This is such a cool place. So many books. Expansive collection. Great prices.

My son and I needed to get a book for summer reading. He is not a reader unless he has to read for school. He likes military history and Good Books in the Woods has a great selection. After we paid for the book and were getting in the car, he said he wants to go back and look around soon because it is a cool shoppe. So excited he wants to go back! Thanks for having a cool shoppe!

Hidden gem. Dont be fooled by the outside. This bookstore is huge and filled to the brim with awesomeness. Just parousing the shelves was fun. Definitely worth checking out.

This is the kind of used book store one could spend hours in wandering around.... and great for gifts. Our sons bought my husband seven WW2 books.. and once he finishes those we will be back for more. House has been converted to bookstore, so lots of little room, cubby holes, stairs to more book... happy place.

Great place to find little treasures. Proprietor was friendly and helpful! Ample parking in the back. Its a cute little home turned into a book shop.

Wonderful used bookstore with a lot of character. It also has a large selection of used books and not all the same stuff you see in many other used bookstores.

What a gem! This is a little house that has been converted into a bookstore, most of the houses on the street have been converted into businesses and I loved the atmosphere! The prices seemed fair and there was a good selection. The owner seemed nice and helpful.

Adorable bookstore in a house setting. The entire 2 story house is a maze of bookshelves one could easily get lost in. Add all the comfy seating through and you could spend hours here. The owners are also very knowledgeable about their inventory.

I was surprised when I pulled up and the business was in a house. The owner was pleasant and the store seemed to have a large variety. It was nice and tidy. He helped me find was I was is search of and I was able to make my purchase quickly.

Really great place! Even though I know the surrounding area pretty well, I wasn’t aware of this shop until I came across it randomly on google. I had a great time looking through all the history books they had and exploring the different sections. I also had a very pleasant conversation with who I believe was the owner. I’ve told my friends about this place and I plan to go back soon.

Very clean and well organized! Easy to find just about anything you are looking for. Very comforting atmosphere, makes you just want to sit and read! Staff was super helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be going back and would recommend to everyone loving books!

Very good! If your looking for something older, or are a collector is suggest taking a look. Just as you walk in there is quite a selection of antique books. The store is much bigger then it looks and extends through the entire home. Quite a fun hole in the wall find!

Really nice, cozy bookstore built into the home of the owner. Excellent prices on used books and DVDs. Huge library of rare and collectable books. Friendly service and quiet bookish atmosphere. Come in and chill, read, or just browse.

Such a well-cared for bookstore! They have a wide selection of well-chosen and organized books. The atmosphere is extremely warm and cozy. The converted-house layout of the building itself makes it very fun to explore the various rooms and sections. At the same time I found it easy to locate the sections I was most interested in. I spent an hour and a half exploring the lovely books they have and I could easily spend many, many more Saturday mornings here! This is the perfect happy place for book lovers!

Quaint little house-converted book store that had no shortage of interesting books and rarities. The walls are lined with classic gems and beloved books. This is an excellent little gem! Theres quite a collection of books of all kinds and genres and a nice selection of bargain books as well. Its a cozy place with comfy spots to sit and many rooms to explore. The man working there is quite friendly and is happy to help anyone who needs it. I will definitely be visiting again!

I hate going to this place because I always spend money. I feel lucky if I get out of there for less than $200

A great place if you are looking for books on a specific topic. I have not explored the fictional books. The owner is super helpful. Prices are extremely reasonable. Very friendly and helpful owner. Has website with all of his books listed, sends books all over the world. My husband picks out books he wants, I give my kids the list, they call or go online and order, since Im local, I go and pick them up.

Absolutely the best bookstore I have ever been to and I have been to many. Fabulous selection of new books, first editions. Extremely clean and well organized. The owner, Jay is very nice and let’s you browse undisturbed. I would highly recommend this bookstore.

Clean and well-organized, with a personable ownership. A friend complained to me about the prices, and yes they are slightly higher than some used book stores, however if I were to take equivalencies on Amazon and then pay for shipping it would come out the same. So once you factor that in and that you are supporting a local bookseller, this place is a favorite.

This store is hidden in The Woodlands area, but worth the effort to find. Endless rows of books, and the gentleman who runs the store is very nice. I brought my niece in to the store, and he took a lot of time to help her find a specialized book. Very customer-centric.Hard to find good independent book stores like this one - especially one with a cool dog roaming the shelves.

Missed the dog, how ever the owner answered our phone call within three rings, much better than a big brand book store, he had the time co clean up a mess my son did with the dogs water with out a bad attitude, helped my kid find an specific themed book, while helping me even with my thick accent he was patient.As far as the store, it has a good selection of grown ups books, philosophy/religion, science and fiction were the areas i was focused on, with a stumble to the bargain section with interesting titles and took one i would not normally done.My family and i will be back and i will tell my friends about it

Loved it. The books! You wouldnt believe some of the books they have in that spot. The location is off the feeder road on the next block over from the feeder which is residential, its a little odd, but worth it. 🍷📖📚

The owner and his wife were wonderful, warm and welcoming people. They have a beautiful location with books that cover wide variety and genres of books, old and new. Absolutely wonderful experience.

This bookstore is not worth the time if you just want to browse for good books! The main concern seems to be maintaining an image that they only sell rare books. I only found a few shelves of rare books. Other books are overpriced, usually by double the competitors. I wopuld only suggest shopping here if want a specific title that only they seem to have. Be aware, also that you will be greeted by a nervous, barking, medium sized dog upon entering the shop.

From the serene environment to the dog that greeted us at the door (and the very helpful owner) this is the best bookstore Ive had the pleasure of stumbling upon.

I was a bit uncomfortable with the feeling of entering someones house (the shop is set in a home building) but once I made my way in I was more comfortable. They have an excellent selection and the owner was very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for.

A place off the beaten path where rare and often highly valuable classics and hardcovers have found a temporary home. The place is a maze that -- if I ever had the time -- I suppose I would enter and not be heard from again for days or even weeks. Now, thats just me as an individual...As a business, I have enjoyed partnering with GBITW so much that my artwork remains there displayed on consignment. I absolutely recommend GBITW without reservation to any and all book lovers. If books are your drug...GBITW is the place to binge.
