I have to say i enjoy going to this range. Very friendly staff. Recently i had the experience of taking a ccw class and enjoyed listening to the instructor. Not only was he very knowledgeable but very personable as well. I seen some places charge as much as $150.00 for a class. NOT HERE. Stop in and see them for yourself. I was so impressed i decided to get the membership.

When it used to be part of the Miami Valley Shooting Grounds, the staff was friendlier and the rates were cheaper. I have been taking my now 12 year old son there for years and do to his age they would always only charge one lane fee. I hadnt been for a while and decided to stop in and do some shooting with my son. The guy at the counter wanted to ring up 2 adult fees for one lane and when questioned told me new owners policy was everyone pays regardless of age for the all day pass. 1) a family being parent and child or husband and wife who wish to share a lane, only one person is shooting at a time and generally one is actively instructing the other. It is ridiculous to charge per person rather than just per lane anyway, but to try and charge full price or at all for a child you are trying to teach proper gun handling and safety to while introducing them to shooting is, to me, a poor policy and does nothing to promote family shooting. 2) no one that I know is going to spend much over an hour shooting anyway unless they are wealthy enough to waste that much ammo. Most of the time a hundred or so rounds is a practice session, so I would prefer they go back to a flat hourly rate for a lane and say maybe 3 person max on that lane for a reasonable price. Charging $16 per person regardless of age for one lane is robbery and they know it. 3) ammo prices are absorbent and they should be ashamed of the mark up they put on it. In conclusion, we left that day without shooting at this facility, and will not return unless they make some policy changes. I recommend you go to Miami Valley Shooting Grounds, Fox Shooting Loft or anywhere else but here and possibly they will change their policies when it hurts their pocketbooks. This is a nice facility and I hope the owner comes to his senses and starts to do his part to promote the shooting sports rather than take advantage of customers.

I’ve been going to this range for several years. I have attended an all day class and have had a firearm transacted thru them. The staff are friendly and professional and the owner goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. I feel very comfortable there and will continue shooting there as often as I can.

Called for information. Talked with Ken he was rude short and didn’t let me finish a sentence therefore didn’t take the time to answer. I waited my turn on hold. Since I’m a woman I guess he figures she doesn’t know anything. We have spent lots of money in past but under this new management I won’t go back. Your loss. If I could give no star I would.

From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with respect and care. None of my questions were treated as trivial and the gentleman that helped me was very informative while never being condescending or treating me differently because I am a female. I felt safe while shooting at the range by myself because I knew they were right there to assist me & they did. I was also given information on a women’s shooting club, which I am very interested in.I would recommend that anyone, especially females visit Mad River Armory if you’re interested in learning how to handle a weapon, buy a weapon or just rent one of theirs and shoot off some rounds. I will definitely be returning to them in order for me to become more comfortable with my weapon and carrying it for mine and my families protection.

My wife and I are new to the firearm arena, and referred to Mad River by Delta Armory. We read the reviews before we went, and very much on the “expecting disappointment” as shown in the reviews. For those who wrote those negative reviews, you were WRONG. Everyone at Mad River Armory and Range was helpful and friendly. My wife took a beginners shooters class and was very pleased. We both used the range, and the fees are very competitive, even for Non-members. I have purchased a handgun and was helped by very knowledgeable staff who recommended a brand that was not the most expensive nor the cheapest either. Another staff member then helped us pick out the additional gear, hearing protection, gun holders and range bag. And again, he did not go after the most expensive items, but was very good at understanding what we were needing. Mad River is a Great Business with a Great Staff and is highly recommended by my wife and myself for any of your firearm needs.

