My truck needed a transmission repair and I needed it done quickly. I called Lifetime Transmissions and they said to bring my truck on over and I was quoted a reasonable price over the phone on my first conversation with them. Mike always answered my calls and texts promptly and had my truck out and ready to go in just a couple days. The truck has performed great since. Mike also gave me some tips on how to keep my transmission maintained. He only uses quality parts for repairs. Would highly recommend Lifetime Transmissions to anyone!
I absolutely love my BMW. It was always my dream vehicle. I heard all the horror stories of electrical issues and high maintenance cost with these vehicles. Unfortunately, I’m at the point where I’m having to deal with the transmission failing. I went to a local transmission repair shop that specializes in European vehicles. They seemed very knowledgeable however I felt there was too much of a premium for their cost of services. And I got more of a Take it or leave it feel. I’m glad I trusted my gut. And made a few more calls. I found lifetime Transmission in Spring Texas. Right off the bat Michael and his master technician knew exactly the model of automatic transmission in my BMW. They explain to me some of the common issues and common repairs. They took time to ask questions the other transmission shops did not. For example my service history, had I ever performed a transmission service, when did the transmission start shifting poorly, does it perform better under hot or cold weather. They really took time to understand my issue. Instead of just giving me a price to replace or rebuild my transmission. They performed a free diagnostic. After two days they called me back and let me know the transmission had torque converter failure. And absolutely needed some clutch discs. Their price was substantially less than the other quotes I had gotten for a full transmission replacement. And their warranty was better. Lifetime warranty on the whole transmission. The transmission performs better than ever. They also took the time to give me some advice on maintenance of the transmission so that this problem does not happen again. Very refreshing to find a truly knowledgeable expert in the skill of transmission repair. A true car aficionado. And just a damn nice set of guys here at this garage. Did you ever require transmission repair or simply have some questions. They truly love their craft. And are happy to give counsel.
There is no doubt in my mind that lifetime transmission repair shop is the place for me they are absolutely incredible they have helped me out in more than one way when I first brought my truck to them it was from another mechanic shop that left my truck in pieces literally but lifetime transmission they turned everything around they actually went out to go get me truck from the other shop they repaired and rebuilt my transmission for my 2008 automatic transmission Toyota Tundra They replaced my torque converter, clutches and all that good stuff they work pretty speedy their professional and they keep me updated and informed about every last detail Even when it’s small hiccups like part delays they go the extra mile to make sure i got the part I needed in time frame I needed it if I ever run into any other problems I know exactly where to go to it’s lifetime transmission repair because they will truly take care of you I’m telling you they made my nightmare into dream
I had used another transmission repair shop in the area for my last transmission repair. The experience made me feel unappreciated as a consumer. Questions I had were disregarded. Options were very limited. Only offered me a new transmission. So when my work truck had issues with the transmission overheating and slipping I called multiple transmission repair shops in the spring area. When I spoke with Lifetime transmission I knew immediately that they were experts in repairing/fixing transmissions. Not like other shops to are simple replace and give me the huge bill. Before we talked about pricing or smithing of the sort. Michael at Lifetime transmission took time to ask me my vehicle history like if I had the truck since new, had the transmission ever been serviced? When did the problem with the transmission shifting poorly begin? Does it happens during hot or cold start? Felt like he was truly focused on pinpointing my concerns, rather than discussing pricing. He offered us a free tow and free diagnostic. His crew determined that the transmission was overheating from torque converter failure and required some clutch discs as well. I felt no pressure he allowed me to shop around. I discovered that the pricing was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. But the best value with Their lifetime warranty. He even allows me to split up the payments. The truck drives like new. So pleased I found this highly skilled local transmission shop. The only guys I trust on all my cars here forward.
I was blessed to come across an older Ford 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel truck. I got a great deal on the truck considering the transmission was slipping very hard. I called Lifetime Transmission in Spring Texas. Right off the bat I could tell Michael knew exactly what he was talking about. He knew that I had the 4R100 automatic transmission. He knew when I explained the slippage that it could be the torque converter. Further, he reassured me that a full transmission rebuild would likely no be necessary because the parts of the transmission internally are so heavy duty. He pulled the transmission and found essentially what he expected. Converter and clutches. Lifetime Transmission was easily a thousand better than other estimates I got. and the lifetime warranty is hands down the best. All that is required is an annual transmission service. He even did a mild transmission shift kit on the house since he could see that I too am a car guy. A million thanks. The truck is a monster again. Look forward to keeping this truck for many years to go. If you need a super knowledgeable transmission shop with an unmatched warranty . Give these guys a ring.
I have trouble trusting mechanics. So I need to find somebody that was upfront honest and knowledgeable.I did a search locally for transmission repair shops. Most of the ones I called were quick topush me towards a rebuild or an overhaul. They did not care to get the details of my issue. How long my problem had been there. Is it getting worse? Have I ever had the transmission serviced? When I called Lifetime Transmission repair of Spring Cypress Michael was completely different. He actually listened to what I had to say. Addressed all my concerns. And made a concerted effort to find alternatives to a full transmission rebuild or full transmission replacement. At the end of the day the diagnostics showed a failed torque converter and some coaches were needed. A little more than what I wanted to spend. But well less than other estimates I had gotten over the phone. The lifetime warranty was a big deal for me because I keep my vehicles for a long time. He was also able to do a rear main seal on the engine while he was working on the transmission. He could’ve easily charge full price for this. But he took care of it on the house. Showing that he really does give a darn about his customers. He also sent pictures of his progress and took the time to explain what was happening. Highly highly recommend this transmission repair shop for any of your automatic transmission repair needs, differentials, or transfer cases. Thank you again to Michael and his team at lifetime transmission repair in Spring Texas.
I was having an electrical issue with my 96 Chevrolet truck transmission. I have the 4L60e and the shaft seal had been leaking for a while. It covered the neutral safety switch and wires withe fluid and caused the insulation to deteriorate and expose bare wires. The shaft seal required a special tool that I could not get so I contacted Lifetime transmission shop to ask how to remove the seal so I could replace it. I spoke the master builder and he told me what to do. I already had the pan off so I could change the filter and fluid so remove the shaft was not so bad. I also replaced both shift solenoids as they were a bit loose due to worn o-rings. I am so pleased at the results of my labor and lifetimes advise. The transmission shifts like new now.Thank you so much for your help.Sincerely Tim
The personal touch to take care of customers is beyond exceptional. It’s like having a good friend who also works on cars. We have used them on multiple occasions one with a transmission and most recently with a radiator replacement. The service has always been exceptional. I have already recommended them to friends and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality affordable auto repair.
Great service and communication. Best prices I could find. Thorough inspection to detect problems. Gave me what I needed not what they wanted to sell. My 2004 f150 is good to go for another 250000 miles.Ironically the truck was totaled two weeks after work completion. But they were able to provide necessary documentation so the insurance companies would include the money spent for repairs in my settlement.Thank again.
I bought my granddaughter a vehicle for my small independent car lot. The vehicle drove well when we rode tested. And I was told by the sales person that we had something along the lines of a 30 day warranty(not true). The vehicle drove well over the first weekend and then my granddaughter called me Monday stating that a check transmission light came on and that the transmission was shaking and not shifting through all the gears. We initially went back to the car lot. Bottom line we were given the runaround. Told to drive it more and told there was no warranty. I decided to get my own independent opinion. Michael at Lifetime Transmission in Spring Was tremendously helpful. I was upfront that I simply was seeking advice. That we had strained our finances in purchasing a used car to begin with. And that we may not be ready for repairs for quite some time. I expected my concerns and my questions to be dismissed considering I was not ready to spend money. However Michael I was very compassionate very detail oriented and amazingly knowledgeable. He reassured us that the car we had purchased was able to be repaired based upon the transmission problems I had described. He reassured us that we would not need to replace the entire transmission. What a huge relief! I was very hopeful that the vehicle could be repaired at a fair price. We decided to borrow some funds from a family member to get the transmission repaired sooner rather than later. Lifetime Transmission offered a free diagnostic free tow truck service as well. Upon diagnosing they confirmed that the torque converter had failed. Some clutch disks were needed. And also the possibility of a sensor or a computer after the initial repairs were complete. The estimate we were given Was much more affordable than the estimates we had received from the dealer for replacement transmission or the estimates we had received from other local transmission repair shops to rebuild the automatic transmission. We are beyond satisfied. Michael and his crew even took time to make a short list of basic maintenance things that my granddaughter should pay attention to. Wonderful mechanics. Super nice fellas at this garage. Thanks 1 million.
