Going to miss this Toys R Us, quite a legacy here at this building and it’s crazy to see it go. Great place to get toys as a kid, always enjoyed stopping in here. Moving on to different things now, just couldn’t last in this new Amazon Age.

Really nice customer service. I was in a hurry and looking for an obscure toy and two different people did their best to help me. In lady found what I was looking for. The checkout lanes were well-staffed and the lines were organized and fast.

Been going here my whole life. Hopefully this one stays open organized for being a toy store and kids constantly grabbing and putting stuff back. They also match prices on Amazon keep in mind just pull up the prime price and you are good to go. Lines get crazy during holidays but thats a given.

There are still some pretty good deals left on top selling toys but get there fast because they are done in 12 days if not before. I got a collectors mega blocks set, a Nerf gun and some other things for 50% off. Also shelving and fixtures. So sad they are permanently closing. :(

My mom and I came into the store looking for a certain doll and 3 ladies helped us one named Jennifer another was Lisa but I didn’t get the other lady who was working at the customer service desks name. Every one of them was super nice and extremely helpful! They helped price match and explained their policies to us for the future. It was so refreshing to get such great customer service! My family hasn’t shopped at Toys R Us much but that changes today. We will be returning for all future toy purchases! Thanks again for being so customer oriented!!

This location lacked a lot in my opinion. And even though it was a huge sales day and there were employees everywhere it was still hard to find help that actually knew any answers to anything. Except in electronics. The guy was helpful. Also after we were exiting the store the guy that was bringing a large item to our car had a radio on. Can u believe that I heard her radio to him to check our cart because she thought we had something we didn’t pay for?? It’s thanksgiving day!! They have ppl at the door to check receipts as you walk out. Plus the worker that walked to the car with us. So how would it be possible for Us to conceal anything?! I just spent $500! As irritated as I was that she was basically being a coward by not looking through our cart herself she put it in others to do. If she was so sure then why didn’t she look through it herself? Or say anything at the checkout? It really rubbed me the wrong way and I plan on complaining to the manager. The isles were so constricted you couldn’t even pass by. I understand it’s not normally that way. But she was pretty fake in my opinion. Acted really nice to our face and then tried to act like we took something. Clearly if we did the guy checking receipts and the guy loading our stuff would have seen it!

Greatest selection of toys around. They have everything you want. I take my grandbabies here to look around so I can see what they really want for birthdays and Christmas. Its a great way to see because certain things really catch their eye. I heard alone toys r us are closing. I hope not. You cant do this with kids online like you can in the store.

They have a great rewards program that gives you money back to use on your next purchase. You also have exclusive coupons and catalogs mailed or emailed to you. Most of the coupons are 20% off certain items or total purchase. The store is very organized and categorized to find things quickly and easily.

The line was wrapped to the very back of the building for check out. The cashiers were quick efficient the line moved well the store was very well organized a little picked over but at 4 on a Saturday before Christmas it was in good shape. Hadnt been in the store in 20 years. But I have to say today I was really impressed thanks for making shopping for my granddaughters a whole lot easier

Ok, this toys r us is by far the least helpful one of all the ones I have ever visit, I live on downriver and I refused to do service in this one because I never can find someone or some odd reason there is only on cashier when its was crazy busy. You will get a headache when you finally leave and I didnt even have my kids with me, just the service is terrible🙃

My review has totally changed because of my experience today. I had a wonderful experience with the cashier named Tyler Dziendziel. He was so good at his job I asked him to write down his name! He was courteous and kind and yet swift and professional. I bought many items and he was quick and informational when it came to the discounts. He knew what he was doing, which at this time of year it is a rarity to have a cashier who knows what is going on. He is a gem on the Toys R Us team and I hope they recognize him. In regards to the store, there were many checkouts open, which was a positive change from the last time when I was at Toys R Us. The store was clean, there were plenty of carts available. The only downside is that the store can be confusing to find things, but I suppose it is a store that one does not mind wandering around! Congratulations on the changes and the great team member!

Hands on help by helping you look for the item you want. Managers ready in seconds to answer questions and give you sales price for any thing incorrectly rung up at the register. It was outstanding. Grateful for the special service.

They always have a great selection of toys to choose from this time of year. The prices arent too bad and the long lines are faster moving than they appear. My only complaint is that the shelves have empty spaces where items appear to have sold out. At least this location has ample parking spaces available.

Had to stop in and buy a toddler bed today for my grandson. Found the bed right away and walked up front to the registers and there was a person in line in front of us and a young gentleman said step over here and we will get you takin care of right away. We were out of there in a minute. Great customer service! Keep up the good work .

Would have given 5 stars because other than Christmas time the store is clean and well stocked. The reason I didnt give the 5th star is checking out is always strange. All the lanes are closed except for the gaming counter and the customer service desk!

Store was tidy and well put together. The kids were able to find exactly what they were looking for quickly. They also had more than one register open, which was a plus!

Lines is long but they have several registers so it moves quick. Now that its closed I can say they let the place go. Disorganized, and not enough real toys...too many collectibles...those are not toys corporate America. Get it together. Kids want playable toys.

Awww man. Store is going to be missed. As a child ( and adult) this place was a holy pilgrimage . I think there high prices in combo with cheap online distributors killed this chain. I hope they make a return in the future...and are more competitive with pricing .

Andy the manager is great. Has always went above and beyond to help me with special orders or special requests. Employees here are helpful, shelves are always fully stocked, very clean, nice selection of everything out there.

Everytime I go here I always find some very good deals. And the checkout guy was super friendly and nice. Awesome experience.

Truly going to miss this place. Much of my childhood was spent waiting in great anticipation of going to the toy store. By toy store, I meant Geoffreys Place, obviously.Ppl think that you can replace such an establishment with a few aisles in a Wal-Mart or a Target. No, you cant. While the prices may have been slightly high on some stuff, they were reasonable on other things and the selection was great. Truly going to miss you, Toys R Us.

