I ordered three doors from these folks. Two dutch doors and one entrance door. Unfortunately the workmanship is very poor. I attached one photo of a door seal. As you can see the seal raised roughly a half inch and now leaks. I had a master Carpenter look at repairing the door and he immediately pointed out how they use very poor quality wood. As you can see in the picture theres a Knott and as expected the wood warped. There are numerous other issues such as the joints. One joint you can actually see clear through the door but the long and the short I definitely would not buy from again

My parents bought this barn door unfinished, over $1000 after 4-5 months it fell apart. They have no warranty on an unfinished door, even though we followed their instructions to stain and seal right away. Their only offer is for us to buy another finished door at 50% off. Can you trust the workmanship again?

Our front door is gorgeous! We love the beautiful stain and the craftsmanship. We had great customer service.We didn’t have enough molding for the inside which was a pain to try to match the color.

I purchased steel double bypass barn doors. The doors are nice but dont come with instructions and the hardware received doesnt match the instructions on Rustica.com I contacted Rustica chat and a day later they sent me the same instructions that are on the website that dont match my doors and hardware. Had to guess how to install by watching different videos on YouTube. I also had to buy floor tracks from another company to help stop doors swinging. Still havent figured out the drag-a-long so doors stay together, but working on it. I asked questions on Rustica.com for help and left a review, but they dont seem to post. Overall experience was very poor but doors look good after we figured it out.

This is the inside trim of my $3000 door. Installed two months ago. After the first rain the window leaked all over the floor inside. Rustica determined it was my fault for not having it finished by their company.This door was stained twice and spar varnish twice. No satisfaction my door on my end I will have to fix it myself. It won’t even open now due to rain coming in around window Rusticais generic response that I did not have it professionally stained by them is ludicrous. What’s that have to do with the window leakingand the trim coming off the inside. These doors are so over priced for the qualityThis is the amount of caulk I had to put between the door in the window frame you call that unfinished door I call it junk

I purchased an unfinnished barn door and hardware from Rustica. It was delayed in shipping due to a shipping company error and Rustica was in contact with me and the shipping company daily until it arrived. The door was packed in a crate and was in perfect condition when it arrived. I stained and varnished the door and now have it hung in my basement. It is a great door and made with very high quality materials and attention to the workmanship. My wife and I are very happy with our purchase. Worst company I have EVER, EVER worked with from beginning to months later ending in a partial refund. Very condescending, a dozen phone calls to get them to do their job, couldn’t find order in ware house, damaged door upon arrival, left in shipping company for 3 weeks after trying to return to get it repaired, calling more than once to get my refund etc, etc, etc. don’t do it, just don’t. There are many other companies out there that know how to run a business and practice good customer service. If you choose to buy from these incredibly unprofessional people, don’t say I didn’t warn you!!

I love my door hardware. I was having a hard time find hardware because all my doors are low clearance of 4-6 inches. I ordered one to make sure I liked it. I ended up loving it and will be ordering 3 more. They roll very smoothly and I love the bronze color to match my hardware.

Excellent customer service. I ordered a custom barn door system with all of the options. Unfortunately, the rail came in at the wrong length. I called customer service and a young lady helped me out. They listened, understood, and then no questions asked, mailed me the correct piece. A lot companies won’t admit fault and would have made me reorder or given me a runaround. Instead, I was listened to, treated with respect, and they made sure to get right. This is how a company should operate. 5 stars for quality and service.

I built my own custom bypass doors for the first time ever, so I had a lot of questions. The folks at Rustica answered all my questions, some more than once. They have excellent customer service, and things get shipped immediately. The hardware and screws/bolts etc are clearly labeled as to what they go to. I spent less than five minutes figuring out the bypass rail system and how all the parts fit together. Plus they have videos available, which you likely wont even need. I had one wheel that came a bit crooked, and they replaced it immediately.

I ordered an oil bronze 12 ft track with all the hardware included for bi parting doors that are in my garage. The hardware is substantial and of great quality. All the parts are labeled but if you need to contact the support team ( which I did twice) they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. There is also PDFs and you tube videos to support some of their proprietary parts which again I found extremely useful. The only thing I would have done differently would have been to call them first and explain what I was trying to accomplish. For instance, what type of floor guide would be best? There are several factors which would dictate the best choice since I had decorative trim and a sloping floor to accommodate. Overall, great products matched with great customer service!I may have to find more projects just to use some of their available barn door hardware.

