Went for a Starbucks. They had one girl there it was supposed to be open. But the girl was just setting up. Everything was empty. The poor girl was going crazy. People were lining up. Did not stay.

They definitely have a lot of supplies, choices to choose from. However, on my visit it was so busy that I couldnt find one associate who was not behind the counter. Otherwise the visit was great. The cashiers were very friendly while helping me check-out, and there were plenty of carts in stock to use unlike most Walmarts in the area.

Wow! Safeway sure has changed. I know that I’m more old school, but I worked for Safeway for almost 15 years and our emphasis was on customer service. We knew customers had a choice on what stores to shop at and we appreciated that they came to us and supported our store. That in turn helped us support our families. I recently moved here to Sparks from the North Valleys and figured I’d stop in here again. Smiths is closer but I figured I’d pop into Safeway for a change. The store was neat and clean, but the staff is terrible. Not one employee greeted me or asked if they could help me find anything. I got to the checkout counter and the woman at the check stand didn’t acknowledge that I was there and just started ringing up my groceries. I tried to engage her in some friendly banter and she hardly responded at all. She had a surly attitude, handed me my receipt and don’t thank me or anything.Smiths greets their customers and I’m usually asked if I need help. No more Safeway for me. I don’t recognize them anymore.

Love this store every thing you need and Wonderful prices clean and very nice and employees are right there to help you find anything you need

I have been shopping at this Safeway since it was built on Vista about 20 years ago. Today it is in the worst shape ever. The Starbucks is good and the pharmacy is good even if the line is long. The real issues fall on the deli and the butcher block. If you can find someone at the deli who understands you well enough to process an order, it will only be after standing there for 30 minutes with them staring at you and the other dozen customers. If you need deli just go somewhere else. The butcher block has sold me rancid chicken breast 3 times in the past 2 years. I find products way past their expiration dates in the coolers. The staff is semi-helpful and sort of rude sometimes. There are much better choices in the community. The store is usually clean but the lines are always long and it seems like they dont have a clue as to what their busy times are. Sunday morning at 9am they may have 5 check stands open but on Friday at 5pm only 2.

This grocery store is over priced. But their vegetable area is soooo nice! There veggies look beautiful and clean! They also have a nice variety of alcohol and Asian food

Extremely rude Asian guy working at the sushi bar next to the deli. Threw up his hands and signaled to his sushi saying “I only do sushi” could have been much more cordial but no he wanted to act like that🤨 I never asked him to make me a breakfast burrito.. only asked if someone is working this section today. Then this lady from the back finally came to make it after 15 min of waiting. refused to make the potatoes since it was more work for her. (I don’t eat meat or cheese) so it was veggies only and she couldn’t even wrap that. Had all of the veggies falling out of the tortilla. Still charged me regular price. I’m from CA where they always make them quick and on point in Safeway. But I guess here.. it’s not like that. Never again. They need to close down that deli section......or pay them more so they aren’t so angry at customers..... yikes I just wanted a breakfast burrito.. if that’s too much then don’t advertise it😂

Has a great selection of dry products. The veggies and fruit was wonderful. I enjoyed the salads from the deli. Over all great. But only shop once in a while do to the pricing that is slightly above my budget.

This isnt our regular store for groceries. But it is a nice to have just 5 minutes down the road.I will stop in and grab something that we are out off on the way to drop off or pick up someone from school or a friends house.Store is clean and stays well stocked. Very rarely are they out of something that I need. We do love their fresh fruits and veggies compared to other stores in the area.

The Deli in this store is not safe! It used to be clean and nice, but recently went totally down hill. Lots of out of date products, the fresh and hot food is old and the whole Deli area is dirty. Super disappointing, now I have to go out of my way to Smiths or Savemart.

I truly enjoy shopping at Safeway. They are always well stocked and everyone is always friendly and helpful. Would truly recommend 👌.

I love to stop here when we are in the area. Living in Fernley doesnt give you a big shopping choice and Safeway has some items we cant get elsewhere. Like their Baked Potato Soup. Just one of their daily soup choices. And the bakery items. I love their fresh bagels and donuts. Very nice store, a bit pricey to shop on a regular basis but nice for a treat!

I tried other places to get my vaccine shot in Safeway was the only place that had my shot and get it right away excellent experience there

This store is not anywhere close to me, however, when I know I will be in the area, I love running in to do some shopping. This store is very clean. Great produce department. The bakery department is small yet stocked with variety and it often tempts me...once in a while I yield! They have a nice wines selection and deli area as well. I wish it were closer to where I live.

Safeway is always a great store. Most importantly, their produce is high quality. It’s not a cheap store, but prevents me from going to the biggest box store around only to end up here for their meats and produce.

Awful. My son and I got a sandwich for lunch from the deli on Vista Blvd and both got sick a couple hours later. The place is horrible and I would never tell anyne to go there.