There are no employees to help, also the employees that you do find answer questions in one word answers and run off so you are not allowed to ask for anything. I asked for a baby monitor and they remove the monitors from the packaging and give them to you in a brown box, the item is open thrown into a brown box and missing items such as manuals and warranty information along with power cords missing. I would understand one box just as a display but they said they remove every single box they have so no matter what I would have gotten an open baby monitor with missing items. Then the so called store manager Andy gives me the response of that is corporate policy. He gives an attitude when I asked him a question, he then stormed off yelling BYE as if he was a little child. Which would fit I guess never want to grow up, hes a Toys R Us kid I can see this poorly ran store being the next store closing in the near future.

I will absolutely miss this company and store. So many memories from childhood to now with my kids. I never had a problem with a employee being rude or not finding what i wanted. They only think i could think of that was not that great was some of the prices on somethings. But other then that all i have to say is Ill miss going here 😭

Terrible service. Waited 15 minutes in line with only one person in front of us. Clerk started to chit chat with us and we said enough talking. She stated she could only go as fast as the cash register! Will go out of my way to shop at a different store. Terrible experience. Had to add a star to post but it deserves zero.

This store is a good sized store with many different options for toys for kids. It can be hard to find what you want and I feel like I have to go through the whole store to find something, but if you want a toy they probably have it.

I have never had a problem with this store, their staff or their selection and have a lot of nice memories shopping here. Thanks for all of the years, ToysRUs!

I dont wanna grow up, Im a Toys R Us kid. Theres a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with. From bikes to trains to video games, its the biggest toy store there is. I dont wanna grow up, cuz if I did... I wouldnt be a ToysRUs kid 😔😢😭Sad to see ya go.

Although the store was chaotic because it was 1 week before Christmas, there were plenty of workers on the floor to help you find what you need. All the cash registers were open so although the lines were long, they moved extremely quick.

Such a shame. Always loved this store. It was always clean, well stocked,and had really great workers.

Black Friday sale was non-existent. Losing the store makes me order less things online. I now try to get out and visit my favorite stores as often as possible. Please do the same, and stop the loss of brick and mortar.Now that the Lincoln Park Sears is closing, we all need to do our part to keep stores alive. Had what web said and even though it was Xmas season with hundreds of people in line check out was amazingly fast.

Average store compared to ToysRUs in the area. Very nice staff and management. Used to work for the company and this is a pretty good store

Lots of toy options, however... the store is usually a mess, takes forever to pay for your items because there is only 1 person that ever works the registers no matter how busy, the staff is typically rude and not helpful. If they didnt have such a large selection of toys, I would never go to this store. Meijer, Walmart, and Target have pretty decent selections of toys... if Toys R Us doesnt step up their game, i dont see them lasting too much longer.

I cant tell you how helpful this young lady was, we went up to the service desk to pick up an order, she was super busy, super polite, took care of my order while helping others. Best experience Ive had at Toys R Us thank you.

My experience with my recent purchase has been pretty crazy to say the least. I ordered a kids kitchen set on the 9th of Dec. It was not in stock in store, so I paid in store and had it delivered to my home. On Dec 15 my package was delivered, but before I got home, it was stolen off my porch. I filed a police report, and after toyrus corporate wouldnt call me back and i got the run around from Fedex I went to the store directly. The lady at customer service was very rude. I then spoke to the Store Manager Marvin who pulled me aside and talked to me about my situation. He then went to see if what I ordered was now in stock. It was! And he brought it out to me. I cant thank Marvin enough for his amazing customer service skills and his understanding and positive attitude. He handled this situation so well and from here on out will continue .y business with him. Thank you Marvin!

Clean store lots of toys but no real deals yetWhen i was a kid you dreamed of going to Toys R Us it was like the gold ticket to willy wonkas chocolate factory there wasnt a toys r us store in Detroit with a million residents here @ that time, you had to travel way into suburbs to find one when i finally got there i was so overwhelmed i left empty handed😣

Find another store to purchase from, preferably not a Toys R Us at all, but certainly not this location. I tried to use the ship to store feature, which I was then notified that the item was out of stock, after they had already charged my credit card. When I tried to call the number they provided to rectify the situation, my several attempts went unanswered. I then sent emails, which have also gone unanswered. It has been several days with no response and the charge is STILL on my account. Terrible, terrible customer service.

Even though everyone is losing there jobs they were upbeat and friendly.

Going out of business, end of an era. Still has a lot of toys, clothes and seasonal items. Dont expect any helpful staff they are down to bare minimum staffing.

Honestly the store itself is ran pretty much entirely like most other Toys R Us locations as far as floor planning and check-out and service. My reasoning is for this stores poor rating rests mostly on its dilapidated appearance and function. The upper walls towards the front are filthy and visibly so, found multiple broken carts in my quest to find a cart and to what I suspect is due to lack of floor space feels quite cluttered and claustrophobic. I have worked in retail for years with a fortune five hundred company and would expect my fellow management team to have a genuine heart attack at this stores disrepair and a correction to both update, repair, and clean would have been long since executed.

Helpful workers but the store is showing its age. Staff around the holiday were clearly over worked and under staffed.

Prefer not to shop at Toys R Us bc they are so much more expensive than Walmart or Target. But this location has made up their own Price Match Policy. They only price match of the closest location of that store has the item In Stock. This Is NOT part of Toys R Uss nationals policy. They are suppose to price match as long as you can order it online from their website. I have called the customer service & they say each store can make up their own criteria if they so choose. I will NOT ship at this location ever again. Very Rude management. I hope they go out of business like the Dearborn store.
