Kohinoor restaurant is easily in the top 3 Pakistani restaurants in Houston. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are nice. Customer service is good too.The food is simply amazing. I had the mixed meat grill and the chicken grill, hands down one of the best I’ve had in Houston. At the start of our meal, they brought out salad with 3 different chutneys/sauces, which were delicious. A few minutes later they also brought out a bowl of onions and achar/pickles, I haven’t had that anywhere else before; but it tasted good and I thought it was pretty creative.I would really ask the owner of this restaurant to make sure the quality doesn’t drop. If they keep this quality, or improve it, down the road it’ll pay dividends. They could easily become a household name in the area. Unlike some other Pakistani restaurants that opened up, had amazing food, but then dropped the quality to save money and eventually went out of business.
Finally The Woodlands have a great Indian restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service was very attentive by Kane. Chicken handi is a must try, also the grilled meats are very well seasoned and just mouth watering. After eating, don’t miss an opportunity to shop at the store connected to the restaurant. They have a big variety of spices, rice, and other Indian specialties. They even have a butcher right in the store, so you can get fresh meat much cheaper than grocery store.
The ambiance of this place is very nice and luxurious. The staff was very friendly and the service was a little bit slow but still good. The grill and bbq items are very tasty! The biryani is okay but I’d recommend the fried rice instead it’s much better! Overall I really like this place and would recommend to friends and family. :)
First time visiting the restaurant and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in! Beautiful restaurant, very clean, especially the restrooms. The food was DELICIOUS! Very affordable compared to the average Indian restaurant and the portions were large. Rosie was our server and she made the experience even more wonderful! She asked if we would like for her to explain the menu, very knowledgeable about dishes and she went above and beyond with her service during our entire visit. We will definitely be back again!
One of the best restaurants in NWH. The food is fresh, delicious, and has authentic flavor. The best customer service ever, very nice staff, they are very welcoming. The restaurant is clean, prices also is reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant for family and friends.
Fresh and tasty food with reasonable price and the dealing is too gud.Really enjoyed its food.
Went to this restaurant over the weekend and did not have much expectations. Happy to report that this is the absolute best Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. The ambience is modern and very clean, the food is fresh and perfectly seasoned and the staff and chef are very attentive and cordial...what’s not to like. Lots of vegetarian options too. No more going to Hillcroft for our Indian food fix. Will definitely be going back again.
It was such an astounding plethora of flavor and smells. Being as this wasnt on the map yet there was No traffic inside except for delivery orders, but it was very comfortable sitting in. They served me water from a bottle, they did not rush me, they explained what my food was so I could appreciate it better, it was conveniently though stealthily located. Highly recommend taking a group here for the sensations. The desert playter is a bit pricey and seems small but Im not mad about itat all; it has such an array of textures and flavors that I took turns savoring each part at an incredibly slow pace given its size. And the decorations were charming, and after I ate there was a Double Rainbow outside. Truly blessed.
Support this place!!!*Update* Finally ate at the restaurant! We went for lunch (it doesn’t open until noon). It was awesome! Big shareable portions. Everything was super delicious. Service was really good. Can’t wait to go back!!!So my least favorite part of living in Spring TX is that there aren’t many interesting places to eat and shop. This place is an interesting place to eat and shop!!!Went today for the first time. The restaurant is currently carry out only. They said the dining room would open soon. I told them that I like spicy food, and the very nice guy working there recommended the Goat Korma. It was spicy and delicious!!! I also got the garlic naan which was good, and larger than most places. The grocery side had a ton of different spices and Indo/Pak foods. Nice produce section too. Meat section is a bit limited, but had fair prices. I also got a few frozen meals that I doubt I could find easily anywhere near by.I hope they make it. Do your part by paying them a visit. I bet you’ll go more than once.
Ambiance and decor is good. Food is extremely spicy. Unfortunately, Indian and Pakistani restaurants believe that by putting tons of pepper their food attains an authentic character. If you do not want to burn your mouth and gut go to a Middle Eastern or Persian restaurant and enjoy great kabobs and salads. Stay away from this place.
