Publix is great and all but the design of the checkouts and lack of employees in that area create an unnecessary bottleneck during checkout. Its been this way forever so Im guessing thats how it will always be.

I ordered a birthday cake nearly one month in advance, via the Publix website. When I called to check the order the staff were nice enough but definitely left room for improvement.Fast forward to pick up day - the cake looked hideous. Im not sure if they assigned the new person to this cake but the balloons looked like colorful piles of poo, the balloon strings looked like worms, the border looked like it was slung on from 5ft across the room, and the list goes on.I had to write a note on the box telling the 50 guests that I hoped the cake tastes great, but blame Publix for the hideous appearance. $80 for a cake should buy a more visually appealing dessert.

From the time I walked through the door until I left the store... I was greeted by Bakery, Deli, meat dept and checkout. Everyone extremely friendly and helpful... Has to be one of the cleanest stores Ive been in and nice to see employees wearing masks during this time. Thanks Publix 👍

Great people. Greeted in the parking lot and asked more than once in the store if I needed help finding something. I guess it was obvious I was from out of town. The chicken in the deli was hot and ready when promised.

Walked and could not find an item and the store assistant asked someone and they knew exactly where it was. Great Customer service

Best grocery store ever! It was super clean and well stocked. Employees were all friendly and helpful, some even going above and beyond to help us. The cakes were better than you might find at a specialty bakery and our guests loved them! The Publix brand tea is also really good! Sure wish Publix would come to Memphis!

Bakery gave me a cake decorated incorrectly. It was supposed to have green trim with a blue border. I ordered the cake online for pickup at 5 pm for a birthday at 7 pm that same night. I called and told them about the mistake and she said they can “fix” it. How? Scrape off the green that’s already on it? She even said their cake decorator wasn’t even there so someone who doesn’t even know how to do decorating would be “fixing” it? I knew I would end up with a half-a** looking cake so there was no point in them “fixing” it. This was for my 2 boys birthdays whose favorite colors are green and blue. Now I get a cake that looks like it was made for just one of them. Whoever works there needs to learn how to read and follow instructions that were clearly written down. I won’t use Publix for a bakery anymore. I’ll go to Walmart or Kroger

Honestly, I dont shop at Publix regularly - even though its closer to my house. I usually drive a couple extra blocks to go to Kroger instead (for the gas rewards and I like their shopping app). But every time I run into Publix just to grab something quick, I notice these things: super friendly baggers, nice and quick cashiers, clean store (albeit smallish store), brightly lit inside, smiles everywhere, relatively few shoppers (compared to Kroger).

Loved it! Plus I had some time to browse in the bakery! Very nice person to help me.

I was trying to find a ham for a dinner. Daniel in the deli section went above and beyond to help me. Even though the store was closing, Daniel took the time to slice 2 full hams!

A great place to buy groceries. Very well ran. Tops in management. The employees do a great job stocking shelves. All of the departments stand out.

Staff are always friendly and store interior is clean and maintained well. The bakery makes some amazing desserts. We love getting our produce and fresh fish here. The varied selection of imports are especially appreciated. We love stocking up on the British goods (marmite, squash, digestives, rice pudding, etc.).*COVID-19 Update: Store cleanliness is even more top notch. Disinfecting occurs between customers and sanitizer is made available at checkout. Masks are worn by staff.

Searched all across Columbia & Spring Hill for Green Plantains to make a special Puerto Rican birthday dish for the Mrs., but everyones offerings were over-ripe & pathetic. I thought the day was lost until I decided to check Publix & with the help of their friendly employees, I was able to pick out the nicest Plantains this side of the island. Yall really saved the day! 🙌

The bakery department needs an attitude adjustment! the wait time is ridiculous they wont be on the phone or helping a customer and they still will look at you waving them down but wont come help you unless you yell for them which isnt right! wish I found the store manager that second bc this happens every single time I come in there for instacart and refuse to take orders now if I see a bakery item in the queue. I finally got help last time to see if they had a half a dozen box of a specific donut and they just huffed at me saying NO ALL OUT and walked away from me as Im staring at the case full of the donuts with the donuts I asked for in singles so i had to get their attention again all in the matter of 5 seconds it wasnt like i walked away, they walked away from me!? i was fumung at this point and asked if they could just put 6 of the case donuts in a box for me and they looked confused and realized oh yeah we can do that! like glad I could do their job😒

Visiting from CT and was so impressed with what an outstanding supermarket Publix is. I really feel our state is lacking on well run, organized and friendly grocers such as this. It was a joy to shop here.

Today, I was working my first time Instacart order at the Publix in Spring Hill. I was kind of lost and didn’t scan my orders correctly so I was holding up the line. I just want to write a review about this store. I am an instacart employee and today was my first day in this Publix. I love the cleanliness of the store how nicely laid out it is. The attitude of the employees magnificent. But I do want to take the time to brag on one of the managers Ms. Kim. I was having trouble finding some of the items on my app for instacart and Ms.Kim politely came over with with no hesitation because I didnt even know that she was paying attention to me being confused. I can hear the smile in her voice and she helped me so much with what I was looking for what I was looking for and she was able to find it even the ones that were out of stock. This is one of the best customer experiences that Ive ever had in any grocery store. Ms. Kim thank you for being so awesome and caring for the lost store shoppers 😎😁🌞😏.

I have lived in SH and shopped at this Publics for 15 yrs. However when you cannot the find basic things you shop for in the brands you ant it is time to change supermarkets. Since they built Aldis, Kroger and Wal-Mart in the same vicinity this Publics have gone down hill. They carry mostly their brands now because they are cheaper. The Management in this store should be REPLACED. Many of our friends feel the same way. The Public on Goose Creek Exit off I65 is 150% better to shop.

The bakery totally ruined my cupcakes for my gender reveal! It looked nothing close to the picture online,she left off wording which I have the receipt of what it was suppose to say,I also didnt get the 29 cupcakes I paid for! I havent been able to file a true complaint due to att service being down but I will be contacting corporate! They tried to offer me half off! No my order wasnt half way ruined it was ALL the way ruined and on the day of my gender reveal! It was way too late to do anything about it!! Never again!

I ordered a cake for a birthday party online and chose vanilla cake. When we cut it open it was vanilla and chocolate layered. I called to let them know it was wrong and was given the run around. The girl I talked to acted like I was lying. She finally said they could remake it for the next day if I wanted to bring what was left of it back. When you pay that much for a cake it should be right and when you order it for a party, remaking it the next day doesn’t help. They refused to refund my money or give me a store credit. Last cake I order from Publix.
