This place is the embodiment of a 20th century music house they sell practically everything and what they dont sell they can get for you the next day I went in for a harmonica and came out with eight theyre amazing I have been going there for 25 years all skill levels are welcome.

There arent a lot of music stores around Payson, Salem, and Spanish Fork and so I was hesitant about needing to buy my supplies for my children from them (due to lack of competition). However, I found that they are reasonably priced with great customer service. I brought in my sons trumpet once and they quickly pointed out how I could easily fix the problem myself to avoid a repair charge. I appreciate that honesty and will continue to visit them for repairs and supplies.

The guy showing us the guitars was no pressure and didnt try to sell us the super expensive ones. She has been playing for a yer now and that guitar is still her favorite.

Disclaimer, this is my home town music store and I have lived here and played guitar the last 10 years. I am a biased reviewer. When I was a kid I came in a lot, played expensive instruments and bought a strap and a pick and they were patient. When I got older, they were an awesome help in talking through my instrument plans even when I wasnt buying. I have now purchased 3 guitars, and a couple of pedals here in addition to guitar strings, picks, straps, etc. I hope all music instrument sales dont go online because I love having a local music store and Boothe Brothers does it better than anyone.

I wasnt sure if I should do even two stars. I bought a good quality flute used after I researched the brand and took it in to see what it would cost to clean it and get it in shape. They assured me that I could get an estimate and get all the information before deciding if i wanted to spend money that might not be worth it because I didnt know that much about the repairs. The few minutes I spent in the store setting it up to send the flute to the repairman, the one owner kept making comments about how people who wanted to have their children play needed to realize it was pricey and they shouldnt even be thinking about musical instruments unless they had money. If you dont have a lot of money your kids shouldnt have opportunities? The third party repairman called me personally and told me in detail what it would take to get the instrument in good shape and that it was worth it, so we went ahead with the repairs. When I got the call from Boothe Brothers that it was done and given a price I went right in. BUT then the price was 1/3 more! The same owner who had made me feel inadequate before was SO horrible about me wanting to pay the price I was quoted and was demeaning and rude in front of the other customers. Now to top it off, a year later, after my daughter has struggled to play this instrument, her band teacher takes a look at it and tells us that the pads were put on badly and other things were repaired shoddily so the flute hasnt played well the whole time.SO . . .money is better than honesty and good work?!?! I will try to not ever go back but they are really the only music store in the area,so I grit my teeth and hope for the best! ( which so far I havent ever seen at this store)
