I had been looking for a John Deere zero turn mower to mow a 4-6 acre track. I contacted Brookside Equipment in Spring, TX and spoke to Serafin Merlán, in sales. I had purchased equipment from Serafin in the past and he was always attentive, professional, and knowledgeable about John Deere tractors and mowers, grapples and other related equipment. After listening to my mower needs, Serafin recommended I consider a Z900 series mower. In addition to a complete line of new mowers, Brookside happened to have a 2019 Z960M with a 72-inch mowing deck that was recently traded in. The previous owner decided he needed a John Deere Gator more than the Z960M. Serafin highlighted the features and operations of the mower and allowed me a test drive. I decided to purchase the mower and brought it to the ranch. I have used the mower on a couple of occasions and it is an outstanding mowing beast! I would highly recommend doing business with Brookside Equipment in Spring, TX. Serafin was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Thanks for your service.

Serafin Merlan took great care of me!Serafin helped me pick out a John Deere mower that would last longer than a Home Depot mower. He took his time and explained why the S240 was a better investment than the Home Improvement store mowers.Brookside Equipment delivered my mower a week after I bought it, and Serafin handed me the keys himself. I am glad I bought from a dealership as they gave me a fair rate, they have the parts and knowledge on hand to quickly repair issues, and financing was able to be done through John Deere.5 stars! Cant wait to mow!

John Deere, Brookside Equipment and Sales is the best! I have done business with them for several years, and have recently increased my inventory to a zero turn, and 1023 tractor. It is always a pleasure meeting my sales agent Andrew Hartnup, he is always knowledgeable, kind, professional, and polite. Andrews exceptional customer service skills keeps me coming back. I feel appreciated each time I come. The shop is always clean, and equipment readly availability. T-Bo, (parts clerk), listens to my request and skillfully helps me identify the parts I needs, (whick I often get wrong when I explain). I want to also commend the receptionist, Dawn. Big shout out to Andrew Hartnup at the Spring location!!!When my wife and I arrived he took notice immediately and offered help. We went there to compare lawn tractors and he provided us with ALL the information needed to make the right choice. In fact he was able to follow us home to deliver the X584 right then. He made sure we knew how to work it and was comfortable with the mower BEFORE he left.Thanks again Brookside and Andrew.

I found all the parts I needed for my John Deere tractor at the first time I called.The staff was very nice and they had my parts waiting for me at pick up time.Seems like their stock is very well supplied, because one of the part I needed it was hard to find and the had it on stock.The dealership is very convenient for me, not that far from home.Rudy at the parts department was very helpful in finding my parts.

I was supposed to get my mower delivered on Dec. 18. I never heard from them. I spoke with John Deere corporate and they said the machine was delivered to the Spring, TX location on Dec. 14. I called 3 times on the 18th and they finally told me they located the mower but it was damaged and the new expected delivery date would be Dec 22 or 23. Today is the 24th and I never heard any update about the status of my machine. The communication is horrible.

I went into Brookside Equipment on yesterday unlike all the other stores the staff was horrible. I walk into the store and Noone spoke or ask can I help you. I stood there about 8 minutes and the staff never said one words to me, as soon as this other guys walks in the lady at the front counter ask are you here to pickup some parts or how can I help you. I have been to several Brookside store and have never had this type of service. I left the store and drove across town to the west road store and a completely different staff. This store is closer to me but I will never go there again.

Absolute nightmare!I have dealt with the Spring location in the past on ordering parts and had no issues or problems in getting what I needed in a timely manner. I am a retired homeowner in early 70s with a John Deere Z235 lawn tractor and I recently broke the deck lift cable and after researching on line how to replace I decided I did not want to spend the one day or perhaps two days to replace myself so I called Brookside. Nothing terribly complicated to fix, but I did not feel like fooling with. That was a terrible mistake. If you have money to throw away and can wait an extended period of time then Brookside is your place to go to for repairs. They picked up my lawn tractor on Jan. 29 . My tractor was delivered back on Feb 13, but when I went to use it I discovered that it was not properly fixed, so I called them and they picked it up again on Feb 14. The tractor was finally delivered back to me on Feb 28. In between those days I was repeated promised possible completion dates that never happened. On top of that my total cost to Brookside wound up being about 5 times what I estimate it would have cost me to fix myself. Absolute nightmare and never again.

Blake Roder is excellent to work with and always takes the time to take care of any need I have or help me with buying equipment. He understands the equipment very well. Kevin Schmidt also does excellent work in the service of my equipment and takes great care of customers. We recently bought an X584 lawn tractor. This is our second John Deere lawn tractor with 4 wheel steering. We have a sloping lot with numerous trees and tight spaces making steering and traction important. The tractor is easy to maneuver without leaving tire marks or uneven mowing. Thanks to Blake Roder and the Brookside team for a great sales experience.

