Honestly, my experience today I did not like it at all because one of the cashiers named Shannon was very rude and attended as reluctantly and so with those experiences you dont even want to go shopping again, one prefers to look for other stores, one hopes that they will attend to it. in a way not as ugly as taking it out on customers sincerely they need new customer serviceThats why ill give one Star
5 stars to 1. I have never been to such a terrible store and will never go back.
We some from Utah and shopped at Smiths all the time. When we moved to Oregon i was in need for their delectable Garlic Bread. We traveled here and I was not disappointed. I walked in, and just as I had remembered, there was the Garlic Bread I needed to fulfill my taste buds request.Apart from that, a normal grocery / retail store with clothing and food galore.Decently clean, helpful staff, and we finally found that welcome mat weve been looking for.
I shop here somewhat regularly. Usually things go as expected. Today I picked up a wide range of things from housewares to groceries. When I got home I noticed one of the bags was damp and found that one of the California mandarins in the 3 pound bag of Cuties I purchased wasnt just spoiled....it was mush and oozed all over the bag. After washing everything else in the bag, I thought I had better let the store know so they could check the rest of their stock.Customer Service put me through to the produce department, where the phone rang for about five minutes. I opted then to post this review. I didnt necessarily want a refund or anything like that. I just wanted to let them know about a problem they might have. It became a hassle for me as well.
Wah wah.. I am a triggered crybaby.
Hey maybe if youre going to be closed at 10 instead of 11 the f at night you could change the hours online because 15 people have been turned the f away in just a few min. Thanks for being the most expensive place to buy groceries.
Fred Meyer is always consistent and predictable. I can usually find exactly what Im looking for... Except for fried jalapeño salad toppers. They used to sell them but apparently, not any more. Ive looked the last three times Ive been there and nothing. No such luck.
Great place to shop awesome customer service.
Ill just tell you my experience. I walked in at 8:40 through the garden center entrance and the cashier was sitting on one side of the register with his feet up on the other side- face buried in his phone. When I walked past he told me I had 20 minutes before they locked the door. About ten minutes later I come back to the register with a few items and ask if his register is still open. He just stares at me and says nothing- still sitting on top of his register and as I start to load it onto the belt the cashier tells me to leave it in the cart and bring it over to him where he scans them without getting up. I asked if he was like this every night and he said yup. He told me to have a wonderful night, suddenly filled with sarcastic energy.Well, thats what happened... Scott was his name, 1/4/21, 8:40 - 8:55. I had a great day working 10+ hours in my own customer service job so personally I have no empathy for his childlike behavior. I wonder how you might feel
I would like to acknowledge your cashier Scott, for his patience and empathy for the elderly couple in front of me in line. It was so refreshing to see his kindness. Sometimes, taking an extra minute or two is not only appreciated by the customer but those around them. Thank you.
Its always a great experience to shop at Fred Meyer the people are friendly and kind
Good, basic customer service. The employees are always working on something, but many of them arent very engaging while talked too. But whatever, thats not that big of a deal when the store has pretty much everything you could want to make up for that.
Horrible customer service (aside from the lady I encountered at customer service, she was very nice and apologetic). They label products with the wrong price so that when you get up to cash out you look like an idiot (and they treat you like one as well). Went to buy 2 blankets that were labeled for $7.99, as clearly picture below, and they rang up for $9.98 roughly. I mentioned that they were labeled otherwise and that I could go and grab the price tag or a photo really quick and I was told no and that they would call the manager. After to explaining to the manager, and a couple of mmhhmm, the cashier said Yea thats what I thought, hung up and told me I was wrong and asked if I still wanted to purchase them, to which I replied no. I was frustrated because this isnt the first time this has happened at this location. So I went, snapped a picture of the tag with the blankets visible, grabbed two of the ones I had earlier and went to customer service. When I got there, the lady helping me (Im sorry I cant remember her name because she was very nice) explained that maybe the math was done wrong but that it was clearly labeled $7.99. She honored the price and apologized the the situation. That interaction is the ONLY reason I did not rate this lower. I know it seems silly to make a big deal over a few dollars but its not that. I work in customer service and I would never dream of talking to a customer who is trying to explain something like that. The cashier and her boss should take notes from the lovely lady in the customer service area.
The store is a clean and safe environment. Good prices and good products!
Worst incompetent workers I have ever seen in a fred meyers !!!!!!!!
With your COVID-19 shots, you dont need to wear a mask. Thank you Fred Meyer.
