They got great supplies and equipment. The only place in town to get gear. Staff is super helpful and friendly. When I can’t wait on Amazon to deliver, this is my go to place! They rent equipment and gear here as well. I rented their led lights to test some things and rented their flash. Super easy process and easy to deal with.

Im just getting into photography. We took a trip to Iceland and I went to Spartan photo to rent a nice lens and get advice so we could have awesome pictures. I couldnt decide between a 17-35 or 24-70. They convinced me to get the 24-70, even though I said I wanted to shoot landscapes and get big backgrounds in my shots.They really missed the mark on their recommendation. My kit lens did a better job at what I wanted, so now Im out $160 for a rental that didnt even do what I wanted it to.I guess they have a good selection of gear, but Id be careful who you talk to at the store if you need help with anything.

We recently needed a photo enlarged and put on a canvas to display at our sons funeral. Amy went above and beyond to take great care of us. The portrait was very professionally done and turned out beautifully. We couldnt be more satisfied and grateful!

I came here on Saturday asking about a lens adapter. The young lady that helped me seemed to really not know what I was talking about. She probably should have asked someone who has worked there longer. I know what I was looking for exists, but she came from the back room and told me what I was looking for didnt exist. I told her that what I was looking for did exist and she acted like she was done helping me. I usually look online for stuff but really needed the customer service aspect this time. Will be going to Charlotte this week to talk to then. Store does have a great selection as always.

Feel very lucky to live less than an hour from this place. My brother and I have been getting our film developed here for at least 3-4 years and they never disappoint with the quality of the scans. Their selection of film is top notch and they have the nicest and most helpful employees ever. Will definitely be supporting this place until the day I bite the bust. The best thing about Spartanburg:I can’t express how lucky I am to have these guys so close to home. Yesterday during a paid photo shoot one of my flash bulbs broke, and thanks to them I was able to swing by to pick up a replacement and be back on set in less than 30 min. This is just one of the many times Spartan photo has saved the day for me. Seriously, their customer service is unrivaled.

I came to this location for an out of town shoot after a rental I had arranged through another provider had an unavoidable cancelation. I made my reservation online and was extremely relieved to have a solution to a very stressful set of circumstances. However upon arrival I was informed that I would not be able to acquire my reservation as I possessed an out of state license. I informed the manager that the shoot was only 20 miles from the storefront itself and stressed the direness of the situation on my end, and was met with no sympathy nor any amount of interest in providing assistance to a customer who was very much in need of some basic human decency. I was offered a refund, which I took immediately as it was an amount of money that is absolutely absurd to charge for the items I had reserved, but was previously happy to pay as I was expecting to have been provided a solution to problem. Do not expect to receive any help from Spartan Photo Center, take your business to other capable photo store that care about the work they do and the customers that use them. I have never had an experience like this at any rental house, ever.

The best print quality that Ive seen, and Im a photographer and have worked in a photo lab for 10 years. I would highly recommend them for anything from amateur to professional photography equipment.

Lots of products and great selection. Very helpful staff. BUT where do they come up with prices? Everything in there is 2x and even 3x the price i can get it online. Im all for small business and paying a lil extra but even the most minute thing such as a 3 inch scree. Protect is 14.99 where as the same one is on amazon for 4.99. I hate that too because the staff is excellent.

Love having this resource in the upstate! I do wish their website showed their inventory accurately. I drove an hour to get there only to find out the item I needed was out of stock, but the website showed it in stock.

Went in to ask about an item for my camera. The young lady that was helping me kept walking in the back to talk to someone else about it. In the end the consensus was the item did not exist. I know the item exists just wanted to buy local. Worst customer service I have received there. Not normal.

I loved this store. I went in and everything was just laid out on display and it was beautiful. The staff were extremely welcoming and let me look at any camera my heart desired. They even told me about the brands I was interested in with unbiased facts about the performance of the cameras. 10/10 would snap again.

They were extremely helpful. Offered personal assistance on a project for some old pictures and negatives. The store is well stocked with photography items of all kinds. From the customers who were in the store at the time I was, it appeared they had a mix of professionals as well as the non-professionals like me. Will be back in the future.

I cant name one other brick and mortar camera store in the state of South Carolina. But independently it seemed to have a little bit of everything and then some. I want to go back and check out some of the specialty film rolls they carry. Were having them clean some cameras for us from work as well.

Best price on film in existence. Friendly staff, the owner is usually on the floor. They rent, buy, and sell new and used equipment. They also rent studio space. I dont really have a need to go anywhere else; I do 98% of my camera shopping there and 2% of my camera shopping at Ball photo in Asheville.

Spartan Photo Center does an excellent job meeting their customers needs. Good selection, fair pricing, timely shipping, and terrific follow-up service. Mike and Bas are the best.

Spartan Photos did an excellent job digitizing some old 35mm film. Ive tried other companies and I was disappointed, thinking maybe the film strips had aged. But with Spartan Photo, the digitized versions look like the original prints. They were quick and they even put my film strips back in the right jackets that I had labeled with dates. Very pleased!

