One of my most favorite places to shop! A standout for this region is their sushi -- made to order when youre lucky enough to catch the chef at a time when the sushi station isnt too crowded. The sushi chef is a wonderfully cheerful and considerate man with a talent for making scrumptious treats.I also get a kick out of shopping for wine here. The sommeliers are quick to be helpful and have always pointed me to delicious picks with their recommendations.Finally the bakery staff and checkout crews embody the polite and friendly service ethic of this well-run establishment. Kudos to the management for hiring and training folks who uphold a high standard of customer satisfaction.I always leave with a smile.

First time buying their pizza for Pi [3/14] day. Really good, will buy again. Their pastries are fantastic. Loved their lemon meringue pie. Im a big fan of their macaroons, creme brulee, and cakes. Dorothy Lane is my go-to for desserts. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their produce is superb. I love this store.

Way too expensive! I could never afford to buy there. The store is beautiful and clean. I love that, but if they could lower there prices just a little. I would definitely shop there.

Great pastry selection, good cheeses, deli department would not let me try things! I bought a couple things from them before asking and I was just curious about a $10/lb type of liver wurst, it wasn’t like I was asking for a the most expensive thing on the menu. Their staff member made a face and said “nuh uh” and it sorta soured the rest of my experience. Also their international food selection is only European, very limited south and east Asian goods.

Its been a while since Ive been able to visit the area, so take that into account with this review. But I miss Dorothy Lane so much! Ive been thinking about it and decided to leave a review for them because of how much I miss them. I was lucky enough to work in the produce department at this location (as well as the Washington Square) for a few years, so I got to see the inner workings of this organization and can testify to the quality of their product! Not only did they always order the best of the best, but their staff was also trained to manage quality control on the sales floor like no other business Ive worked for. Dorothy Lane truly cares more about the quality of their goods and services than anything else, and it makes them stand out. They also donated usable waste to the local food banks rather than throwing it all away, which I appreciated. Everything else was composted whenever possible.They spoiled me, and now I miss them sorely. Its hard to find a place like DLM.

Took my inlaws to DLM and they made a grocery list for the next time I go visit! This place never disappoints and I always find something new to try. I highly recommend the Lauras sugar cookies!

Very nice store, as well the people are nice and seem to be good at there jobs. In my experience thus far all products no matter type seem to be fresh! So why the four stars? Its all pricey too. But still a very nice place!

Great, upscale supermarket. Staff is very courteous. Extensive deli with entrees and side dishes to warm up. Two soup bars, sushi bar and pizza. Great gourmet, frozen foods and ice creams. They carry both Jenis and Graeters. Top notch.

Pros. Clean. Friendly staff. Well stocked. Unique and rare selections. It’s nice to just peruse the aisles. Cons. Their paper bags fall apart and staff continues to overfill them. Either double up your bags or don’t overfill them. Super annoying to have your bag handle constantly break on you and I try to avoid plastic. The store is pricey, a bit more so than Whole foods. I avoid buying any produce here due to the exorbitant prices. Produce here is no better than Kroger but 2-3x the price.

Always great. If they don’t have it, you can request it. Great beer and wine selection. Always top notch meats and food in general. If you’re feeling lazy, they’ll grill it for you.

I am mobility impaired. The only handicapped spaces were ordinary sized, so I had to park far away from the door in order to have room to get out of my vehicle. Once inside, there were no riding carts. So I had to schlep back to my parked vehicle without shopping. This is apparently a high-end, elite market for those who pay lip service to social justice issues but dont want to be bothered with them.

I absolutely love this store. The bakery wowwww, deli, and the salad bar amazing. I make frequent trips here!

Just be prepared to spend a little more.

Dorothy Lane Market always has such a great selection of foods. It’s too bad that they are all located in affluent, white neighborhoods.

Great food but pricey. Focus on fresh natural, organic locally sourced food. Soups,stews great as is the deli, grill. Snowville dairy products taste best, used at Boston Stoker at entrance. Bakery, patisserie amazing. Wine tastings availability with good selection, also craft beers. Produce always fresh. Large assortment of cheeses to choose from.

This is a great place to get great food! Their artisan bread is made fresh daily and I can always count on them for fresh, local produce. The meat is also from local farmers who treat their animals humanly, which is pretty cool. Not to mention the staff is super kind :)

Love everything. Healthy Happy place. Love you can stop and pick up fresh salad or any dish really.

Service has been very poor at this location this year. Food quality is still great but service is subpar. Food I paid wasn’t bagged and had to drive back to get them few times. Dessert boxes were placed upside down in the bag so all pretty desserts were messed up. Please bring back more experienced people work in the cashier or meat department. I will start shopping in the Centerville location and hopefully the Centerville location service will be better.

Dorothy Lane Market has the freshest produce. I love their baked goods and fresh meats. Everyone is so helpful and friendly.

This grocery store really tries hard to carry local produce, meats, fish and many other ingredients. Always clean and fresh. Their selection of hard to find items is also very good.Do support this grocery store as we need more wholesome foods.

They have the best food in the area and freshest by far but I also usually stop in for a coffee at Boston Stoker which is 10 times better than Starbucks in a day its also stronger coffee as well so if youre looking for a better cup of coffee that Starbucks bought some so get your place to go and their beans are are roasted within so many minutes of the store so talk about the freshest coffee as well

Bought a box of nut mix which says good until 1/26/2021. When I open it I could tell its not fresh from the smell. All the nuts and sesame sticks tastes rancid and stale. Not happy about this purchase.

