I was passing through Springfield when I got an unexpected flat. I stopped in and the crew was professional and courteous despite me arriving 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday evening. They got me in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. Anthony and the rest of the team (I didnt catch their names) provided great service and if I ever need tire service in the area again Ill be back.

I use Discount Tire all over the US. They always have the tires I need at a reasonable price. Fast efficient service. Their roadside hazard insurance is well worth the little extra, I have never had a problem getting free replacement, no questions asked.

So disappointed in the service I received. The tech entered my new 2020 rogue with dirty greasy hands, took four hours to complete the transaction & there was a hidden instillation fee of $22.00 per tire that I purchased through them I was not told of this charge before hand. They were polite and curious as they stole my money

Always a good experience. This visit unfortunately nothing could be done due to insurance purposes. I didnt realize I had a cracked rim and a thread showing gash on the inside of my tire on that same wheel. 🙄😏

The last time I went to Discount Tire, 5 years ago, I waited 3 hours to get my tires changed with a 1PM appointment. Yesterday, 11/28/2020, I had a 10AM appointment and my Expedition was in a bay at 10:02 and I was back on the road at 10:40! The entire staff was courteous and polite while dealing with all the COVID-19 protocols. Whoever is running that place now is doing a great job and the tire technicians that serviced my vehicle were great!

I had taken my car in for a rotation and balance. Shortly after the state reopened from the lockdown. As I pulled into the parking lot, there was a tent set up with a young man sitting at a table. He approached at my window very polite. I had an appointment there at 11:15am. He checked his list to make sure I was indeed scheduled for that time. He explained to me that I needed to Park in a spot and someone would be with me shortly. Reminding me to please have my mask on. When another young man came out to double check what I was needing and to examine my tires. It was then that he told me that my tires were too bad they were going bald beyond what was safe and that I would not be able to get the rotation and balance because they werent safe that I would need four new tires. I didnt know what to do before talking to my spouse. so I told him that I would have to reschedule something at a later date. As I left my spouse called we discussed it and decided that he had given me a really great deal at $180 for four new tires,plus the rotation and balance. I ran to the ATM in the middle of lunch rush hour on the west side. By this time it was 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I called back to see when I could come back in and they told me I could come right then. The same routine with the young man under the tent, I parked in a spot 10 minutes later the gentleman comes and directs me to drive my car into the garage. I got out of the car I went and sat in a chair under a tree that they had spaced apart for people to sit while waiting on their cars. About 20 25 minutes later the same gentleman told me to go inside and there I could pay, I paid and was out of there within 35 minutes. Everything runs smoothly they were on top of everything everyone that was there waiting seem to be pleased with how fast that they were operating. Outstanding service fast and affordable!

Great hospitality. Everyone always complains that the people working at these shops are too young and no experience. They gotta get it somewhere. They did great on my vehicle. Conversation back and forth with front desk was very helping. The fact I could got see actual wear of the tires I purchased was nice due to the fact the salesmen had them installed on his vehicle also. Ill go back every time like I have been for years. The warranty sells it for me everytime.

Great place to get your new tires. They have a great selection from multiple brands and at various budget ranges. Bought a set of 4 Michelins back in November of 2019 for my daily sedan and recently had an issue with 2 rear tires possibly caused by another local shop, which I would rather not get into in this review.Anyway, they replaced them under Discount Tire extended warranty with brand spanking new ones at no cost to me. They also balanced prior to releasing the vehicle back to me. Both the service writers and technicians were really easy to work with; theyre quote friendly, very accommodating and professional. Due to covid restrictions, they have customers pull the cars in themselves, so they dont even get into your cabin, which was cool with me. I ended up buying another extended warranty, which costs a fraction of the price of new tires. If they ever offer it to you, definitely do take it, if you plan on keeping your car long term (at least 5 years). I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, with no drama or issues from the staff whatsoever.Ive noticed some prices went up a bit over time, possibly due to inflation and rising costs of doing business; however, hope these guys are making more too, for how many people they service daily at this super busy branch, conveniently located near by other shopping attractions.

Today, 1/14/21, I brought in my prized, yet dusty fun car for a set of safe all season tires for the colder months. The guys here were phenomenal. As a part time mechanic, I kept an eye on them to see how they were doing. They were by the book the entire time, prompt, aware, and very courteous. Just sign my name and out the door.Came back at 430pm for the wheel/tire swap and once again, after they listed to my frazzled apologies for not being prepared and other assorted tales, they performed just what I changed my needs to (based on I COULDNT FIND my other new wheel) and once again after another visit and telling of tales, they had me on my way and opened the door for my return tomorrow.I cant say enough about their crew, current and ones who have departed for other Discount Tire Store locations. When I first got in there to get a new tire, everyone seemed confused about who was next, took me a good while before I even was able to speak with someone. Finally, Thomas came out and took a look and said it would take 1 - 1.5 hours. We were on a road trip so didn’t really want to be sitting around forever. Gave them the keys at 1:50, took until 4:25 till we were back on the road. I appreciate that the staff was friendly and that we had no appointment but for it to take an hour over the estimate is unacceptable. Really disappointed, would have just taken it elsewhere if I had realized they were so behind schedule. Felt like a dishonest estimate to make a sale.