Stole my sons car!!! Didnt even attempt to fix it. Just flat out stole it. A police report was filed. Many others scammed by this shop owner. Police and District attorney doing absolutely nothing to this thief. He should be under the jail. Do not take your car here. Beware!!!
Great service at a great price. Would have been 5 stars but timeliness could have been better. I recommend this shop and will use them again.
LIFE SAVERS!!!So I made the mistake of purchasing my son a four-wheel-drive Chevrolet pick up. I say I made a mistake because Chevy truck had many modifications made for going off road. Lifted truck, mud tires, performance parts on the engine etc. Needless to say I was not surprised when I was informed that the transmission Had gone out. This was after we had already expensed a healthy amount of money doing other repairs to the pick up truck as the previous owner used it for what it was built.Michael and his staff at Lifetime Transmissions in Spring Took the time on the telephone Ask important information about how the transmission was performing prior to failure. They emphasized that with a proper diagnostic upfront they would be able to keep my expenses at a minimum and do a transmission repair as opposed to a transmission replacement or full transmission overhaul. A full replacement transmission which recommended of course by the dealership and other reputable shops in the area. Michael explained the reason most gentle automotive shops Like fire stone Christian brothers etc. only replace the transmission is because they do not have a transmission repair specialist in house. But they are fully capable of ordering another one and installing it. Unfortunately this is to the detriment of the customer, As the customer would have to incur the full cost of replacement.Michael had his tow truck service pick up my vehicle from another repair shop. He did not even complain that he had to load some of the pieces to the transmission, as the other repair shop had already pulled the unit.Once the transmission Was disassembled on the bench. Michael informed me that the main components that were needed were simply the torque converter, various clutch discs, and a few clutch drums. This meant a huge savings over the other estimates I had received. I explained further to Michael that keeping the cost of a minimum Was critical as I had reached my maximum expenses on repairing the truck. And that my intent after the transmission repair was to sell the people and get something more reasonable with less probability of components failing. He even went so far as to recommend a few places forums etc. or I should be able to sell the vehicle quickly and get a fair price. While it take a few days longer I had hoped to receive the vehicle. The work was of the highest quality. Transmission performs beautifully. And I can say without a doubt Michael and the staff at lifetime transmission are by far the most knowledgeable folks I have ever spoken to you in regards to transmissions and almost anything else related to your vehicle. Thanks 1 million.
Nightmare of the highest level. They even wrecked my car by backing a tow truck I to it
Times are hard for everybody right now. That being said when my transmission on my Dodge went out I had to find any and every way to save money. Needless to say I was on a very tight budget. Fortunately I am mechanically sound and I was able to pull the transmission myself. When I started to call local Transmission Shoppes I got the impression that nobody wanted to assist me in repairing my transmission since I had already began the process. However when I spoke with Michael at lifetime Transmission it was a different story. He discussed what a quality product my Dodge truck was. How the truck would be able to last me half 500 K miles with proper care. And that typically my transmission did not require a full transmission rebuild or full transmission replacement. I decided to bring the transmission to the garage for them to perform their free inspection on the bench. Thank goodness they discovered all it was needed was the torque converter, clutch disks, transmission filter and a few of the internal clutch drums. I price matched their offer. And their prices were every bit as competitive as any online company selling rebuilt transmissions. Decided to have them do the work because they were offering a lifetime warranty. And again with times being tough I need to hold onto this vehicle as long as possible. After picking up the transmission they were readily available for technical support while I was performing the installation myself. They even offered to have my vehicle towed in and help out with the installation themselves. Just damn good mechanics. Highly recommend.
They did excellent work on my Chevrolet truck. She is a workhorse with hundreds of thousands of miles. When the transmission went out I knew I may need to consider that the repair cost may not be worth it to continue to drive my truck. However Michael and Garcia at lifetime transmission repair in Spring. Took the time to diagnose Transmission properly. Give me a fair price for a transmission repair not a complete new transmission. And they gave me some time to take care of the balance. They even threw in an upgraded torque converter since they knew just how much I loved my vehicle. Straight shooters, great work ethic, excellent communication. You will walk away with a better understanding of not only your automatic transmission but also how to care for your vehicle overall.
Went there to get a neutral safety swtch installed. Not only was the staff pretty nice but the job was done quickly and way more affordable than any quotes I got from other places. People say you get what you pay for but in this case you get more. Will be returning if i need any further transmission related services! Thanks guys!
I an a mechanical enginee or Sam call me a gearhead. I have a 1993 bronco and a 1973 bronco that I do all my own work on +2011 F 150 Ford. I was having shifting problem semi automatic and after researching YouTube I knew it was the range sensor. Michael allowed me to go buy my own porch come to his shop and watch his technician drop the pan so I could see with my own eyes what the possible damage may be. I had flush this transmission three times in the last 190 thousand miles so I was leery but after viewing what little residue was in the bottom of the pan I was confident that the range sensor with new filter pan gasket and 10 quarts of oil might make it work perfectly. I was right it works and shifts smooth as glass I am so thankful that I was able to meet up with Michael and his technicians so now I’m ready to go another hundred thousand miles.
The guys here at lifetime transmission repair in Spring Texas did superb mechanical work on my Ford diesel truck. I rely on my vehicle for Work. So bottom line if my truck is not operational I am not making money for my family. They perform the repairs in an efficient time frame. And with respect to my budget. They even went above and beyond and informed me of some other maintenance that is required on my truck so it did not surprise me and require more expensive repairs down the road. They provided this advice even though they had no intention of selling me those repair services at the repair shop they simply did it to do the right thing because they know That this truck is my money maker. And I would have to mention that their lifetime warranty is unbeatable. They even offered to do a transmission service on my wife’s vehicle and allow me to pick up the automatic transmission fluid and the automatic transmission filter on their wholesale account at the dealer. They did not benefit financially from offering this. They certainly have a customer for life. Highly highly recommend.
I am a small business owner. I rely on my three trucks for myself and my employees to operate our business. So when my dodge ram 2500 started giving me transmission problems. Needless to say I was very concerned. I have been servicing my vehicles at the local Dodge dealership for years. I have always felt that they have treated me fair and I still do. However, I felt their options to assist me with my transmission problem were limited. It appears that their only option was to replace my transmission with a completely new automatic transmission. I felt since the transmission would still shift there should be more options. I called to a few local shops and was able to speak with Michael at lifetime transmission repair. He explained to me that the 68 RFE automatic transmission is very durable and often times does not fail completely. He stated the situation might be related to a torque converter in the automatic transmission, or possibly the automatic transmission pump had failed. He offered a free diagnostic, free tow truck service, And most importantly for me as a business owner a lifetime warranty on the transmission repair. Upon diagnosis. The shop confirmed that there was converter failure and a few transmission clutch discs internally were needed. All in all lifetime transmission repair in Spring saved me roughly $2000 under the quote I received from the Dodge dealer. In a faster time frame. And with a better warranty.I referred a co worker here bc I had a superb experience. My friend brought their car in thinking the transmission was acting up. Turns out after Lifetime Transmission and their techs performed their diagnostics they discover it was only a speed sensor on the wheel. Was sending wrong speed and transmission would not respond properly. $100 part at dealer and problem solved. Thanks again.
This transmission shop went above and beyond in every way possible. In the very beginning they did not rush me to rebuild my automatic transmission or replace my automatic transmission they put every effort with my best interest at hand to try to service the automatic transmission or replace transmission sensors in order to keep my repair cost to a minimum. While I was disappointed that there was not a quick cheap fix for my transmission. After the initial diagnostic they had absolutely earned My trust. From there I allowed Michael and his mechanics at lifetime transmission repair and spring to lower and open the transmission. I ended up needing work to my clutch is a few drums and a torque converter. I did take a moment to compare pricing. And they were absolutely in line with other repair shops. If anything a little bit below on the cost. But what really made the decision for me was the lifetime warranty on the transmission. After the transmission was repaired it ended up needing computer work. This was work that Michael explain to me might be needed on these newer transmissions. And even though it was nothing I paid him for and even though he explained to me thoroughly that this would be my obligation, he still diagnosed the problem, allowed me to purchase the part on his wholesale account, and he personally paid his technicians to install the computer. He saved me hundreds on the computer repair in addition to doing an amazing job on the transmission. There were definitely some bumps in the road and some surprises. But Michael and lifetime transmission repair work with me every step of the way. Highly highly recommend This transmission shop for any automatic transmission work you may need. They work on all makes and models.