Employee working the carry-out was wearing a loose bandana instead of a mask. I didnt feel safe. When Ive gone inside the store Ive often seen customers not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. I dont feel like Kroger cares about their customers or employees.
Loved their curbside pickup service! Their app was simple to shop on and I was able to choose a time to pickup my groceries the next morning. I hope this service continues beyond COVID because it’s awesome!
I have been a long-time loyal Fred Meyer shopper who has probably spent thousands of dollars here over the last 15 years and today I experienced something that made me not want to shop here anymore. Fred Meyer, like most major retailers, has a large loss prevention system in-place to help avoid loss due to theft. These items include locked cabinets, dozens of security cameras, and hidden devices on certain products that set off alarms when they ae not removed or deactivated, as well as loss prevention officers who monitor the store. Id imagine millions of dollars have been invested in this gigantic loss-prevention system in stores throughout the country, so I do not understand why certain employees are charged with labeling paying customers as a high-risk for theft.Today I discovered that there is something about the way I look that made the store think I was a high risk for theft. I rang a bell to summon an employee who could fetch a bike lock and handlebar grips, which totaled roughly $30, and I planned to make my way to electronics and then apparel afterwards to complete my shopping. The manager that came to help me initially refused to give me the requested items and said he would hold them at a checkout for me for when I decided to pay. I explained that I had other shopping to do and wasnt interested in stealing bicycle parts. He continued to push and made me feel very uncomfortable and guilty. After a short and polite back-and-forth, he relented and allowed me to carry $30 worth of merchandise in my cart which already contained roughly $200 worth of other misc. household and food items. After this highly uncomfortable encounter, I continued shopping but couldnt help notice the loss-prevention staff following me and watching my every move. I finally wrapped up my shopping and made my way to the self-checkout. After scanning all of my items, I requested an attendant to remove all of the security devices off of the items I was purchasing, and she refused to do it until I swiped my card and paid for the transaction. I found this odd because I still needed to purchase bags, but this employee was so concerned that I was a thief that she bypassed the bag purchase, and told me my bags were free today.Ive been an Information Technology specialist serving article 3 judges and state representatives for 22 years and have been trusted to maintain systems that include highly sensitive information, but today I learned that Fred Meyer believes Im a thief because of the way I look when Im in comfortable attire. I feel horrible and I dont feel like Fred Meyer deserves another penny of my hard earned money. Shame on you for making your customers feel like this when you have a multi-million dollar loss prevention system in place.
Quality wise this is the worst Fred Meyers location I have been to.Ive bought cereal here that was 7 months past the expiration date!Dairy products such as string cheese & cottage cheese are of significant lower quality as well.I would love to give Fred Meyers 5 stars at it is usually my go to place for all types of shopping but sadly I will look elsewhere in this area until this location is improved.
Bought an oil heater that was 50% off. When I got home and plugged it in, it made non stop noises. I’ve owned three oil heaters in my life and non of them made incessant noises like this peace of junk. Called Fred Meyer the next day to see if I could get a refund because I threw away the receipt as I assumed the heater would work properly. The customer service lady who answered the phone had to transfer me to the home department to see about refund. The guy I talked to in the home department asked if I used my rewards card which I did so he said I could get a refund because it would track my payment. Once I arrived at Fred Meyers and waited ten mins in line for customer service they had a manager named Brian from the home department come and tell me that since my product contained oil there could be no refund. However, I could come back tomorrow and talk to a manager in a higher position then him. Like wow, I will never ever buy anything from that store again in my life and I will go out of my way to convince my friends and family to do the same.
Yesterday afternoon I was in for a quick moment to get my girlfriend some roses for her birthday today. Took them home, cut them and had them in a base with the provided gel. Today the are completely falling apart.
Had an experience with a disgruntled worker here. Today the cashier named Abbie at aisle 5, first took off her mask and stepped out from behind the checkout stand and glass. She proceeds yawn right in my girlfriends face, after moving back to the register tells me I shouldnt be buying a case of tp and a pack of sanitary wipes at the same time. I tell her they are two separate products for two separate uses. She doesnt reply then starts to accidentally start dropping items such as my pizza, eggnog, and candy bar. All at 3 separate times. I wouldnt keep someone as unstable as her working there.
Love the benefits of shopping with rebates.I saved $9 as a bonus for the best price on everything that your saved from going to Walmart for.
The store director (Kelsey) picks on employees and is rude towards customers.
