I bought a boat from here at the end of December, 2019 and they were super friendly and helpful. Pricing was fair and they threw in a bunch of used stuff like dock lines, life jackets, etc. -- so I could take it right out on the water. They encouraged a full boat inspection since it was sold as is without warranty. It was well worth the peace of mind for that. Icing on the cake: in April 2020 I found that the battery wasnt holding a charge after sitting over the winter and without hesitation they exchanged it for a good one even though I had no warranty on it. That is amazing service! Give these guys some business. They are a small operation and will clearly treat you well.

Very disappointed with my experience at this dealer. My family drove from Portland to Springfield to look at a ski/wakeboard boat from Great Wakes. Told Tim ahead of time we wanted to test drive it and ski behind the boat to get a feel for the wake. When we got there, he wouldnt let us ski and wouldnt even put the boat in the water unless we signed paperwork and committed to buying the boat. We wouldnt have wasted 6 hrs of our day on a cold fall afternoon if we werent serious about buying. What dealer expects someone to pay $30,000 for a 13 year old boat without being able to test drive it first!? Sorry but turning the engine on inside your shop isnt the same.

We had a wonderful experience buying from Great Wakes Marine. We had the boat checked out and got a thorough report. Drove from Utah to pick it up. It was ready when we got there and Tim helped us check it out in person. We feel we got a great boat at a great price with a great buying experience.

Tim and Mitch were great to work with. We traveled from out of state so it was important that we knew what the boat was like before we arrived. We had the boat performance tested by the boat doctor which was very helpful. A year later we are still enjoying our time on the water. We purchased a 2016 Yamaha 212X.

We just bought a 04 MasterCraft X10 from Great Wakes. Tim and his brothers were super helpful and really nice to deal with. We got an excellent used boat at a really good price. I would definitely recommend these guys for your next purchase. Great family owned business!

Recently lost my wife to cancer and decided to sell the family boat because it just brought back too many memories. Had a difficult time trying to close deal with buyers off CL and I just didnt want to put up with it. Ken and his father Don got in contact with my son and we were able to make a deal to take the boat off my hands. I was not only pleased with their respectful offer, but admired how well they treated us as customers and made the process so easy. If ever in the future Im in the market for a boat, Great Wakes Marine will be first on my list!

I could not be happier with our experience with Great Wakes. The communication was top notch! The facility was clean and organized, the staff is knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and eager to help. The boat we purchased was described on the website and by Tim on the phone honestly and it exceeded my expectations when we arrived to view the boat, this was a relief as we drove 240 miles to get the thing. I feel the Mastercraft was priced fair to just a little below the market value.In short, Great company, great experience, great boat, awesome deal!The next time we are in the market for a boat, Great Wakes will be the first place I look. Highly recommend this place.

I was very impressed with this business for a couple of reasons. First off, it is a family-ran business and it was obvious these guys are all about integrity. I personally met with Don, Tim and Mitch. I told them I was interested in a boat but had to drive 5 hours to reach them. They took me at my word and let other potential buyers know I had first right of refusal on the boat I wanted, which is exactly what I did.When I was able to see the boat, Don and I spoke about what my plans were for using it. After listening to me, he spoke up stating the boat I wanted may not be the right fit for my family. I was very impressed; when does a business run this way, risking a sale for honest advice? Because of this, I looked at a few of the other boats they had, decided on a Mastercraft x30. Don threw in a couple of ropes, a flag and made sure I was taken care of to get out on the water. Sure enough, when taking the family out the next day, all of us were ecstatic about the purchase made. The boat WAS a great fit for my family, I cannot thank Great Wakes Marine for their stellar service and honest advice. I will buy from them again!!Sean

I bought a custom boat from these guys. Decent price for what it was. Well, here I am 10 months later with a blown up engine! Maybe 8 runs? I called them the first day I ran the boat and they said you got it for that price because we told you it needed tuning. Never anywhere in the ad did it say it needed work! FN crooks! Do not buy from these guys

