Patty was my stylist and she was very helpful. She only pulled dresses in my price range and ones that were in my size. She quickly was able to find dresses I really liked even though I came in not totally sure what I wanted exactly. Patty helped me find the perfect dress! She put me in multiple different veils and helped me find one that went along and put it aside for me. The dress itself makes me feel very glamorous and beautiful and it fit like a glove and I’ll need minimal alterations. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend Normans and seeing Patty as a stylist!

I have always had a good experience in the past when I took my daughters here for prom dresses, but today was different. I went there to look at wedding dresses and from the get go I felt like my stylist Patty was just wanting to rush me and was very pushy. Even when I was looking thru the dresses. I think maybe because I was looking at the sale rack she was not that thrilled to have me as her client. I did like one of the dresses enough to try it on a second time and at that point she just kept pushing me to make up my mind.I told her I was reluctant because my oldest daughter wanted to be there and so I thought maybe I should just wait. She just kept pushing and telling me that tomorrow it would go back up to full price. She had no care about the fact that I wanted my daughter to be there. I looked at previous reviews and noticed that this has happened before. I came home with buyers remorse wishing I had waited. 😥 We have bought every prom dress from Normans and have never had this experience.

Normans was our last place to look at dresses for my daughters wedding. She had found 2 dresses she really liked at another bridal shop. I went to probably 7 different bridal shops around the St. Louis area and tried on about 65 dresses. I know, too many! I could not find the one and by the time I went to Normans I was extremely frustrated. Liz was the only consultant that made me feel comfortable and actually listened to me. Anything I didn’t like in the room, she didn’t have me go out and show the group. Such a small adjustment that would have made all of my other appointments just as great. I can’t thank Normans enough for enhancing my bridal experience.

I was highly impressed with the wide selection of dresses- it was the most impressive in the Springfield area.My bridal stylist, Katie Jankovitz, remained my stylist throughout the entire time, which was two bridal appointments worth. This created seamless communication and understanding of what I liked and disliked, so I wasn’t starting from scratch with each appointment. I went to several different bridal shops and Norman’s was by far the most professional. Everyone not only dressed nice but looked nice. I was raked in a large fitting room which was a nice change from the cramped fitting rooms I’ve been pushed into before. There was a large mirror and plenty of space. My stylist Katie Barr was amazing. She was so kind and professional and really took into consideration my wants. We have her a budget and she stayed under it! I know a lot of places will either try to meet your budget or go a little over but all of the dress that were brought out to me were under budget and varied in price which was amazing! She was also great at clipping back dresses and helping getting them to fit. A lot of other shops either made my mom do it or weren’t good at actually pinning the dress. She was amazing at clipping it on all of the right places. You could also take as many pictures as you wanted in the dress which some shops don’t allow!

Various selection and great customer services. When I came in for a bridal trial they were hella busy, but Tera (hopefully I spell it right) the assistant lady still did a great job in taking care of me. She was super super helpful and sweet, kept checking on me to make sure everything was alright, gave me a lot of helpful and honest advices and opinions. I said yes to my dress! Highly recommend!

I was truly surprised at how easy it was to make a decision on something as important as a wedding dress with Normans.Going into dress shopping, I didnt really have a strong idea of what I wanted - just bits and pieces of what I liked in dresses overall - so I was afraid that Id end up needing to have a try-on-50-dresses-in-one-day type of appointment before I found (or didnt find) something I loved.However, when I showed Tara what both my mom and I were envisioning, she ended up finding THE dress within the first five or six picks. She had an amazing eye for what might/might not work, and she helped me realize that there were way more flattering shapes and silhouettes of dresses for my body type than the ones I was originally looking at.I had other dress appointments after visiting Normans, so I didnt say yes to the dress at my initial try-on, but Tara was more than accommodating and never pressured me to buy a dress on that day (although she definitely knew I would be back haha). Lo and behold, after going back for a second try-on appointment, I ended up saying YES to the dress.There are wonderful bridal stores around Springfield, but I cant recommend the Normans experience enough. I went to Norman’s to find a dress after falling in love with a dress at another shop in town that didn’t allow photos. I found that dress on the designers website and not only did Normans have the dress, they allowed as many photos as I wanted. They helped me choose the perfect veil and made my wedding dress shopping experience painless and fun! They also were extremely helpful with helping me find earrings to match my dress when I tried it on after it was ordered and arrived. I’ve been in for other occasions and have had a positive experience every time!

We met our daughter there early for there sale. Although our daughter didnt pick one out that was on sale its a beautiful dress. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and funny. 1900 dollars later we left. But its all worth it. To see the smile on her face and tears in her eyes makes it worth while.