I am a civil servant who relies upon my vehicle to get to and from work sites. So when my Chevy went down needless to say I was stressed about missing any shifts Bc my truck is my tool. I cannot work without it I called Lifetime Transmission. Very impressed right off the bat Michael knew my transmission model, common problems, and repairs. He was able to reassure me that a complete replacement transmission or a full transmission rebuild would not be needed as my transmission could still drive, albeit in 1st gear only. I brought the truck in and he personally drove the truck with me. By the following day I was given a full list of part needed, torque converter, clutch discs, drums, pump. Now my truck is lifted, mud tires etc. Rather than try to upsell me on “performance” parts Michael shot me straight. He advised only 2 upgrades were worthwhile. #1 heavy duty clutch discs, and #2 upgraded converter. He could have sold me anything at the at point but he truly had my best interest at hand. Also he slowed me only to pay the small marginal parts cost difference rather than gouging for upgrades. The transmission runs phenomenally well. I can truly say better than new. If you are in need of transmission repair they do it all and you can truly see their passion for their work.
Waited a month to see my car in peices after being told a transmission replacement would only take 2 weeks. Low and behold this shop actually takes transmissions from the junkyard and claim them to be rebuilt. After I paid the excessive $2900 for the work that hasnt even been dont I come to find out that they backed into my car with a tow truck and totaled my car in their own parking lot. Now they refuse to compensate me or even finish the work I paid for unless I PAY THEM. My honest opinion is that this is a chop shop disguised as a car shop. If you care about your car and money do yourself a life saving favor and dont even consider this place.
I always dread when I half to do repair work on my vehicle. I am always concerned that I will not get treated fairly when I bring my vehicle to a repair shop. I have always felt that mechanics are more than just part changers. They should Be attentive, empathetic, diligent, excellent communicators. Michael at lifetime transmission and his repair staff in Spring Texas are all of the above. Rather than be annoyed by all of my questions. Michael took the time to address all my questions and concerns and I felt before we move forward with the repairs that I had a very good understanding of the work that was about to be performed. Why was needed. And how to ensure that my vehicle does not return to the repair shop in the future with more automatic transmission or drive train problems. I am so pleased that I have finally found and honest I Canik. They even took it upon themselves to assist me in correcting a small electrical issue with the vehicle they only build me the cost of the part they seem to really take pride in their work. I am posting this after two weeks of putting my new automatic transmission to use. It seems to be shifting good and the transmission temperature is staying at a minimum.I decided to stop bye before I went on a long road trip with the family to Colorado. The guys were very cordial. No extra charge. They not only checked my transmission fluid levels, and did a quick spin around the block in the vehicle. But they also scanned it. Advised I should at least do an engine oil change. And a rotation of tires. Top-notch service.
Three months later the vehicle and transmission are still running super strong. When I returned for follow up visit they even offered to do a throttle sensor for me. Let me buy the part on their wholesale account and only asked for a small tip for their labor. These guys saved me again. Thanks so very much.Everyone has a transmission shop horror story. So when you find a good honest transmission shop you need to let others know. That was my experience here. They were prompt to check the transmission. And their diagnosis was much more than just looking at the transmission dip stick to check transmission fluid levels. Further, they tried some simple affordable options before they concluded internal failure had occurred. Yet, they still respected my budget and replaced only the pieces of the transmission that were needed. I believe some clutches, transmission filter, and some of the gears. They are my go to transmission guys.
Had an awesome experience with these guys, they got me in as soon as they as they could and diagnose to a leak Ive been having for months now on a seal Ive replaced four different times. got me the part and got me fixed up the next morning without any problems or hassle very professional kept me in the loop at all times. will be coming back again the future for any other transmission problems
I did not get my transmission repaired here. I went to another transmission shop that I thought would be cheaper. Turns out the age old adage is true. You pay for what you get. I had a used transmission put in at another local transmission shop. Will remain unnamed. I felt this was my only option because I was on a tremendous budget. But unfortunately once I paid for the used transmission the repair shop told me there were other things that needed to be repaired at additional cost. I remembered having spoken with Michael at lifetime Transmission and him being very knowledgeable. I decided to give him a ring back and see if he might at least point me in the right direction. Sure enough he knew exactly what the issue was. That likely they had not adjusted the transmission cable properly. I expected he would have a substantial labor rate to repair the issue considering the job and not originally gone to him. Rather, He was Sympathetic to my situation. He allowed me to speak directly with his master technician. And allowed me to give him a small tip. I was in and out within about 45 minutes. Just want to spread the word that there are still good mechanics out there. And this gentleman and his technicians are top notch when it comes to tomatic transmission repair. They could’ve easily charged me again for another round of repaies. But rather to get the right thing and help somebody in need.
If I could rate 0, I would. My parents took in their 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 on the word that Michael could fix it. He told them that he could repair the car, no worries.2 and 1/2 weeks and almost $5,000 later, he did not fix the car, never could fix the car, and caused further damage to the vehicle! Now, he’s being rude and completely unprofessional because we are asking for a refund immediately.Do not send your car here to waste your money! Listen to the other reviews!
Brought my vehicle back 08-17-2020. Still running super strong just completed long road trio for holidays. And came in for my follow up visit. All good to go.There was nothing wrong with the vehicle per se. The transmission has been performing well. But I called for some advice before a long family road trip. Even though the technicians didn’t stand to gain financially from assisting me. They encouraged me to bring the vehicle by for a free bumper to bumper check up before I got on the road. Thank goodness they found that I was a little bit low on coolant in the radiator. They had me run to the auto parts store and topped it off for me.They saved me a huge headache. Thanks again guys.you’re looking for a knowledgeable transmission shop that is very fair on the pricing. You need not look any further than lifetime transmission repair in Spring Texas. They gave me a quote over the phone and they adhered to it. My Honda accord started slipping very badly in first gear and second gear. Further, the check transmission light came on the dash. To my surprise Michael knew exactly what transmission it was just by giving him the year make and model. He explained some of the common problems with these automatic transmissions. And rather than jump quickly to a full transmission rebuild or transmission overhaul he discussed other alternatives. An automatic transmission oil change with the Automatic transmission filter change. Unfortunately these transmission service is not correct on my issues. Michael was fair and did not charge me since all the issues were not corrected. He did give me an estimate to repair the transmission including the torque converter in clutch discs. His pricing was right in line with other shops except in one area. The transmission repair warranty that Michael and lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas provide his head and shoulders above the rest. No one else was offering a lifetime guarantee. With a free transmission service after the first year. These are the go to guys For anything related to transmission repair or clutches or transfer cases and differentials.
Follow up 12-15-20Has the truck for some time. Was driving great but I heard a roaring noise recently... brought it back. And I am sure we have all been there when you return for warranty work the shop is typically not excited. However, these folks were very accommodating. No fuss at all. Turns out noise was a bearing on one of the shafts. Rather than refer me elsewhere, or give me a new quote for repairs. They let me get the part on their account and slapped it on within 30 mins. Give the tech a small tip. Great customer service. Thiss transmission is still running super strong!!My Chevrolet truck was about 5000 miles out of manufactures warranty. Super frustratingwhen I had to call the Chevrolet dealer and they told me I needed a brand new transmission rebuilt for $5000. I called a few local shops. And I felt that lifetime transmission repair his staff and Michael were by far the most knowledgeable and most customer service oriented. Because of course it’s never fun dealing with costly vehicle repairs.Michael and his staff at lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas saved me thousands over the options given to me by the dealership. Their lifetime warranty was a much better value for me considering I plan on keeping the vehicle. Further, they explained it did not need a full replacement transmission. It’s simply needed some clutch discs and a drum I opted to replace the torque converter for the transmission while we were in there.I left the repair shop feeling great about my decision. My truck drove better than before because they put some updated components and a very mild shift kit on the valves for the transmission. I had saved thousands of dollars over the transmission repair at the dealer. And I have what I found in my research to be the best warranty hands-down. I did not leave feeling as if I had been taken vantage of forgotten a bad deal. And I hate to admit I have had that feeling multiple times before leaving garage.