I came to this range 2 years ago. Since then skip and his staff have given their very best. I have gained so much knowledge on guns and safety. They have a wide selection of guns and accessories. I have absolutely zero experience with guns so today I took the “First Time Shooter” course with Jack and couldn’t be more pleased. The course was about 2 hours long and covered everything that a new shooter would need to know about using a firearm safely. Jack took the time to make sure I felt comfortable throughout the process and did an awesome job presenting the material in a safe way that made it easy to follow. He was awesome! When it came time to actually shoot, we used a separate range in the building which also helped ease my anxiety about shooting. Overall I was very pleased with this experience and will be going back to this range for future classes. I highly recommend this class for any first time shooter!

Jack was our instructor and he was very good at showing us things that we have been doing wrong for a long time. I will recommend him to everyone that wants to learn to shoot a gun. We visited Mad River Armorys range today to sight in a gun. The owner and staff were very attentive. Some of the indoor ranges are still pretty cold when the temperature drops. My wife was shocked that it was almost hot in the range despite being 13 degrees outside. The day lane rental for $28 for two people was awesome. We shot for almost 5 hours and had a great time.

The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are willing to take the time to make sure you find the best firearm for your needs. The guns are very reasonably priced. Ive not found cheaper prices in the area. The shooting range is very clean. It is cleaned every week, to make it the best shooting experiance around. A very high focus on safety, so all shooters have a great time!

Very disappointed and will not return. Visited the website. Saw 2 separate things that I was not only interested in but would have purchased - if I had not gotten a runaround AND bait and switch from the employees. I had looked at the website and saw the items advertised. I went to the store to purchase them. After looking and not seeing the items, I inquired. After the second inquiry, I mentioned that I saw the items on their website and was then told well, it is two separate operations. WHAT!? I have never heard or seen such a bait and switch outside of a used car lot. Advertise on your website, but the items are not available? Once I started getting the runaround and excuses from the less-than-friendly staff and owner, I left. If you live in the Dayton area, there are better options than Mad River and ones that cost less. IF there was a way to do zero stars, I would. Google requires at least one star - but they are not even worth that. Dont waste your time with this business - honest dealers are available and they deserve the business

I am fairly new to the shooting sports. When I went in I had a lot of questions before I made a purchase. I would have to disagree with many of the reviews here. Skip spent a lot of time listening and answering every question that I had from home defense to CC, from caliber to capacity, from ammo to cleaning.Ive find that his prices are better than most when it comes to handguns and rifles. Before purchasing I did my due diligence, Point Blank, Vandalia Armory, AIM Surplus, Vances and found his price to be either competitive or below other distributors.The ability to shoot multiple guns while paying only one rental fee was a plus. Other places Ive been charge a rental fee per firearm shot. The only additional fee was ammo for different calibers.Thanks Skip for your assistance and will definitely be a repeat customer.

I have to say this place was awesome! I live in Pennsylvania but come to Springfield Ohio to visit my mother, and I wanted to go shooting and she bought me to Mad River Armory and Range. I loved the fact the there was a safety. The safety video helped us better explain to my 12 year son how gun safety works. I have to admit he hated the fact that he had to wear ear plugs, ear phones and eye wear but as a mother I didnt care made him do it anyway😂 😂😂The place was clean, friendly atmosphere, and I believe I found the place Im gonna go very time I visit my mom.

Absolutely the best experience! Skip, Shawn and Jack have been so fantastic in helping me with my knowledge and experience. I feel more comfortable and have taken two lessons and plan to complete the CCW there. Shawn and Jack were my two instructors so far and I couldnt say enough about how well they have taught me and how much better I have become since day one. Skip is very knowledgeable about all of the items. I have found the prices very reasonable and on par with my expectations but the customer service has been well above!

I live in Columbus and work in Springfield this place is amazing friendly staff, knowledgeable and takes the time with each customer to understand their needs . Plenty of places in Columbus to purchase and shoot but I’ll be doing both at this range .

The range is available every time I come out there. I drive from Canal Winchester to meet friends from Dayton. They are curious and informative.

