Knowledgeable and helpful parts selection is limited good quality but they are able to get what you need generally and if your going to get a computer built or buy a prebuilt. It is better to go with good shops like these that will have them put and running better than big chain stores.

I think I got ripped off. Hear me out first. I took my computer in to have two things checked out, the hinge and the battery because Im having to leave my laptop plugged in for use. The employee that assisted me said hell fix the hinge and give me a call back later that day about the battery situation.A whole week went by and no phone call, so I called them back. I explained my situation to the employee and he said he was completely oblivion about the situation/information of my laptop, so he said hell look into it and call me back. He called be back and said the hinge is fixed but the battery will have to be ordered.A couple of days went by and I called. The employee first said its not the battery thats the problem, its the motherboard.....SAY WHAT!!!! I told him Ill keep managing my laptop, when can I come to pick it up? He said I can come later today, we close at 6. So I went to pick it up and he told me that the battery was the problem and that he replaced it. So I asked him that I wont have to keep it plugged in to stay on? He said yes. I paid and left. As soon as I got home, I turned the computer on and it started to flicker, as if its about to die but the battery is fully charged. It has been 16 days since my laptop got fixed and I still have to leave it plugged in to use it. Im not sure what he fixed but I think I got ripped off!

I took my computer here. I had an idea what I thought was wrong with it. They told me something totally different. I got it back the same day and one week later same problem again. I then took it to a different repair shop that actually read the computers diagnostic code that it was flashing, fixed the problem for half what they charged, and computer is back to normal operations .

Ive dealt with Computer Hospital as a business customer since 2007. I work in network IT and these guys are always knowledgeable with regards to systems and professional in their dealings. I primarily purchase hard to find PC parts from them but refer individuals who are needing their consumer systems repaired to them frequently and never hear negative feedback.Im suspicious about many of the reviews on this page because this is by all indications a thriving local business with an excellent word of mouth reputation. Ive dealt with nearly every consumer PC shop in town over the years trying to find parts locally....this is the place to go in Springfield if you want honest and professional service. A lot of other places staff technicians who shouldnt even be in this field of work.

I took my laptop to them to fix the power button because it would not turn on. The housing around it had broken off and the button was dangling by the wire. It was very obvious that this was the problem.When I talked to them I pointed out the problem and the salesman said Yea thats definetly the problem. I left my laptop and came to get it the next day. I should have been more diligent when I went to pay because they charged me $90 to fix it and $60 of this was a diagnostic fee. Are you kidding me? I told the guy what the problem was and he agreed, so basically he charged me $60 for doing nothing.I understand that this is specialty service and I expected a high hourly rate. They charged me $30 for a half hour of labor and thats fine because I could not have done it myself. However, charging a diagnostic fee of $60 when there was no time spent diagnosing the problem is BS. It is obvious that this place is only interested in a quick profit and they dont care about their costumers or earning their business.I will never do business with these crooked people again.

I want to say that never in my life (70 yro) have I ever been more satisfied with a transaction of any kind than I am with the service I received from Computer Hospital this week (same day service!)This is not my first experience with them. Theyve fixed my computers for about 6 or 7 years, Im guessing that that means about 5 or 6 transactions.In every case the service was polite, friendly, FAST, and fair priced. They kept me informed all the way through the processes and always made sure they were doing what I wanted them to do and at what cost it would be.Having had experiences with several of the big box computer stores and the service departments I can tell you that the Computer Hospital and their staff are unequivocally the best in town in service, price and quality.

HORRIBLE! I stopped in by chance and the tech showed me how to take my laptop apart, under 5 minutes, and i went about my way thinking What a nice guy &great place. Stopped in a few days later, different guy and he was MAD that the first guy didnt write up a ticket and charge me. So i call today and was told that the owner said I should take my business elsewhere. Well believe me, I will. They would have had a life long customer who would send people to them, but I will be on their butt to drive off business now. I even said so I did something wrong here? And he said yes. Unbelievable. People are struggling against Best Buy for business and this guy points me to the door.

I dont normally post reviews for companies but I had a VERY BAD experience. Horrible customer service, wont listen to your concerns or hear you out. Theyre so concerned on a profit on work expenses, well they definitely lost my business as well as many others. I understand they couldnt give me what I wanted but how they snub nosed and pushed me out the door was not okay. There are many other computer/cell phone repair business in Springfield. Take my advice, GO TO THE OTHERS!