Following up. 08-14-20. I started to have an issue with my air conditioning not cooling. Rather than go to a random general automotive repair shop. I came back to the guys that have done me right time and again. Michael immediately check the air conditioning. And put me in contact directly with one of his mechanics. I was very glad to hear it simply was low on Freon. Michael could’ve easily charge full price, or worse recommended repairs that might not of been completely needed. Super appreciative of these guys and their honesty. They just don’t make mechanics this way anymore. If I could give them six stars I would. They went far above and beyond to assist me. First I must say they are absolutely the most knowledgeable On automatic transmissions out of any repair shop I have spoken to. And I have had my “cars worked on for 20 years. Then you were exactly the type of transmission I had, some of the common transmission problems and estimates. They replaced clutches and a torque converter plus the transmission filter and assisted me in avoiding the cost of a full replacement transmission. Furthermore They corrected a wiring issue with my main harness at ncharge to me. They could’ve easily passed the problem on to me and sent me to spend more money elsewhere. But rather they incur the expense on themselves to put me the customer first. Head and shoulders above any other repair shop I have dealt with. By the way they give free diagnostics on any of your other general automotive problems even though they don’t do general automotive repair. They offer that service just to help their customers out. Just darn good people and darn good mechanics.Brought car back under warranty 05-25-2020 and thought I had transmission leak. Turns out it was a brake fluid leak. The techs still offered to help me get the part at wholesale cost. They didn’t need to but they still offered help. Damn good mechanics darn good people.
Excellent service and very quick to respond and give estimated repair time. I called these guys up about my transfer case that needed to be serviced with a full overhaul and Mike was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. The kept the price extremely reasonable and instead of charging hourly like most shops do, he gave me a flat rate for the service being provided. So I know I’m not getting ripped off. Even the parts needed he got me at commercial prices and not jacked up unrealistic retail prices. Score! I’m the near future I am going to be needed a complete transmission rebuild, and you can get in coming back to you guys
Left my transmission unsecured out behind the building after waiting 3 hours beforehand to come pick it up
Place is a scam, do not take your car here. Sal Ruiz has an entire page on Facebook about his business. It’s called Lifetime transmission scam. All the good reviews you’re seeing are done by him. The place is a mud pit. He got me for $2,854 dollars and didn’t fix anything. I now have my car at another shop being fixed. He will not refund your money. He makes you pay half up front cash. There are over 63 people on the Facebook page. He’s shut down and reopened 4 times under new names.
The transmission is still running like a damn champion. Truly better then before . They replaced the broken components in the automatic transmission but also upgraded the transmission by Adding a few extra clutch discs, upgraded automatic transmission accumulators for higher pressure and better automatic transmission shifts and they also put stronger springs in the transmission valve body. Shifts faster, firmer, and even the automatic transmission temperature stays under 190. Truly an improvement. I have shoulder boats, equipment for oil and gas to west Texas and t won’t skip a beat. Thanks again. I feel like I could get another 100 k Miles out of my rebuilt 6 speed automatic transmission. This is my follow up for 06-14-2019. 👍👍👍👍👍The gentlemen here earned every bit of 5 stars as they not only repaired my burnt up transmission, but also aided in sourcing and repairing other components which needed attention. I am and Iraq war veteran. I have fallen on some hard times recently. But I was able to record my tools and my Chevy 2500 truck. With the 6 speed automatic transmission and four wheel drive transfer case .I travel for work doing construction. So with my truck having transmission problems of course I was in a panic but I would not be able to continue to dig myself out of this hole. Michael and Garcia took time to diagnose all the electrical issues and attempt to repair those first in hopes that I might not need a complete replacement transmission. And me and the automatic transmission control module. What is needed plus a few other components. But definitely well short of the estimate I have got at the Chevy dealer and at one other local transmission repair shop. Save me thousands. I waited a few weeks to truly test out the transmission and now I am happy to leave my Feedback for these true experts in their field. I have not met anyone more knowledgeable about automatic transmissions and transmission repair than lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas.
I was given the name of Lifetime Automotive as a great shop that works with the customers to help them stretch their dollars!!They explained that their primary focus is transmission repair and other drivetrain components like transfer cases and differentials. They were still happy to help with this general automotive work at wholesale cost just to help get us back on the road. They allowed me to find my parts and purchase them that helped keep the cost much lower!!I need to help my daughter get her 2005 Nisian 350Z back on the road!It needed new rear wheel bearings and new rotors & pads to keep the car safe! Now my daughter can drive safe and stop fast if needed. It did not brake the bank comparied to other quotes I compared!Thank you Lifetime Auto!Regards,A Satisfied Customer
So this guy here is a complete flake. He will tell you that he will have the car done in two days and then take over a month to get it done. He will constantly come up with excuse after excuse on why the car isn’t done. He lies. He rips ppl off
05-13-21Update brought the truck back for follow up visit after 1 year. The Master technician noticed some premature where on a transmission pressure sensor solenoid. I had not noticed any shifting problems with the transmission. But I do appreciate that the transmission builder was proactive. They could have easily Just waved me through. And not taking any additional time to order parts or perform preventative maintenance. I feel like they truly understand this is my family vehicle, and my workhorse for my job. Really remarkable knowledge on transmission repair. And they really give a damn about taking care of their clients.satisfied with not only the quality of the repair work, the timeframe for repair, and the pricing, but also with the extra time spent explaining the work being performed to my transmission. No one ever likes to Pay for car repairs. Especially expensive car repairs like a transmission. When my vehicle started to act up I did a search on Google and I must’ve called about four different transmission repair shops. The first three all sounded the same. Bring it in we probably need to rebuild the transmission. They all had me off the phone with in two minutes. Entirely different when I spoke with Michael. He asked the service history of the vehicle, when if ever I had my transmission fluid and filter changed, how long the check transmission light has been on, does the transmission perform better under hot or cold circumstances. All these questions made me feel as if you truly cared to save me money on my transmission repair. Also I get a much better understanding of how my transmission operates. They performed a free tow, free transmission diagnosis and determined all I needed was a torque converter, and a transmission rebuild kit. Their estimate for the transmission repair was cheaper than the other 3 estimates I had received and I received a lifetime warranty on the transmission repairs. Definitely give Michael and Garcia a call should you have any transmission repair needs. No it seems a little cliché. But the vehicle really is driving better than when it Was new. These guys really are experts in the field of transmission repair. I would feel 100% confident bringing them any make or model of automatic transmission, standard transmission or any other drivetrain components for them to repair. They are respectful of your budget. And you leave with a good feeling and understanding of what you think you just don’t get that nowadays.
Michael at lifetime transmission repair shop really helped me out today! Excellent knowledge and very friendly! Thanks for your help today!!
I called the day after Christmas and they were wonderful. Offered a tow if the car wasn’t drivable and a free diagnostic for my Mercedes. I really appreciate them and for being open when they were. I was out of town and needing to get home quickly!
Ive never had a shop to care as much them I literally called Mr Michael everyday almost every hour asked a million questions. Even though my vehicle was not the newest or the fanciest. He still gave me every bit as much attention as any other customer. Taking the time to answer all my questions not only about the automatic transmission but about my vehicle in general. He even took the time to write down some other regular maintenance that would be recommended that had absolutely nothing to do with the transmission and for which he would not charge. He gave me multiple options for repairs. And was able to assist me in avoiding the need to get a brand new or a full rebuild transmission. Saved me thousands. And gave me the assurance that I was investing in the right type of vehicle. he answered every single one and even when I called him after business hours this is a man that gives you your best options and genuinely cares about his customers very patient man yrs take your car to him if you ever have any problem I highly recommend them.