Same as any other store lately bare bones and theyre trying to get you to spend more than you need
Many employees and stockers arent practicing social distancing and dont wear masks or wear them in a way that does absolutely nothing. An employee at self-checkout actually asked me to remove my mask while she was standing right next to me so she could see my face better to check my ID. Im 35 with plenty of gray hair!
Today at this location I was the victim of racial profiling. Keri at the store treated me as if I was a thief when I’ve never stolen anything a day in my life. I spoke to the store manager Alicia and she was very unhelpful and didn’t seem to care about my experience at all. She said she would talk to their manager but no future action was taken. I used to love Fred Meyer, but they’ve showed their true racist colors today. I went back and returned everything I bought. And I will not come back to this location or any other.
We came in today and had the pleasure of having Michelle as our check out person. She was extremely kind and funny! She made our shopping experience really great. Thank you Michelle!!
Amazing staff, always helpful and available! We will not shop for our Provisions anywhere else! We have been clients for 10 years and have not had a negative experience yet! The benefits awarded to us by utilizing our membership cards are phenomenal and catered to our shopping needs, we do not just receive coupons for random stuff we will never use. In fact we receive coupons only for items we regularly purchase. Ultimately though it is the employees that keep us coming back. The gas attendants, the pharmacy staff, the retail floor folks, customer service, produce, deli, all OUTSTANDING! Thank you for years of welcoming and attentive service. We appreciate you!
Generally good but Black Friday not so muchSeriously the tape was tacky and unorganized at that ! I doubt it was Fred’s idea .And they have no respect for their eldersCheap socks and slippers aren’t worth it anymore .
We came in at 9:00 am with three kids looking for rain boots and a toddler coat. The store was clean and really well stocked. We were successful in finding a great coat and boots. We also enjoyed some yummy donuts! I would for sure come back!
Kyle, kelsi, stephanie, and whoever else manages that store are mentally challenged.
Not bad inventory for location of Fred Myers. Only issue was the lack of information from the staff In the garden section.
Who agrees that valued customers should be treated as valued customers? We had a small issue with the charges and went back to ask if we could fix it. The customer service woman was not happy to help. She, in fact said this is the ONLY time they would fix it for us because it takes sooo much time, and was scowling the whole time! It took just couple minutes, lol. I smiled the whole time and still thanked her. Hoping all future visits will be more friendly.
Always have stuff I buy on sale. Theyll send you coupons for those same items. Have a mega event m buy 5 get another $1.00 off. Ive saved over 1/2 lots of time. Got ice cream for 50cents 💚
Cash checks for low cost, plenty of good prices, not just food, but also merchandise, and you can order online with an acct.
Very hard to get to the areas I needed, they were stocking in the produce area & I was unavailable to get the organic food I needed. It seemed I was in the way. I also was unsuccessful shopping in the cheese & bacon area, the lady stocking that area, is very nice but she was visiting with an aquantant & she had carts stopped down from where she was visiting so I was unable to get the groceries I need there. The cashier that helped me was very nice & efficient. My shopping experience is usually very good, this was probably just as off day. Usually the people stocking dont consume the whole area.
Terrible customer service experience. Recieved shoes for Christmas for me and my two sons from my mom. So I had four pairs of shoes that were the wrong size. I came in to just do a simple exchange, well what I thought was a simple exchange turned into two trips coming back to the store after receiving a condescending tone from the customer service desk the first time I was there. Was only able to return one pair of shoes at a very discounted rate and was unable to return the other three thus leaving me with three pairs of shoes that are not even usable. I will not be buying any thing from any of their stores in the foreseeable future and I will be telling everyone I know about this experience. Thanks Fred Meyer for absolutely nothing.
Had an odd situation made right by Nick, the store manager. Thank you so much for the time. Also props to bow tie guy, didn’t catch your name but you were incredibly helpful too.-Dezerae and Shyvonne
I had problems finding one in item and two employees took the time to help me out. It was really important because I was shopping for Instantacart and its important to get the items as quickly as possible for the customer. Great customer service Q street Fred Meyer! Hope to see you get someone
This Fred Meyers store is smaller than the Eugene stores, yet I find what I need most of the time. Aesthetically, the store could use a face lift, but I prefer their produce prices & quality over stores close by. The pharmacy is usually overwhelmed so be sure to expect a bit of a wait. I love shopping their clearance section, otherwise I find the prices a bit inflated.
Went in here for a pair of shoes and nobody was working. I found and asked someone for help... they called someone for help... I waited... they called somebody for help again and again I waited 15 minutes with no help. Wont go back.
