Great meat from the butcher! Havent tried anything that we havent liked.Bought strawberries and they arent marked with a price and found out they were $15. Outrageous price for that. Wont buy produce there again but will definitely be back for the meat!!

I was searching for a 5 lb brisket found it here! Great service Josh the butcher had it ready for me. Was able to get most of the ingredients for my memorial day meal. Very clean, well stocked and organized. I also stopped by the BBQ Hut for an amazing Pull Pork sandwhich, the bbq sauce so delicious.

We really appreciate having this unique grocery store in our neighborhood. Grocery brands are always the best, butchers counter options always a welcome treat .

This meat market has the best fresh meat. Plus, theyve improved the place over the past 10 years by newer flooring and paint and have more items on the shelves and more freezer items. Very friendly clerks and butchers.

Only 4 stars because the prices are high on most things - a product of the state of California crushing small businesses, not their fault. Beer is normal price...lots of competition. Best selection of BBQ supplies in the area. Friendly people. Highly recommend.

Local butcher and grocery store. Lot of nice cuts of meat and prepared meals. Nice selection of local craft beers. Pricey. They have a BBQ shack too. I ordered the brisket tacos. They were very salty. I could not finish them. The BBQ sauce is good. But I was not a fan of the over salted bbq.

Gourmet store in the Valley!This place has been here for years. It has the best butcher counter for miles. The store shelves are stocked with run of the mill groceries but they also have plenty of yummy treasures. Their wine collection is great. There is also a barbecue stand out front. This was family owed up until a couple years ago we were afraid the new owners would change it into a quick stop market stocked with junk but they didnt. They have only improved it.

After living in Hawaii for the last 3 years when I moved back to San Diego I was looking for Poke that taste just as good as the Hawaiian version. Not one place lived up to the hype until Valley Farm Market walked into my life ..lol...The poke is the absolute best in all of SD...hands down...no argument...I know what real poke is supposed to taste like and VFM achieved the taste profile spot on!

Ive been goin there for 39 yrs since I ways 9.we grew up on valley farms .I just got say they have awesome service and fantastic meats really meat and fish excellent quality and personnel..

They have a little bit of everything, the carne asada in the meat department is delicious and they have a phenomenal selection of MCT Oils. They also sell the Yeti coolers and the staff is friendly.

Go to iowa meats. Way better service. They cut what you want. Valley told me they couldnt cut me a half rack of baby back ribs. Never had a problem at Iowa. Will never go back to valley s#it farms

This is a fun, high quality, neighborhood gourmet market. It has been here since 1956, but a few years ago upped its game 100%! There’s a fresh meat counter across the back of the entire store and wonderful innovative products throughout. The produce is first rate. I can’t believe my good luck that is right here in La Mesa. One stand out? Jeni’s ice cream all the way from Columbus, Ohio. It’s a revelation!

They have an awesome meat/seafood department. They stock a multitude of ingredients and the staff has always been friendly.

First time there, pretty cool place. Picked up some thick cut bacon, sausage, and Julian apple pie.

Really diverse selection of in-season produce and fresh butcher cuts. The alcohol selection is also top notch with one of the best hard kombucha selections Ive seen locally. All the products they carry are very well curated, so I love grabbing something new every time I go. Havent been disappointed yet!

Love this store. Buying meat here for what seems like 40 years. However, unless policy changes, I will not shop here anymore. I do not feel safe. Two days ago, employee who checked me out did not have her mask covering her nose. Today, two employees did not cover their noses with their masks. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that particles come out of your nose, too! If we wear a mask to keep your employees safe, they should reciprocate!!!!!!!!!

No matter where you live in San Diego, this should be your only butcher period.Whatever you cook your meat in they got you covered there too.Absolutely amazing.Plan ahead, it can be very busy during a holiday.It is truly my only market for a really good cut.

Best beer selection and an even better meat market. The imperial carny asada is one of the best in town, award winner. They also have a wonderful selection of hard to find items, like 00 flour for pizza dough.

Great meat department! I think everyones favorite is the carne asada, which is great! However, if you are on a budget get the pollo asada! Super good! Ive probably had it once every month for the past year! Pivoting a bit, we recently got their scallops ($40/lbs). A bit expensive for me, but definitely worth it for a special occasion. 1 lbs was enough (maybe too much) for 2 people. Their scallops are super fresh and have a sweet, buttery taste which is amazing! We cooked them two ways 1. Bacon Wrapped 2. Creamy Garlic (photos for proof)

Small local market, they actually have a lot so don’t be turned away for their size. The butcher shop is always busy but they do carry a wide variety of cuts. The meat is good quality so the prices are pretty high.They also have an isle full of different types of beers especially IPA’s from all over. They do not only sell local brews which is pretty cool. This is the only reason I return to this place.Parking is a nightmare.

Not a good place to go if you have a request for the butcher. I asked a simple question they said no I turned my back and they started mocking me for my request.

This is a cute little market down in casa de Oro. Can we ran into it by accident because we are getting gas. What I loved about it it was clean organized and it had Yeti for sale.

The meat selection here is the absolute best! Ribeye steak, grilled ahi tuna is amazing! And lastly the tuna poke is good. The salmon steaks are amazing as well.

This store has a employee name Liz who is a Thief I rented a room from her for$1400.00 and she never gave me the key she wont answer my calls she totally avoids me and I bet her boss would like to know how she gives groceries away to her friends a mutual friend went in there and got $325.00 worth of food for $12.67 thanks to Liz .Smell smoke you have just been burnt. You may have got my money but now the world knows what a horrible and dishonest person you are,you are not trust worthey.

The best upscale market out here in East County. Beautiful meats, fresh seafood, house made dips and awesome customer service. Their carne asada is legendary out here.

I recently moved here and typed in “meat market” on google and this place came up. It did not disappoint! I love this place! Awesome meat selection! Also, try their twice baked potatoes (if they aren’t sold out)! The people are awesome and friendly that work there.

The butcher is excellent although there is an ongoing shortage of beef bones. The selection of gourmet items has really expanded and the vegetable section is really well stocked. All staff persons are helpful except one check our clerk who has been there since the dawn of time. She is unfriendly and unhelpful and cold.

Store is over 60 years old but hides a secret! Go to the back and you will see a large staff of butchers and some of the best quality meats at the best prices in town!! USDA Prime Top Sirloin $8.99 a pound!! The marinated Imperial Valley Carne Asada blows away any Mexican grocery store!!

I have loved this store because of its selection of meats and fish. But yesterday will be the last time I patronize this business because I saw more than a handful of employees wearing masks that were pulled down to not cover their nose. Irresponsible and reckless!!