I really wanted to love my doors but just wasn’t as impressed as I should have been for $3,500. The stain has a dark streak (in picture), no caps or covers for the holes in the door (from bolting it together), missing parts (wrong screw lengths, no door stopper), the track came in 2 sections instead of one long piece (8’), AND to actually get someone to respond to your email, phone message, or “live chat” message is next to impossible. I wish their quality and their customer service departments were better, and for the price they should be.

Ive tried to work with customer service direct and either limited or delayed response. We were incredibly excited for our custom door that we ordered from Rustica, but the excitement was short-lived... We had our door professionally treated, painted and installed. After a week, it was apparent that there was a serious issue with the quality of the door that was sent to us. As you can see in the photos below, we began noticing warping at the bottom and cracking on the interior middle section. At this point, we are approximately two weeks after installation and the crack has broken all the way through and is visible on both the interior and exterior. I certainly understand that any service or product can have an issue, but for Rustica to not address this and make it right is what has driven me to officially comment. We live in a home designated by the City of Los Angeles as a Historical-Cultural Monument and thus the reason why we wanted to spend the money to get an awesome product. Unfortunately, Rustica failed to deliver a top quality product and they have also failed to address the issue and make it right.

Beautiful product. There were issues with not sending all needed parts for install, but they were very responsive and corrected it right away. There was also an issue with a part being “defective” in that it wouldn’t stop the door properly. But again - customer service was very responsive and sent a new part right away that was a bit longer so it would stop the door as needed. Chatting to customer service via text was so easy - no long waits on the phone! Despite the noted issues, I still give 5 stars because I was taken care of in such a great manner. And the craftsmanship is wonderful. I kind of expect to need some tweaks to a custom product like this, so the issues didn’t bother me since they were resolved so easily and quickly.

We purchased the DIY door with soft close. The whole setup is pretty easy and straight forward. The longest time was preparing the wood (sanding and sealing it) before the door setup.All the instructions were great and easy to follow. We had one issue with our kit, but it was fixed by Rustica immediately.The materials appear to be high quality and have been used for the last couple of weeks and everything is great. No issues. We will return to Rustica for other projects we do around our house.

I was sent incorrect size spacers and track . Do not purchase from Rustica hardware. I emailed drawings and pictures. The finish on spacers was not on the edges. I thought with the high price I would get a good product. The customer service supervisor was rude and said the spacers finish was correct. In the pictures you can tell the coating is not on all the surfaces. Poor product finish and terrible customer service.

Our classic hardware opens easily and smoothly and came with everything we needed in clearly marked packages by item 3) awesome customer service from initial questions by phone to figure out sizes to online instructional videos, to text/chat all along the way if needed. Like my door but needed to change the handle out on my door for the correct color and because it was past the 30 day exchange period they were not willing to help do anything even though they carry the same handles. I ordered barn door hardware from Artisan Hardware and while it was more expensive than the imported hardware you can buy it was well worth it. Everything surpassed my expectations. Once I had the barn door installed I found that I needed to change one of the stops. I messaged them using the chat feature on their website to see if buying some additional parts from them would work for what I needed. They not only responded quickly but were able to give me a better option using the parts I already had saving me $50. I would absolutely recommend them.

I am an interior designer in San Diego and this is the 4th time I have ordered from Rustic for barn door hardware. Each project is a little different and their help line was always very timely and “helpful”! Rustica has so many choices for hardware and a beautiful, quality product.

Very poor finish quality.First, I am a project manager for high end mountain town construction company. I have built and purchased barn doors for many projects. We recieved 3 barn doors from Rustica for a home under construction. The doors were assembled with some adjustments (it was very difficult to get the doors flat and square). Many of the pieces needed trimmed to be the same lengths (they were +- 1/8). The carpenters assembling and installing are incredibly skilled and seasoned (some of our best) and it was a time consuming task for them. The tracks, wheels, and hardware are unusable. The paint is chipped and coming off the brackets in the packaging, the tracks are bent and kinked beyond straightening, the wheels are painted in the groves so the paint chips off once placed on the tracks. The mounting brackets are not the same dimensions. When bolted to the tracks some of them interfere with the wheel rolling on the tracks causing the door to bump up and down when crossing them.I would not recommend purchasing this system. The pricing is similar to other very high end barn door systems but the product lacks the quality of its competition.
