The store is clean and highly organized with size labels and clean dressing rooms. Prices are a dollar or two more than other thrifts,but most of the clothes were higher quality such as some Macy brands in really good shape.Also a good store for books and housewares etc.

They have a nice store but their prices are ridiculous . Why would anyone pay more than ten dollars fot dirty old, second hand shoes? Youll find better deals if you shop Macys sales! I used to donate my stuff here but, I think I will find a new place.

My go to thrift store in the area. What I like best is they have the biggest good quality men’s clothes and shoes inventory. Aside from clothes, they carry other items too: bags, books, electrical, and furniture. On top of it all, all proceeds goes into their life changing missions.

We always try to make a stop here when in Spokane. Merchandise is first class. People are friendly.

I love to shop thrift stores and find clothing and other unique items I normally wouldn’t be able to afford in retail chains. The valley UGM has been a favorite of mine for years. I recently went to the downtown location and was shocked. I have to tell you I won’t be shipping at this UGM store anymore. The prices are ridiculous! Many of the items are HIGHER than retail stores and online stores (EBay). They have several racks titled used “designer” clothing that NO ONE on a thrift store budget can afford. All the purses and shoes are overpriced. Books and records are fairly priced. I understand they are trying to raise money for the homeless and provide vocational training for those in need. Unfortunately until they get real and lower their prices to a fair level they will continue to lose customers and money for these much needed programs.

It was a good store. I was searching for a vintage suitcase and I found what I needed. Very spacious and has a lot of things.

Its the most expensive thrift store in the area. The staff has one speed. Super Slow. They dont care if there are 10 people are in line. They chat like they have all the time in the world. And they only have 1 mirror in the whole place

I will never shop here again. The prices are so high its ridiculous. I can find the same exact NEW items at any store (including the dollar store! ) for 1/2 the price they want! I wish I wouldve taken some pictures of their items and prices but I was so appalled at what they were charging I just left😔 I loved coming here before and supporting the mission but now the are just taking advantage of peoples pockets 😒 If you want to support this foundation please only donate to the mission itself .and not to the stores that recieve free donations and then rip off the hard working public; only to think we are supporting a good cause. Please dont shop at this place. 🤥

I love going to this thrift store because #1 Its not too overcrowded with people like goodwill for example ( dont get me wrong i like goodwill and value village too) but sometimesIts less stressful and less overwhelming when theres fewer people and i enjoy shopping in peace. My favorite section is beauty & bath near the front register, secondly shoes, third clothing, four home goods. Oh and you can earn points too, and staff is nice aswell.

Helpful staff and great deals throughout the store. Honestly what else could you ask for in a thrift shop. I scored an antique soup ladle for $2 and got a handmade Japanese ikebana pot for 50 cents. Keep up the great work UGM.

The best place in town for furniture. Good selection of media and clothing as well. Surely worth a stop.

Shop at value village they dont enforce mask wearing, told the lady I was exempt she then said I could wear a face shield said well I dont wear the face shield also because of my religious freedoms that are my God given rights through the constitution, she said then Im going to have to ask you to leave and discriminated against my rights and kicked me out of the store.Dont support fake christian businesses. Value village has not once harassed me or made me feel unwelcome or has discriminated against my beliefs and my rights as an american.To comment on the person under my comment. Its not full of people because the staff are rude and discriminate who in their right mind would support a business like that Lol people crowd places that are welcoming and not make them feel unsafe.

The manager in the valley is rude and unprofessional. I tried to buy a basket and she refused to sell it even though it did not have a not for sale sign on it. She came up to the counter and took it away from me. When I asked for the owners phone number she brought some guys to the front who were also rude. She crumpled the paper up with the owners name and email address on it and threw it away, right in front of me. Then I was told to leave and not come back. I had to reach out to another store to let them know what happened. Another lovely lady in the line owned a store across the street and invited me there to get baskets from her. I am sorry they thought I was stuck up by how I talked, but that is how I talk.The store should be ashamed of themselves. These items are donated. NOT FOR YOU TO KEEP. Sell the items to people who are trying to buy them so you can help the people you so desperately say you are trying to help.Beware of this store.

UGM Thrift Store just reopened after the quarantine, with a brand new register stand that opened up even more space. Well organized, and most of it is good/excellent quality at reasonable thrift prices. Excellent place to find furniture in great condition, lots of pots/pans/dishware/kitchen items and utensils, decent electronics. I havent shopped the clothes. The craft section is greatly reduced after they rearranged.

I am so thankful for UGM Thrift store. They allowed my daughter to try to do her community service there. Even though she didn’t follow Work site directions and rules they offered her a second chance. UGM is very tolerant and does a wonderful job at caring for others even those who don’t know how to care for themselves. Thank you.

Honstly use to love this store now I hate it here they have there cups here for 3 dollar thats a ripe off they have nail polish that is used for a dollar thats gross

This store is very clean and set up with sanitizer amd masking policies. All merchandise is well displayes and spaced. The staffis very friendly, and shopping for a good cause is great too!

Went there to grab a blanket. They moved things around and cleaned it up... The customer service was nice, especially with whats going on in the world. Pleasant experience. I would go back ands recommend..

