Love this place! Ive been coming here since I was a kid (early 80s). It changes all the time (new stuff) so you never know what youll find. They have staff on the floor just waiting to help you. They will open cabinets, take stuff up front for you, help you find something specific ... their help is endless! Everything is so neat and clean there, too.My husband and son love video games and they have tons of used ones. Tons. And I found a great (what I believe to be) handmade mixing bowl. Its huge and very heavy and I love it!It is wheelchair and walker friendly, but not when it comes to some of the individual booths. Some of the booths were packed of stuff that you could only walk through. But you can see most anything from the isle. Best if you can go with someone that can walk and maybe get things for you to see up close.

The Antique Gallery in Spring is a hidden jewel for antique lovers!! It is easily accessible off I-45N, less than half a mile down 2920, tucked off a side street to your right. Just follow the signs. It is a HUGE warehouse full of antiques and other wonderful items guaranteed to catch the attention of both young and old. So, bring a snack and something to drink. A person can easily spend the whole day there. The atmosphere is calm and cool, playing gentle background music that will have you singing along before before you realize you are singing out loud, very helpful personnel, and a place where you can sit down to relax and eat your lunch. There are several sale events during the year, primarily around any government holiday, which can be checked on the Antique Gallerys website. There are also several other special events throughout the year including an appraisal day, where for $5 an item, you can get a verbal appraisal and information about that valuable you have always wondered about. At the time of this posting, there is no place to buy food inside the gallery, but there are many different restaurants close by in the area. Old Town Spring is located on the same street on the opposite side of I-45. There you will find many different places to shop, eat and drink, entertain, and learn about the history of Spring, Texas. The Antique Gallery in Spring is definitely a 5 star find, so make it your first stop when you come to visit us in Spring!

You can even sit and eat a meal here which is awesome when you have kids. Or you can try the vending machines if you just need something quick to gain your strength and keep browsing because this place is big!

My husband and I had such an amazing time there today! We only had about 2-3 hours to kill and I would say we explored less than 1/4 of the space. Every staff member we encounter was so friendly and helpful. I had no idea what I was looking for but I ended up leaving with a gorgeous 67 piece vintage dinnerware set and I couldnt be happier with it. The staff took their time to carefully wrap every individual piece for us. We cant wait to go back!

Thank you SARA for the warm welcome upon entry and the helpful service for my specific item. FRED on the other hand walked by us about four times and when we were leaving decided to ask if we needed help with anything. The other floor staff greeted us thou. This location is huge there just wasn’t enough time to go through it all. Some really awesome vintage pieces and some soon to be collectibles along with some miscellaneous/junk type items. I was expecting more vintage type items and better floor service when items were locked and prices weren’t shown so I gave it four stars. I did purchase an item and I would recommend if they hold your item for you that you take a picture of the item with the price tag. So you won’t get a switch around on the price when you go to check out. Also vendor ANDREA located at L3 was very friendly and greeted us when we walked by her twice she hs some African pieces and a beautiful “Supper Table” piece that’s worth getting. I already have that piece from my grandmother so I didn’t get it.

I had such a wonderful shopping experience. You could find anything here. From knick knacks to airplane wings, they will have it here. Be sure to wear your walking shoes as this place is huge! I spent a while there and probably only saw a fourth of the place. Also has nice and clean restrooms and an area to buy food and sit down and eat. If you need it, they probably have it and can help you find it in the store. Great staff is kindly on point to help you. Will return.

As a Jewish individual, I do not appreciate a dozen security guards patrolling and eyeing me like they wanted to put me on a train car and send me to Auschwitz.Haggling is difficult and there are red tag items that are non-negotiable and, even if it IS a negotiable item, they may give you the sellers information if they have it. If they dont, youre stuck hunting at the booth. If you find it they expect an elaborate game of phone tag just to save a few dollars.

Severely overpriced items and youre discouraged from haggling. Most antique stores have a means to contact a booth owner to inquire about discounts or bundling, especially on the more expensive items. Here they really dont seem to care if you buy anything or not. The general attitude is pay full price or walk. Ive been here multiple times to browse, but this time will be the last. Not because of their policy on price either. It was how creepy the employees were that did it. I was made to feel very uncomfortable shopping here with employees walking past about every 30 seconds like vultures. Trying to browse was unpleasant when employees are turning and giving you the evil eye, treating every customer like a potential shoplifter. It didnt used to be like this. Ive been here many times and never have they had employees patrolling the halls like prison guards. None of the other local antique stores engage in this sort of behavior. It seemed like overkill having about a dozen people patrolling the store, especially when the checkout counter had a massive waiting line and seemed very understaffed.