Update 06-15-19Unbelievable customer service. My transmission was done almost 3 or four months ago. And everything without experience was wonderful. I got a follow up call a few weeks later for a free follow up visit. They got me in and out within 15 minutes. And everything has been continued to drive well with the new automatic transmission. But then I got a call from the owner Michael at lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas. He did not call to sell any other repairs or any type of service plan. Rather he called to inform me that while at a technical seminar. He was informed that Ford had issued a recall on some of the components that I had replaced In my six speed automatic transmission all wheel drive 2014 Ford explore. He explained that at no compensation to him financially. He would be happy to provide extra documentation and assist me on reaching out to the Forge corporation or at least a partial reimbursement. I mean who does this. He had already received his payment and he already had a satisfied customer. He now has a customer for life and he has a customer that will sing his praises to everybody about automotive repair and especially transmission services. In the spring,Texas in the Woodlands,Texas area.Had serious problems with my Ford Explorer 2014 all wheel drive. Explained all my vehicles issues clearly and offered sound advice. He was tremendously knowledgeable knew the exact model of transmission. 6R something. Knew the common problems with the converter and clutches. Even if it meant they did not make as much money) Got me all fixed up and back on the road fast, I fee 3 days is fast. . Very trustworthy and I have recommended 2 other folks here already. My automatic transmission shifts great now thanks so much. They even offered to pick me up and drive me to get my rental car. Then pick me up from the rental car location whatever they were done. Also they could’ve easily swiped my credit card given you my keys and got me out the door. But instead the master automatic transmission rebuild her and the older and the shop foreman Michael. Took an extra 20 minutes to get my vehicle on the lift and she’ll be all the work that had been done my old parts so that I could have an understanding of how complicated the automatic transmission is and all the time and efforts they have put into getting it right and also Advice on how to maintain the rest of the vehicle like the transfer case in the differentials. This is my only transmission shop in Spring Texas in the Woodlands
I was robbed. First of all, this place looks like an old junk yard. Broken down vehicles.Old disassembled transmissions laying around. And this guy Mike is a good talker. He seemed very knowledgeable about my vehicle. Problem is, I never met him in person. You can only communicate with him by phone. The so called master mechanic, Garcia, is the only person you see. The place is rarely open during the daytime, they work under the cover of night. The most they will do as far as repairing your transmission is replace the torque converter which wont fix the problem. But because they dont know how to rebuild transmissions, they will never offer to do that. I ended up taking my truck to another transmission specialist because I knew this place wasnt gonna fix it right. And I really needed my vehicle. Almost $4k down the drain. I wouldnt give Lifetime Transmissions not even 1 star.
Follow up 05-13-21I originally came to lifetime Transmission and Spring Texas because the dealership refused to honor the warranty on my transmission. Tremendously frustrating. After multiple calls and discussing the technical aspects of my automatic transmission with Michael at lifetime transmission. I was convinced that this was the repair shop for me. They were able to address all the transmission concerns. At a better price than I expected. And most importantly they agreed that they would help provide any documentation to the dealership That would assist and me getting even a partial reimbursement. They had no obligation to do this. But they truly understood my frustration with the Ford dealership. After a few months of back-and-forth calls with regional managers corporate offices and lots of technical documentation from Michael at lifetime. I finally got a partial reimbursement. It was not a huge amount. But it helps. Really do appreciate these guys going above and beyond. After getting the runaround from the dealership I had to look for an alternative to get my transmission repaired. The service writer at the local Ford dealership explained that he could not warranty my transmission under the recall because the internal module had not failed completely. He stated the transmission control module was only failing intermittent and therefore the dealership and Ford had no liability. I called lifetime transmission repair in Spring Texas and Michael took the time to listen to me complain about the Ford dealer and the ridiculousness of the fact that they would not warranty the recall on my transmission control module. Once I got to vent. I explain to him what the vehicle was doing. He recommended we try a transmission fluid service first. He offered to waive the fee if the transmission service did not correct all of my problems. I was hopeful But in the end the service to the transmission was not the solution. It ended up being the internal transmission control module and the torque converter for the transmission. Apparently when the transmission control module is not operating properly the torque converter and the transmission clutches do not get enough transmission oil. The transmission drums still rotate but without enough transmission oil the transmission clutches break. The transmission clutches debris then clog the automatic transmission filter. The. The entire automatic transmission cannot pulp transmission oils em we have internal trans failure. But after the initial phone call Michael and my time transmission in Spring Texas had my trust and my business today and in the future. Extremely knowledgeable At the craft of transmission repair and tremendously compassion. You just don’t get that nowadays most repair shops. They really do care to hear about their customers concern . I don’t recommend anybody else if you need transmission repair in Houston Texas.
Lifetime Transmission Repair in Spring is my shop for life!! They have taken care of my Toyota, my husbands Mercedes, and my sons Lexus. Not all for transmission repairs but I trust their knowledge and honesty. They are terrific at diagnosing the problems, repairing them and communicating with customers about the repairs. Only complaint if I have one is that they stay so busy that the work sometimes moves a little slower than I would like. But worth the wait bc I’m my experience it’s damn hard to find a mechanic you can trust. And now that I have I keep coming back. They are so terrific that we drive all the way across town to take our vehicles there! Michale is a terrific diagnostician and as observant to details as you will ever meet. The front office staff Garcia and are super nice and on top of everything going on in a very busy shop. They even took the time to top off my washer fluid even though nobody asked them to. Very courteous
Leaving a five star for this shop is a very well deserved rating for the services that was rendered. From the start, the staff was extremely friendly, making an appointment was very easy and the work done was very professional and the best price in town! I never knew that the fluids used for service are VIN specific and Michael took the time to order the fluids and filter prior to my appointment date. As soon as I arrived for the appointment I was greeted immediately by the staff and explained the process of how my Front/ Rear Diff and Transmission were going to be serviced. I was introduced to Rafael who was the Tech that was going to work on my 2015 F-150 FX4 Platinum. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to great a transmission job at a VERY GOOD PRICE! Thanks Lifetime Transmission in Spring,Texas especially Michael. for the honest and professional work that yall do for your customers!
Part 2(Lana review) The police ended up coming and wanted to charge me $145 to tow my car. Once our car made it back to the shop Mike wasn’t there of course. Days and weeks go by and we literally had to call and text him just to get an update. Several times he would say I’ll call you at this time or call you in the morning and NO CALL!!!!8/8/20 we had the car towed back to our house and it’s still not working. He keeps telling us that we need a new computer but we had no computer issues prior to him supposedly fixing our car. We asked him for all our money back and told him he could remove all the parts he so called placed on our vehicle. So we can take it to someone else. Of course he refused stated that his transmission works but how would you know when we never even seen the car running or moving since dropping it off. Now we have to spend more money to actually have it fixed. Tomorrow is 8/15/20 and we’re having the car looked at by another mechanic bc IT’S STILL NOT WORKING!!! I really hope you find someone with morals and like Mike who is just about the money and has no problem leaving you out to dry!!If I could give -0 stars I would!!!!
I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this mechanic shop. The only reason why I took my car to this shop was that this place had good/ok reviews when I search up their shop. I took my car in to get it fixed and spend almost more than $2k for my car to still not be running properly and other small issues that needs to be fixed along the way. I feel like mechanic shop like this are scamming people to get money out of them and the owner just knows how to sweet/good talk to you to just hearing what you want to hear so you can give them the money upfront.
Terrible, this place is a out right scam. I wasted 3000$ on nothing and ended up having the same problems 50 miles later. I had to take it to another mechanic who end up putting in another transmission for 1700$. The car has worked fine since I got it back from the second mechanic. This shop is a total scam and I would take my money and run. If you have already been scammed then file a report with the Houston District attorneys office. This guy is already under federal investigation for fraud and they are on the verge of sticking it to him hard. This has already escalated to multiple felonies and he has done work on undercover officers vehicles who were sent in. Just continue filing on him because it will in turn be the rest of his life he will spend behind bars.
UPDATE: 07-25-2019Could not be happier. The transaction was smooth from day 1. In and out quickly. They made sure to handle everything with my insurance company(something I was worried about, we all know how insurance companies can play hard ball) Michael got all repairs approved, lifetime warranty, rental covered, and even got my deductible back. Got a call this week for my 1 year check up. The had me in and out in 30. Clean bill of health. Since last year I have reffered 2 other friends with transmission issues. Both super satisfied. Thanks a million!!!I recently got into an accident, driver backed into me, rolled my transmission back, and I had experienced major issues. I couldnt accelerate, and insurance tried to claim that my car was drivable. I called in a plus, they got me in ASAP, and they diagnosed my vehicle within 30 minutes of me explaining the issues with driving. They immediately took me aside, showed and explained what happened when I was hit, and how they would work with my insurance to finish my repair. They were amazing. Thank you all for taking care of me!
LOOK NO FURTHER. THIS IS THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE TRANSMISSION SHOP! AND THEYhave an older Ford truck. With 170,000 miles. I had considered buying aremanufactured unit from the dealer or from Jasper. But the cost could not be justified. I did a local Google search for repair shops in the area. And these guys were the most informative and most receptive to addressing all of my questions.I came in and did a road test with the master mechanic Joe. He was able to diagnose my problem quickly. They gave me a quote upfront and they held to it.Apparently the torque converter in the transmission failed. And that caused the transmission to overheat. I also ended up eating rebuild kit with clutches and a few solenoid’s for the transmission electrical system. They were able to work with me by giving me some time to handle the balance without penalties. Greatly appreciated during tough economic times. The transmission operates very well.
