I just completed my Hybrid Open Water certification last weekend. Matt was so helpful and patient in helping selecting the right gear, guiding our small group through the necessary skills to be learned. It was an intense 3-day weekend but what an awesome experience! Breathing underwater opens such a vast new world to discover. I’m glad I went with Aquatic Adventures: they have a team of skilled and friendly professionals, security is their top priority, and they share with you their passion for diving. Next weekend: Advanced Open Water Certification!

All the people at Aquatic Adventures Scuba Academy are so great to work with! I signed up for my Advanced Scuba Open Water cert with them and not only was it easy, but they made it super fun!The classwork was all on line, and so is super convenient. The open water dives were done at Lake Phoenix Scuba Park in Rawlilngs, VA over the weekend. The Aquatic Adventures staff have a great setup down there so the access to the water is easy.All diving was organized and felt very safe. In fact, it was some of the most fun diving Ive had!I will absolutely be recommending Aquatic Adventures Scuba to friends and intend to use them for any future certifications I look to complete.

I went around 2 other places prior to coming here. April and team were by far the most helpful in getting me geared up and fitted after I told them my preferences. Great customer service overall. I highly recommend you shop here!!

My partner and I just purchased a full SCHBA gear set for an upcoming move to an island in Oceania. Co-owner Mark was very helpful and patient with all our questions, and didn’t try to oversell or upsell us. I highly recommend this shop! Prices were equal to or better than online stores on most items.

Aquatic Adventures Scuba Academy is awesome. We had a great experience and the staff ensure we started our scuba adventure on a strong foundation. The store is well stocked and has lots of options for the beginner to the expert. We look forward to our next adventure.June 2021 Update: Aquatic Adventures Scuba Academy continues to impress. We had a great experience during the Peak Performance Buoyancy course. Roberto taught us the skills and then gave us the opportunity to test those skills. I could not have asked for a better course and experience.

I did my PADI open water certification, as well as my advanced open water certification through Aquatic Adventures. Ive also done a trip through their dive shop (to Cozumel). The instruction is awesome (Cheryl is a fantastic teacher and makes you feel at ease throughout the whole learning experience, as well as the certification dives) and the dive shop has everything you need (including rentals for trips!), or can easily order one off items. I also recommend their dive trips - everything is planned for you, and the prices are very reasonable.

Marc provided great, laid-back instruction and unrushed pool time for a Discover SCUBA course. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I got certified in November. We had the best experience and learned so much. Matt, April, and their team are such a delight and so incredibly knowledgeable. We cannot wait to put our scuba cert to work and hopefully go on a trip with the Aquatic Adventure crew!

Wonderful shop! I was able to get myself, my girlfriend, and her friend certified here! They have an absolutely amazing team and we had a wonderful experience. Very patient and understanding instructors who are willing to put in the time and effort one-on--one with their students.

My husband and I got certified here, bought our equipment here and have gone on dive trips sponsored by Aquatic Adventures. I found them helpful and knowledgeable. I would do business/vacation with them again.The diver trips we went on tended to run to a more mature crowd and safety was always a number one focus. As new divers we felt we had a lot of support from both the group and the leader of the trip.We have had our gear serviced here and feel we received good service in a timely manner.

I couldnt be more impressed with this team! I have always dreamed of scuba diving and was so excited for my first day however I panicked as soon as I went under water. I thought that was it, scuba must not be for me and was afraid of slowing down the training for everyone. Lucky for me, I was with the most patient and understanding group of people I have met since moving to this area. They pulled me aside and worked one on one with me until I could calmly go under water, catch up with skills and go back with the rest of the group. They answered all of my nervous questions and made sure my husband and I felt 100% confident before we were done. Thanks to their help, knowledge, experience, understanding and patience I feel so ready for our next dive in open water. I am, now again, so excited to go scuba diving and I know I am more than prepared.Thank you guys for making it such a great experience!

My son and I recently did our PADI Open Water certification with Aquatic Adventures at Lake Phoenix in VA. Not only was the location spectacularly beautiful, but Cheryl and her team were the BEST, most HELPFUL, FRIENDLIEST, most KNOWLEDGEABLE, KINDEST, and most AMAZING group of instructors and dive masters that you would ever hope to learn from or work with!!! From the first moment, they put you at ease by explaining every step thoroughly before you even got in the water. They helped adjust our equipment, gave useful tips, and told funny stories of when they were learning. Additionally, Cheryl cooked the absolute BEST meals for supper each night, and considering how exhausted I felt after diving each day, that was a wonderful bonus. I cannot express my appreciation enough for each of the instructors and master divers - there were actually MORE of them than of students so everyone received personalized attention. A special THANK YOU to Cheryl for her support and encouragement when I was feeling sick and to Joanne and April for their help with my last dive!! I couldnt have done it without them!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Aquatic Adventures and their professional staff for all your SCUBA diving needs.
