Sorry its too long.Not sure to give 3 or 4 stars actually. Overall got what i needed, a yamaha digital piano to my wife. I know nothing about pianos but had done research and made up my mind on what to buy. Needed a little advice. Couldnt get help right away. 1st individual was not knowledgable at all but nice person. She left, but later came back with smn else. Similar situation but again nice person. The 3rd was to the point, very helpful but at the cashiers became overtly extremely pushy to sell a service/insurance. An other assoiciate joined him to convince me. Made me very uncomfortable.

It is absolutely amazing there are so many instruments that you can learn and there are so many instruments are given by including Mikes and speakers and I actually I bought in one and it was affordable for the instrument that it was and the service was great so I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to take lessons for buying instruments

I was looking for a beginner guitar and Dylan/Dillon and also Steve I believe had both helped me tremendously. They were enthusiastic about the Yamaha I had gotten and were also very patient and engaged in their customer service to the point where they build a sweet relationship w their customers. They had good knowledge of their products too. Definitely will be back for more exciting products and for the great experience at the stafford guitar center location! :) Hope to see Dylan and Steve again too!

An absolute awesome place to get started on a musical journey. The staff are abundant and always ready to help customers. The store offers a wide variety of starter / beginner instruments and paraphernalia up to very the high end. The best part is that youre allowed to get handsy with the instruments, plug into an amp to rock a guitar, sit down and beat at the drums or just play with the uke and let your worries strum away. Whether youre a novice or a pro, Guitar Center - Stafford has everything you need :)

Ordered a used Dangelico Excel Exl-1 2015 model (Labelled as excellent condition) from the Guitar Center in Stafford, TX and received the guitar without the promised padded case, it had a crack at the headstock heel on both sides, crackling pots, bubbling pickguard, rusted frets and strings, and the nut creaked when tuning. Probably the worst guitar Ive ever played to be honest; the only redeeming factors were that the pickup sounded nice and that the finish was high quality. When I told the guy at the shop about the issues he told me It was probably damaged in shipping, I would return this too, and You should always ask for pictures from the store before buying. Do not trust the condition levels Guitar Center advertises. I shouldnt have to be skeptical about something so easy to distinguish. Do better.

Worst customer service.. today is aug 21st 2021 Saturday at 6 pm and store manager was extremely un friendly.. i ve been guitar center customer for 20 years.. and i requested for a small return which i was told at time of purchase should be ok for 90 days and he said policy is 45 days.. anyways i explained due to pandemic i could not come and if u cant return then atleast give me store credit which he bluntly denied.. never going back to this location.. this is 2nd time ive gotten un friendly customer service.. atleast he cud have been nice about it.. worst experience ever..

The atmosphere was nice theyre always updated on the instruments with the newest election. My 5-year-old is always overjoyed by the drum selection that they have at the location. And as a matter of fact I am too. Good location good people to vibe is always good I definitely be going back to visit

I love going here and jamming a bit while I shop but this particular day there wasnt a teller at the drumsticks area so I had to walk in behind the registers to get my own stick. I didnt mind doing so but it can be seen as shady by some so I think there should have been someone there to assist

So normally I do not buy from big box stores like guitar center. However, Dillon made me feel at home and offered me a fair price for a telecaster that had a slight chip in the body. Even threw in a free hard shell case! Great experience 10/10 and I love my tele 👍🏼

I have been in this store 3 times in the last 30 days, every time was awful.First time I came with my daughter who wanted to learn piano, I was ready to buy and sign her up for lessons. We waited for associates but no one acknowledged us and the ones who saw us walked away. Left empty handed. I ordered a keyboard online later and used curbside pick up, that part went fine.Second time I went in to talk to someone about drums as I was interested in buying a kit and again signing up for lessons, the store associate in the percussion room finished his sale with another customer and walked out. Not one other associate said anything or even greeted us. Again I ordered a kit online, and used the curb side pick up instead.Third time was yesterday, went in to pick up my online order for my throne and purchase a drum amp.. there were 2 associates in the store and including me and my family 3 other customers. Again not acknowledged, waiting in line, nothing, tried to find anyone to ask a question and nothing. I again walked out empty handed but drove to the Houston location on Yale street and was greeted immediately! Showed an associate what I was looking for and she was lied me right to it, answered my questions and helped me cancel the order for my throne from the Stanford store and purchase it from them instead.I’m so frustrated with the Stanford store. The only good thing was the curbside pick up. Nothing else.