Brought them our Chevy work van. Our workhorse has over 200K on it but we put a rebuilt engine in so we did not want to incur the cost of getting a new 30K van. Neither did we want to overspend for a new transmission. We brought it here to lifetime and we got prompt diagnosis. We were told Converter clutches and some other components had failed. The lifetime warranty was a deal maker for us. If we were to invest this money we wanted to get the best value. The manager Mike was informative to a fault lol. We actually had to get him to stop talking transmissions so we could put this truck back to work. He so very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. These experts are the ones to trust for transmission repairs period.
I have an older Mercedes-Benz that has been passed down to me and so therefore has sentimental value. However as any Mercedes-Benz or European luxury owner knows repair costs can get out of hand quickly. Hard to find parts, computer programming with today’s technologically advanced vehicles, and the challenges of dealing with German engineered vehicles. That being said I still did not want to have to sell my Mercedes Benz. I did extensive research on aftermarket warranty companies to help mitigate some of the cost of repairs as I begin to approach the hundred thousand mile marker. I selected the one that I felt was the best value. Sure enough about three months after purchasing the warranty I started to experience problems with the automatic transmission. In the morning I would have delayed shifts, the transmission would slam into gear between the third and the fourth gear shift, and I had a check transmission light come across my dash. I called just about every shop within 20 miles of where I live And I selected lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas because of the extensive knowledge that Michael and his technicians possess. They knew exactly the model of automatic transmission in my Mercedes Benz and knew some of the common problems with these automatic transmissions. Once lifetime transmission repair had a diagnostic and breakdown on the automatic transmission they called in the claim to my warranty company. Here is where things got difficult. I learned very quickly that some of these aftermarket warranty companies function very much like insurance companies. Meaning the more claims they can decline the more profit for their company. I encountered lots of pushback from the warranty company. They tried to claim that the torque converter has normal wear and tear in the automatic transmission. Whatever normal wear and tear means. So therefore they should not have to cover that. They took it even further to explain But if the torque converter in the automatic transmission caused the problem and they may not be liable for any of it. Michael spent countless hours on phone calls with their insurance adjuster. After many days of back-and-forth Michael was finally able to explain to them why the torque converter failed. That was only half the battle. Once the claim was approved I then learned that the insurance company reserves the right to send us a junkyard transmission. Again Michael spent hours on the telephone with the adjuster explaining that I did not want a junkyard transmission put into my vehicle. He was able to get the insurance company to issue a payment so that we could get the legitimate transmission repairs fixed properly at the garage. I can truly say that if it was not for Michael and his crew at lifetime transmission in there Years of experience in the repair of Automatic transmissions. I would not have gotten my vehicle repaired properly. I am forever in debtor.Hands-down if you need any type of automatic transmission repair or servicing anywhere in Houston. These are the technicians to go to. I would give 10 stars if I could. Further, the car drives better than you since I’ve had it back for the last two weeks.
Guillermo, Jose, and the crew at here are top-notch professionals who provide excellent care for your car and great customer service. Having recently relocated to Houston, finding this shop was like finding a little piece of my old home town. It is reminiscent of the long-time town mechanic just down the road; the mechanic everyone knows and trusts, the one that everyone sends their friends to. Personalized service is the rule, efficiency and integrity are absolute. They are always voluntary to explain not only WHAT, but WHY your car needs what it needs. Old parts kept and boxed up upon request. But no need to doubt these guys they know all there is to know about transmissions. Very refreshing to find a TRUE EXPERT in their field.
They went above and beyond. They towed my vehicle in. Gave me a ride to work since I did not want to have the liability of a rental car, but they still gave me the $100 Rental coupon to use as a discount. The repairs were right in line with the estimates given to me over the phone. A few unexpected delays when they tried to save me money by repairing a part of the transmission rather than just bill me forit. And eve though I did not have the full amount for the transmission repair they gave me many options for repayment. All fair and reasonable. They even dropped off my sons baseball cleats that he forgot in the car.. Thanks a million!. Really nice people,, excellent transmission technicians, and super courteous.
Very refreshing automotive repair experience. I am very mechanically sound with a vehicle. I perform most basic services on mine and my families vehicles if I can. When my Chevrolet Silverado started to show signs of transmission failure I took my time to call all the local transmission repair shops before deciding to have my vehicle towed in. Lifetime transmission in spring is the only repair shop where I did not feel like I was being sold automotive repairs. Rather I felt that I was being educated on the internal mechanics of my transmission, common transmission failures, and most importantly proper automatic transmission maintenance to avoid costly repairs in the future. They were very respectful of my budget. In fact, we tried to replace some solenoid’s in the filter and the valve in the valve body before the mechanic jumped to removing and inspecting the transmission. They were very upfront that replacing the solenoid was not a guarantee. Sure enough the vehicle drove well for a few weeks and then it progressively got worse. When I had no other option but to bring it back for the internal repairs. They isolated the problems and were able to save me several hundreds less than getting a full replacement automatic transmission. They truly do their best to fix it right and to fix it at a fair price.
I made my decision to bring my work truck here based upon their knowledge. I did not believe them when they told me my Ford truck had a BMW transmission. I took a moment did my due diligence and confirmed this with the dealer. They had me based upon their knowledge and expertise at that point. They did take a few days longer than I had hoped and there were some components that were beyond repair that put me a little over what I had budgeted. But they work with me and as of now my work truck feels better than new
SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT!!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!! IT IS LEGIT A SCAM!!!! I PUT 5 STARS SO IT CAN BE SEEN FIRST!!!They will say free diagnostic and tow and will quote you a certain price (mine was from $500-800) to get your car in the shop and when you get it there the guy Mike will tell you its gonna be $2500 once you send back a text in agreement to their contract WHICH STATES IF YOU DONT DO THE WORK THERE ITS $599 FOR THEM TO DO NOTHING TO YOUR CAR! They had my car for over a week and I am about to pay $500 for nothing. TAKE IT FROM ME, ONCE YOU SEE THAT ITS IN A DIRT LOT, MAKE A U TURN PLEASE!!!!
Very professional and honest. My transmission needed to be replaced and saved me a ton of money compared to the list of other shops I visited. Quick turnaround, no issues, and super friendly.
Horrible place I have been trying to get my vehicle for a week. I try to get my vehicle from them, they say we cannot install the part without the payment. Red flag, but I was to naive. We pay them the money to install the part. Tells me lies about how he will have it ready the same day. Next thing I know he is calling in the morning says wrong part for the vehicle. Says I can fix it by 3pm. I try to get it, another lie about how the part wont be in until next day. I am at his mercy until he feels like he has made me suffer. DO NOT COME HERE.
Wow! Michael followed up with me and offered so many pointers where he could help. He never judged my situation or tried to take advantage of me as a woman. I rarely post my situation but thought the service was well worth it. I really cannot thank him enough. I manage a customer service team so I know great service when I see it!! He even helped me understand the codes from another shop. I’ve attached those pictures with the many codes. It was great since I was charged from another company who did not fix my situation and border line disrespectful when I questioned the lifetime warranty and free towing on their card but tried to charge me for another look at the car...
This was A trash experience for Transmisson Shop For No lights not enough workers and the owner just tells you what you want to hear He told me it was just my transmission fluid turned out that I have an electrical problem with my transmission which I found out from a real Transmisson shop.. lifetime transmission scan my car and said that there was no transmission codes that popped up when in fact I do have a Transmisson code please save yourself the trouble and do not go to the shop it is definitely a scam it’s all talk no productivity💯
The guys at Lifetime Transmission are great. I called them up and told that my 2007 Ford Expedition had some flood damage, Mike offered to have it towed to his shop so they could check it out .I tell you these guys are very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Mike breaks the repairs down step by step and sends pics as well so you can see what hes discussing with you. He showed me where the water damage was at and explained how he was going fix the problems, such as clean the water out of the transmission, replace the fluid, filter, fuse box control center as well as rebuild the transmission.Mike gave me day to day work progress, he even offered to do other minor mechanical work on parts that he felt needed to be replaced with no extra charge.I definitely appreciated that, I highly recommended them for any of your mechanical needs.Im going to be a long time customer with Lifetime Transmission, thanks guys.