Im new to photography and made a mistake with a lens purchase. The price was so good I didnt realize it was the wrong frame size. It was late so I sent an email and followed up with a call the next morning hoping to cancel the order before it shipped. Mike recognized me immediately from the email and had already pulled the order and started the refund. I got the refund notice email shortly after the call. This was all within an hour of them opening. The service was amazing and I look forward to shopping again. Thanks!

My GPS took me to the back but still super easy to find! Looks a little older on the outside, but inside is really nice and remodeled with lots of gear. The employees were all super nice and helpful. I took my photos to get printed (disposable camera) the cashier told me they take processing payments up from which was $12.99. I went to pick up my photos and he charged an extra $9.99 for pictures, I’m like what was the $12.99 for if the pictures are an extra $9.99 he told me they are for the pictures.. So other words I just paid $23 to process photos from a disposable camera when CVS charges 23 cents per photo... Definitely will not be using them again. For disposables go to your nearest drug store.

When I was a teen photo nerd in 1970, I hung out in photo stores and coveted the merchandise, not much of which was within my price range. The stores were great places to hang out. Spartan has that same vibe. I love it.

I went in just to browse and ended up seeing the model camera Ive had my eye on for a while. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable and helped to make sure I had all the upgraded gear I needed for my new camera. I absolutely love my Nikon d750 and cant wait to come back and shop around next time Im in town.

I am a repeat customer to Spartan Photo because they are very knowledgeable and very helpful. The customer service is some of the best I have ever seen. My first experience with the Spartan Photo was about 2 years ago; we were at Converse College with my daughter and just happened by the store. We went in with not intention of buying. But found they have a nice selection of cameras and accessories. That day we bought my daughter a camera. We gave it to her for Christmas and she loves it. I also bought a few things for my camera. Today 8-28-12 I talked with them on the phone and they have helped me pick out another great camera that will be shipped to me as I am about 2 hrs from the store.

I was looking for a gimbal that I could use with my Android phone and Nikon D3200 unfortunately to do both would require a very expensive model and at this point its just a hobby. Since it was the phone I was more interested in I went with the Feiyu VLOG. Everyone was very helpful and made me comfortable with my purchase.

After 1 too many bad batches of prints from a chain drugstore, I finally caved and went to Spartan Photo Center based on a friends recommendation. I was worried that the pricing of a professional photo lab would be more than I was willing to pay, but I was happy to find out that their pricing is actually very competitive, while offering top notch printing. I absolutely recommend for top notch printing!

I purchased a camera for my daughter for over $200 so she can take pictures of her summer experiences. It was a Nikon and the last one they had in hot pink. MY daughter was very happy and it worked great. After a week or two, the pictures started to appear blurry. I had my daughter take it to camp for a few days since I figured the camera would fix itself (after all, it was brand new). Well, it didnt and all of her memories were blurry. I took it back to the store and they immediately stated they were going to send it back to Nikon to have them take a look since it was still under warranty (I purchased the camera LESS THAN A MONTH ago!) and explained it could take up to 8 weeks to be fixed and returned. I was so heart broken because by that the summer would be over and I really wouldnt even need the camera anymore! They did offer the ability for me to rent a camera for ONLY $200 deposit and $15 a day. The attendant was kind enough to state that he could try to get the $200 deposit waived, but I declined the offer. I was already out $200 for a camera I could not even use. After thinking about it, I went there again and requested a trade, so that I could have a camera. They had the same camera in other colors, so I couldnt see why they couldnt switch me out and just keep the fixed camera once returned from Nikon. In the end, I was told that since it was past the TEN DAY RETURN time frame, there was nothing to do but have me wait. I am VERY disappointed, because I have to use my cell to take pictures. I understand rules are rules, but every good business knows lack of flexibility is a horrible thing. Will not refer my friends or family here...

I brought my camera to Spartan Photo for a cleaning - I had a stubborn mark that was appearing on all my photos, no matter how many times I tried to clean it myself.I was helped by Anne; she was very informative, willing to help and pleasant to work with. I paid for the general DSLR cleaning ($25) and a DSLR Sensor cleaning ($60). I left my camera at Spartan Photo and was told it would be ready for pickup the next day (talk about quick service).I received a phone call the next day that my camera was ready for pickup. I was also told that the technician that was cleaning my camera found the particle that was causing the mark on my images, and that he did not need to perform the Sensor cleaning - he said that I would be refunded the $60!Great service. Great experience. Honest people. I will definitely be supporting this business with my photography needs in the future.

Spartan photo is a great place to get all your photography needs. I needed a couple polarized filters and rather than buy two of them for two different size lenses, they suggested i get an adapter ring so i could use the same filter on both lenses.

I was in need of an obscure part from an old tripod and found Spartan Photo Center online. They not only had the part, but were terrific to work with and answered questions I had regarding the order. Delivery was prompt and perfect. I will return as a customer.