It was a good dinner last night with everything good however their French fries just standout. They were like unusually tasty..:). Different then what usually available at other places. Also to mention the server Adeel. He is professional, polite and really knows how to serve the customers. All in all, good experience however the taste may not be for everyone.
Great Indian/Pakistani food experience!! Also very good prices. My new favorite.
Had a fantastic lunch at Kohinoor Restaurant. Started with the Tandoori salad. It was beautiful and so tasty. Not too spicy. Then delivered to the table was a SIZZLING 🔥 plate of Boneless chicken Tikka. Marinated to perfection and again beautifully presented on the sizzling plate. Next delivered was a very large plate of the chicken biryani. So tender and the rice was tricolor and super scrumptious. For dessert we received themost beautiful plate of 5 different pieces. It was unusual and flavor was perfect!! Not to sweet and finished off our meal perfectly. Highly recommend anyone who loves beautiful tasty food to try this local gem in the Spring area. We will definitely be back soon!!
I’ve been to this place multiple times and every time it’s a great experience. I chose to cater food from here for an event. Chef Raees was very patient with me and answered all my questions regarding serving size and prices. Out of the all Indo / pak restaurants in a 30 minute vicinity that I called, this place was the only one that actually cared and therefore they once again got my business. Raees provides excellent customer service. The food tasted great and everyone was asking me where I got the food from. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
Clean Restaurant, Good Customer Service.Brunch Parathas were too doughy, not flaky. Keema & Chick pea curries were very flavorful but too oily. Please reduce the amount of oil & it will be perfect.Parathas do need improvement
I decided to try this place for lunch, and was very impressed. I came in and to my surprise the restaurant was empty. The food was incredible and the service was better. The spice had me sweating but they will accommodate all tastes. The price too was very reasonable for the quality of food that you receive. It is said that we often eat with our eyes and, if this is the case, then I ate twice as the presentation was far surpassing expectation especially given the price. I do hope next time I go to see many more people.
The people are very nice and inviting. We came an hour before closing and they still treated us in a very inviting manner, making us feel welcomed. The food presentation is also very nice along with the foods taste. Overall great experience with the food and great staff. Would definitely recommend.
Three things will make the small business shine from “it’s” competition.1. Service2. Cleanliness3. InventoryThey exceed on all three mentioned above. This was my second visit to the store and it did not let me down. All the involved parties were on top of their business.. Stocking, fixing “some” customers laziness products which they left in a “non” belonging area, and helping customers with their needs as well.Cashiers greet you with smile and say “have a nice day”.. A rare find in a desi type setting. Keep it up!I had the pleasure of interacting with the owner himself, Naushad. He definitely has the customer winning attitude! He was nice enough to offer me “Chai” and extended an offer for juices to my little girls. At this rate, grocery store and soon to be opening cafe will be a big hit.Glad to have them in our area and by the neighborhood.
We went to the restaurant to order to go because no one was answering the phone. I ordered Chicken Qorma and I only had 2 bites because something didnt seem right. My parents finished their plates, started feeling nauseous after about 15 minutes. Needless to say now they are very sick with stomach issues that you can expect from spoiled food. I will be reporting them to the health department.
Overall very good experience. Delicious Food, good customer service and ambience. Happy to see a good quality Indo Pak restaurant in North Houston Area.
One of the best Indian restaurant to dine in. Very nice and clean establishment, food is delicious with great portion. i highly recommend visiting this place and its grocery store right next door.
Nice little shop. Good customer service
We went for the weekend breakfast buffet. The buffet included the usual halwa puri setup with nihari and paya. One star deducted bc only one waitress couldnt keep up and the kitchen was struggling w keeping food refilled. Food was great fresh tasting and flavorful. Wish them the best.
This restaurant is really great! The food was amazing and the service is great! Definitely going back there!
Incredible food that took traditional Indo pak dishes to the next level. The creativity behind each dish was very impressive. Service was great and the owner checked in to ensure that we were enjoying our experience.