My mom came to visit me here in Houston and her transmission went out. I shopped for another transmission that I could replace myself. I also shopped around for reputable transmission shops in Spring,Texas. I came across Lifetime Transmission and their great reputation. I researched their reputation for a couple days and finally decided to inquire. I called on Monday morning and spoke with Michael. Hewas very knowledgeable, courteous, and to the point. He knew right off the bat the model of my automatic transmission and common transmission problems and transmission repairs woh honest realistic pricing. Heanswered every question and gave me an estimate over the phone. Garcia scheduled a tow truck to come pick up my moms car at home Tuesday morning. I came to the shop and they showed me the old transmission and explained the repair procedure. We needed the forward drum, transmission pump, transmission rebuild kit, and transmission torque converter. Because the repairs were so technical I get much better swiping my credit card after getting an understanding as to why the transmission failed what it would take to have the transmission run properly and how to keep it on the road . Lifetime Transmission of spring Texas finished the car in less than one day. I was picking up the car Wednesday morning.Thank you Garcia, Michael, Jose for making my experience at Lifetime Transmission a very positive experience. It will be difficult for any other shop to top that. I will recommend Lifetime Transmission Repair of spring Texas to EVERYONE.!!!!!
I had problems with the rear main seal leaking i was having trouble finding a good trustworthy mechanic until a friend recommended them. I call him and he solved the problem immediately. I will definitely go back to him and I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family
I was very happy with there service the vehicle came back good,I had a little issue with the exhaust but they warranty their work and fix it right away The transmission is a Mercedes-Benz 722.96 speed automatic. In addition it has the four-wheel-drive new venture transfer case. The rebuild kit the torque converter and all electrical replaced on the automatic transmission.
So I am new to the area. And was not happy to go thru the arduous process of calling local mechanic shops, then trying them out and finding out the hard way if I can trust the mechanic or not. So I was definitely stressing out when my 2010 Ford Expedition started exhibiting signs of transmission problems. I am a weekend warrior in the garage so I got on the internet, your tube, transmission repair forums and did tons of research. I was able to learn that my 4 speed automatic transmission was actually relatable for the most part. Transmission failure was not hat common until well in excess of 100k miles on the transmission. I was right at that point . But I read that sometimes you can get lucky and it may just need a transmission filter change or replacement of the solenoids on the transmission. I knew I couldn’t change sensors and such but I certainly get competent to change transmission fluid and transmission filter. Upon dropping the pan I felt positive because there was not a huge amount of that transmission clutch material. I proceeded to change the transmission filter and fluid. Much to my disappointment I drive it and no improvement but. At least I did t break it lol. At that point I was done playing mechanic. I called. A few local big name transmission repair shops in spring, they will remain unnamed, I’m sure you can guess which ones. They start with an A and end with mco. All I was hearing was dismissiveness on the phone regarding my questions. All their y’all headed towards towing it in and things like “well we are probably going to need to rebuild at those miles”. Most the transmission shops didn’t give a darn to hear about my concerns, what I had already done etc. until I called lifetime Transmission repair. Michael was very accommodating patient even thoughg you could tell from how loud it was that hewas working in the shop . Heard all I had to say, asked even more questions like how long has transmission been slipping, does transmission slip when hot or cold? Things I didn’t even think of. Most importantly he said the transmission will Not need transmission repairfull rebuild. Because when a car needs a full rebuild transmission or hall replacement transmission. Typically that means all the gears in the automatic transmission are broken. And if that was the case. My car would not drive at all.At that point lifetime transmissions and Michael and his staff definitely had my trust. He offered me a Free Tow irregardless of repair. And offered a rental car. Then he offered to reimburse for a maximum of three days. This was a huge help since the cost of relocating from Oklahoma had already put a huge dent in my finances. I was able to get a Rent-A-Car and Michael even gave me a ride to enterprise. I expected like at most repair shops to get a call within 30 minutes with the list parts . To my surprise I got a text message at the end of the day that they were still performing tests. Dropping the pan checking the valve body on the automatic transmission on doing the line pressure test. I received a call the next morning and Michael explained that I needed our permission to drop the transmission. However I got enough for it to work with our budget. He offered to waive the labor fee of removing the automatic transmission. This was a huge help. Later that day received a call about a call that essentially the toque converter had come apart, We required also an automatic transmission rebuild kit and the valve body on automatic transmission. I really didn’t even bother to call around and get a second opinion the price was just shy of 2000. I was called and the following day to test drive the vehicle on the trail better than new. He allowed me to split up the payment over two weeks. I huge help. No interest charges and no storage fees. I have had the vehicle a week. And it is driving very well as it did on day one. They really just don’t make mechanics like this anymore. Highly highly recommend these transmission mechanics. Super happy with the work done.
These guys know what they are talking about I called them with a problem with my 518 automatic transmission With a line pressure Solenoid I am transmission fluid and they figure the problem out within three minutes on the phone with me explaining it to them and they ordered the parts for a really good price that I couldn’t beat anywhere else Plus their labor is really set at a great price
I had to return to their shop after I starting having problems with my transmission shuddering as it shifted. The problem was that they had rebuilt my transmission 10 months earlier. I was expecting a big fight over the warranty I was given after the rebuild, or perhaps even some excuse to charge me something to recoup their expenses. What a wonderful surprise for them to have stood behind their work and honored their warranty without question. In fact when I called and didnt show they followed up with me the next day just to make sure I didnt need roadside assistance. Good old time mechanics that give a darn to care for their customers wellbeing. Their honesty and great work will keep me a customer for life. Here she is looking and driving better than ever.
Horrible experience with this place. Would never recommend. Find another place to take your vehicle. They will do nothing for you vehicle and you will end up being out of more money than the transmission is worth. Took my jeep here and they tried to refuse allowing me towing it to another shop claiming they would fix it after over a month of getting no where talking to them. The person you talk to will never actually be there, you will pay this other guy. Unprofessional. I was out more money to them than it cost to actually fix my transmission. Run away from them as far as you can. Dont even consider them as an option. Save your time and your money for a place that will actually work on your vehicle and actually care about providing great service.
Update:The road trip went very very well. No drivebaility issues. I did however get a check engine light just last week. Thought it was related through the transmission repair since that was the last major work I had done. I brought it back in the technicians at Lifetime confirmed that Transmission was good. Rather I had a throttle body issue. They removed it and cleaned it for a service fee of $75. And the issue is completely gone. Thanks againTook my car to another shop for Tune up & I was informed that my transmission needed to be replaced due to communication error w/ my cars computer module. I knew my transmission was okay, but had a BAD feeling telling that shop to fix it. Went to pick up my car and THEN my check engine light was on... was not on when I dropped if off for Tune Up. Brought my car to Lifetime Transmissions.... We waited about 45 min for diagnostic which resulted a computer module issue.. We had plans to leave out of town in exactly 7 days. Computer module was done and Tune Up. Picked up car day before we take off. My husband picked up the car and said it ran fine for few miles than seemed to stall as if car want to turn off... Drove around some more and absolutely no issues at all. We just figured with new computer module, spark plugs, coils and so forth just kinda needed to sync or break in a bit.... Drove the car all the way to Florida, stayed for a week and back with no problems. Car runs like new. We are really happy with their work, Josh answering and returning all our calls, he was detailed in explaining thing to us and very patient. He was not pushy at all and I felt that we would be in good hands! So glad I went with my gut a had 2nd opinion, save us lots of money and valuable time. Thank you guys! My Navigator thanks you too
Great warranty and great service there was a delay on parts but don’t think I can blame that on them!
Needed new brake pads and wheel bearing. I got same day service that was quick, efficient and well done. Would completely recommend. They do house calls, so I didn’t have to leave the house! Took all of an hour. Professional, courteous and quick!
Do not go here. You will not get your vehicle fixed and they will illegally hold your vehicle hostage. The owner is about to end up in prison.
Michael, thank you so much for being honest & courteous. I am relieved my Murano wasnt having transmission problems, but happy to know a great place to take it if it were. Thank you for recommending Sonic auto, they took great care of me for a very fair price! You are a stand up guy. Will be referring anyone that needs transmission repair or even just an honest diagnostic on a car problem. Directly to you guys. Thanks a million.
Help me get my Mercedes Benz reprogram! Thanks so much
First let me start by saying AVOID THIS SHOP BY ANY MEANS. Michael told us it would be $450 and would be ready in a week. Fast forward 2 months, still no car, repair costs are now $2059 and car STILL NOT REPAIRED. Another week passes. Transmission still not fixed and the headache of dealing with him is not worth it!!UPDATE : There is a Facebook page about this transmission shop. There are hundreds of people who have been scammed by this man.