First about the folks in the pharmacy, they are really helpful and courteous. Really glad I come here for my familys perscriptions. The store itself is busy but the lines move very quickly. Great place to do your shopping.
The store is fine but it’s the cashier we got. Her name is danelle and she was very rude. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or she’s just very inpatient. I also noticed that she was very rude to the people that were in the line in front of us. Their card wouldn’t go through and she was being very rude about it. I rate the store a 5 but her definitely a 1 and if I could I would rate her a 0
Very clean store. Courteous staff. Very organized and well stocked. Fast check out. All around a pleasant shopping experience. Congrats to staff and management!
Every day: Great deals, quality meats and produce and helpful staff. I can always find something different and unique too.
This Fred Meyer location truly excels in customer service. The associates are friendly, helpful and caring. This store is stocked, the meat case has a great selection, the produce is fresh and the selection is fantastic.
I normally shop here and it is a good experience. However, currently the management is not enforcing social distancing rules, and today’s experience was negative and felt very unsafe. The aisles were crowded with people going both directions., people were crowding at the registers, unattended children were running up and down the aisles, and Probably only 1/2 of patrons had masks on. Two unmasked women were coughing all over the merchandise.. I won’t be back until more steps are taken to ensure employee and patron safety.
Seems very busy between 1pm and 4pm and hard to find a a parking spot. The parking lot structure is not very user friendly and difficult to find spots. They various departments that make it a one stop shop. Overall a good place to find good produce or recycle bottles and cans.
The store has good pricing, gas reward points & almost anything you want/need. The phone app for coupons need to be easier to use though.
Worst customer service I’ve ever received. Lady at the desk was never helpful. Lied to me ver the phone saying I could return my items but when I got to the store she refused to return them. Will not be shopping at this store because obviously they don’t care about their customers. Went to the store on 11th ave in eugene and their return policies are obviously different because they helped me out with no issues.
Aside from being a bit dated, this is a great location. The employees have always been helpful and friendly and I absolutely love their clearance deals. You can always find killer deals on things ranging from housewares, to clothes, to food. Full price items seem a bit spendy but they always have a lot of sales going so its not hard to find a deal.
Convenient location and great layout. When the bulk of the store is busy, you can use the West side entrance for check out. Theres more than adequate parking on that side too.
Some of their prices are a bit expensive, but they do have some good sales. People are nice but try to find someone in apparel or home improvement department when you need help... GOOD LUCK
Would have given 5 stars accept couldnt find anyone available in hardware / auto to help me. I felt like I was the only one in the store besides one other customer
I dont understand why, but seriously, EVERY time I come here to buy...well, anything...EVERY TIME, the wait at checkout takes just as long--if not, longer--than the shopping itself did... Doesnt matter what time of day, what day of the month... Theres got to be a way for them to speed this process up somehow... Other than that, the prices are generally competitive, and I am almost always able to find what I was looking for... Its just the God-awful wait at checkout....
The recent remodel has turned this store into an unmanageable behemoth especially for those with ambulatory issues. The old format had things better arranged by department and things were much easier to find and more user-friendly. It now looks a more like a warehouse outlet. I dont enjoy shopping there now.
Its okay for some groceries but not all not very competitive. They could do pricing equal to stores in Springfield not Eugene which seems to be higher priced.
I went in to have a watch band sized. The gal was very helpful and pleasant. Would recommend to anyone.
The store is very large and they have just about everything you might want. Two people are kind and courteous that work there. Its a great store.
No star bucksThey did have a coffee bar though.SmallI got what I needed.Produce lady very nice
I go to this Freds often because its close. I often leave feeling that I should have taken the time to drive the additional 5 miles to the cleaner, updated, and better stocked Freds. I get frustrated that things I need are out of stock or they have stopped carrying. REMODEL PLEASE!
Why are the pumps self service when pump attendants are still being paid and have been the only ones that touch pumps? Maybe its above my pay grade; but Im not quite understanding the reason/logic behind this decision.
I love this store. Yes the prices are higher then Winco or Walmart. But, their produce is better. The meat counter is better, and their store brand is better. Plus their clerks are a whole lot better! Friendly and willing to help!
Very clean store. Their selection of paperback books awesome. Friendly and courteous employees. Fresh produce then other stores.
Really impressed with Miles in the outdoor section he was extremely helpful and made my day.... A++++++ customer serviceAlso the wine barrel planters look amazing in my yard
Good selection and a variety of price points. A decent grocery with clothing and shoes which are good values during a sale, otherwise a little on the pricey side. Hardware, auto, really just a little of everything.