I went here for my first ever bridal appointment. I was assisted by a lady named Patty who upon arrival and hearing my budget ($500) said they really didn’t have anything in my price range. After a bit of conversation she ended up finding a few dresses that were within my budget. To her credit I absolutely fell in love with the first dress I tried on! But unfortunately it was 6 sizes too big. After trying on a few other dresses I realized I was set on that dress but after a phone call to our seamstress we were informed that they would have to almost completely take the dress apart to take it in that much. We informed Patty that we had other appointments and we wanted to explore all our options before making a decision. Her response was “cancel your other appointments. If you found the dress you don’t need to keep looking” and continuing to pressure us into buying that specific dress without considering the alterations (which they don’t provide in store) or even offering to order it in my size. Was very disappointed by this experience. It felt as if she was simply looking for a commission or just to get that dress off the floor.We ended up finding the exact same dress at a different boutique and they ordered it in my size within my budget!

I also had a small budget (wanted to stay under $1000). Patty went above and beyond and the first dress she pulled was perfect! She pulled several more options for me so I could have the true dress shopping experience. She showed me dresses that were more true to my vision, but more than I wanted to spend. I ended up finding the one thanks to Katie. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful during my appointment. Her positive attitude and passion for her job made the whole experience perfect for me. I explained to Katie what my style was and that I had recently gone shopping at another store in Springfield. She told me that she was excited to help me find the perfect dress for me. I never once felt pressured, which I was unlike the other store I visited. She did an excellent job explaining how ordering works as well as the options I had to make sure my grandmas and my fiancée’s family could see me try on the dress at my next appointment. I am so thankful that Katie made this experience so wonderful. I would highly recommend shopping at Normans! I would also highly recommend having Katie as your bridal stylist!

After going to several different bridal stores Norman’s fit me in last minute. After describing my desired look and budget Katie pulled several options. She was extremely patient and helpful. After hearing me describe what each dress was missing she went a pulled an option that had everything. She made sure to tell me it’s exact price and that they could get it in by my wedding before showing it to me. I fell in love with it. I enjoy the really glam experience Normans provides. The photos of the bride in her dresses look so great with the backdrop of Normans beautiful mirrors and stages.I was annoyed that my bridesmaid dress took much longer to come in than promised. I also wasnt sure why there was an extra $60 of fees added to the price I was quoted for my dress. My friend also had issues with the fabrics being true to the colors in the pictures for her bridesmaid dresses.So Id say not the cheapest place in town -- but if you are looking for a really memorable experience and the chance to feel like a princess, this is a great place to go. The workers are friendly and helpful without being too pushy and salesy.They have A LOT of choice too. Tons of dresses to choose from. Its also nice that it is locate downtown so you can plan a special brunch with your bridesmaids and then walk to the dress shop together. Ive been here with a few of my friends shopping for their weddings and it was an enjoyable experience.

Normans Bridal came highly recommended to me from several places, so I planned on them being my first and last stop for my wedding dress. From the second we walked in the door, all of the staff were highly professional and welcoming! By the end of the day, everyone was cheering me on. My stylist, Tara, was the best consultant I could have asked for!! I had very particular styles I liked and didn’t like, she was very receptive and quick to catch on. When I started to feel overwhelmed with choices, she made the right recommendations and guided me. She was kind to my family and very receptions to the input from my MOH who was communicating my needs. There were plenty of styles available, many that could fit a more restricted budget. My overall experience was phenomenal!! I have already recommended to the other brides I know. Tara made me feel so at home and answered all of my questions. Truly an incredible experience! They also have bridesmaid dress options in a variety of colors & styles as well as promotions for mother of the bride dresses! We all said yes to the dress here.

I had a great experience with Katie at Norman’s that ended in me saying yes to a BEAUTIFUL dress and veil. I do wish that I could have browsed through the dresses myself. I didn’t pick out one dress to try on myself where I was able to pick them out at other stores. But some people like having the consultant pick them out so I think it’s personal preference. If you go to a place like this, I think you’ll have better luck if you know exactly what you’re wanting so they can pull the perfect dresses for you. My cousin actually found my dress while Katie and I were in the dressing room. It was one I had tried on and fell in love with at a different store so she recognized it. I am lucky she found it because it’s the one I ended up buying. It is GORGEOUS. Even though my cousin pulled it, Katie put me in that dress right away, tried on different veils, showed me all the color options and she was super helpful from there. It was clear they were willing to work with me to make sure I loved everything about the way I looked. Like I said, I do wish the bride had a little more freedom to look around herself, but that would not stop me from recommending Normans to anyone. Such a big, beautiful selection. I can’t wait to wear my dress on my big day!

I tried on a dress I hated on the hanger, and it’s the one I bought!! I originally went to Norman’s Bridal Shoppe today to shop their flash 500 sale, but ended up buying a dress my mom and future mother in law picked out for me to try on, off of a different rack and it was still priced less than any other bridal site I have been looking at for ideas. I got a GORGEOUS 2020 style dress for under $1200!!!! Alexa was so, so helpful with finding and trying on dresses and made me feel so beautiful!! She did such a good job with making and fast and easy with putting on dresses! The atmosphere in Norman’s is so fun and relaxed even when it’s super busy and they such a great selection! Love it so much!