We are not from Houston. We were traveling from Dallas to Houston for the weekend simply for a childs baseball tournament. On this last Saturday we began to have lights flash on the family Chevy Tahoe. To my horror it said transmission malfunction!! Just my luck the husband is at home with our other child and here I am in another city hundreds of miles from my lifelong trusted mechanic. I called 2 or 3 different garages. This was the only place that gave me information on what could be wrong and what fixes were possible for the family car, rather than the other garages that made me feel they were going to hold me upside down until all the change was out of my pockets. Long story short. they scanned it and saw it was a sensor. Spoke on the phone with my hubby to get him up to date. Let us buy the sensor at the dealer with their discount. $150 of labor and 2 hrs later we are back at our tournament. Thanks so much for giving us quick accurate service. I will certainly let all our other baseball travel families know there is a shop we trust in Houston. Thanks again
If you EVER want a working transmission skip this place and move on to the next place. My husband and I believed the fancy website and talk from “mike” My car was driven very rarely due to having a company car..... and not even a year later the transmission is magically broken the exact same way it was to begin with when I took it there. So I took the car back because it has a lifetime warranty. He decided he would go ahead and take apart the transmission with out permission. I only acknowledged I received his document I never signed that he could do anything or that I would pay him for taking my trans apart which technically should be covered by his “warranty” because the warranty covers all labor! It only doesn’t cover parts. So now he has my suburban and is holding it hostage over what he decided I needed to pay 580 after I paid 3000 for it to be fixed the first time! If you want to see your car again keep looking! BBB will not help you. His other shop was closed down because he was doing the same practices there! Please learn from our mistakes! Do not go to lifetime transmission! Do not trust Mike or Sal or the other names he hands out!
Just picked up my 06 mustang and i couldnt be happier. These guys completely rebuilt my transmission and they did it for half the price that i was quoted at the Ford dealership. Michael and the crew at Lifetime Transmission Repair in Spring, Texas were in constant contact with me while my car was there and they stuck with the price i was quoted at the beginning. Highly recommend for any transmission needs, questions, repairs. Just darn good mechanics who know their stuff and treat you fairly,
THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM. THEY WILL LIE AND TELL YOU ALL THE GOOD STUFF YOU WANT TO HEAR JUST TO GET YOUR CAR IN. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR CAR THEY WILL STOP ANSWERING THE PHONE FOR DAYS/MONTHS. IF THEY DO ANSWER ITS ALWAYS A EXCUSE.THEY QUOTED ME $800 TO FIX MY CAR THEN ONCE I SIGNED THE PAPERWORK OVER THE PBONE AND SAID IT WAS A ONE DAY JOB. LONG STORY SHORT 2 MONTHS LATER CALLED WITH A $2800 BILL. I DONT RECOMEND ANYONE USING THIS SHOP. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
After losing my downstairs and two cars to Harvey, I was relieved and gratified to find such professional and honest people to work on my car. I was sent to Lifetime transmission from my favorite Jag Service Manager Kevin who normally works on my 2012 Jaguar transmission. I had great service, they sent a towing guy to get my car, and were able to get my car back to me in two weeks at a very busy time for all of us. Danny worked tirelessly with my warranty company, and,in the end, got all the work covered (4000.00) except my deductible. They fixed my transmission, and they gave me a lifetime warranty on the transmission. I, too, am a lawyer, and business owner, and I had a very positive experience with Gil and Jose and thank them for their excellent service.
Michael and Garcia truly amazing to work with! Best mechanics ever. Our son was traveling from Austin to Houston for a flight for an interview when his transmission started to act up We did a quick search for transmission specialists in our area. We did our research and decided to call Lifetime Transmission Repair in Spring,Texas. We saw their hours to be 24/7. Michael answered after 9 pm on a weekday. He gave our son advice on how to drive the vehicle safely home and to minimize damage to the transmission. He even called our son back twice to make sure he was ok. Got him a ride to the airport too. We were kept informed every step of the way with our sons transmission repair. It drives better than new. We did price compare, and I can say they are not the cheapest, but definietely a fair value. And the lifetime warranty was a must for us. The most knowledgeable transmission guys we have ever spoken to. And just darn nice people too!!
I cant begin to explain how great Lifetime transmission is, they worked very fast and efficiently. They were accommodating to all my car needs and the best part are the prices, not lowest prices in the area but a fair price after shopping around and an unmatched warranty . Im very happy with the service and Mr. Gil is a very professional man, very understanding very good heart man. I highly recommend Lifetime Transmission. Thank you for taking care of my car.Im so lucky to have found this place!
STAY AWAY 2000 later still no truck excise after excise micheals real name is sal Ruiz HES GOT 18 BBB COMPLAINTS HES A LUAR AND A THIEF STILL NO TRUCK FIXED AND NOTHING BUT LIES
Beware, Sal Ruiz, also known as Michael Martinez, or whatever other fake name he creates is a con man. Do not be lured in by his fancy website or promises of free or low-cost service or diagnostics. He will hold your vehicle hostage and demand payment in cash because he’s afraid of credit card disputes (likely due to scamming past customers who have disputed charges). A little internet research will reveal multiple legal claims, some of which are outstanding because he gives out fake names to shield himself. Run away and find a reputable shop. This isn’t one.
I work on automotive repair and I have a customer with a shift solenoid b code coming on. I call Michael and he was fantastic with his knowledge on my issue with the A650e transmission on a 03 Lexus LS430. His customer service is fantastic, I called 3 transmission shops in the area who refused to help me and he found the accumulator for me and also gave me the suppliers phone number for the near future. Bottom line is this is my new go to guy on my transmission needs. Thanks Brother!
They cant ever meet a dead line. He tells you it will be done in 2 days. Then it turns into 2 years. No joke. He has had my truck for 2 years off and on.
Horrible experience, will not go back, steer clear from this Scamming place!
By far The Most knowledgeable repair shop I have been to in quite some time. Right off the bat you can tell these guys know cars. In speaking with Micheal with lifetime transmission repair of Spring Texas. He earned my business because I could tell from our 15 minute conversation back and you just about everything there was to know about the transmission in my GMC truck. He explained it is a four-speed automatic. That the torque converter is the most important part in the entire transmission. He even gave me a rundown of some of the common problems. Apparently there is what is called a drama back cracks it holds your second and third gear clutch discs. And then he also explained that in the automatic transmission the torque converter will overheat and fail from overuse. Because it is used in the changing of every gear and Automatic transmission. He gave me all these possible scenarios for transmission repair. Yet still was willing to start with the basics of pre-check up to check for leaks scan the computer and possibly change out the transmission filter. If the transmission filter did not correct the issue there would be no charge. That told me he was a straight shooter from there. At the end of the day I did end up needing the tour converter and the rebuild kit. It was definitely not the cheapest quote for transmission repair that I got. And it was certainly not the highest. But a very fair value. And an amazing lifetime warranty on the entire transmission repair. I have not met a mechanic that Knows his craft so well as the technicians at lifetime transmission repair in Spring. These are my go to guys for transmission repair. Great customer service.
Total scam, total fraud, For God sake do favour to yourself. He talks very sweet put you in the trap and then then you are stuck, cannot get your vehicle back from this garbage place, no mechanic shop just yard no tools in the barn.Anytime went to pick up the my car some body waiting for the Police for help. This place is Scam, fraud.
Took forever and was way too expensive. Do not recommend
Well, lets start by saying that I almost bought a new car. I had a transmission and clutch problem with my 04 Ford Mustang.Took it to a few other mechanics that stated to replace it. One mechanic quoted to include a new engine! A few months went by and it had to be God sent, as I searched the web and called LIFETIME TRANSMISSION! They had my car towed and called me upon starting repairs which consist of the clutch, bearings, bushings and pressure plate. This is where I met Mr. Michael in which he always kept me in the loop of what was going on at all times! Nevertheless, my car was saved, as I did not need a new transmission, nor a new engine. If you want dependability, courtesy, honesty and fair pricing call on Lifetime Transmission 4419 Spring Cypress!! Thank you Mr. Michael and you crew!!
Wow....Just Wow!! My son had a headlight out and I had zero time to deal with this problem. I called Gil who had recently put in a transmission in another one of our trucks. He said bring it on by and I was there within a half hour. He personally went out and replaced the bulb and then cleaned the headlight that was fuzzy!! The charge for this amazing and unbelievable customer service???? Absolutely zero.....he did not charge me a penny. I am so grateful to have found these awesome mechanics and will undoubtedly be back again and again because they are amazing and I have a lot of cars!!!
