My wife and I order hundred of corrugated plastic signs a year for our business. We have always ordered them online because other places we have called would take several days just to email us a quote. We order them online for $2.00 each when we order 100 at a time. Sometime $1.00 a piece if they are having a sale. However, I always like to support fellow local business owners when it is feasible for our business and mutually beneficial for both of us.I came across FastSigns this morning during an online search. I gave them a call to get a quote. A lady answered the phone named Carmen or Carma. She put me on hold for quite sometime and came back on the phone to tell me it would $8.50 per sign when I ordered a hundred at a time. I was taken back by the price difference of course. I told her that we had been getting them for $2 a piece online and asked if there was a reason for such a big price difference and before I even finished my sentence she responds Well you can just order them online in a rude tone.Ironically, my intention was to explore if there was a way to get the price down to a more competitive price point so we could do business together. I was willing to compromise to do some do. For example, maybe we went with a smaller sign or different print option. I am always willing to pay a little bit more to keep my business local but certainly not 4.25x more without a reason. Even, a response like we are a local shop and our cost are a lot higher than the online giants but we would love to have your business and support would have made me want to continue the conversation.I do not give them a one star because of their price but because of the response when I inquired if there was a specific reason why the price was that high compared to some of their competition.I have started, owned, and sold several businesses. I always tell my front line folks to state our value when someone presses us about price. In this case, if your price is $8.50 per sign, if your giving me the same product but are asking 4.25x more then tell me what I am getting for that 4.25x. A quicker turn around? A local business owner who cares more about my business than the online giants do? A better quality product? Obviously, she proved to me that I am not getting better customer service for that price.This lady shot the messenger because she didnt like the message. I see a lot of reviews about how great the owners are.I am rooting for them and their business. Hopefully, they are able to give this lady a bit more training so they dont lose more business.

FastSigns created three signs for the Upstate Forever branch office in Spartanburg. They could not have made the job any easier. They worked from our mockups and sent back proofs that were great and we quickly appoved them. They installed the signs. It was effortless on our part. They were friendly, fast and efficient. A woman named Carmen or Carma answered the phone and was extremely rude. I was calling to ask about somesimple lettering and she nearly bit my head off. When I tried to confirm/make sure I was understanding her correctly, she snapped at me even further. She made me feel as though I should have apologized for even calling and bothering her.

Fastsigns truly exceeded my expectations. I had them design a car magnet (w/ bus.name & logo) & bumper stickers for my business. I am quite a perfectionist, but the quality level of my completed product surpassed my expectations. The layout, design, color etc. were right on point.During the creation process a Fastsign associate kept me in the loop as far as its progress, and I even received a direct call from the graphic design artist himself with some questions, wanting to deliver to me exactly what I had envisioned. On top of that I was regularly presented with an updated proof for me to personally critique.When I arrived to pickup my order I was presented with 2x the amount of my order... They allowed me keep (for free!!) two other orders identical to my pickup order; that had just a slightly lighter print which I can still use at my discretion. This just goes to show you how meticulous they are in being committed to delivering quality!What an awesome service, and I will continue to use them.