Used to shop here alot for about 2-3 years I absolutely love this store!!
The Associate was friendly and very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for.
All the staff are friendly. The food and other items are reasonably priced. The store is a little old and some of the racks and such could be replaced, but all in all it presents a pleasant shopping experience. The lego selection is fairly wide (important to me). And last, but not least, it has free bags! With handles. No more shopping in Eugene for me.
Didnt find what we came for but still managed to spend $100 ! Helpful staff in the electronic section. Autumn items now in stock including nice sized pumpkins.
Great one stop shopping with decent prices and a Farley good variety of different things. Always have good bulk prices and a good selection of Organic foods for better prices than some of the similar stores.
Love this store! Very organized & clean. Employees are very helpful and friendly
Its fine. Not excellent, not terrible. Decent healthy food section near front of store.
Pretty standard fredMeyers well laid out pharmacy close to either entrance not at the back like in others but a (in my opinion) awful policy which Im sure has some good reason that I just dont know of,they start blocking off checkstand once it starts getting late and there type of late is around five pm.I know its sucks so much have you walk to the end of the line of check stands but I just think they need to start it later. But overall all its a normal fredMeyers and a drive through pharmacy I think Ive never gone through it my self and in finality its gas station which is somewhat oddly placed to the side by its still really easy to get and out of.
Nice store. We got a super deal on a whole Salmon filleted and sectioned courtesy of a masterful Butcheress. Thanks Torii.
Its a local department store. Knowing how to shop the sales helps the wallet. Staff is helpful. Kroger brand foods owned. Money spent earns points towards rewards like savings in gas.
I ordered a birthday cake with chocolate frosting for my husband and I got an off white frosting with a response of that is chocolate, I saw the girl make it myself this morning. She had to add chocolate flavor to what we had. No apologies. Plus, I had to have bakery paged twice after waiting 5 mins befor I could get someone to find help. No more orders from this family! 😣
Quick in and out food market. Pharmacy was quick also. Nice and courteous employees.
This pharmacy has the best hours of any in town, and the selection of groceries is the most diverse. The bulk coffee could be fresher.
Humbly fancy. Even though they didnt have three of the four things I was looking for, I was impressed by the overall experience, cleanliness, selection, staff, and even customers!
Most employees were friendly and helpful...store has wonderful variety...great brands...would have givin 5 stars...but the cashier was a total a**hole...
Ive shopped at Fred Meyer in Springfield for many years but have become very disappointed in their customer service and the products they sell! I cant tell you how many times I have come home with food items only to find the item expired a month or more ago! I always call them to let them know so they can remove any other items. I never get a Im sorry this happened or even a Thank you for letting us know. Im done shopping at their store!
Love the produce section. So fresh and local. Great coupon shopping with the App.
Fred Meyers...A friendly atmosphere. Services members were courteous . Good selection of various products .
Their gas station is cheap and they have a great rewards system down to save money and you always do just for using your phone number. I enjoy going here, they do the funky thing of, if you pull up to the wrong side of the pump they will reach the hose to the fuel door anyhow.
Great place for convenient one stop shopping. Great sales and gotta love the free Friday deals! Great staff!
Fred Meyer in Springfield, Oregon is one of the friendliest places. A bank, ATM, jewelry store, Duck clothing, groceries, housewares, toys and a pharmacy are all inside. Free parking too.
I love Fred Meyer clearance prices. You cant beat it. Fred Meyer has currently in season clothes on clearance. Its fantastic to get a deal like that.
So evidently if you are fat you can no longer buy clothes at freddys as they are discontinuing their Big and Tall section. So it looks as if you have to buy online where you wont know the fit of the clothes before buying.
Enjoyed visit. Clean store, friendly n helpful employees. Good selsctions
Good price on money orders and dang near the best prices on gas in town! Even when the lines are long it goes pretty smoothly.
Great deal on socks, buy one get 2nd one for 1/2 price and they have some Michael Morgan mens socks 5 pack for $5.00 and yes the second pack was 1/2 off!
Great place to get gas. Easy to join rewards plan but not the cheapest store in town.
The costumer service wasnt bad! I would say the price range for cloths is more near to high than low; there are a lot of significant sales, but some things even on sale can be a little high priced.
Seems like the 2nd time Ive got bad gas from here. Going to do some more tests and if it turns out its something mechanical and/or sensor related and not the gas. ( or employee not putting cap on correctly.) If its one of those things and not the gas being bad I will remove / edit post.