I observe the crew working on vehicles changing out tires, repairing tires, and rotating them. These guys were very impressive, working in unison with each other, each knowing what their job was and working fast and efficiently. The crew leader has to be proud on the way these guys work. While towing a U-Haul trailer down I-72, my Trailblazer got a flat left rear tire. AAA dispatched from Springfield to come and swap to my spare. While waiting and looking up where the nearest Discount Tire store was at, a semi-truck clipped the U-Haul destroying the left rear wheel and tire and breaking the rear axle mount. After AAA, U-Haul, and IHP were done, I still needed to get two new tires on before continuing my 1500 mile journey. The team at Discount Tires were great. When I arrived late on a Friday afternoon, it seemed at first that I would be sitting until Monday. Jose stuck with me, worked with me, and made magic happen. His expertise was what I relied on. He knew what tires I needed to be safe, found one on-hand, and could get another over night. I got a room and returned the following morning. Nick expertly changed out the tires and remounted the spare under the vehicle while Jose and I finished the paperwork. They made what was a bad day better with their willingness to help and over good attitude. A hearty thank you for the team at Discount and especially Jose and Nick!

Had a fantastic experience with the crew here! Colton was the gentleman I worked with, I wish I knew the name of the man in the shop that changed my tires; but they were PHENOMENAL!! I still ended up spending a lot less than I thought I would and still got new tire sensors and a warranty for the tires and wheels. Very friendly and professional people!I know that when I need to recommend someone for new tires, its definitely going to be Discount Tire! In fact, I already have; so hopefully my friend will be in there soon!

March 2020: Found some tires online and went in to the store. They didnt have any in stock but ordered them for me. A couple days later I came in, they installed the tires and I was out within 30 minutes. Insanely fast tire installation. Had me pull the truck in and out of the bays to curb virus spreading.July 2020: Picked up a new set of wheels that I wanted swapped out. Guys had me in and out in less than an hour. They brought me back and explained the spacers I had would cause an issue so they removed them. Super easy process and the guys in the shop are top notch.

Went here originally when I first bought my rims to have my tires mounted. Very professional, top notch customer service, and they were very careful to do a good job. I dont know what happened over the yrs, but I was told one thing on the phone, and after traveling over an hr, was told another thing when I got there. Pd for my tires and left. Will not go back again.

Im giving them a three wanted to give them a 5 because as far as service goes they were 5 plus plus if it were normal times. My concern was their mask wearing. Um fellas you gotta do better. I didnt feel safe, i didnt feel safe for your families, now I understand maybe about Calling folks but nurses do it every day. There were several people walking around without mask or down around their necks. I know they are burdensome but thats not a good look Covid is spreading people are dying Do better thats all other than that you were top notch you were kind nice quick and got me in out and on my way but i was fearful getting back in my car because folks in it who not wearing mask. And i just happened not to have my wipes like I usually do

I was here less than a year ago to get new tires. I was quoted approx $600 and ended up paying $900 for 75,000 mile tires. The sum of this dispute was similar to other customers in that I was told I was never given this original quote and essentially was being dishonest.Fast forward to now. Two of the back tires have no tread down the middle after only 35,000 miles. They have been rotated consistently. The man who looked at them said it was from alignment and also kept referring to my husband as boss during this conversation, which I find disrespectful. After speaking to two other tire places, it was confirmed alignment was not the issue. My husband called back and asked to speak to the manager. Because my husband rotates the tires himself and had no proof of service he said there is nothing they can do. Again, it was the customer is always wrong mentality.If they were friendly and apologetic I would be more understanding, but they have been of no assistance to us TWICE and it appears we arent the only ones who have been inadvertently told we are being dishonest. I would think after spending $900+ there they would at least offer a discount or apology for tires that didnt even make it a year.

Had a screw in my tire. They greeted me very professionally and quickly removed the screw, which luckily was just stuck in the tread. They said have a wonderful day and didnt charge me anything! Wonderful service.

Had a blowout on my truck and my tires were worn so I came in to get a new set. Called ahead and they had the tires I wanted in the size I wanted on hand. The price quoted was the cheapest I had found around and they were able to get me right in. When I got there the wait was very short to get the truck in and they even came out and showed me what they had found in my tire that had blown it out because it has surprised them too! I had great service that was very quick. Will be back.

It took me a week to get in, 4 days after my originally scheduled appointment. They said the wheels I ordered online were no longer produced, which is fine it happens. However, I then set my appointment up for 3 days past my original appointment. On the day of this new appointment, I called ahead of time to ensure everything was fine. I was told my wheels never arrived and I should call tomorrow an hour before my new appointment (it was never written down or anything) to ensure my wheels made it.The communication was lacking over there. When my first set of wheels were no longer produced, I was told on the phone that someone else shouldve told you sooner. When they were gauging my tire tread before applying the wheels, I was told yet again oh someone else shouldve told you to come in sooner. One of my tires were low on tread (which I was holding off until I got the new wheels, I overlooked my current tread beforehand), and at no point was I advised to bring my vehicle in sooner or double check my tread before application.I would have overlooked everything if they at least tried to work with me. I told them I was getting tires elsewhere and they still wanted to push their tires onto me. I definitely will not be going back and find someplace else to help with my cars.