Great place for indoor range practice. You probably wont find any better pricing around for firearms if you are serious about a purchase, (unless youre a law enforcement officer.) All classes that are offered are taught by certified instructors that have years of experience and treat their students with all due respect in the class room and the range. This is the first place to go to for all things firearms related. Ive been to other ranges with sales counters, and MRA is the most comfortable experience around. Every one that Ive met on the range is very informative and I feel quite comfortable with those who use this range on a regular basis.

Best run Glock matches in the region. Also lowest priced ones. Great crew signing you in, running the range and scoring.Safety is number one here and that is great for both the novice and experienced shooter. The owner and his crew are professional yet friendly and always willing to answer questions. Also have great variety of guns and accessories to buy in-store or on-line.

Cant count how many times Ive visited the range love the atmosphere inside reminds me of a hunting lodge. The owner thanked me personally and installed the sights that I had purchased for my eagle 15. Very helpful. Also took my fiancee here they were very insistent on safety and made sure she watched a video to know exactly how the range works. Very satisfied and would recommend their services and prices to anyone and everyone.

The owner is very rude. He has a I know more than you persona about him. I had oerdered a gun that theu did not have in stock and was told 3 weeks for it to he dilivered to them. 4 weeks had passed and he told me that he did not have may idea where my order was. Called the company selling the gun directly and was told there was no order sent to them for that gun. He tried to fight me on the return when I wanted my money back.

I love this place, the owner and his team do everything possible to keep the shooters safe. They have rules in place to do so, even though sometimes the rules may affect How we want to do it they are in place for a reason. I personally am GLAD he has these rules to keep me SAFE! I love this range! Skip has been great with our 4-H group kids. We go every other Sunday and are usually there about 2 hrs. 2 HOT 2 TROT gives MadRiver 2 thumbs up!

I have to disagree with the one review about Mad River employees not wanting women to participate in shooting. I started shooting in Sept. I was shown the utmost respect by everyone at the range. All of the employees are super supportive and encourage women shooters. Mad River hosts the womens shooting league A Girl and a Gun. We have meetings there 3 or more times per month. Skip was offering a girls night out when he first opened the range. Skip, Jack, Mike and now Sean and Paul are there to answer questions and help in any way they canEVERYONE at the range is super conscious of SAFETY. I would hope that if I were doing something that was unsafe, even if it was a temporary lapse, that one of them would point it out to me for the safety of everyone in the range. There have been several occasions when they have called a cease fire due to something unsafe in the range. I am sorry you felt humiliated. I hope Skip and the staff continue to watch my back while I am concentrating on my shooting to keep all of us safe.

Mad River has a knowledgeable and friendly staff along with a wide and ever-rotating firearm inventory. Cant beat the prices anywhere in the area. These guys know firearms and they know safety, its a great place.

Not satisfied. Went and shot 50 rounds with a friend ended up being 70 bucks for 45 ammo and one lane with two people on it. Only had an hour till close and there was one flat rate for an all day shooting. Great idea if your wealthy and blow through ammo all day. I believe if you just want to pop in at the end of the day there should be a better deal. Owner made me feel like a minority, and unwelcomed. As if I owed my business to him. Plus side the facilitys was in great shape. Safety is stressed to the max and great to take your child to teach.

I went in there yesterday to purchase a new pistol. I explained what I was interested in and a gentleman named Sean helped me and showed me about ten different pistols around what I was looking for. He was very helpful and really knew what he was doin. Couldnt make my mind up at first so I left for about an hour but came back to purchase one of the ones he showed me. He also helped me picked out of holster for it and get various types of ammo. Very professional and informative. Highly recommended them. Check em out on instagram too!

Ive been several times and I have found the staff to be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I very much like fact that the staff wont tell you what you wanna hear just to sell you something! We went in looking to buy a hand gun and ended up buying a different hand gun based on the information that they provided us. We recently purchased another hand gun from a different business and based on that experience and our experience at Mad River Armory and Range, Mad River Armory and Range will be our first choice for our future firearm purchases because of the great customer service we received, the knowledge of the staff, and the very competitive prices!

