Great local store prices are a little higher then Lowes or home Depot but thats to be expected it saves me a trip so I dont have to go a town over to get what I need.
Now through Christmas is the best time of year to come they have all their Christmas decorations up and it is so beautiful makes me want to buy all the Christmas lights and go Clark Griswold on you but I ain’t no Grinch and I gave all my employees a Christmas bonus they deserve it they are the best and you deserve one too
This store had more of the plumbing parts I needed than any of the big plumbing supply warehouses! They also sell the pipe by the foot out back. They totally helped save my bacon the other day on a very tight deadline for underground plumbing that had to be put in for a bathroom before the concrete was poured 2 hours later!
I tried exchanging a new never used drill bit on 6/19 and was told that I could not return since the package was torn open. I purchased the 1 drill bit 3 hours prior but needed to buy a 7/8 drill bit to fit inside the valve I was hot tapping. I called the location prior to returning to the store and was told that it shouldnt be a problem. I reviewed their return policy listed on my receipt and when I returned, looked to see if there was a return policy displayed at the POS (nothing posted). I followed their return policy as listed, but I was refused service from two girls at the counter when I tried to exchange the item. I was told that I could return it if the packaging could just be tapped and resold, but since the opened packaging was torn, they cant return it. No manager was on duty so they got Brady in the paint department. I was told the same thing so I asked to see where it says that on their return policy or even says that the package needs to be in a like new condition. This is no where on their policy that states this. Sunpro leaves it up to the employee to judge the customer and discriminate based on their opinion on how opened the package is whether they will return it or not. Its ridiculous that you can return an open package as long as the package is not too damaged. This leaves a lot of gray area and puts their employees and Sunpro at risk. I could go into other options that I offered, like me purchasing the 7/8 drill bit with the same packaging and swapping out the product and description SKU so it could be resold. I explained that when I was there earlier, the girl opened up another drill bit in front of me to see if it was threaded and then put it back on the shelve. I told them I would leave the other opened bit and take the new one with out paying and the manager could call me when they were in next. I offered to give them my DL information. I was refused service over and over and then Brady said, let me call and see what they think. He opened his phone, waited and then said he could do it this one time. When I told the girl at the counted to process it, she refused to process it and said she didnt want her name on it. Then the next girl refused to process it because she didnt want her name on it either. Brady had everyone sign out and then processed the exchange. What kind of hostile environment are these employees in where they live in fear of retaliation from Sunpro if they follow the listed return policy and are giving the direction of Brady in the paint department who they differed to when the situation escalated. Im not sure I would want anyone I cared for working at Sunpro. I could not find a posted return policy on their website but search around for online purchases and found an exceptions for online purchase. Ill upload my receipt, opened packaged photo, and image of the location with no posted policy at the POS.
It’s easier to go to a smaller store to find what I need and they usually have it but this locations customer support is seriously lacking. It’s odd to me that they seem to mostly hire attractive teenage girls that are catty, snide and generally unhelpful. Maybe that’s what the manager is into 🤷🏻♀️ Out of convenience of location and supplies for what I need I regrettably keep coming here. But certainly not for most of their employees judgmental stuck up noses
Awesome staff! Great range of products
I went looking for some paint the other day and I don’t know what I’m doing! But the employee I believe his name is Brandon was extremely helpful and even gave me some advice on how to paint! I’ll be sure to go here for all my project needs!
Brian, the front desk boy, was so helpful and cheerful. Sunroc always seems to have everything. A perfect hardware plus store for the community. The new layout of the store makes a lot of sense and is much easier to navigate than a few months ago. I would much rather get something at Sunroc than the big box competitors.
The one thing that makes this place better is their employee named Brady he knows is stuff and gives his honest opinion if something will work better then another and he is always happy to help. If you go there ask for him, he knows his stuff.Other than that The prices here are always competitive and they usually have a good selection. They are always a good place to go when I need just a few things.
Nice store. Very helpful people. They are doing some remodeling in the store right now but everyone is really accommodating so its not as big of a deal. Theyre really helpful when your call, as well. They have a plant expert on sight and and expert in just about every department who can help. They dont ever seem too busy, either, which is rare in the big stores.