This is a long one but 100% worth reading. Recently went to look at a boat they had for sale for a friend of mine. The boat was claimed to have had a brand new motor, for as new of a boat with low hours I was curious as to why. When I asked about it, the sales guy (Tim) about it he gave me a vague description of somehow water got into the engine and cracked the block. Ive have been in mechanics both personal hobby and professionally since I was 14. So I have a decent about of knowledge of machines. Sounded fishy but I did a pretty good look over the boat and seemed to be in good condition. I had read bad reviews of this place in the past but since they were local and a family run business I figure they would have some integrity and wouldnt lie about something like that. WRONG. Later that night after some research we had found the original sale post from the previous owner on a brand specific forum. This was undoubtedly the same boat. every detail of the boat was exact including the registration number down the side to the custom speakers. The sale post stated that the boat had overheated, melted and exhaust hose which caused the engine bay to flood ultimately causing the rear half of the boat to sink underwater before it could be beached. He said the rear of the boat had sat underwater for 10 hours before the boat could be recovered. I even emailed the previous owner to get further details. We came to the conclusion that the boat could still be worth buying for a lower price. When my friend went to go look at the boat for himself today he asked about the truth of what actually happened. Apparently the guy got upset, lied again, and basically claimed my friend of being a liar. After all that my friend still made an offer on the boat ( which even if the boat hadnt been underwater was a fair offer ) and got turned away. Im not saying they are selling junk but to repeatedly lie just to make some extra dollars is plain wrong. Especially when somebody is spending 30K + of their hard earned money on a boat. I wouldnt recommend anybody buy a boat from these guys.

Had a really good experience with Great wakes marina. I purchased a used boat from Tim. The boat was very well priced and in great condition. It was about 4-5k below the low Nada value (with add ons). Naturally, when something is so well priced, suspicions are raised. I had a buyers pre inspection done (which I highly recommend) by the boat doctor. Refer to my review of the boat doctor, also highly recommended. Tim was honest about the small problems the boat had, such as a ballast gate not closing and the horn not activating. The cover was also torn from the transport up form California. The boat doctor fixed those simple deficiencies with the boat during the inspection, which came back flawless. The entire process was smooth and enjoyable. Took my new boat out yesterday and everything was working/functioning perfectly. I scoured the internet for days trying to find a better deal on this specific boat, and couldnt by at least $3,000, sometimes upwards of 10-15k. Tim threw in an extra set of tower speakers to make up for the cover, and had them installed by the time I picked up my boat. He also had it lightly detailed before I arrived. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend.

Went there to look for a used boat back in February, Found one I was interested in and asked if they could start it up for me. He acted like I was asking too much of him to dewinterize it but did it still. After starting the boat I saw excessive exhaust steam coming from exhaust. I stated to them that I thought there might be a problem with a head gasket cause this is not normal by any means. He looked at me in shock and said there was no way it had a problem and told me they were mechanics and know all about boats and it was normal. I then told them I am a diesel mechanic by trade and do this stuff for a living. I asked for a compression test to be done on it to prove there was no problems and he said they would take it to their mechanic and have it done and call me with the results. Well that never happened I never even got a call back. Glad I ended up buying a 2016 Moomba Mojo from Active Water Sports in Portland. I would never recommend any one buy from Great Wakes Marine.

Purchased a 2007 wakesetter in February 16, contract stated 3 parts were to be fixed before purchasing. It was documented and I purchased it.The boat was delivered 3 weeks later. The trailer brakes, Bimini top and partial winterization was not completed. They shipped the boat not ready.Service has been un satisfactory so far. I paid out of pocket to remedy the issues and get repairs fixed so that the boat was functional/towable. Still waiting for a response for some sort of reimbursement on repairs.*** UPDATE ***it is now June. I have not received any return calls or emails.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - !!!!!!!!!!!*** Response to seller 10/19/16 ***There was 1 attempt to come out and winterize but it was needed prior to that attempt because of the freezing temperatures at that time.It was posted for more money due to all the issues the boat that needed repair. The Boat Doc pre-inspection for $160 overlooked several problems that needed immediate attention before I could sell this boat.Several emails and phone calls to cover the parts promised in our written contract with no response. I hope that other buyers be extremely careful before working with this company.
