the meat is very overcooked. Was I given the bottom of yesterdays pot? Gross 🙃

Great cakes for sure and 3 stars is due to the chicken not being to par when it comes to.quality fried chicken which is something we are blessed with Im the bay as well as it being overpriced which for the area is wrong in many ways considering most couldnt afford to eat here even if they wanted to.

If you dont show up at least one hour before the close (could be more), they will tell you they are closed even though the door is wide open and their Open sign is lit.

Every time I visit JJ Fish and Chicken (this particular one) Im treated and greeted with great respect. The food here is good nomatter what I choose to order and the place is Always clean which I like as well, especially during these times of the Covid-19. I dont get a chance to visit as often as Id like to because I live so far away but whenever Im in town and hungry my first thought is to come here. I highly recommend this spot for people to go to if you like great tasting food, a clean restaurant and want to be treated as a human being!!

Great comfort food. I would call it southern style as they primary serve fried foods which are common in the Mid-Atlantic South. Place needs to step up some with their. sanitation so only 3 stars right now.

Fast service, cheap and good quality food

I really appreciate being able to eat delicious southern inspired food while I get my laundry done. I am particularly fond of the catfish and fried zucchini but unless you want enough sodium for the weak its best to ask for low salt especially on the zucchini. They have a great selection of fish and chicken, sides, and other odds and ends.

Boom food on everything go get the 🐥🐣🐥 stick OOMMGG!!$

I tried all the fish/oysters/scallops/shrimp & gumbo....all are great!!!....have yet to try the chicken/ jumbalia & sides like:fried mushrooms/zucchini/hush puppies/onion rings....but my future treat with them im sure will be satisfying.

Chicken was good. I ordered a side of fries and mac and cheese. Never received my fries which I wouldve preferred because the Mac was not worth it. I wasnt about to walk back so it was annoying

Local hood chicken & fish spot. They can season and fry some fish for sure. A bit pricey but worth it for a quick meal. In addition, the cakes are amazing! They are made outside and shipped in.

When im feeling lazy and dont want to fry my own fish I come here. Not sure about the sides but the fish and fries are usually pretty good.

Reminds me of hime in Chicago. The service is the same as well. Terrible. Most of the time my order is wrong. I call an hour before close and they turn off the phones. Change your hours if you aren’t going to accept orders an hour before.

3 way combo cost $20 but you only get 4 pieces of fish, 10 shrimps and a hand full of fries. The shrimps were oversalted. What a rip off. Im never going back.

New place so its clean with plenty of parking. A large cake and pie selection to choose from. Various combo and plates to mix and match seafood. French fries were good and seasoned well. My catfish nuggets were just okay. No seasoning. Didnt come with lemon. Condiments were offered so I grabbed some hot sauce. If I had known I had to ask for lemon then I would have. It was just okay, Ive had better elsewhere. Not terrible though.

Super delicious chicken wings. Every order comes with fries (HINT: crack the box just a little as soon as you get it or the steam from the food will make your fries nice and soggy by the time you get home) and two pieces of wheat bread. ALL deserts are delicious, especially the banana pudding and nilla wafers.

This is the best JJs, food is cooked right, plenty of condiments, tasty desserts, good prices, great gumbo 😋