This place has excellent customer service, sound safety practices on the range that will not be compromised and very good prices on firearms. Ive been a regular customer the last year and have had great experiences every visit. Stop by and take a look. You wont be disappointed.

I went there to sell a rifle and was asked to wait because the boss wasn’t there to look at it and offer a Price. I waited but, after sometime they asked me if I was available later as it was looking like the boss might not show up. I agreed and came in later, only to be met with the boss who was eating pizza behind the counter while discussing my gun with me. In between bites of pizza he offered me $85 for my gun and told me I over paid and was taken advantage of. I took the gun elsewhere and sold it for $325. I wouldn’t recommend going here. If you can make the drive, go to delta armory in Urbana, the employee there is honest and upfront about his intentions and offers.

In my second year as a member of Mad River Range and Armory and find it to be an excellent range with very knowledgeable staff who are more than willing to give assistance when needed. I highly recommend this range to anyone interested in the shooting sport and who wants to learn to shoot from those who are highly qualified to teach shooting. I am so glad that Springfield has the Mad River Range and Armory.

The owner here knows absolutely everything about guns & ammo. Just ask him. Hell tell you. Very long beginners course before going to the range (a lot longer than any other range Ive been to). Ammo price high (9mm box of 50 pmc $17.99, theyre $14.99 at point blank). I was a little shocked when my dad & I went to shoot (I bout 2 boxes of 9mm, a pair of $10 safety glasses, and we shared a lane. The total was close to $80. I was fully expecting about $55/60). Very avid shooter, most likely will stick with point blank.

After several less than pleasant experiences at other ranges, i found mad river. I am an NRA Certified Instructor and CRSO as well as a local competitive shooter. I joined as a member and conduct all my indoor practice here. GSsF matches are great. Everyone on staff and customers are always friendly. I recommend this range without reservation.

Skip is very friendly and loves what he does. I cannot wait to come ant shoot at the range. Springfield is lucky to have a place like this.

It was terrible, I have never been treated so badly by employees. I know that Im sure they dont care, however they have lost my husband and I as customers. I know there are safety concerns and I was taking my gun in the holster off of my belt and I must have crossed the yellow line. The employee came and treated me like I was 3. I know what safety is and did not need to be humiliated in front of everyone. Watch out women because they do not like women shooters. Its to expensive anyway and there are many other places that will treat a person better than to humiliate someone in front of everyone. Not professional at all and this man gives all men s bad name to women. The word is DICK!

My wife and I went to Mad River A & R for first time shooter class today. Jack, our instructor, was excellent. Showed us patience, and even though we are rookies we felt respected and valued as customers.

Just got through Defensive Handgun Class #1. What a blast! Rick Wright, the instructor was incredibly knowledgable, experienced, and patient. Ive never had opportunity to learn shooting skills like this until now. The training is VERY similar to what police officers undergo....drawing your weapon from the holster to engage targets from stationary positions as well as advancing (walking). The last part of the training in class number 1 was you walking and two threats are presented which you must neutralize with double taps each. I am anxiously looking forward to the second and third class.Also, my wife is in the class as well. She was apprehensive in the beginning and only signed up because of my nagging her. She LOVED the first class, did NOT feel intimidated by the instructor or the training and is now excited to take the next 2 classes.In the end, we will be more knowledgeable and prepared for a bad situation (God forbid).Notes:1. Rick runs a very safe class.2. Only one shooter is firing at any given time, but during that time he is evaluatingyou so he can give you individual areas to improve upon.3. This is a class that involves lot of shooting......bring lots of ammo (at least 300 rounds).4. Bring a good holster and a mag holster....you will be learning to draw the weapon and change magazines on the fly.5. Everyone in the class was a learner...zero intimidation felt in there...you just need to have basic firearms skills because this is not an introduction to firearms course.I am recommending this class to friends and colleagues.