I called to ask a question about an issue my computer was having. I spoke with Mark. He told me to bring my computer in and he would take a look. He was friendly, had a sense of humor, and DID NOT TALK DOWN to me (unlike another computer repair I had tried previously). I was charged about 1/3 of what the other place charged me, had my computer back the next day (in 1/3 of the time the other place had my computer), and felt like Mark actually gave a damn (unlike the other place). My computer is in even better shape now than it was before this issue hit, and I was not treated like a moron because I am not computer literate. Thank you for your assistance and for being there.

Ive had my screen replaced two different times there, and both times it was finished in under an hour, cost MUCH less than filing a claim through Verizon, and each person I dealt with was friendly. Ill definitely use them again whenever the need arises!

Asked them to make me a recovery disk for my dads windows 7 machine since no one I know has one. They flat out refused, told me to bring it in and they would look at it. Which completely defeats the purpose of why I have the computer.

I just bought a laptop from Computer Hospital on Friday 5/1/2015. It was working great the staff was very helpful and friendly. I decided to use a free anti-virus and took it home, by Monday 5/4/2015 I had several bad viruses and lost my internet connection. When I called they told me to bring it right over. The virus had wiped out some of my drives or programs. They fixed it in less than 24 hours. Of course I had them install Norton Anti-virus as well.Cant say enough about the great customer service and knowledgeable staff. Thank you Computer Hospital!!!

Memphis helped me and did a phenomenal job. He had a great attitude. I was looking for a power adaptor for my older PC that was rebuilt so that I could install Oculus Rift, VR on my system. Not only was he able to quickly identify the issue, he helped me with a new power supply that gave me options to upgrade in the future. 100% the Computer Hospital anytime you need help with your PC! Wow. Just wow. Ok first of all I have only utilized their services a handful of times and they have never been able to fix a single problem. Thats not really why I am writing this. Today I went there for a longer cord for my phone charger, they didnt have what i needed (shock) but, last time I was here I brought them a gaming laptop that had stopped working. It was about 5 months ago and they had told me that the mother board was fried and it was screwed so I had no urgency to come back for it. The man working told me that it had been recycled and that was it. Thats ok I didnt expect to get it back. But then he told me that yeah, ya tell people that its 60 bucks and they dont wanna come back. I told him that they didnt tell me that it would cost 60 dollars and he basically called me a liar. Then later in the conversation he admited that he purposefully didnt tell people about the fee so that they would get the business. Wow. What a bad liar. So what this boils down to is that they will hold your computer for ransom if they can fix it. I asked why dont you just tell people it will cost 60 dollars? and he replied we should. So either buy a new computer or use Amazon if your contemplating going here.

Wont go back. I have been highly satisfied with Computer Hospital in the past. However, they sold me a defective power supply and wouldnt exchange it. They said I would have to send it back to the manufacturer for replacement. I did not wish my money back, but to exchange the unit and upgrade it at the same time. They were unwilling to even provide me with a contact for the manufacturer. The only thing they would do is to recycle my old power supply.

Scam artist. Sold us a laptop with a broken optical drive and a flickering screen, when we asked in store before we left about some kind of return policy, he mentioned that we had 72 hours, then upon returning it because of previously mentioned problems, he charged a 15%, not DOLLARS, PERCENT. Restocking fee.So, he sells junk, and then because he knows that youre going to return it, he charges a 15% restocking fee for plugging the laptop back in and setting it on a counter.No wonder this joke has an F rating on the BBB.

Do not go here. Zero in the way of customer service and completely unhelpful. After disputing the fairness of their prices, one of the employees told me that a certain product was $30 cheaper than on newegg at their store. I did not believe this, so I checked after leaving and sure enough, it was $40 cheaper on newegg. take anything they tell you with a grain of salt.

First off the attitudes of the employees are far from welcoming or helpful. I seemed to have bothered the guy behind the counter with questions. I bought a universal AC for my laptop at $80. The guy read the package and told me it would fit my computer. It was not the right cord and fired my laptop. Not only would they not return my money for the AC cord, they did not acknknowledge the damage to my laptop either. They offered me store credit, which at that point was worthless. I was so turned off by the lack of service, care and knowledge I just wanted to shop elsewhere.Not only that they are way too over priced on all their.