I can usually find what Im looking for, but man, the employees, especially the checkers, seems to be in sour moods. I noticed it the first time I went in and have noticed it every time since. Kid in sprinkler section was happy though.I’m updating my review. The customer service in the store has improved. Prices are a bit higher than the big box stores and they don’t have the selection but it’s so convenient to go half a mile instead of all the way to Provo.
WAY overpriced. I shouldnt be spending $2.00 for a little plastic pvc fitting. But this place works in a pinch if you need something really quick. The kid that helped me knew the store pretty well and was quick and helpful in showing me where the things I was looking for were.
The store probably has what you need. And isnt so large that you take 45 minutes to get in and out....They also tend to be selective in what they carry so the ratio of good stuff to garbage is quite good... You also dont have to dodge people trying to sell air conditioning service if you go on a weekend.
Went to return some hardware from a house that my small business was doing some remodeling on. Ive returned here on a monthly basis for about 9 months up until last week when I took some leftover hardware back for store credit to swap out for new hardware for another job. Called ahead the night before. Spoke to Bree & was told no problem, bring it in & well take care of you. The next morning when I took the hardware back I was left waiting at the front of the store for someone to help bring in a couple small boxes containing the hardware for 10-15 minutes. The kid who came up was helpful & courteous. Once back inside, all the employees acted like they had no idea how to do a return for store credit. Was left waiting another 10-15 minutes for a manager who Ive never seen or dealt with at this store. He didnt ask me anything or even hear what I had to say, instead he loudly proclaimed that they did not accept returns on my items since they were usually stolen from job sites & brought in to return for cash. Im not sure how much free time Brian has on his hands but I dont have that kind of free time. The items did come from a job site, my own. I co-own a small business that flips houses & remodels on a frequent basis. But I was treated as a thief & manager Brian grabbed my boxes from the counter & threw them into my cart, destroying the boxes & bending/denting several pieces of hardware. He then took one box out of the store to return to my truck without even knowing where my vehicle was. Once there he threw the boxes again over the tailgate into the bed of my truck which further damaged the items along with my bed liner. I guess he was in too much of a hurry to put it down or wait for me to get around my vehicle to put it down for him. Perhaps he didnt know how that was done. Then as he was removing another box from my cart he let the cart roll over the edge of the sidewalk in front of my vehicle where it tipped & fell into the front fender of my truck, scratching & denting my vehicle & sending my hardware all over the parking space next to mine as well as under my truck. He then continued to throw these items into my backseat. As I went to double check underneath to make sure hed gotten everything, he rudely said yeah, I got those as he made a hasty retreat back inside the store.Needless to say, I wont be giving Sunroc my business ever again. This was where Id purchased all the hardware & building materials for every job my business was involved with for nearly the last year. In that time, neither myself or my business partner have ever been treated this way until encountering this joke of a manager who cost me several hundred dollars in repairs to my work vehicle, time in finding another company to give my business to, as well as the cost of all the hardware he destroyed in the process of returning it to my vehicle. Ive contacted corporate to file a complaint as well as seeking compensation for all the damage Brian caused to my hardware & my vehicle. But since this happened Ive given my business to Builders First Source in Spanish Fork who has been extraordinarily helpful & even cheaper costs for the building materials I purchase on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Id suggest giving them or anyone else your business before going to another overpriced Sunroc store.
A lot of the prices here are a lot higher than at the chain hardware stores. This is a good place to buy plants, though. Also a good place to get single nuts, bolts, or washers, they have a big selection of those.
Ive really had great experiences with SunRoc. Ive lived in the area my entire life, and have gone there ever since it was called Utah Service (I think that was the old name...). Ive never thought of writing a review on them, but after trying another local hardware store and having multiple bad experiences there, I figured that Sunroc has actually earned a good review.Ive always been treated kindly by the employees, and have never had a problem with customer service. The selection is pretty decent for the size of store, and the prices, while not as good as a big box store, arent bad for a local hardware store.Ive yet to find a better place to go for the odd nut or bolt - great selection here. And to top it all off, the free popcorn is a family favorite!Overall, in the years I have been going to Sunroc, I never knew how good they were until I tried another place. Ill be sticking with Sunroc.
