I called to find out if they do pin and weld. The lady that answered the phone was a bit snobby but I figured she may be having a bad day. Then I ask her if they use jb weld or actually tack weld it, she very rudely said she didn’t know like that was the end of the conversation. No attempt to find out, no transferring me to someone who would know. It’s like she couldn’t be bothered to do her job. I even asked if she could transfer me to someone who would know then she hung up. How is this company still in business? This is the person you have answering your phones? Someone with ZERO customer service skills. This isn’t the first review like this and not everyday can be a bad day for the person talking to your customers. Don’t go here. I know there not getting my business.
Ive had 2 custom rifles built there. First was a 7STW Ultra light. Groups 3/8 of an inch all day long. Its the most accurate belted mag I have ever owned or seen. The second is a 220 swift single shot bolt action built out of an XP 100 action. Its a one hole rifle at 200 yards! Are the fastest Gunsmiths in the world .......no. Took a year to complete each one. The fit and finish on each rifle is spot on. You cant get the accuracy and finish like that by wanting a fast job. I would and do highly recommend these guys. And will have more rifles built there.
Hey! I had a live round stuck in my rifle. The primer had been punched and the round did not go off. It was the wrong caliber for the rifle. Lesson: Look at the round before loading it. I brought it in. Two minutes later, it was handed back to me, in working condition. I met Bob and we talked. Much depth of knowledge. If they had coffee, Id hang out there. I feel at home there. They now have all of my smith work. If I win the lottery, theyll build my rifle(s). Good stuff guys.
MG Arms has done work for me with great quality craftsmanship that look awesome and shoot great. I have also had a couple of major repairs done that we nothing short of amazing. I have always been very pleased with their work and professional and friendly service. In reading a few of the reviews it shows me that pleasing the public is never easy and people are always in a hurry. Maybe we should have started the project several months ago to complete on time.As for me I can wait on the staff at MG Arms to build my perfect custom rifle and I know it will be exactly as I specified. I highly recommend this custom builder and trust them 100%. Thanks to all if the staff at MG Arms for your great work!!!
I have had a few rifles(Rem 700 300win & Rem 541x 22lr.) worked on at MG ARMS and they have been nothing but professional. I am very picky about who does my work because the level of accuracy i demand from my firearm. They have helped me achieve that accuracy by doing top notch work. If you are looking for a gunsmith that is true to his trade, look no further. The completion time is typically quicker than my previous gunsmiths. It has been a pleasure dealing with MG ARMS and they will keep getting my business along with all my shooting buddies.
They fixed the trigger on my Ruger. Quick turnaround. Had to wait a few days but it was worth it. You cant rush quality work.
Came in to free float my barrel on my AR, basically just install a new gas block and the new hand-guard, just an hours worth of work since I already took off the old parts but no. It took them 2 weeks to get done with my rifle, I understand there might have been people ahead of me but come on its just 45 mins to get done. Worst part is when I finally got my AR back the work was not up to scratch with things not being aligned properly. The whole experience left a lot to be desired, defiantly would NOT RECOMMEND.
Yeah idk who that is on their phones but she really needs to take the thorn out of her butt. Any time I call to ask some questions, its like pulling teeth with her. Shes always snappy and has a disgusting attitude. Terrible customer service. Go elsewhere for your gun needs.
Hod a barrel threaded & a trigger job done, They did a great job no complaints. fair prices friendly service will use again.
I brought in a Sig P-226 for new night sights to be installed on the pistol. I expected a professional installation by a qualified gunsmith. What I got back as a finished product looked like it was installed by a impatient kid with a hammer and a punch, instead of a professional gunsmith. The side of the front sight dovetail was bent, scratched and misshaped and the factory finish was chipped off. Six days after I picked up my weapon the new front sight quit glowing (no doubt due to the damage inflicted on it by the installer), now only the rear sights work. The owner of MG Arms, will not speak to me on the phone (always too busy), or he is gone on a trip, etc.,etc. also commonly known as B.S. !! I have two other Sigs that I needed the same thing done to them, sent them both back to Sig Arms -returned- Perfect, totally professional installation on both weapons. And the two ultra light rifles in .270 & .308 along with (1) Rem. 700 light weight replacement stock that I wanted to buy will now be purchased elsewhere. The employee at the counter was very nice and seemed knowledgeable, I dealt with him both times I was there. But the actual work product at MG Arms from my limited (1 time) experience is terrible. The lack of interest shown by the company owner is even more telling. He did not even know why I was calling to speak with him, but Im sure that he correctly guessed why. What a shame! I will never go back there for anything. Total waste of time, money, and effort. If you need gun work done. My advice is to go to a professional gunsmith who actually care about their customers because I doubt that you will find that here. I sure didnt.
I recently took my pistol in to have a trigger job done. I stood at the front desk for about 5 minutes before anyone even looked to see that someone had come in. The guy that came over asked what I needed and then took the gun. No Welcome to the shop, no Thank you, no Have a nice day, nothing. I got a ticket and was told that it would take 10 days to 2 weeks and I would be called when it was finished. I was told this 10 day to 2 weeks and we call you when its finished line every time I called or emailed for the next 7 weeks. I drove there to pick up my gun and take it elsewhere and they said they had finished and it was in the back. No call, and again, no greeting. The trigger job was fair. I dont know what all can be done, but I call it a fair job. The customer service there was awful. I will find another shop for my business in the future.
Took rifle in for barrel thread job, was told two weeks, got the call sooner that it was finished. Decent prices, and quick friendly service.
Took in a colt python for a timing issue. Owner said he had worked on them and it would be about 2 weeks dropped off in July.. still not done in December. Told him I would just pick up and take it to someone who knew what they were doing. Got gun back in worse condition than when I dropped off and was charged $85 for labor. Stay away from these clowns!!
They are horrible. I took a shotgun there for mechanical issues and to put new wood on it.I go and pick up and its a different shotgun and they insist that its mine.Never will do business with them again.I wish I knew what to do.
Good service and very friendly. Onsite gunsmithing and custom work.
Great people, love my rifle.
Good professional and great selection
I called to get a price for some work and lady on phone was very rude to say the least. Lost my business for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
