Was greeted by both cashiers as soon as I walked through the door. As I walked toward the back of the store I passed a worker who was very clearly busy, but he stopped what he was doing and greeted me and asked if I needed help finding something. Normally, Id say no thank you, as I like to walk through the store to see what all they have and where to find things for future reference, but I was in a hurry that day so I asked what section the drill bits were in. The young man stopped what he was doing and took me to the aisle where the drill bits were and asked if I needed help finding anything else. I asked if he knew if they had any bigger bags of ice melt than the ones I saw on an end cap, and he said he didnt know but would find out. Two minutes later he came and found me and told me where to find the bigger bags.It is so refreshing to see a store again that has employees who value customer service. It seems that art is long forgotten in most businesses these days.I will definitely be shopping here again! Thank you!

Yesterday Richard in the paint department went out of his way to help me put together my order. Excellent customer service and product knowledge. (Something another big name brand store couldnt be bothered with).Thats been my common experience with this store. Staff is always eager to help with a smile. Thanks Big R!

Helpful friendly staff. Great selection of hardware, feed and pet supplies, camping and fishing gear, and other household items! Loved that they let the local Cub Scouts sell popcorn there too!

SO glad they are now in Sparks. Customer service is great, they tell or show you where something is located. Quite a wide variety of products & prices not outrageous & less expensive than some. Able to get something for kitties plus home heater filters. Will be going back.

So incredibly happy with this store… (This store is in the same location as the old Ace hardware store... in some ways similar, but in most ways incredibly better.) first off, let’s start out with an overview of the store this is my first time into a BIG R… And I must say I was really impressed lots of good quality items and very reasonable prices. So if you’re looking for hardware, plumbing, ranch or farm supplies or just looking for a great quality coat or coveralls this is the store. All the employees that I met were fantastic and I am already looking forward to going back!

Everything a rancher would need in quality clothing, work boots, tools related to cattle ranching and equestrian needs also they carry high quality alfalfa hay! Fair prices and great service!

Bought a couple spray bottles less than a week ago. One doesn’t work. Brought it back. Store won’t swap it out without a receipt (even though their own return policy only requires a receipt for CASH) and refused to attempt look up the transaction with the debit card I used. Buyer beware, it’s 2021, and this “new” store has a return policy unlike any other retailer.

This store has a little bit of everything. If you havent been here yet, with it being pretty new chances are you havent, I would recommend stopping in to look around. Its like tractor supply but with even more things available. I definitely see myself returning in the future.

You have to come check out this great new big store It has everything from pet supply plumbing needs hardware clothing you name it they got it. Check them out and theyll become your regular hardware store.

It is a good place, lots in stock, quality stuff. No veterans discount like Home Depot and Lowes but it is close to home so it is faster.

Went looking for some spray paint, steel and PVC pipe. We were quickly greeted by a worker who was able to direct us to just what we needed. Prices seen pretty good, too. So much nicer and friendlier that Home Depot or Lowes. BigR will be the place i go to first for any home improvement needs.

Love this store, I thought I would miss it when I left Fallon, NV but here it is in North Reno ya! The people are nice there too they remind me of the small town service.

Fairly good prices on the feed I looked at but the selection is limited - unless you are a Purina fan (which Im not). Clean and well organized store.

This place is huge and has everything you can almost want for repairing your home and barn, painting, plumbing, electrical, equine, dogs, and cats. Camping, BBQ,s paddle boards. Its like someone mixed up a Home Depot, BIG 5 sporting good, REI, and Tractor Supply all in one. Great service from friendly knowledgeable staff.

I hated to see Ace go but now that BigR has completed most of their remodel, I have to admit that it a great improvement. Big R seems to have everything. The store layout makes browsing enjoyable. Cant wait until they complete the outside area.

Not an experience with the store but with the store manager Kelly. Was standing in line at the post office (had been for the past 30 minutes) she had stormed her way to the front of the line and demanded someone bring out an order of chicks for her. The overwhelmed workers at the post office explained that she would have to wait in line like everyone else and she then yelled at the employee “well then you better deliver it”. probably shouldn’t wear your uniform and name tag if you are going to be rude to people.

You’re better off driving to Fallon. The staff in Fallon is incredibly helpful and kind. I had found some pricing on fencing off the Big R website that we needed, but apparently the fencing was “not from their website” despite the fact that blatantly said Big R. Instead of trying to be helpful and trying to find some sort of solution, Kelly (who happens to be the store manager) was INSANELY rude. And kept repeating that, that wasn’t the stores personal website. I called Big R in Fallon where they were quick to look up the sku number, find what we needed and some other alternatives within a two minute conversation.

I truly recommend Big R. There staff and there selection are truly amazing.

Who does this in a store. A product is priced and they will not honor the sticker price of the product! Seriously you go off what’s in your paperwork in your computer???? But, not what is on the sticker out of the floor! We may never shop here again!!! What poor service is that!!!!

Nice store, clean and well stocked

Used to live in Fallon and Big R was just too much fun to go shopping. We love to camp and cook good food over and open fire. Big R has the equipment for that. You want work clothes or cowboy chic, Big R has it. Love it.

Will have to go back in the hopes of a better experience given its now my local hardware store. Didnt have what I was looking for&customer svc was...well, it wasnt good4 me. Seems to be stocked for farms&pets. I needed product for my residential lawn. Walked out with Miracle Gro lawn food??? Interesting options😒

WOW, this changes everything, this store is just amazing you can find all kinds of tools and stuff for your garden and some stuff for your house, they have a great variety of household items, all kinds of sprinklers, plants, and I saw a beautiful peach tree, and apple trees, this is gonna be my new shopping store when im around, thanks Big R

DON’T BUY ANY OF THEIR WEEDWACKERS. I purchased one that would not start. It was still in warranty I called the number inside the paperwork that came with it. I was told that the nearest repair shop that honors their warrantee I would have to drive 144 miles. I called the store and spoke with the manager KELLY, and she said sorry once you put gas in the machine you can’t return it. KELLY actually told me that it was against the law for them to except it as a return. Turns out that was a lie. I went to HOME DEPOT To purchase another Weedwhacker. They told me first of all that I can return it no matter what (Even after putting gas in it) within 30 days. They also told me that there was a very local repair shop Affiliated with Home DepotI AM OUT OVER $100You’re better off going to Home Depot

Theyre almost done coverting this store from the ACE Hardware it used to be (today is Feb 2, 2021). I just got a nice Carhartt jacket here, theyve got a good inventory of those products! The people were good here too.

The Ace Hardware Store on Baring in Sparks is now Big R. Alot of changes going on but I am going to miss shopping Ace. The only negative thing I have to say is the owner needs to stop dragging his feet and get a website for the store and have Sparks added to the local commercials. I cant wait to see the transformation.

I purchased a Metal Dura Fork on Tuesday and I used it on Wednesday the very first time I used it to up root a tumble weed it bent to the point it was unusable. I was able to bend it back into shape but it bent again so I discontinued using it.I returned to the store to return it the clerk told me that I had not purchased it on Tuesday but maybe 2019 and I could not return it since I had no receipt. Fortunately a manage was called and he recalled the history for the item and indeed I had purchased it.I want to thank the manager, but the clerk was so rude I was shocked I can not remember being treated like that for a long time.

This is the old Ace Hardware store location. They have a bunch of stuff in this store. I dont know if it is the same people and the changed to Big R or if they bought out Ace...

Big R replaced Ace Hardware. So far looks like an major improvement.