I shop here almost everyday (which is was I was so very shocked by how I was treated so poorly today) But today I had THE WORST experience at DLM EVER!!! I love the incense at DLM so I went to buy a few today! I started looking through the essential oils too (wasn’t sure which to purchase but I wanted to use some in my wax warmer) well the worker asked if I needed help and I politely tell her “No thank you” and continue to pick out incense! She then says “we’ll I seen you open that essential oil and smell it so you’ll have to buy it now”! She said it exactly like that (rude as ever) but I still understood and I agreed to purchase it! Continued shopping and I DID PURCHASE IT! Well on the way home it hit me “you never got the darn incense that you came for yo begin with”… I wasn’t too far away so I went back to buy the incense! Well when I get there the same lady was there and as soon as she saw me she instantly said “Is there anything ELSE” with sooo much sass! This time I ignored her because I felt her negative energy immediately (it felt as if I was talked about when I left the first time)! I then go to check out and she walks up again saying “I have two other oils that you NEED to buy too because those were opened too” very loudly and rude (like I said I could already feel her negative energy) I explained to the woman that I purchased the one that was opened (barley opened at all but again I understood and I did buy it)! The woman made such a scene and embarrassed me! I couldn’t believe it! My mother and I both shop there literally almost everyday!! My mother was beyond shocked to! They treated me soooo rudely! I don’t like the whole racial thing but I seriously felt strongly racial profiled today and I’m not saying that loosely at all! There was NO reason for her to be so mean, rude and loud towards me especially after I agreed to purchase the oil! It’s as if she wanted to pick with me for some strange reason! Idk maybe she was having a bad day today but sheesh I’ve never been treated that way at DLM! They usually have the kindest staff!!

Simply my favorite place to shop when Im visiting the Miami Valley area.

I went in for a few vegan grocery items, the selection was subpar at best. Purchased some vegan cheese, the date looked fine. Paid $10 for two bags only to come home, try to make a salad and find the cheese was covered in green fuzz. 😒Wont be back. It was very difficult to find anything in here, the check out was painful, wasnt anyone around to help and when I tried to return said cheese I was told its a pandemic and were not accepting returns.

Its a feast for the eyes when you go into Dorothy Lane market everything is so orderly and beautiful I love the store Ive never gotten anything there that has disappointed its a great place to go specially on cloudy rainy days when you need a little color and order in your life.

Coming from California first time in store shopping for my uncle. I was disappointed by Alan in meat dept seem to be perturbed and actually directed me to the wrong type of meat that my uncle won so I ended up bringing it home and had to go back and return it. Where by chance I met the manager which was most personable and handled my situation on the return. I have to say I did not inform him regarding the misinformation that Alan at the meat department gave me it was unnecessary because he just handled my situation. I should have.I have to say this about the store its no better than any other store that Ive been to other than the manager and the other employees regarding the fruits and vegetables I believe Californias Raleys/ Bel Air has it.Im not sure sure why my uncle likes to meet there other than other places here in Ohio my opinion is its way overpriced for their meat.

The Springboro store is exceptional! I called from out of state about ordering a surprise for my family who lives nearby. The shift manager Brandon referred me to Quincy in the bakery. He was so helpful and had my order all ready and wrapped up beautifully when my niece picked it up, even though it was on short notice and I didnt know exactly what I wanted. Thanks Quincy and DLM!

I was surprised how much I didnt like it because all of their food looks like it could be on the cover of a magazine.But, the chicken salad was so bland. The chicken was good quality but it was flavorless. And, the dill potato salad would have been good but the pieces of potato were huge. What kind potato salad requires you to cut up your potatoes with a fork before you eat it?And the deserts are adorable, but taste bad.The banana foster dessert tasted like banana laffy taffy, and the filling tasted like a weird rum and root beer mix.I paid $45 for all of 6-7 items, and it wasnt worth it.

I only come here to eat sushi and gyoza whenever Im in the mood for it and whenever I have extra money for them as well. I also only come here to buy something if its not available anywhere else as a last resort. Im a loyal Wal-mart shopper myself because they have more affordable prices on everything. From what Ive seen, only the rich and wealthy come here to do their shopping.

Only thing that I can say about DLM is I LOVE THIS PLACE! This might possibly be the best grocery store in America.

I absolutely love Dorothy Lane Market.The quality of the food available is exceptional. The workers are incredibly friendly, helpful and well-trained. DLM is also an incredible partner in the Dayton community. They do so much behind the scenes to support Dayton causes and organizations. Prices are higher than other grocery stores, but you get what you pay for.

This place is magical. Huge bakery, deli, section. Lots of international stuff. Think Jungle Jims without the tourist trappings.

We had fabulous blueberry scones from their bakery. The place is like whole foods but for happy Midwestern carnivores ;)

Its a little expensive for everyday shopping but if youre looking for ingredients for a special dinner this is a great place to look. Their butcher section always stocks USDA Prime beef so on any given day you could choose from Prime cuts of sirloin, tenderloin, ribeye, whole roasts, t-bones, and porterhouse. Their prepared foods are awesome as well.I usually also get a bag of their fresh roasted coffee at the front and theyll grind it to your preferred coarseness right there at the counter for you.

While I do love this store for being beautiful and fun with interesting tempting products, the outrageous prices keep it from being my go-to grocery destination. It is great for special purchases and their bakery is outstanding, but $10 for 5 apples and $9 for a rotisserie chicken, etc. unfortunately does not work for our budget.

Amazing butchers, cut a crown roast for Christmas dinner, it was all done by hand and looks amazing.