Good food very friendly customer service and it’s the real taste of desi good, I love the goat biryani it was very delicious try my friends today also they serve buffet on Sunday for lunch it’s my favorite.
Greta to have a Pakistani restaurant with a good ambience, great service, consistent service and great presentation in North Houston area. Samosas are hands down the best we have tried in Houston. In general all items have been decent, with Daal and chicken chatkhara being the best so far.
I enjoyed my first time going there yesterday and the food was very flavorful and delicious. The comfort of finding an Indian and pakistani restaurant is hard, but I’m very glad I chose and found the kohinoor restaurant was nice and their chairs are comfortable. Absolutely great job!
Super bland no taste what so ever on the chicken Tikka and kabobs. They might have just heat them up from the freezer aisle from the grocery store next door named the same place. I don’t. Recommed
The best chicken Tikka and chicken Malai boti.Goat biriyani best chicken kabob.Must try.
Best Pakistani food I have had in Houston. Usually I try staying away from Pakistani food because they tend to overdo the spicy part. They had it nailed though. The beefi nihari and paye took me back home and the naans and halwa puri was delicious! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend their sunday brunch!
We brought guests from out of town to this restaurant and it was great! We all enjoyed our food and loved everything, and I recommend the chicken grill platter. It was a quiet environment so some music would make it even better. I will definitely return!
We like a lot to go out. Last night we came to this magnificent restaurant which we didn’t know before its near to our home. We enjoyed a lovely evening there with fine meal and an experienced crew and an luxury impressive cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we will surely go again soon. Highly recommended.
Great clean Restaurant with an exceptional service. The owner is very humble and accommodating. Great experience. IFTIKHAR Malik
We have been twice (once for takeout and once for dine-in) and both times the food has been outstanding!! So fresh and flavorful. Definitely will be back!
What a great place! The ambiance is casual, the place is modern and has a traditional touch. Highly recommendations!!!
The restaurant decor is lovely and elegant, the waiter’s are friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and you can ask to turn up the heat level if you like. We loved the goat biryani as the rice was so flavorful and the goat, tasty and super tender. I enjoyed their chana chaat, garlic naan and the okra was terrific. They have a grocery store next door where we shopped for Indian and Pakistani products. Please support this gem of a restaurant and grocery store here in Spring TX.
Service and ambience was great. Food well presented, tasty and delicious. Clean restroom for ablution and waiter guided to a room to offer salat.
We have ordered food from Kohinoor to serve our special guest at our house party. We are so glad that our guest like the food. We ordered Goat masala, Tawa chicken and chicken malai boti and butter naan. We are so surprise that owner told us that they have made a signature Chinese dish just for us which they have not introduced it in menu yet, it was so best dish we had it amongst all items we ordered . I would recommend any one to give them a try, you would not be disappointed. although their restaurant is not fully operational but they still take orders for limited desi dishes.
One of the best weekend breakfast... you can beat all this for 9.99 fresh nan are served on table free tea .. had amazing time .Finally something nice on north side .. will be coming back definitely.. menu was nehari paya alo tarkari chanay and halwa puri with tea .. place is nice and clean with good sitting area and decor .
Excellent! Loved the sakari mutton dal gosht, beef seekh kabobs, chicken biryani and BBQ kohinoor Chicken boti. Great service, friendly staff.
Good dining experience: don’t let the “next to their grocery store” dissuade you. It’s a modern, trendy atmosphere, friendly and helpful team and tasty food. It’s standard “spicy” level is a little higher than you get at other local Indian restaurants - a plus for me. We were a party of four and had tikka, biryani, fish, wraps, soup, naan and rice - went for it and we’re not disappointed.
It was horrible and tasteless . they only grilled one side of the chicken and it was tasteless and bland never come again the chicken soup was way to sweet and over all 1/5
Our first time eating from her and the food here was not good at all. We ordered the chicken biryani, chicken Tikka masala, chicken 65, chicken karahi, and the vegetable rice. It was all bland and could not eat any of it. The biryani had no spice in it just tasted like plain boiled rice. Will not be eating here again
When I first walked in I was greeted pleasantly. I was amazed by the selection, as Id frequented another establishment further North that didnt have the same array of products. The store is very clean and neat. As a herbalist that works in ayurvedic medicine its great to have a store close that has a few things that I frequently use and is very reasonably priced. I spent $108 and had 4 very full bags of goods. I will be ordering lunch for my staff and me next week!