We have a mower that went in for service for an issue with the battery. They fixed the mower and got it back to us quickly which was great but heres the really great part. Another similar issue popped up about a week later and Kevin, in the service department did not hesitate to make sure that we were completely taken care of. Within a couple of hours they were here to pick up the mower. Not long at all had passed and Kevin notified me that the issue was repaired at no cost and the mower will be delivered back to us next day in the morning. Now that is unmatched customer service. Amazing!!! Thank you guys!

I purchased a zero turn mower with Brookside Spring TX location. My purchase experience was good up front in April, but the servicing after the fact had been poor. With less than 100 hours of use, the deck belt broke. I brought the mower in to get the belt replaced expecting a positive experience. They explained the belt was not covered under John Deere warranty. I explained to them the value of doing the right thing and if they expect the belts to last less than 100 hours for mowing a residential yard. Of course they expect it to last longer!In short, I was charged for the new belt and I’m highly disappointed that they would do so after a mower is 3 months new and used less than 100 hours. The folks working the floor have no authority to do to right thing for customers and just replace the product.Cornelius Bielamowicz, is this what you envisioned as good customer as the owner of Brookside?Happy to field a call from any manager of the store that cares to make this right.

Went to Brookside Equipment to check on a Stihl hand-held gas blower. Serafin helped me by showing me two different models. I decided to purchase the Stihl BG56 C-E model. When I got home, I started the blower using the easy starting system. It worked great on gathering all the leaves on the yard. I enjoy doing business at Brookside Equipment. I have purchased other equipment there including a John Deere X300 riding mower. I have always received excellent attention from their Sales, Parts, or Service Departments. Definitely geared more toward the professional rather than the homeowner. I found both the service and parts people extremely helpful with helping me keep my machine running. I bought the lawn tractor second hand from a man who refurbishes used equipment, so my tractor has a mix of parts on it. The parts staff has helped me get the correct parts, even going so far as to look up the interchanges that the man I bought it from had made. Furthermore, their prices on JD factory parts are substantially less than on the JDParts website.I will continue to use these folks. I must admit that their hours (especially the winter hours) are, at best, inconvenient. However, the caliber of support I have received overshadows this.

So I have a 2305 Tractor. Called the spring store and they said it would be the week after next before they could pick it up. about that amount of time they came and got it and after getting it back said it would be another week before it was looked at, after that week they said another week and a half. Finally I told them to bring it back and not to touch it I was fed up the endless delays just to take a look at it. They called that Monday and supposedly had looked at it on Friday. The tractor needed a fuel injection pump and 5000. yes 5000 dollars would fix it. Possibly a rebuilt pump option but they did not know. Again they were told to bring the tractor back. After some e mails they decided to not charge me for diagnostic and would have it back by the next Friday. They did bring it that Friday. I pulled off the hood and checked it out finding a fuel smelling sweet not like good diesel. I drained the tank put in fresh fuel and the tractor started and runs perfect.Brand new this was a 12,000 tractor package that included the tractor, front end loader, bush hog, box blade, post hold digger and the 16 ft trailer. Who pay 5000 for repairs on a piece of the package costing 12,000. Only to find out it just needed new fuel. I am super mad at this dealership and John Deere as there is basically no options on any website to make a complaint. The rep for Brookside was sorry and this was a great location for service. Not for me it wasnt

I will never make a purchase from Brookside again. I placed an order on John Deeres website to pickup at Brookside. The price of the part through the website is $27 which is in line with all other sources I found. My father went by to pickup the part only to be told they never received an order even though I did receive an order confirmation email. I thought no big deal I just texted the part number to my father and told to make the purchase and I will pay him back. Well when he got to my house and gave the the invoice we were charged over $40 for the $27 part. I have to believe they had the order but didnt want to sell the part for that price. Very dishonest.

Wow, how does a company like this stay in business when they treat their customers with such disdain. Their website and answering machine both said they were open until 6pm today (Friday) but I could not raise anyone on the phone at all. So I drove over and got there at 5:00pm and it was a ghost town, they must be going out of business or were shut today; very strange way to deal with the public. Btw; I called every single store looking for a human to speak with, no answers! Then I tried their 800 number...and it is a disconnected number. Brook side, you need to get your act together, if this is how you are before a sale, I shudder to think how you will be after the sale! I will try again next week because they are closed on Saturday, when most customers have time to visit, but anyway, the customer is not who is important it seems with this outfit. If they turn out to be even remotely good I will remove or update this review. Stay tuned people!