I recently made the mistake of going to discount tire without doing my research. Let’s just say I learned a valuable lesson. I have purchased tires for decades for my cars and also as an owner/operator truck driver. My first mistake is that anyone who uses scare tactics to sell you something is someone to run, not walk away from. They did this by telling me that the tire was so bad they couldn’t even put air in it. The tire was well inflated, holding air and the cords were not showing, I wanted it replaced because the shoulder wear had reached a point that made me uncomfortable. The second scare tactic was that if I didn’t use the best tire, I would have poor traction in bad weather. If you are selling unsafe tires then you shouldn’t be in business.The next issue was hidden pricing, a lack of producing a written estimate and acquiring a signature before work begins. Also, I did not see any posted notice advising customers of their legal right to an estimate before work begins as required by Illinois law. They had already done the work before I agreed to the final cost. When I objected to the price and said I would just go somewhere else they went ballistic. This was probably because they would have to undo the work they had just done without authorization. Yes, I raised my voice in response. At no time was I asked what my expectation was, in their mind, I was wrong and my opinion didn’t matter. Normally a tire store, or repair shop works with the customer to stay within their budget, which is why you present a written estimate ahead of time. If the customer leaves, no harm, no foul, life moves on.Finally, I am almost 62 years old and have watched automotive technology including tires change drastically. However, some things do not change, to properly torque a lug nut, you still use a hand torque wrench. To properly check tire pressure you use a good, calibrated manual tire gauge. I watch tire wear on every vehicle I drive since it is one of the best indicators of suspension, inflation and alignment issues. While I was a professional driver, one of my pre-trip steps was to run my hands along my tires to feel what I couldn’t see. So, Mr. Discount Tire Manager, be careful who you treat like a senile old fool, he might not be as senile as you think.

These guys do great work and are doing above and beyond. They know of recalls that might be affecting your model of car and it tires/suspension and help fix it for you. I only wish they could do nitrogen filled tires. Great people/ great teams been customer for 5 years with several different cars truck and SUVS

Poor service for a nail in the tire. Took car at 9:45. I was told it would be done by 5. The tire still wasn’t done at 5:45. Also, two people in parking lot told me they didn’t have appointments and brought their car at 3. They were done before me. I won’t be back.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I purchased a set of chrome alloy wheels and a new set of tires. They called me, said there was an inventory mistake, they had only 3 tires. They offered me an upgrade to a slightly more expensive tire at no charge. My car was completed close to the time I was quoted. I definitely reccomend this store!

Was in town for a short visit. Needed new tires. Very unorganized to the point I was forgotten, then multiple associates kept calling me by different names. Drove back to California only to find out that the hub cap was not put back on correctly and had sliced into my valve stem. It only cost me $5 to fix, but with the closest discount tire 3 hours away, I paid for it at my local mechanic.

Definitely the place to go for tires. Fantastic warranty that isnt pro rated. They simply fix or replace the tire. Great selection, they dont take appointments, but are usually very quick at getting you in and you can wait for your tires as they dont take very long to complete the work. Very knowledgeable. I have purchased tires there for several vehicles over the years and have always been happy.

I went the the Springfield il location Saturday to have some tires put on. Showed up when they opened and was told they didnt have time and to make an appt. Made an appt for monday at 430p. Showed up on time and then was told they couldnt get the lugs off the truck. Came home and was able.to get them all off by hand. Called the Springfield store and explained what had happened. I was called a liar by the gentleman on the phone. I suspect since I didnt buy the tires from you then thats why they lied and refused to put them on. Discount tires you should be ashamed for treating people this way. I will be contacting the regional office in the morning and filing a complaint.

Once that was done, it was less than 15 minutes before I had my keys back and was hitting the road.The staff was friendly, knowledgeable of tires, and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. I will never set foot in this place again. A couple years ago, I bought a new set of tires for my little car. One of them kept going flat, so I took it right back in. Even though it was under warranty, I got the run around about it being my cars alignment. (2 other mechanics had already assured me this was wrong). They refused to replace it and tried pressuring me into buying a new tire. When I kept calmly refusing, the mechanic looked at me and said do you need to call your husband?. I found a better shop and I will never be back. Absolutely horrible.

I received a quote over the phone and thought the price was acceptable. Two days later I spoke to the salesman to verify stock and price and it was 70 dollars more than they quoted two days earlier. I told him that I had been quoted for a lesser amount and he said bring it in, I said I didn’t have it because it was verbal. The salesman also stated the second quote was the price and pretty much told me I was being dishonest. I am from out of town and called my local store and received a quote and set an appointment for 100 dollars less than the second quote, 30 less than the first quote. I do not recommend this location based on their lack of professionalism and seemingly dishonest business acumen.