Deli lacks volume and selection during the week hence only 4 stars. Went specifically for Mac and cheese at approx. 630 pm and they were clean out...

I was in this store yesterday and was disappointed by the self check out experience. Not only was my club member discount not applied, but I also struggled to find two $20 bills from a stack of 10 that the reader would take. It took the first one just fine but I fumbled with the register for about five minutes before giving up and putting the rest on a debit card. Switching payment types mid transaction was also not a straight forward process.All of this could have been helped by help from the self check out attendant, but after walking quickly by and mentioning that it, looked like I was having some trouble... to which I agreed they just stood at the front of the queue and smiled. I understand that we are all having issues staffing positions in our businesses and training those that do come in training is a process that takes time, but I feel like part of the reason to shop at a somewhat more expensive grocery like Safeway is that these issues are taken care of by management.Im likely to continue to go to Safeway, but theres a Smiths down the way that I dont have the same expectations of with lower prices just down Baring I might try out next time too.

Lines were VERY LONG. The store looked beautiful, it was very well stocked. But there was no help.

This is known as Vons where we live, but its the same brand. Love shopping here for certain things. The one I go to has a great baker. They are not all the same from store to store within grocery store chains, Ive noticed. And I love how they wont step on smaller businesses. All of the Vons I shop at make deals with small bakeries to not sell the same items (with very few exceptions) which is more than I can say for places like Starbucks that will send nasty, hurtful, vicious letters to local coffee shops about driving them out of competition and putting them out of business. Vons/Safeway shows you can be corporate and successful while nurturing a healthy, diverse economy. Five stars all day in my book. And the Monopoly game they have in stores is kind of fun. Ive won so many snacks and drinks. The tokens add up too. I already cashed out $25 in gift cards from the tokens. Use them up before the prizes get claimed! What have you guys won from the Monopoly game?

A hyper market with good quality items. Entire area is neat and clean with bright display of merchandise. OffersWide range of desserts, cakes, vegetables, lot more home need items. Nice staff. Located in a decent place of DAndria Shopping area, Vista boulevard.Lot of parking available.

Horrible experience today at this store, first a deli employee was clearly not ready to be placed on the sales floor and needed a LOT more training, then thier co-worker needs to get his head out of the clouds and actually help his fellow employee push a few measly buttons as I was waiting over 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) for the first employee to figure out how to read a manual and push 4 buttons (FYI it never happened as I ended up leaving). Unfortunately when I finally got ahold of management all I was given was excuses about how they are shot on staff. Well I hate to break it to you but that was NOT a staffing issue it was a training issue and obviously management is to incompetent to realize this. (Note to the management team: only incompetent management and employees come up with excuses, proper management comes up with solutions.)

So pleased with the COVID vaccine availability at Safeway and the wonderful staff they have working to ensure everything runs smoothly!

Vista Safeway 7-24-21 - Pump did not give credit for points.Sign says $4.33, I was charged $4.37Manager said, nothing I can do.Called the 800 number and they said go to another store, so I did Raleys.What is happening is the pumps are not giving credit and most people do not check. Find another store.

Great flower section. My only complaint for this store is the Deli. They have less than average customer service in the Deli as well as long wait times even with no line.

Safeway has higher prices for sure, but the store is nice and worth the extra expense to shop there.

Check the dates on food here. Found our fresh baked cookies to be 14 days since baked. A cheese veggie plater had slimey veggies and labeled prepared right here and date packed was 9 days from purchase date. Friendly place, most food is great!

Love it! The store is always really clean! The workers are always professional, cheerful and very polite. I find the prices are better than other grocery stores, better selection and fresher produce. Organics are available at a reasonable price. I have to say that I really prefer this store and now recommend this store more than others in the neighborhood.

Late hours help

Employees are incredibly rude and give dirty looks to customers that are choosing or have no choice but to wear a mask.I stopped shopping there a long time ago because their were so many expired products on the shelves and management did nothing about it...Then thought I would run in today to grab a few items and was looked at and treated so rude because of my mask.This occurred by more than one employee.I definitely wont be back.

This is the better Safeway in the area by a landslide. The employees are polite & knowledgeable, & this Safeway has much, much larger sections (bakery, deli, seafood, WINE, etc) than the one in northwest Reno.

Safeway has fresh veggies and fruits with lots of variety. They also have a bulk section with nuts, cereal, dried fruits, and chocolates. An extensive seafood and meat section is also available. If you look they have some seafood and fish that has its origins in the US, but not very many. Also outstanding is the bakery section ; they bake theirs own bagels, breads, and sweets. Good cheeses are in a section as well. Safeway is more expensive, so be prepared to pay more.

Grocery stock feels lacking on some unique items, store is always very clean and quality of deli, fruit, veg and meats are generally higher than most places in Sparks

Pretty good selection but, what is with the direction of travel arrows? Are we in kindergarten? These just give bored karens another reason to be mad at people.