I have read through the reviews, and can only question some of the negative reviews as to did you actually set foot into Mad River, your complaints are those of someone who had their poor little feelings hurt cause you were doing something very un-safe, and a Range Officer pointed it out, and most likely being told no, or you are doing something wrong just melts your little Snowflake bottom.I have been to a few ranges in Ohio, and have never felt safer shooting around a bunch of strangers than I do here, these guys have got your back. If you are wanting to sight in a weapon, or just out for a little paper poking with a friend or spouse, and not worry about being startled by some one trying to see how fast they can empty a 30 round magazine, this is the place. Clean, you can actually breath while you are shooting.If on the other hand you are to cool for rule, and think it is way cooler to shoot really fast go to Vances.

Love training here. Great Range and fantastic people thatll go the extra mile for you. Skip helped with ordering 2 specific holsters for me that werent in stock at the time and ordered a specific handgun without hesitation. I know other ranges that wouldve tried to talk me into settling for something similar out of the case. Skip definitely strives to make sure every customer feels confident with their transaction and leaves with a good experience.Honest, fair, and knowledgeable people here all around. They treat my wife and I like family. (No relation)I usually leave there feeling hungry for Ponderosa for some reason.

No other gun shop, armory, or range I’ve ever been to can compare to their customer service and genuine care about their customers. I bought the trifecta shooting class pass (Beginner Shooter Training, Intermediate Shooter Training, and CCW class) and it was the best choice I made leading up to getting my CCW! Jack was a PHENOMENAL teacher and I highly recommend him for Beginner and Intermediate shooter classes. I’ve never felt so comfortable handling a weapon. Why would a Glock 19x cost over $800? I probably wouldn’t gripe about it but dang on average they are from $579-$629. Unless you’re a cop the blue label price is less than $550 out the door. Either you didn’t research or you’re trying to rip people off.

The guys working in this place had the nerve harass me for buying a new pistol, but not from them. They have ZERO nice guns in stock at this place and their prices are never competitive. I have been going there for a few years for shooting and some supplies, but never again. Learn how to interact with the public. We dont owe you anything!

Awhile back I finally talked my wife Joanna to start shooting and to take it seriously and get our CCW i went to check out this range I ran into Skip what a shock havent seen him in a long time talked a little he told me about his three classes the beginners,intermediate and then CCW and the membership and I thought this would help Joanna. Since then with the awesome help and patience of skip,jack and the rest of the staff teaching gun safety and the importance Joanna now will go without me to practice I feel 100 percent easier knowing she is good hands so for all you haters see ya!!!

I dont typically give reviews but the experience I had here is worth mentioning. I went in having an idea of what gun I wanted to purchase, but before making a decision the sales person had me try out a few other models and gave pros and cons to each one. I decided on a gun he recommended that would be a better fit. The gun I bought was considerable less exapensibe than the one I told him I initially wanted, the sales staff is no driven on making the most money off of you they are truley interested in finding the right fit for your needs.

I cant say my experience here was particularly positive. The employee, I think he said he was the owner, was not very pleasant. He was short with us and acted like our questions were dumb.These questions included if we could have more than two people to a lane (you cant [Ive been places where you could]) and if there was a military/first responder discount (which there is on Monday but only when one person is on the lane--he said that because I and a family member were sharing a lane that there was already a discount built in. This didnt make sense to me considering it ended up still being $30 for one lane despite me being told by another employee that it should have been half off).The facility itself was nice and the other employee was just fine. Unfortunately, the owner left a bad impression on my group and we wont be returning.

Ive looked at a few before deciding which one we was gonna try. she was nervous first time shooting gun. this place we loved so much after first talk I got me and her a year membership. and already worth every penny. they dont just sit there. they come give advice if they see something. they help all u need and awnser any questions. the owner after I was done took 20 minutes out of a day I could see was busy to help me with my own personal ar not a rental. even took to a guy to get fixed and did it for free. just to see a customer happy. check my other reviews I tell the truth if place is bad I say its bad. this place is got one of best staffs I have ever done buissness with.