Recently, I had some minor issues with my laptop which impacts its operational system. Anyway, I tried to fix myself so I opened the entire device, cleaned it out but I did not put the memory back properly.So I decided to stop acting like an expert and went there. I asked a guy there that basically my laptop for some reason had not been functioning well and I told him also that I opened the device so there might have been something misplaced or whatever you wanna call it.The guy said ok well get it checked for you for $50 and you can picked it up tomorrow afternoon. However, if we had to fix the operational system part, wed charge you moreGuess what happened!! First of all, the guy promised me to come pick up my laptop noon but he was late as I got it around 6 p.m. Second, the guy charged me $80 and when I said why?? He told me it took him more time to get it fixed. Finally, I discovered that he only opened, and then put everything back together right! But did not do anything to make the device work normally!So why 80? He said because of the time!!!!This is crazy! I believe the people there know NOTHING about computers! I was gonna call the police because obviously he stole my money without fixing my device.He got scared though and I got my money back!

Well you take your computer in for a low FPS issue when you are gaming, I get the product back after spending 150$ to have this repaired...... Not only did they not fix the problem, it took me about 10 minutes of looking at the Firemark Benchmark score to clearly see that Im getting 1/4th the score I should have on the machine, Its an I7 6700k with a gtx 1080 inside of it, anyone could of looked up the average score with just those 2 components and clearly could of seen something was wrong with those numbers..... especially after they fixed it, Im going to seek a refund for the work on it or cancel the payment on my card because clearly there was no work done on it for the amount that was paid, If you want my opinion stay away from this place at all costs!!!!!

I dont normally write reviews, but my experience wasnt the best. I called on a Wednesday morning and told them I was having virus issues with my laptop. I was quoted $50 over the phone so I brought my laptop in that morning. I didnt get a call back until Thursday morning and they told me it was indeed a virus and now the total was $140. I had to have my laptop for school so I payed the 140. When I got home that evening and turned it on everything worked fine and it was running faster but I was unable to access the internet and it said I was blocked. Frustrated because I had multiple assignments due that evening (luckily I was able to submit through my phone), I called back on Friday morning and told them my issue. They told me I needed to disconnect my internet and reconnect it (which I had done twice as well as restarted it). They then told me to bring the laptop back in. So later that afternoon I brought it in and they practically grabbed it from me and hurried my out the door and said I most likely wouldnt have it back that evening. Finally Saturday morning I get a call that the problem was resolved and my laptop was ready. Everything runs fine now, but I just wasnt impressed with the service, or the time. Wednesday morning to Saturday morning to remove a virus, and $90 more than I was quoted over the phone seemed too much to me. I guess everyones experiences are different but I probably will try to find another place if I ever need work done to my laptop.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE WITH YOUR BUSINESS!!I cracked my iPhone 4s screen and took it to these guys to get the screen replaced. They fixed it, and when I got home the screen had yellow lines all over it and the speaker did not function properly (I could not hear anybody on the other line with the volume all the way up). So I take it back the next day for them to fix again, they fixed it for the 2nd time and half way home it completely goes black then starts flashing and colors all over the place! So I take it back for the 3rd time and they proceed to try and fix it again and I get all the way home and it does the same thing again!! Long story short I took my phone else where after getting my money back and will NEVER go there again.

Dont trust them go ANYWHERE else! Took my laptop in for simple brightness diagnostic and when I came back to pick it up it was split wide open. Employee claimed I brought it in annihilated and coming apart with shattered screen, broken cd tray, and separated case. If that was the case It would not have required a diagnosis costing $100 - I would have gone and bought a new one. When the owner arrived he was wearing a pornographic t-shirt and towered over me while trying to verbally intimidate me before agreeing to fix the issue. The store cameras recorded his employees dropping the laptop. I agreed but not feeling good about the way he handled it I walked back in only to find the sketchy owner driving a screwdriver through my laptops screen. That visit showed me how petty and dishonest the owner and his staff are. The cost of the laptop is less than the cost of a lawyer so I let it go, but dont fall victim to these apparent hoods.

Took my Iphone4s into to Brett he told me. I can get it done in 30 to 40 mins. he did get it done but i had to return it 5 times. First its was the proximity sensor, after that was fixed the power button stop working then the battery stopped holding a charge. Long story short it took 5 times before, I gave up and havent looked back.Take your phone to Brett and it will never work again

Horrible time, said they fixed by replacing a video card that ended up burning out a week later, and the replacement a week after that. After 3 nvidia cards from them i ordered an asus ati card and has worked great since. Beware they are crooked. After I took some net classes I learned the card they were selling me isnt as compatible as they said.