It is 1/21/2021 just left UGM to take a client shopping for a chair. I have medical exemption from wearing a mask/face shield and was refused service because of a mandate that discriminates against a disability. I gladly told the young lady I would keep my social distance, like the mandate says in times of not using a mask, but it wasn’t enough. I needed to be treated like a criminal and leave. A CHRISTIAN establishment. They are too weak to stand up for what is right, apparently.

And I think that it is hilarious that the radio host/preacher that was talking over the stores radio was saying that other religions were wrong and preaching about sin. Of all of the thrift stores located in downtown Spokane, Washington this is one of the best of these thrift stores. One of the best features is the large floor space, efficiently organized merchandise, and high quality of goods. The prices are also reasonable, with many different opportunities to save some money.

It was not good. They told us that they would take old national geographic magazines. Not true! And thy are very picky about what they want. We will never donate again to them.

The Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store, is a great place to find quality items at prices anyone can afford. The store is well organized and pleasant to walk around in. The Staff there is great, and is always willing to strike up a conversation and help you find what you are looking for. Plus what even great there is that ever purchase made there go towards funding the Union Gospel Mission Shelters and Recovery Program. I would recommend anyone shop here. You might just be surprise what you will find...

Ive been to alot of thrift stores in the area and this is by far one of the best.the prices are decent withthrift being key to a great deal! Some of the otherthrift stores values in town make you wonder why they call themselves such by the too highly priced used goods.UGM thrift store offers quality used and sometimes new goods of all sorts that change constantly.but most of all....shopping here lets you contribute to the HOMELESS men and women with children that UGM provides services for.Your charity for a great cause is a win win deal! I just wish Id have discovered UGM Thrift Store sooner!

I just want to say that assistant manager Kristen is awesome! I came in to the store this week not expecting to purchase a dining room table. I asked her if I could put it on hold for couple days. She agreed without hesitation. When I find out I was going to be a homeowner yesterday. I came back to the store and paid for the table. She wasnt in, but Zachariah took care of me and was very pleasant and helped with the purchase . He advised I call Kristen to discuss if I could store the table there until I could move into my new house. I called her this morning and once again she was without hesitation said Yes and congratulated me on the purchase of my home. We need more people like Kristen and Zachariah who put the customer first!!!!

My 2nd most favorite. Prices are starting to go up but you can still find a good deal. When you get there dont forget to find out what color tag is 50% off. If your looking for furniture like couches, recliners, dinning room set, end tables bed frames (you get my point) this is the place to go. Prices are well below what other thrift stores in town charge.

I have to say, I was disappointed in their pricing. They were selling things from the dollar store for $2.99....For example: The baby shampoo and lotion. I also found that their clothing was pretty expensive as well. Im giving 2 stars however because the store was clean and well organized.

It didnt have that much merchandise and what they do have is way over priced.

I used to shop here all the time. I went in today and their prices are pretty high for a thrift store. $50 for a mason jar....granted it’s vintage but hello this is a thrift store....An old Calvin Klein beat up purse for $30? I don’t know just seems over priced. But I did find an air popper for $6 bucks. So it seems you can find some good deals if the item you’re looking for is unpopular.

I was disdapointed at the prices. It is definitely targeted for the ecclectic thrift store shopper. It is not for the low income or thrifty shopper. The quality is definitely not worth the price.

If you have things to donate, donate them directly to the shelter so the homeless will benefit. Rich is a horrible human being who hates the homeless. Please listen! The people who know the truth of these statements do not have the voice required to make a change. GET THE WORD OUT!!

One of the best organized thrift stores in town. 4 yrs later: it has sadly deteriorated, i.e., prices arent very reasonable anymore, inventory is half what it used to be(If you are looking for anything other than womens clothing you may want to try another thrift store). However the staff is as friendly as before.

Used to be a favorite stop while out thrift store shopping but wont be going anymore. The last 2-3 times I noticed prices getting higher and higher. Today was the final straw I was shocked and somewhat outraged at the prices they had on things. Items I know the dollar store has and they have $2 on them. Everything now ends in a $.00. Its ridiculously high on items donated and no longer worth my time going in.

The prices are high saw a dollar store candle for 4$ . Make sure the DVDs are in the case before you buy. Check and see if its cheaper new.

This place looks bad from the outside but they are much better than most other thrift stores on the inside. This place will make feel like youre Aladdin! And you found that magical lamp and it was worth all the time you thought you wasted

UGM is a disapointment. I have so many words and feelings of hatred towards this place only going there over such little time. Just over three months theyve gone from moderate selection and okay prices to complete overstock and upcharge on everything. This place has ruined the value and purity of thrift shopping. The cost for an average-condition item here is no longer a good deal it is robbing your pocket for the retail price. Why am I going to a thrift store that does not value its customers? For me, wall decor and art are a main part of my thrifting. Theyve changed their pricing on their decor from $5-10 to now $15-35!!! I know not every single piece of decor in that store holds a $30 value. It is disgusting and sad to see a moderately good selection go to absolute garbage costs within a couple of months. I go to multiple thrift stores every weekend and this one will NO LONGER be on my list to go to. I hope anyone working at UGM sees how they have changed and sees how much they have disappointed a loyal customer. My business with this place is no more.

Although some of the items inside were very nice, prices are way too high for any thrifty shoper to shop at this store. Was followed continuously thru the store and even almost tripped by the broom of storeworker. Probably wont shop here again.