Loved my experience at Normans! The staff was so kind, attentive, and joyful. The shop was beautiful and made my whole experience feel so glamorous.My budget was rather low for a Normans bride but the staff was so understanding. They did a great job pulling dresses that fit my style and price range. In the end I shed the happiest of bridal tears and left with my dream dress!!The dress came in in a timely manner and I was notified as soon as it arrived at the store. We drove the 2 hours to Normans the next day to get the dress. Was reminded again how much I loved the beautiful atmosphere! The consultant that helped me try on my dress was again all helpful smiles!Proud to be a Normans Bride!!

If your looking for an amazing experience I highly recommend visiting Normans Bridal! We were actually on vacation and we were just trying to get dress ideas since we wouldnt all be together again to find a actual dress. My first experience at another boutique was rather defeating to say the least. I knew exactly what i wanted in my head and because the first boutique had nothing like that the consultant tried to convince me out of my idea all together. Katie B at Normans was absolutely amazing! I instantly felt comfortable with her and she asked me a few questions about my vision and knew exactly what dress i had in my head that no one else could envision! She nailed it on the first dress she picked out! I tried on a few more gorgeous gowns but the first one she picked was the dress. I never thought i would ever be the kind of bride to cry or have the moment but Katie B made everything so perfect that i cried when i stepped back into the first dress to show my family with a veil. I had an amazing experience at Normans! I got blessed with Katie, thank the Lord. As a woman who does not enjoy shopping what so ever, Katie made my experience so fun and easy. She listened to exactly what I wanted for my wedding dress and did a beautiful job of selecting my style. I ended up walking away with the second dress I tried on that day and it was perfect!!!

I’m so glad that I got Taylor to assist me in finding the perfect prom dress!! She was so sweet and very helpful! I had a great experience at Normans Bridal with Katie Jankovitz. I had bad experiences with consultants at another bridal store (the big one youre thinking of that everyone knows) and I was a bit nervous. Katie made me feel great the whole time we were there and really listened to what I liked and didnt like about each dress. She also was great making small talk that wasnt uncomfortable.We had a private little room in the back, which was PERFECT for me, my mom, and my sister. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.

Beautiful dresses and by far the best dress shopping/trying on experience that I had. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Liz was the consultant that helped me. I would highly recommend her. She made me feel at ease and did a great job figuring out my style and picking out dresses for me to try on.

I was actually very disappointed in my experience. I had gone to the bridal expo, where I met a shorter lady who was very kind and very interested in showing us dresses. We instantly booked our appointment after talking to her. She was wonderful!Yesterday when I showed up to try on dresses, I saw the same lady and she ran to get me a consultant. She was still very kind. Now our consultant was a different story. I cant remember her exact name, Kelsey, Kylie, Keelie, something along the line. She asked me what my budget was and I told her we hadnt really set an exact budget but we knew what area we kind of wanted to stick around. we were there yesterday to try on dresses and see what we liked and if we found the one then we would discuss our options. My consultant had a very good energy at first, seemed really eager to help, and picked up two dresses for me to try on. I tried on the first two dresses and I did not care for them. I explained to her what I didnt like about them and what I did like about them. Each time she had to go look for a new dress she seemed more and more annoyed with me. She wasnt really listening to what I liked, I have mentioned a couple of times that I was looking for a ball gown dress. Not once yesterday did I try on a ball gown. After every dress I tried on she kept saying oh this is the dress, she would try to sell me on a dress that I did not love. It was like she was working for her commission and nothing more. At one point in time, one of my bridesmaids got upset with how she clearly wasnt listening to what I wanted, and felt the need to chime in and tell her we wanted another dress to Try on because she clearly wasnt listening to me. I explained a couple of times that I hadnt tried on dresses yet, I wasnt really sure what I wanted. I had an idea but I was looking to have a consultant who was ready to help me find my dress. It was so hard to get her to go get more dresses, we finally left after the sixth dress we left, I was very frustrated at this point. I tried on 6 dresses yesterday and I did not find a single one that I could see myself wear to my wedding.(Although, the shorter lady did find two beautiful dresses that I did like) I was a little upset because the first lady I originally spoke to was amazing and she even popped into my dressing room a couple of times. The designer also came into our room, and she asked me clearly what I liked and what I didnt like about the dress I had on, and she told me how flattering it was and what areas maybe I should try a different style. Those two gave outstanding service so I want to recognize them for that. I really wish they would have been my consultant yesterday, because I feel like then we would want to return to Normans bridal. I feel my consultant was very untrained, very judgmental, and very unprofessional with her customer service. I have worked in the customer service industry for 6 years now and if that is how she sells dresses, shes going to need a lot more assistance.