T
Review №22

Total disappointment. Less than half of the items could be considered “antique”. A mix of new and old displayed as if in an artist or craft studio. No finds or surprises to be found most items can be found elsewhere and at better value. It’s almost as if they bring there “nobody wants” item here to die. Best thing to look at was the cute reception.

Went during the day to see about purchasing a china cabinet that we saw earlier. The store is extremely cluttered with no rhyme or reason apparent. Each seller has their own section it seems but other than physically going to each section there is no directory that outlines what is where. Expect to spend a lot of time looking if you have specifics in mind. The sellers for the most part are not there and unless you plan on paying the price for the used item, haggling is a chore as you would have to try to contact the seller who would then authorize the price to the staff. Unfortunately the staff doesnt seem to enthusiastic to assist with that. Sending you off to search for the sellers contact info in their section that may or not be there. Trying to get their attention when it wasnt involved having to almost chase them down to ask for a solution. This process took entirely too much effort and seems like they arent too concerned in doing business.

We have shopped here many times in the past. We were on that side of town the other day and wanted to do some shopping, however we had our dogs with us. They are both certified therapy dogs and we take them anywhere dogs are welcome, however we ALWAYS ask the establishment prior to just walking in with them, and this instance was no different. The gentleman at the counter told my wife yes they were welcome as long as they were leashed. We werent in the store a minute and another gentleman came rushing to us telling us we needed to leave and that dogs were not welcome there, making us look like those people who just take their dogs wherever they like with no regards to the business, and that is not us !As we said, that was our last time there ! There are many antique store in and around Houston that welcome pets, so well stick to giving them our business !

I dont find something every time I go but when I do find something it is truly spectacular. And even when I dont find something the nostalgic window shopping is a mood booster. Most recently I bought a charming garden arch. The prices are good, and I have to control myself from going more than a few times a year so that I dont spend more than I should.

Review №64

I used to LOVE this place, and it IS worth visiting,But in recent years they have really lowered the bar for their dealers, so there aren’t many ACTUAL antiques anymore. There’s LOTS of garage sale items, used home decor, and many reproduction antique pieces (the majority of the ornate “renaissance” pieces throughout the store are actually 20th century reproductions but the sellers dishonestly peddle them as though they’re the real deal), but surprisingly few actual antique pieces. There are a couple of dealers with some older stuff but they make up maybe 5% of the entire store...additionally it seems as though there is ONE dealer who’s reproduction pieces are scattered throughout the store to give the impression that there’s more “old stuff” than there really is.... (ironically all with the very highest price tags I’ve ever seen for reproduction OR authentic pieces)... and the stuff has sat there for YEARS.The biggest problem with this place is that it doesn’t really change.... and when it does, it’s usually to bring in something That ISNT actually antique...I’ve gone in there probably 5 times in the past 2 years and left disappointed and empty-handed each time.If you’re looking for an indoor flea-market/vintage junk shop, this place is fabulous,But if you’re actually looking for authentic, American antique pieces such as furniture, you certainly won’t find any here.(And if you do, such as the gorgeous 19th century pier mirror for a whopping $32,000, it’ll be so unreasonably priced that a road trip to another city to find what you’re looking for is a more feasible option).

This place is massive, and I suggest taking more than one trip here. Staff is friendly, helpful, and more than willing to reach out to dealers not physically present on your behalf. There’s a wide variety of locally made products, tons of antiques, and even more vintage. The cafe was bustling, and while I never got something from it I took it as a sign the food is good. The gallery itself has been super busy each time I’ve been there which attests to its popularity. That’s not something I can say for every antique mall I’ve been to. Another note is that they do layaway even on discounted items. Even if I didn’t use that service this time around, I love that the option is there. It’s an even bigger incentive to purchase pieces that I otherwise might be iffy on due to any immediate financial constraints. For my personal buying experience, I just bought a chair from dealer 1255. I ended up asking staff to contact them on my behalf and they kindly obliged. My previous experience at another antique mall in town was a lot more negative. They had refused to contact them even after they told me they would when the conversation began. I was pleasantly surprised when dealer 1255 reached back out. They answered all my questions the best they could, even arriving at the gallery the next day in person to begin cleaning up the chair and looking it over. She was there when I made it back to the gallery, spoke again about the chair to me, and accompanied me throughout the whole purchasing process. Super nice woman, and I highly recommend her! That level of customer service just made my purchasing experience that much more positive and confident boosting.