My mom gave my husband and i a coupon to go shooting at Mad River armory and range. We had no idea what we were doing neither of us had shot a gun before so we ended up taking a class with Jack. If you want to learn how to shoot a gun this is the guy who should help you! He was so nice and so indepth showing us step by step how to do everything and he never made us feel like idiots which i really appreciated! I definitely walked in there terrified almost to the point i was going to let my husband do it by himself! But i walked out of there ready and excited to shoot again! Cant wait to go back! ❤

Get place to shoot! Friendly staff, nice 25yd. Range. safety is the #1 priority. I have bought many Glocks at the store. All of which were well below all other dealers in the area. They are not allowed to advertise their price, because of Glocks rules. Ive always been satisfied with the price that they give me.

These guys are so thirsty for a couple dollars that they take peoples money before they ever even start your background check. Why would you take someones money when your not even sure you can sell them the gun??? Completely unethical and the attitude in this shop is very stand-offish I dont recommend anyone do business there for anything ever and I have echoed this sentiment to my family and friends.

It’s been many decades since my wife and I have had someone do for us and ask nothing in return.But…..that’s exactly what happened and continues to happen to this day as we continue to conduct business with Mad River Armory and Range. The entire group of folks there are nothing less than “Top Shelf”. We have never experienced the level of integrity, kindness and willingness to go out of their way to guarantee that we were satisfied with our purchases, our shooting practice arrangements and our time spent there in general.My wife and I cannot put into words how important it was for us to feel a sense of satisfaction and a level of confidence that everything we experienced may one day save our life or for the expressed purpose of defending ourselves or our loved ones in this confusing world we live in today.No one can convince me or my wife that these folks don’t care about what they do and who they help succeed. What is especially apparent is when I can enter an establishment such as this one thinking and believing I was a right-handed shooter and when we completed our training for our CCW of which they provided for us I am now happy to report that I am a born again “Left-Handed” shooter and a very good one thanks to our very dear friend Jack. Hey… we encourage you to look this guy up if you ever go to Mad River Armory as he is excellent and extremely professional.Skip…..WOW!!! What can we say about this man? This guy will help anyone that walks through his doors and believe us when we say he has an unbelievable amount of knowledge salt and peppered with a lot of patience. Trust me we have seen it. His custom work is incredible and I mean off the charts.He is not happy unless you are, and what’s really amazing is when you’re buying from him he may pop-up and say, “Are you sure you’re not over spending”? “I don’t want you to think that you have to spend more than what you need.” That is a true story!!Now….. Let’s talk about our buddy Shawn. What a kind, considerate and supportive human being.Not only does this man know his stuff but when you lose your self-confidence and you’re making the wrong choice he is there to share his knowledge when it’s needed the most and give you the support and direction to achieve greatness in things you never thought you could and for living proof of what I’m saying ask my wife if she is a better shooter than me. I rest my case.And last but not least, the next person we want to talk about is not a secret if you’re anybody that knows your way around Mad River Armory and that is Dee. This lady and I do mean lady, very classy and is absolutely the epitome of warmth and kindness and who also knows everybody that knows anybody. Dee was the first person my wife and I met when we walked in and welcomed us in a way that made us feel at home and feel that we belonged. The truth is you have to enjoy what you do to make people feel this way.And for those cynics out there, we are in no way a relative of anyone employed at Mad River Armory and not even a distant relative. We have never cut the man’s grass, painted his house nor went Bigfoot hunting with him. If you knew how much these folks have helped us that idea or opinion would not have crossed your mind. We do believe in giving credit where credit is due….Believe us when we say you should come down here to Mad River Amory and see for yourself. You won’t regret the experience. Staff has personality issues. Friendliness and customer service definitely not a priority. My wife and I went there on our date night and probably wont go back. Facilities are great, we have been going since it was Lauhorners, when they had a family friendly atmosphere. My daughter loved Wally, alas no one like that remains. Prices way up too.Seems like someones bolstering their Google reviews, I have never seen so many reviewers with just 1 review before and all 5 stars and all so recent. Can you say manipulation?

