We always used to get a birthday cake here because it used to always be delicious and moist. Unfortunately, as others have said, the quality isnt as consistent as it used to be 5,10, or even 15 years ago.In the spring I got a chocolate cake for a coworker and it was surprising dry. I figured it must have been a fluke, but the strawberry kiwi cake I got my wife in May was also dry.Im sure the other treats are good, but Ill look elsewhere for a cake.

They had awesome pastries and they deserve 5 stars, BUT, sometimes little things make all the difference.As the three of us were picking out different desserts from behind the glass counter it was obvious we had no clue what anything was other than a cannoli and eclair. Well, one of the people in my group who is allergic to alcohol (if you get what I mean,) chose a big beautiful pastry fill with some cream that had alcohol in it. Now that is probably a rare situation, but, she just as easily been could have been buying it for her grandson. Who would want to give a kid a beautiful looking dessert that tastes like alcohol? My point is maybe the staff could start saying something to people when they are choosing items. That or a simple little card on the tray saying contains alcohol. Im sure its not enough to get someone intoxicated, but it is enough to ruin their dessert.

We ordered a Sweet Sixteen “16” birthday cake. We spent hundreds. When our caterer opened the box to place the candles, we received a “1” with a “BACKWARDS J” and not the number “6.” I spoke with four La Fiorentina staff about the problem including the owner. Here’s what they said: “That is a 6. That’s how we make a 6. That’s our mold for a 6.” No apology, offer to make things right, solve the problem, nothing. We gave them four opportunities to step up. La Fiorentina takes no accountability. Check out the photo that contradicts your lack of accountability and highlights your poor customer service. Our family has been doing business with you for years. Not anymore.

Mauro and his team at La Fiorentina were truly the best wedding cake vendors we could have asked for for our wedding day! My husband grew up in western MA and had been to La Fiorentina many times throughout his childhood, which made it even more special to have them design and create our wedding cake. We had an initial meeting with Mauro, in which he asked all the right questions (some of which we hadn’t even thought of!). When we had to postpone our ceremony due to covid, Mauro was incredibly accommodating and reassuring. He was happy to work with our florist to make our vision of real flowers on the cake a reality, resulting in the most gorgeous and delicious cake we could have hoped for. One important note - their wedding consultations don’t include a tasting, but you can purchase cupcakes in many flavor combinations during the consultation to try! We cannot recommend La Fiorentina highly enough!

This place is amazing! I’m so sad the Northampton location closed but I’m glad there’s another location in Springfield. The desserts and gelato are divine. You can get great coffee here too! There’s a little shop where you can get imported groceries from Italy. The atmosphere is very welcoming, feels somehow laidback and fancy at the same time. The whole place is just such a gem. Stop in if you can.

I got a few pastries and in one of them was a tag and it had the date of last week and when I asked them if it was fresh they said yes but the tag says otherwise. It was very disappointing. It was false advertising, if it was to just one pastry images to the rest of them. Yet they advertise and say that it’s fresh how disappointing the least they could say it’s a few days old but no they just lie. I wonder how the rest of the establishment works. Probably just false advertisement to get your money

Everything is absolutely beautiful and the selection is great.I usually buy the fruit cake, but decided to try something different and went with the chocolate cake with strawberries. It was good, but I thought it could have used a little more strawberries because it was a little drier than I like.The woman serving me was simply delightful.I love my trips to La Fiorentinas. I usually leave with at least one chocolate covered cannoli, sadly I did not this time, but I certainly will the next time. 🙂

La Fiorentina has been a local tradition since i was a baby in western MA. The best cannoli and coffee. The best carrot cake. The best cookies. everything you get there is so decadent and perfect. you cannot go wrong with any order. The service is always amazing as well.

I remember the plate of Italian Cookies which were delicious and something to look forward to. It’s been years but I ordered a tray of the cookies to be picked up on a certain day. I understand Christmas is a busy season but the cookies that were ordered tasted like they were made up weeks before. Dry, no flavor, no distinct tastes. Nothing like years past. Don’t think I would order again.

Ordered chocolate covered strawberries ahead of time (theyre sold by the pound). They were delicious! It is very clean and organized inside and air conditioned. The pastries on display look very good as well. There is also a small restaurant-like sitting area with tables and chairs. Would definitely return to try more!

So the food was excellent as always, but SOME of the staff can use a course on customer service and maybe math!! The total was $9.12 and I handed her a $10 bill and said I have the Chang, apparently didnt get it quick enough because she had the $.88 already, I handed her 2 dimes and she literally handed me back all the change, WHILE the drawer was OPEN!! Cant figure out how to make a dollar? I was eating in and asked for a cup of ice water (to go along with a drink I bought) and she gets me tap water ( which is fine) but with FOUR ice cubes!! This is La Fiorentina!! I expect MUCH better service than that!!
