Very wide selection of hardwoods, reasonable prices, and helpful employees! We’ve bought live edge hardwood boards for 2 mantelpieces from Colonial Hardwoods. We are not woodworkers or experts by any means and the staff were a great help in getting us what we needed and giving good advice!

Great selection of hardwoods and live edge slabs, I have never gone here and been disappointed. Pricing seems fair and all the lumber I have used from Colonial has always been high quality.Very friendly and helpful staff who provide a lot of advice and help if youre not an expert, this was particularly helpful when I bought some Bocote, which has very specific requirements for finishing, they saved me from ruining my slab!

Fantastic experience - gave a novice a crash course in woodworking and lumber with a smile. Helped me pick out each piece for each project I was doing, explained board foot pricing, and cut to all my odd sizes for each piece of wood. So much better than a big box lumber store!

Great source for wood by the board foot & slabs. Theyre also great to prepare your lumber for a project ($30 min & charge for time) if you dont have a jointer, planer, or tablesaw required to surface & prepare your wood for projects. Even if I had the room in my house to put these tools, its just easier & cheaper to pay them to do it than buy these machines.

Enjoyed the visit. Its pretty organized for anyone looking for something in particular. Theres a main shop and then a side area of the core slabs and lumber. Lots to think about.Their work shop is closed for the public but its just roped off so you can get a chance to see some massive machines in service.Staff all wanted to help and were okay with you just looking around and not pressuring you into anything. If Im in the area or have a particular project and need a wood, Im pretty sure they have it.

I called him for cider and pine slabs and told me he has alot of them. When I got there said he dose not have any. What a waste of time.

Nice staff but way over priced. Went in for some walnut and they were asking $15 a board foot for low grade unfinished boards. Went to a competitor and got some beautiful top grade (which was milled and ready to use) for only $9 a board foot.

This is a nice break from the local big box store, and they carry a lot more wood than Woodcraft. Prices are a little more than the orange or blue guys, but thats to be expected. Their selection of exotics is great, with a bin or two of randoms.The staff was knowledgeable but not condescending to a novice woodworker like myself. Ill be back again for my next project.

This is the best place to buy lumber. I have my own woodshop and being able to find roughsawn lumber of the quality they have is a blessing. And, they help me cut corners offering lower priced items when they have them.

The guy on the counter was unhelpful, he didnt even tried to help me when I asked him about some of their products prices, unfortunately it was wasting of my time to even drive there .bad attitude they need to be more friendly with the costumers.