This is a wonderful bridal boutique. The shop itself is beautiful and you feel great just going in. All the staff was welcoming & friendly. My daughter’s consultant, Katie, was super! She is very knowledgeable about design, style, fit, and alterations. She did everything for us- found dresses, helped in the dressing room, even gave us some very helpful hints to get just the look she wanted. We found “the dress” at Norman’s- a gorgeous designer gown for $500! Everyone was happy!

Katelyn was wonderful!! She was very patient and she went out of her way to do everything she could to help me decide on the perfect wedding dress....but she was too good because she kept finding me beautiful dresses. If I could give six stars I would!!

When it felt like I wouldnt have anywhere to go during the virus, we called Normans and had an appointment set for 25 minutes after we called! One employee, Kyla, hand picked out a certain dress for me that I felt like couldnt get any better. She searched the store for the second time and found the exact same dress in a smaller size just to save me from spending more money on alterations. I didnt ask her to do that but she did it anyway. To any new brides out there, look at Normans!

Came in here with my future mother-in-law about two months ago, for a Saturday appointment. When I booked over the phone, I told the girl my wedding wouldnt be until 2021, and the dress styles I was interested in. I was worried how they might take it since the wedding was still over a year away, but the girl on the phone reassured me that was totally fine. Im a planner by nature, so I like to do things early. I come in and an older woman is assigned to me. She asks me the same questions again, I tell her the date and she tells me that that is VERY early to look. I was confused as I was told prior that it wouldnt be a problem, I tell her I know, and she seems to reluctantly continue. I tell her the styles I like, and she tells me Those are two VERY different styles. My response at this point was Yep! And I look great in both of them, lets go! So she shows me to a dressing room, and pulls a few for me. And again mentions how early it is for me to look. One dress she shows me she takes the time to mention that its $1,800 and looks at me like I should be in shock. When I tell her Im fortunate enough to have saved since I was 16 and have parents helping pay for the wedding, she perks up a bit. We get ready to leave, she hands me her card and is much nicer. I didnt feel special, I felt judged and like an over-eager airhead, because in her head there was no way I was going to buy a dress that day so why bother?

I didn’t have to leave my dressing room once because my stylist kept getting me different styles in between my try ons! I found the perfect dress and even got a couple free gifts with it. Highly recommend for finding a prom dress.

From this second I walked in, I knew Norman’s was the right place to find the dress I had been dreaming about. The dress I found was GORGEOUS, but I am leaving a review because of the EXCEPTIONAL customer service Brenda and Tara provided. Tara helped me try on dress after dress, helping me find ones that were not only what I envisioned but also ones that would please my family with me. She was patient, helpful and encouraging. She didn’t give up until we found THE dress. Brenda had helped my mom in finding her dress and remembered her from 25 years ago. She wanted my momma to approve, so she made sure to help Tara and I find the perfect dress that we all fell in love with. I never leave reviews, but I could go on and on about these two ladies because they deserve it! They know their stuff and they will make sure you leave a happy bride ❤️ So to Tara and Brenda, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Ask for Liz. She made everything absolutely perfect. I was extremely picky and she made everything enjoyable when I thought I couldn’t find anything! I found the perfect dress and I am so happy!

I usually don’t give bad reviews but my experience was bad enough that I felt like I needed to share. We had 4 months before the wedding, which got us our first eye roll, then we we told the lady our budget, she acted as if it was impossible to buy a dress in that range (which btw we purchased a dress for $400 less later that day at David’s Bridal). The lady seemed very put out by having to help us, was not helpful to my daughter (the bride) and was not nice to me (mom). My daughter came out in dress #3 and said she was ready to leave, and when we got outside she didn’t even want to go to another store because of how bad the experience was. It was the first store we went to and I assured her that that wasn’t the norm when shopping for a wedding dress. I personally bought my wedding dress from Norman’s in Lebanon 7 years ago and they had good service, which is why I was so blown away and disappointed by the customer service (or lack there of) at the Springfield location.

I had such a good experience here today! I had Rachel as my dress advisor and she was super sweet and knowledge! I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a dress for any special occasion.

We were in Springfield for a dance competition and I googled prom dress shops. Norman’s was one of three shops that popped up. After looking at all the websites, we thought we would try here first. BEST DECISION EVER!!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces And hello’s. We were asked to sign in and were immediately paired with a sales associate. Susannah was awesome!! She listened to exactly what my daughter wanted and brought her dresses she loved. We found her perfect dress and even bought earrings!! Bravo on making this experience so wonderful for us and your entire staff was wonderful! If we ever need a dress again, we will drive the 2 1/2 hours to buy from Norman’s.Tonya and Bailee V
