Upon pulling into Walts auto I wasnt to impressed with the selection of autos for sale however I was there specifically for one car. An 08 cadalliac Dts that had low mileage. It has around 35 thousand miles on it. 2 previous owners. As far as Cadillac go it certainly didnt have all the options. Such as traction control, navigation and several other things. However is in great shape obviously for a car that only has that amount of miles on it . Now hes asking $12,000 for the car. Im not unfamiliar with these cars having owned five different Cadillacs in the past. So I researched the car thoroughly with three professional car appraisal companies. Kelly blue book, Edmunds, and the one the car is listed with, car gurus. Every one said the same thing. Even with the low mileage its overpriced by almost 4 thousand dollars. I offered him more than I should have, 95 hundred to wich he replied were to far apart and hes been in the business for 40 years and that car fax says its worth more. Well there the only ones because everyone else says differently. PT Barnum said a sucker is born every minute. Well Im not willing to be that sucker. So buyer be ware. While its a nice car, its just not worth the price placed on it. You cant get a bank loan because its over 10 years old. If it gets totaled or even receives damage your insurance will not cover it. Low mileage just doesnt account for thousands to much. Hes hanging his hat on the mileage. Even the offer I made was to much for it. Glad he didnt take it. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell it. Do your homework people. Dont be a sucker. Also not one person there had a mask on. Not one.
