Mike and Chet and their crew are top notch people! We have used them for years and continue to go back and also refer people. The latest for us, our truck made a popping noise Thursday night and we were scheduled for a camping trip Friday afternoon for the weekend. They were swamped! Mike knew about our trip, and they worked us in as quickly as they could and got it done anyway! We were able to stay on track for our trip which meant a lot to us. Thank you so much for knowing us as your customers, doing fantastic work on our vehicles and keeping us safe.

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. The entire male side of my family are mechanics, and when I moved far enough away that I could no longer get my car to them for big repairs, this was the place that my Dad said he had talked to all his contacts about. They are honest and fair, and they stand by their repairs. I never wonder if they are trying to inflate their prices, and every time I get work done there my family tells me that the prices they charged are what they are asking from their clients.

The customer service here is great. I am not to sure about the actual work. Had brand new rotors put on here and within 6 months the brand new rotors were warped and dangerous. I dont know to much about car repair but that is the first time, I ever experienced this. They did take steps to make it right though.

These guys are great. We had an failure on the interstate, Sunday afternoon and not being from the area didnt know where to have our truck towed. We asked around and were told to have Chet and his people fix it. We were on the road Monday by noon. Very friendly and helpful.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! I got my brakes done a few years ago, and when getting them done again today I found out how poorly the job was done. Wrong parts used, AND missing parts ruining so much more than normal wear and tear. Costing me so much extra money. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.

I have gotten excellent service from Brake Pros over the years. They do good work, in a timely manner, and they dont look for extra things to do (that dont really need to be done). Currently Mike is assisting me with an issue with one of our cars, showing excellent customer service: he is going beyond the extra mile in order to get an issue fixed that came up after a repair was made, and not charging me for the extra mile. The best place in Springfield for automotive service.

It seems if youre not their friend youre not priority I called yesterday to make An appointment was told to come 1st thing in the morning came 15 minutes early for him to tell me sorry had a bunch dropped off last night why didnt you tell me to drop it off last night and then says sorry wont be today maybe tomorrow what kind of professional business does that good luck getting your car in Also when called to talk to manager and/or get number for corporate this places corporate and the guy I talked to is the manager so he proceeds to tell me look buddy its Im sorry I cant say anything else its not my fault people dropped off cars I said why didnt you tell me to drop my car off he sorry so not only did I miss work to miss an appointment the guy talk to then says look just because you want me to bail you out which by the way Im barring the truck from a friend so wasnt even me that did the work on it but boy he had something to chime in about Hopefully you do not get the same treatment I did if you decide to go there

Straight up pricing. No bs. Swapped an engine from start to finish in 4 days. So far so good.

They were not helpful at all. I had a 03 4runner that needed a ABS pump. They wouldnt help, said it took a special scan tool to bleed brakes. Wound up installing myself without have to bleed brakes at all. Thanks for the help👎

I have been going to Mike and Chet since they ran a franchise operation years ago, when they opened their own shop I followed them. Always found fair prices and great service. They are always done on time and I never had a problem.

They are so worried that somebody is going to sue them they are will to loose potential customers as in my case i was planning on spend about 1500 on just some brakes but the chet guy on the phone over talked me and with his rudeness talked me out of giving them my money

Took my 03 Yukon here to get the rear differential diagnosed because of a winding noise they took the differential cover off looked at it put it back on charged me $125 to tell me it needs complete rebuild the estimate was over $1000. A friend fixed it he put 2 new bearings in it for $200

I live and work nearly 45 minutes away. I only go to Springfield to have them work on my cars. As others have said, I have been bringing our family cars to them for nearly 30 years now (When Chet owned Rainbow Muffler). I think that so many of there customers have been doing business with them for so long. Should say more then anything else!

I really dont understand the one-star reviews. Mike & Chet (either as Rainbow Muffler or as Brake Pros) have serviced my cars for over 10 years. They break down what you need, what you dont need, and their prices are VERY reasonable (if not, low!). If youre not convinced, take your car to a dealership and get a list of all the needed repairs and the price estimate. Then take that to Brake Pros and they will give you a better picture of the repairs actually needed, along with a WAY better price. If theres a repair they cant do, they know someone who can for a good price. Take your car to Brake Pros!

I have been going to Brake Pros for approximately 15 years. They recently replaced a transmission coolant line but, in doing so, installed it with a kink in the line which, within 50 miles of driving, caused the transmission to fail. I presented to them my repair bill, along with pictures from the local GMC dealership who performed the work. To my surprise, Brake Pros sent me a check for the full amount of the transmission replacement and the cost of car rental. Needless to say, this kind of customer service is nothing short of exemplary. As evidenced, they stand by their work and take responsibility for their actions- what else could one expect of a business? Ill be back. Bravo, Mike & Chet!

I brought my car in to have it fixed. Hoses running the wrong way kink in the raidiator hose bolts missing from the coil pack car stalling.. broken pieces from the raidiator connections. Charged 220 to put a raidiator hose on and antifreeze and said they gave me a good deal on the towing which they added onto. Pro brakes is not as honest as they say they are wouldnt recommend to anyone.