Though their prices are really high our business has shopped there for 20+yrs due to convenience as our business is near them in Springville. However today for no reason the manager refused to accept our company check.Never ever wrote them a bad check. We have even done machine work for both WW Clyde and Geneva Rock which are their affiliate companies.I told them I would not be back and they acted like they didnt care at all.If they wont trust and support businesss and good people in their own town,we definitely wont support them.
Just about everything you could need for any fine improvement project. Very well stocked and well organized
Came here for a couple of quick keys to be copied and cut... Horrible idea! The two different young men who attempted to help us were completely ignorant and spent 30+ minutes trying to figure out how to make the correct copies... And several didnt even work afterwards when we tested them!Instead, I recommend going to AM/PM keys in Spanish Fork...5 minutes tops, and then you can get on with your life!
I live very close to the store and would love if it was a convenient place to shop but the staff is not even remotely helpful. There is never anyone around to ask questions to and if so they are high school students who do not know the answer. In the 3 years I have lived here I have gone in over 2 dozen times and every time have been disappointed and gone to Home Depot. I would love to support local businesses but they make it impossible.
This is one of the best hardware stores I have come across they are locally owned the staff is extremely knowledgeable and well make sure you have everything you need they know their products very well and will make sure that you totally satisfied its very easy to get to and its basically a One-Stop Building Supply they even have a gas station right next to it where they have amazing milkshakes that you can get after youve gotten your building supplies
Self-serve key machine worked great and fast. A little pricey for keys, but convenient
I love that we have a good hardware store in Springville. They have a great selection of nuts, bolts and screws. I can usually find what I need here with out needing to take a trip out of town. The customer service could use a little help, most employees seem to be in a bad mood most days.
New to the community and Sunroc has been my go to source for all of my home improvement needs! The sales associates have been very helpful. So glad I can stay local and buy local!
Incredible help. Patiently explained everything I needed to know about repairing my sprinklers.
I like having a hardware store close to home and this place usually has what I need. Most things are prices a little higher than Home Depot or Lowes, but thats to be expected as its smaller. Im usually disappointed with the condition of the lumber...better selection elsewhere. And like many of the other reviews, customer service needs some help. On the upside, Store is clean and organized and I do love the free popcorn.
I have been here three times (its close to where I live) and Everytime I have sworn I will never go back. Staff doesnt know much and are very belittling and unhelpful.
I enjoy shopping at this store. They have the best nut and bolt selection.
Ive been in this store about a dozen times. I dont know the store and have difficulty finding the things I need. Until last week Ive always walked out of there without anyone assisting me and not purchasing anything because I cant find it. Last week o was pressed for time so I ran over to get 1 blade for my edger. The girl at the counter was very nice. She asked another employee for help with payment since I was using a tax exempt purchase card. Got the help walked out with my purchase. Yesterday same thing. Didnt have enough time to make it to Home Depot so ran to Sunroc to get the 3 small things I needed. Same girl couldnt remember how to do tax exempt (thats ok shes still learning) and met wonderful manager Brian. Brian said they didnt do tax exempt. I explained I work with the district and its tax exempt. He then went to put the information into the computer and asked my name and thats where the fun began. I was not on his list of people that can use a purchase card. He then got loud told me I wasnt authorized to use my card and began asking me where I worked, where I got the card and demanded a P.O. from me and so on. I had the whole store watching me. I explained to him Im a district employee (as clearly stated on my shirt WITH my name) which building I work in and where I got the card as well as how they work. He exclaimed several times over he shouldnt be allowing me to purchase but did so anyway because at that point he knew he messed up and was out of line. I will go back just one more time to lodge a formal complaint. He made me look like a thief in front of everyone in the store and even in the middle of helping me disregarded me to help someone else before continuing his rant. Ill never spend another dime in that store and if I could I would reccomend the district pull their account out of there as well.