This place is absolutely one of the most attractive restaurants in the neighborhood. Whenever I come to this place I am exceedingly satisfied. They preserve their high level service and the topmost level of food they provide. You always win with this restaurant. Very recommended.
Excellent Excellent Food and experience. I would say the best restaurants 8n spring, TX
KOHINOOR grocery and Cafe...a well received outpost for major brands spices, seasoning, snacks (not snakes...lol), condiments, ready made entrees, soups and noodles, fresh produce, even PAN..w all essential goodies to fill it with...BTW....i have suggested that they need to stock fresh Kattha and Chuna...Katechu and CaCO3...frozen goodies like kulfis and all desi brand ice creams..fresh veg.samosas..the complimentary tea is delicious. Ambiance is plenty. Items are constantly zoned. Energetic staff. I have heard that 2 chefs will be arriving soon from Dubai fir their restaurant...Reception by staff is present. The equipment and the outfit is new. But I am going to suggest... that for a top.stock shelving grocery store, it is essential that a constantly running ceiling fans are an intelligently thought item and it is required here in SE Texas..as we r 🔥 majority of the portion of theyear...w only 2 months of little cold. But the food packages and fresh produce need circulating air. The AC air becomes stagnant, hot air goes to the top parts of the building and it will stale the food packages...so, if this was my place, i would install approximately 20 ceiling fans up above the AC ducts and keep them at medium speed 24/7.Overall, Naushad has done well. During your visit, ask for the complimentary tea.
It would be my third time now to try this restaurant and the people working around here always staisfy me, especially for the service and the food that they provided with really high end restaurant presentation style. A truly wonderful place to find together with your friends or family. Highly recommended !!!
This place is literally the bomb!!!! Everything tastes delicious and was fresh. I was also surprised that we didn’t have to wait very long to get our food. I also appreciate them not being stingy with their delicious sauces they were very generous. Overall I rate this place a 15 out of 15. Definitely recommend!
The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was perfect. The head chef is very passionate about his art and it really showed in the beautiful presentation and delicious flavors. 5 star food with reasonable prices. Will definitely be coming back for more.
Very tasty food although I prefer more flavors on the spicy side. Restaurant is so clean you can see your reflection on the floor!
Just a one time dine in restaurant!!!We always shop at this grocery, today we went out for their restaurant. The food is fairly good but some gravy food are just warmed up when they taste like they are made a week ago. Also, they really need to work on customer service. The staff seemed really rude and just not professional.
Loved the Taste of Goat Mix grillGoat. Chops masala with NaanAdeel beautiful smile face added joy to this restaurantGr8 serviceWill go back again with friends and family.
The meals and service were above my expectations. We surely loved the ambience of this place. Fantastic place to take my family out for lunch.
Delicious food and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this place as it has true authentic Pak-Indo taste.
This lovely little market is PACKED full of everything you need. The prices are excellent and the space is super clean. Fresh meats and fruits/veggies. Plus I love that I can get frozen and dried spices that I cannot find elsewhere OR have to pay 8x the price! The gentleman working offered us tea (it was delightful) and even sent me home with a treat for my birthday. Thank you so much- can’t wait to come back.
Ali has great customer service his restaurant is hot, fresh and very tasty. We also love the stores location and selection. It’s a great alternative to the other halal meat markets that we go to. Very friendly staff and would highly recommend if your looking for something different.
Rosy is amazing and Naushaad is amazing. Kane is super awesome. Great food great service
I had a wonderful shopping experience yesterday at Kohinoor Grocery. I was able to find my items without any trouble. Items were arranged in orderly fashion. Check out was quick.
