Nice old school American diner. All your classic breakfast dishes. Great place for a cup of coffee and conversation. Has an mid century Americana devouring vibe including the namesake of soda fountains.
The food was fine, about what youd expect. But the mousy guy working the counter wore his mask on his chin the entire time we were there. Took breaks, came back, still only over the chin. It was not an accident. If he refuses to comply with mask mandates for the health and safety of others I wonder where else he decides to draw his own line.I tend to believe that ppl who refused to where a mask probably also refuse to wash their hands after going to the bathroom. The rest of the staff had their make on the whole time. This guy works front and center and single handedly gives the place a bad rep.

Really cool building and location but Cheap ingredients.. Had the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup.. The bread was franz cheapest thin bread and some dollar store cheese.. The soup bwas canned.. This place could be good if the owners cared about repeat business and not a ine time disappointment.
Love this Cafe. We love to support our local eatery. A great place to chat and share. We visit on Saturdays unless when we go out of town. The oldest in the neighborhood.

Waitress was great. She was new so a few mistakes. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, and it looked like a small pre-made frozen patty that is on a convenience store sandwich. My wife ordered the chicken breast, it was rubbery and almost no flavor. There was no sauce or gravy for it or the mashed potatoes. We normally love our meals from here, and will try coming back in a few weeks to see if it gets back to the food we loved.
Best Burgers ever. Love this is a great memory from my childhood in 1972-1974 I would go buy a burger with my birthday money. Wow Bennie and Joon was filmed her. Awesome 😎

Consistent quality with an old school charm. Plentiful 1950 size servings that make my mouth water thinking of them. You wont go home hungry from a meal at this grill style cafe. If you miss mommas cooking and need a dose of comfort food. Cmon down and feel welcomed to a cafe that never disappoints.
The food is excellent. Wonderful biscuits with gravy. I also had a side of bacon with just the right combination of crispness (leaving just a slight chewy texture).
Prompt wait staff. Awesome old time diner 1940s. Good food. Love to sit at the counter and watch the cooks work their magic. We are going back.

A very small old fashion diner. Super friendly people, Benny and Joon photos in our booth. Awesome breakfast menu, good prices and also enjoyed malted shakes. Glad we made it there to eat. Check their hours before you go, they dont seem to be open everyday.

Chosen by friends who live in the area, saying it is a cute little retro place with great food...they were oh so right! The service was fabulous, the food was very tasty and filling, and decor and atmosphere were welcoming and picturesque.
This place has always been a favorite. Even though I no longer live in the city, whenever I visit, its at the top of my list of places to eat at. It also helps that Benny and Joon is one of my favorite movies ever so it adds even more charm to the ever charming location. If you havent stopped by yet, youll definitely want to!

Truly a one star experience but I’ll be giving two stars because I’ve been a weekly customer for years. My family and I were just sat a a table for 25mins without receiving any accommodation at our table apart from waters that arrived immediately ( no complaints there). We sat and watched several groups of people get their orders, coffee/ drinks and be checked up on multiple times. One waitress walked passed us 10-15 times and never so much as looked up in our direction as to give us an opportunity to inform her that we hadn’t been helped. After waiting 25mins we decided that out toddler needed to eat and started packing up to go elsewhere. We took our time, packing up her things, cleaning up the table and grabbing our stroller. None of the employees seemed to notice our early departure, not even a “have a nice day at the door.” We just walked out without being served. The owner is great, the cooks are friendly and the food is fantastic. But the service has gone horribly down hill since the start of the pandemic. Im truly disappointed to have this experience at my neighborhood spot that I would like to see thrive.

I wouldnt know, I tried to visit to grab some lunch, the sign in the window said open, when I opened the front door, a lady yelled at me that they were closed in a very rude manner. I will never go back. The Milk Bottle place next door is good and friendly.

We ordered two burgers and the kids nuggets for pickup and everything was delicious! Our meals were cooked to order and still hot by the time we got home to eat them. Everyone was super friendly, we will definitely be ordering from Fergusons again!
First visit. Ordered my favorite breakfast meal, chicken fried steak. All components were amazing. Consistency of the gravy and meat was perfect, hashbrowns are hearty and full of flavor. Serving size is HUGE for the price. Will be back. Highly recommend.
We had hamburgers and fries surprise for way overcooked very crunchy my friend had fish and chips and her fish was hard on the inside we shared some good onion rings and a milkshake pretty underwhelmed not that clean the food was okay

What a fun place to go. Every worker we saw, was enjoying their job so it must be a fun place to work. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We merely mentioned to our waitress we were going to share two dishes and when they arrived at our table, they were already split for us. Quite good service! Even though it was crowded, the noise level was acceptable. The hamburgers are excellent! Not fancy, just a regular old hamburger with an amazing flavor.

Cute place. Had high hopes as this place came recommended. Horrible service and iffy food. Took 10 minutes before she came by so I could ask to refill the waters (3 out of 4 were empty). They mixed all the sides and knowingly still seved it to the table that way, stating they mixed up the sides. Then she stood there and watched as I struggled to move sandwiches and sides to the right plate. She literally stood there and watched! The request for no pickles somehow translated to pickles on the side. The request for a side of fries was completely dismissed. Thankfully the serving of fries on the plate was generous.The food was ok. The sausage was about half the size of the bread.I would not recommend.

Great food, For ourselves it brings us back in time. As you sit at the sidewalk view looking out the window looking down the street. You can feel how it use to be. What we are missing today. As you eat the wonder good meal sipping on a cup of coffee. Only if everyone could be the people we once were. Anyway if you have not been here please go. And leave your phones in your car. Talk to how ever came with you. And yes I did say talk. Enjoy.........

Nice spot with ample food in breakfast for sure. Pancakes were good but the hash browns had been on the grill for a while. My friend liked the burger (1/4 or 1/2 lb) and salad. Staff was great.

We came to Fergusons after watching Benny & Joon. Yeah, we were those obnoxious groupies. But what we were met with was actual, genuine customer service from the staff. The food was great, prices are unbeatable too. We since have come back multiple times, and they recognize us and even said this last time your booth is open, meaning the booth we try and lean towards each time we are in. Fergusons will show you what actual customer service looks like, with their staff that genuinely cares. Their great food is the icing on the cake!
Very yummy but this also means it can be very busy.The only thing I didnt like was their French dip. Everything else is very good so far.