Convenient hardware store, but mostly over-priced.. Ill usually justify a trip to Home Depot instead
Not the lowest prices but they have a pretty great selection. The staff has always been very nice, in fact I married one of them :)
A little more expensive than home depot, but better service and much more convenient!
Nice little hardware store, especially if you dont want to make the trek to one of the big box outlets. Carries most of what you may need for an average Saturday project.
Great to have a hardware store in Springville. Obviously its not as big as Home Depot and so they dont have everything you need, but good for the basics. My only complaint is that the staff always seem to be in bad moods. Could be trained to be a little more friendly.
We came in with a specific problem and they were very helpful! Stuck with us to the end till we had it fixed. Great customer service.
Prices are a bit high for some things. They do seem to have a better selection than Home Depot for many items.
Workers are really helpful and you can find most of the supplies you need. They don’t carry many brands of things, but you can get the job done.
Very helpful staff and a large variety to select from. One of my new favorite stores.
Ive been impressed with the amount of inventory and expertise packed into this local hardware store. For the most part, it seems like their prices are comparable to the likes of Home Depot.
Sunroc is a great place for lumber and hardware and household items. Great service too.
The grill cheese hear taste so bad! It taste like they rubbed it across the ground. It had a weird crunch to it like it had a cockroach in it. The worst food ever!!!
I like sun rock and they are convenient. Their prices however are not amazing.
So nice to have a local hardware store to visit for quick fixes and to find the right nuts and bolts.
Great store. I dont know why people claim home depot is cheaper I researched prices and found out Id spend $500 more for the baseboard at home depot
This place is usually great for finding stuff you need to get your project done. As long as it has to do with yard work or general home repair. They also have a great selection of tools. However, today I asked if they had a part that I needed to repair my washer. Instead of them just saying no, we dont carry those, I was told in a very disrespectful and condescending way. A slow head shack and a curt, We dont carry appliance repair parts. This also isnt the first time I have been treated like I was annoying the person I was asking for help.I will only return if I know for sure they have what I need and I wont have to ask anyone for help.
Interior has been completely remodeled and front is going through a facelift. Very little parking for awhile
Place has the best selection of hardware. Tops Lowes and Home Depot by far.
Sunroc has always had a huge selection for pros and homeowners. Good people too, that can help you complete your projects.
Good for small things and for something quick.
Great service and largest supply of fasteners in Utah county!
Good selection, easier to work with than a big box.
These guys are great, theyve always helped me in the best way possible.Thanx guys
Awesome service, knowledgeable staff.
Hours are very deceiving. Half of the store closes at 7pm
Over priced and they probably dont have whatcha need only good thing free popcorn
Drive through was quick, order was correct, food was good.
It is a great hardware store.
Bought some bolts from their loose bins, got wrong size. Would not let me exchange them.
We are sitting in the parking lot here at 7:15 am and the store is supposed to be open at 7:00 am. No lights on, doors locked. Crazy way to run a business!
Great service, great small town feel.
Great place to find what you need
Pros:Local, conveniently located for Springville/MapletonFree popcornOccasionally really killer deals, like 50% off paint bucketsCons:Prices are a little steeper than if you drive down to a chain like Home DepotLots of younger employees, sometimes inexperienced
That might not be Home Depot, but they had what I needed.
High prices, return policy from the 90s
Called to inquire about L brackes prices, guy said he was too busy to check. Awful, I live 2 minutes away, went to home depot instead
Always a good experience at sunroc
Plastic pipe fittings need to be in only one spot in the store not on both ends of the store!!
Very expensive and limited stock.
Every time I have gone in there I have had a terrible experience the cashier do not even know what they are doing half the time neither do the floor associate I feel like I have to help myself every time Im in there i get no help personal I wouldnt even care if they went out of business.
Not as good as home depot on price and variety but the location is much closer to my house so the question comes down to whether the extra distance is worth the price.
Great place to shop
Big variety.
Sunroc truly does ROCK
Great Service
Very knowledgeable!!!!!