Amazing service! Went there hoping for a little help building a spice collection to start exploring this type of cooking and received a masterclass education from the wonderful gentleman who runs kitchen. He spent 15 minutes filling my cart with appropriate portions of foundational supplies and then sent me out the door with a free cup of delicious tea. Cant recommend enough. If you want to try to cook Indian dish for the first time, dont waste your time at Kroger, come here for better prices by far on Spices and knowledgeable friendly staff.
My experience in this restaurant is outstanding. The customer service is excellent, and the food is very delicious! I recommend to eat at this amazing restaurant
Hi, Ramadan Mubarak today is my first day this restaurant’s and I had very good service the food was fresh and delicious Masha allah that was best iftarThank you! so much guys.
Went there for the first time for the aftar dinner everything was awesome....the food the presentation and the best thing was their service....the quality of the food was really good..... The sweets were delicious....highly recommended inshallah we will be having another aftar party there soon...
If someone has rated this below 5 stars they honestly shouldnt have a valued opinion anything. I cant be more clear about it, this place is fantasic.
Excellent service.....The best grilled mixed seafood plater with lobster perfectly spiced and generous portions. Thank you khonoor.
You got to try the Food at the Kohinoor Restaurant the best place to eat Indian food out here finally people from Conroe, Woodlands, and Spring now dont have to travel for the good food. This location is a One stop shop for everything. Thank you Ahmed for helping me and finding what I was looking for.
Today my husband and I ate here for the first time. I have nothing but good things to say! The staff was very nice, the restaurant was clean and the food was excellent. We will definitely be regulars!
The only reason I am giving Kohinoor a 4 star instead of 5 is that the manager was not wearing a mask. We, the store staff, and all the other customers had our masks on. They even had masks available at the front of the store. He was eager to help and offered us tea. I felt uncomfortable because he was not extending the one courtesy I expected - to wear a mask. I hope he reads this and is more careful in the future. My husband I went in full protective gear to check the store out and order lunch. The meat department has a window and the kitchen is behind it, so they are not visible unless you ask. The meat department was clean and the person cutting meat wore a mask. The manager came out and took our order up front for lunch. The food was great as you will see below, much less salty and better spiced than from the Indian restaurant where we have been ordering. The saag paneer, tikka masala, Indian spiced rice, and naan were excellent and in large portions. Next time I would ask for all white meat in the Tikka Masala and ask for extra chicken for which I would gladly pay. The naan were large and fresh. It was ready in about 15 minutes. The manager said if we left our phone number they would text us daily specials. I will call ahead and pick up in the future. The store was clean and well organized, and the prices were good. My best buy was a 3 lb. bag of raw almonds for about $10. Indian ingredients were a much better price than the grocery store. Most products were available in multiple brands and sizes. There was some fresh produce and I purchased small speckled Indian eggplants and fresh okra. My husband did notice a fresh mango cake he was interested in was out of date. This store recently opened and I hope they stay open. If you like authentic Indian food in generous portions give it a try.
Amazing food nothing like it in Texas, the owner naushad is very warm & welcoming felt like being in some BBQ restaurant back home. Dont miss on their mutton chops....every item was excellent.....love it!!
The food was Very good, the service fantastic and the prices were amazing. Our new fav!
So excited to have such a well stocked Indian grocery store so close to home! Good, friendly customer service.
This is the place to go (in AM) before they run out of mint :(
Awesome food and awesome people. Very friendly, caring, and just darn good people. The grocery side has a huge selection and great prices. Will be back again soon.
Learn how to respect other people religion, if iftar is free. It should be served on time. Iftar time today was 7:57 and its 8:39, still didnt get my food. Just had to get up and walkout of this place.Respect
Visited a new restaurant in the Spring area on Kuykendahl. We had an amazing experience. We were in need of a genuine Indian/Pakistani authentic cusine in the North. The food was made to its perfection. We enjoyed the aroma and tasted the spices infused in curries we ordered. I would definitely recommend the mixed meat grill, sea food grill, goat and chicken curry. Also make sure you try the Rumali Roti which will melt in your mouth. We were also very happy with the front end staff that provided us exceptional service with a smile. Kudos to all the staff at Kohinoor Restaurant. We will definitely visit this restaurant again. 👍😀🙏🏻
We love this place! Its scrupulously clean, has a great range of Indo-Pak groceries, in addition to some fresh fruit and veg and some Indian local goods (mainly chocolate bars and biscuits). Its a great source for almost any ingredients for Indian cooking - coconut milk, loads of different spices, curry pastes etc - but also has some products Ive had trouble finding elsewhere in North Houston, such as Maggi sauces.Highly recommended!
Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance and food is finger linking delicious and authentic taste.
Great Indian food and my favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Good quality and pricing.
The best Location for the Indo Pak grocery store owner and cashier are always kind to everyone always helpfull to find what you looking for and also their Restaurant Lamb Chops, Shrimp Masala dish is my favorite one and Naan are so delicious you got to try the Food at the Kohinoor Restaurant. One of the the best Restaurant on the North side for people who wants to enjoy IndoPak food. Come and try it it will be worth your trip to Kohinoor. Good Luck to Kohinoor and their team keep up the Good work.
This is best best Indian restaurant to eat your food. Thank you Naushad for recommending me dishes. I like the grilled shrimp and a Boneless Chicken tikka. It was worth driving all the way from Nasa side and also thank you Naushad very very much for making the arrangement of 30 pounds of Halal wings. Naushad is the man you need to see if you need anything for the meat order. Thank you I will be coming back very soon.
Kohinoor Halal Meat & Grocery is a multi-ethnic gourmet grocery store specializing in Indian, Pakistani and Middle Eastern blends and spices. It has a wide array of fresh produce to spices and other groceries.Kohinoor Halal Meat & Grocery has an on-site Butcher to cater to their customers meat needs. Also, there will be restaurant part will be open soon cant wait. Kohinoor Halal Meat & Grocery impeccable customer experience and satisfaction. Their prices are competitive.I highly recommend this service.
Everyone is so friendly always greets you with a smile customer service is excellent and the food is delicioso. Its my favorite store to shop in.
The store is clean and has a great selection of items. The food at restaurant was great! Goat and Chicken was phenomenal. However they only take phone orders and that was not clear to me. So even if you walk in, you cannot place an order. Also there is no printed menu and menu is limited now. No potato dishes were available.
Definitely worth visiting if you enjoy indian cuisine or want to try something new. I had the kohinoor chicken handi dish with biryani rice and garlic naan. The entree sizes are large, can easily share or save for later. Everything is very tasty. Lots of flavor and Indian spices that awakens the taste buds. The store next door has everything you need to make Indian meals at home. You wont be disappointed if you visit.
Loved the hospitality.
Nice sélection of groceries. Reasonable prices.
I bought chicken Briyani last week and thought it would atleast taste like briyani. But it was just plain white rice mixed with chicken and chicken masala. You can feel that the chicken still have that boiled moisture flavor in it. I would never recommend to order that in particular coz they dont know what briyani tastes like.
Very late serving and horrible restaurant and trash foodI would recommend don’t go thereThe Tandoor naan is burned there and the worst place you can possibly imagine to buy tandoori naan
Always had good experience going to the new store. Had an issue with getting wrong type of meat which they cleared immediately. Great staff and excellent customer service.
I tried chicken boti roll & BBQ. It was amazing, it was fresh & serving size was big. A must try!
Much awaited Desi groceries in North Houston. Owners and the staff members are really friendly and will go out of their way to help and make you feel at home. Also with restaurant to open soon, tried their daily to go menu. Awesome taste with very reasonable price.
I love supporting local businesses and I’m blessed to have an Indian grocery store and restaurant to serve the Spring, TX area. Their service is the best in town!!! I also really appreciate how clean and organized the entire store is. We get all of our Indian groceries and all of our meat from them. If you want freshness, this is the place to go!!!
Small grocery store. Good for this community.
It is a good location and saves a lot of time. They have a very nice costumer service and have a clean and organised Grocery. The food is also very great.