Went there to learn how to shoot and they have help me with there classes the instructor Jack was my teacher and was awesome. I go there to shoot with family a lot.

I have never shot a firearm at a inside range before and was very scared.They asked me to watch the short safety video and then reviewed it with me this took about 12 minutes and was very helpful and comforting.the owner made sure that I had proper eye and ear protection and was patient with me as I was with him,all in all a very, very good time.

Everyone was great. The facility was Immaculate.

I discovered MadRiver range and Armory from the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation or GSSF. I attended their first match and fell in love with their staff. The range owner Skip made us feel very welcomed as he worked hard in scoring the matchs. All of their staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. Since the first match the continued to excel and now run “the best ran Gssf matchs I have ever attended” the range is super nice and is challenging with great lighting, clean atmosphere, it is one of the few 75 foot ranges in the area. I gladly drive over a hour to shoot. I have also bought a few guns off of them with some super great deals. Again well worth the over a hour drive passing other shops to buy there. I highly recommend them. Just try them you will find the best prices in the state and a friendly staff to assist you. They also have great training as I have taken a class there as well, and plan on taking other training there. Last off the put a lot of effort into their special events with benifits going to great charities. I am so glad I found out about them. I know you will have the same experiences that I have. Thank you Skip and all your gang.

If you follow the rules its gonna be a good time if you dont thats on you honestly i get the same respect they give super experianced shooters even though im kinda a noob to the whole shooting thing. Ten outta ten would recomend this place if you want to find your first range.

When I choose to spend my money with a business it goes without saying that I expect good customer service and to be treated with respect. My husband and I have been there three times since the new ownership took place and each time our experience has left us feeling put off by the condescending attitude of some staff members. After todays experience, we will never go back. There was an incident on the line that could have been handled in a more professional manner. The worst part was that while I was packing up to leave I overheard the same staff member (that handled the incident on the line) talking to the others employees and pretty much making fun of another patron. Wow...I take gun safety very seriously and respect and understand rules and why they are in place. But when you come in acting like a big bully and treating your patrons like children it certainly isnt a good way to get return business. My recommendation to the owner is some customer relationship training for all their staff.

Im not sure where the negative reviews are coming from and the reviewers clearly have no basis and or reasonable expectation of customer service or ethical business practices. Guess its true you cant please everyone. Also, keep in mind you are patronizing a range and armory not a restaurant, department store or car dealership. Deadly weapons are in use and for sale. The customer and facility are required and responsible to practice and conduct themselves in a safe, secure professional and lawful manner.Mad Rivers pricing is clearly and conspicuously posted in several places of the facility including the front door. Why should someone expect a discount or special treatment when you show up at the end of the business day? In fact signage is clearly and conspicuously posted at the facility and on the website addressing the points raised in the negative reviews.In my experience the owner and staff of Mad River Armory and Range have always been courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The atmosphere has a rustic lodge feeling. The facility is always clean and well maintained from the counter to range to restrooms. If the staff hasnt been able to help me, they have pointed me in the right direction to find the product or information I required.Mad River offers several first rate and affordable training classes conducted by certified knowledgeable instructors. However, beware there is a waiting list for the training courses which affirms the quality, affordability and popularity of the services. In my experience, the lead time is kept to about 3 to 4 weeks, but may be longer based on demand. Product pricing is inline and competitive with big box and online stores. I have purchased services, products and received training at the facility and highly recommend Mad River Armory and Range. Please dont be discouraged by a few unfounded negative reviews. I have always felt safe and welcome at the facility.

I have had no problem with the price or owner.Most ranges are charging $20.00 an hour and $25.00 per box of 45acp is not horrible.Sorry you had a bad day,but I do not think you blame somebody else.The owner has always been helpful and appreciative and respectful,I will go back as often as I get a chance!!!!!!!!
