We brought our own vessel and we rented a tandem, they have affordable prices. Staff is nice, the stores has a variety of articles, we bought a dry bag to keep our stuff safe, was large and we found a good price. The only negative comments is about when we launched our tandem, was very uncomfortable, and to be honest I don’t recommend to launch from here, next time I will launch from Rogers Park, now having said that I will definitely rent kayak from this place again.
Great experience with the family, wonderful time on the water until the motor wouldnt start in the boat we rented. Turned off several times & when I explained this to the gentleman at the rental shop he said it looked like the fuel line wasnt attached correctly. Other than this we had an amazing time. Got to see Manatees and several other wildlife animals. Water was amazing. A bit crowded on the water but to be expected this time of year. Definitely doing this again soon. We recommend this for anyone seeking an amazing experience.

Rented a canoe. Nice staff got us setup and even made extra room for us to park onsite. Good place to launch in the river not too far upstream to hospital hole or the swim park. An overall cool experience.
The place is beautiful! The water was a little murky when we went, but that was due to the recent storms! But we did get to see a few manatees which was awesome! Its definitely a work out though! So be prepared to be sore the next morning!
Best to go on a weekday so theres less people. We saw 6 manatees 3 separate times around mile 1 to 2 from Rogers Park headed upstream. 2 were babies but were 4 or 5 feet long, momma was closer to 7 or 8 feet. Watch the edges where its deep, they like hanging out on the sides when theyre not moving around. Definitely worth renting a boat if you dont want to paddle at the marina. Can pull the boat up to the Upper Deck restaurant dock on the way out if you arrive hungry. $70 for 4 people, 4 hours rental time.

The option for renting a small motorboat allowed me to take my elderly parents on a really relaxing ride up the spring fed river. The boat was plenty big for 4 and handles well through the narrow passages. Highly recommend getting there early to hear the crowds and have a bit more peace and quiet. Youll see plenty of birds and fish; and possibly some manatees.

I loved this place the rental fee is very very affordabl 100 bucks for a full day(8 hrs) or 70 for half day (4hrs) thats for the little jon boat i rented with a motor but they have bigger and smaller boats. You drive yourself and travel thur different canals and waterways but u can go to the gulf of mexico and its kool. But we caught alot of differnt fish even saw manatees and stingrays

Would be 5 star if it was based off of the water and experience on the water itself! Beautiful place! Only negative part was the young man who “explained” the boat. He mumbled the whole time & even though I told him it was our first time he was just very “I hate my job” kind of attitude. Didn’t really hear a word he said, standing right next to him.

The boats are a little overpriced (85$ for 4 hours) but it was a fun way to get the whole family up the river with our gear and cooler. The boats are in decent shape and the guys at the shop are helpful.They don’t take reservations so get there early if you want one on the weekend.
We came with no reservation and they had multiple options. The canoe was super clean and service was fast. All their boats with motors looked in perfect condition.
Drove 2hours to get there and 2 hours back. . Got there at 7:30 they open at 8. Waited in line. Paid for 2 boats. Then when I go to the dock they say they only have one other one was rented and we needed 2. All they could say was sorry for the error/mistake for not keeping up with the boats. That nothing could be done. They said Either refund us or to get kayaks. Waste of time/trip.
Went there over the holiday weekend to get a boat and go up the river. It had been about 15-20 years since I went up there. Same great service, easy to do business with and absolutely love the river I grew up on. There are many more kayaks than years ago which makes the bends in the river a little more challenging. All the cool rope swings that were there have been taken down which was a bummer. But the water and manatees are always great.

I rented a small boat with a 6hp motor for four hours and had a wonderful time on the river. The marina staff were professional and very helpful. A wonderful experience and I will return another day!
I live in tampa and me and some family called to reserve a couple kayaks unfortunately they told us they only do walkins and promised that we would get boats if we arrived at 7:30am so we went on a sunday and it was packed with people we arrived at 7:30am after driving a whole hour from tampa and they told us there are too many people and we cant get any kayaks

Prices are fair a Tower rentals or nice keep in mind you paddle Upstream to start which makes the return trip easy get there early before they open or you will not get a kayak on the weekends

These guys are awsome the boats pull cord to the engine snapped but we were able to have a very nice gentleman tow me and my girlfriend back to the marina and the guy working the desk gave me a full refund no questions asked I will definitely return the guys are really down to earth genuine people we still had a nice day on the water and anyday on the water is a good day if the guys from the marina see this I thank you so much and you will have more business from me in the future!!!
Great way to spend either a full or half day ... The river was gorgeous! A lot of kayaks on the river so you need to know how to maneuver a small engine boat.

Beautiful place water is crystal clear. rentals provide 4 a fee. from kayaks to boats . manatees roam in the water freely. Great way to relax. you can also get of the boats on the trail and enjoy the water or five from trees

Drove 2 hours to rent a boat for a friends birthday, only to be told they are not renting anymore due to more rain coming (1:00pm). Then the forecast (hourly) shows the weather clearing up for the rest of the day after 1pm. When I told this to the guy at the counter he replied were not going to stay here and have to clean one boat. So why are you open? Such great business and work ethic! Its fresh water so you dont need to flush it, what does he have to do spray down the inside when were done!? Wow lazy people seize to amaze me. There was no lightning. Were in Florida it rains every day for a couple hours. Absolutely redicules.. dont waste a drive to have a slight chance to rent a boat here....

Like I said very clean boats but very old boats too an they should really think about lowering the price on the rentals to make it affordable for families to do this more often again!!we use to love this place🤔😥

How convenient! Rented a motorized john boat, took 6 people down/up the river for 4 hours only 100 bucks...if you have family down from somewhere else, you have to do this with them.