They don’t know anything here. Very bad customer service and even refused service to my boyfriend when he was just trying to buy tuning pegs for our guitar. The man at the counter said I’m not going to let you buy these because your just going to end up returning them. Instead he tried to up sell us to something that costs $200 when the part we wanted was only $40. Just let the customer buy what they need to, when they need to. All of this extra stuff isn’t appreciated. Definitely won’t be coming back to this location!

Customers have to wait outside in 100 degrees weather to shop. Seems like you can’t go in store for safety measures due to Covid-19. They don’t care for there customers in the heat dehydrating in Houston’s Summer. Avoid until they change there policy, they will probably go bankrupt if they continue doing this.

Best place for anything music. We loved working with Mitchel. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They had lots of of things we needed. A Martin backpacker, cahone, roll up elect. drums, picks, capo, music cord chart, kazoos, banana shaker. Fun time in our campsite. Thanks guys.

I came to this Guitar Center as a Make-A-Wish volunteer looking for an electric guitar for one of my wish kids. Nathan and the entire team were exceptional throughout the entire process. Nathan was extremely knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect guitar and amp based on the needs and skill set of the recipient.Im so thankful we had this team to help us out because they showed us such kindness and patience. They offered excellent guidance and advice, which was invaluable to me since I had very little knowledge about guitars. I would definitely recommend Guitar Center (especially the Sugar Land location) because everyone is so friendly and the service is outstanding!

I would definitely recommend you ask for Steve if you want to repair or even modify your Guitar in Houston, He really does a perfect job, he changed the pickups, and setup my Floydross and it’s just perfect. He is fast because he knows what his doing well. He is a really good guitar player too which I usually couldn’t see with many guitar technician, I mean really good player. I have already recommended him to my musician friends and also recommend you if you want to play like a pro you gotta have a pro setup on your guitar. Get to Steve he makes your Guitar a pro setup.

Really nice people. I went there twice. The first man I spoke to was super helpful as I knew nothing about guitars. He told me exactly what to look for when buying a first guitar. The second, Jaime Vega told me to go with what I felt I knew I clicked with which I loved. They aren’t pushy salesmen and really do want to help you in choose your instrument that fits you. Also, cool store. They have A LOT!

The worst covid response so far. Only 4 or 5 people at a time, they follow you the whole time, and treat you like you have coodies, the hours on the door are wrong and they refuse to take it down. I went to pick up some sticks I had ordered online. The gentlemen in the drum shop was working with another customer and asked me to get help from another employee. I walked to the front to get help from another employee, but he was vacuuming and ignored me. He eventually ask me for help but didnt turn the vacuum cleaner off. When I told him I was there to pick up sticks I had ordered and the gentleman in the drum shop asked me to get help from someone else, he was disgusted.I was trying out some cymbals while I waited for my stick order, but couldnt get anybody to help me after I found a cymbal that I liked.I also wanted to talk to someone how about ordering a new drum kit, but again, there was no available help.Ive been a professional drummer for 40 years. What happened to customer service?

Came here looking for a reliable low cost acoustic and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We just barely made it before closing and we were assured that we didnt need to rush. My daughter gravitated right to the drums of course! Luckily she really digs the electronic sets, so that may be a small blessing in the years to come...

I had to do a warranty on a cymbal pack, and the manager made it very easy and hassle free. I really appreciate the level of service that I received from both the manager and the gentleman working in drums. Id totally recommend this store to anyone. I stopped by while I was visiting Houston. Its a good store, the layout is nice, although the bass section is pretty small. The drum room is great, and well laid out. The acoustic room is huge, and they even have a few v-class guitars, which Ive been wanting to play, so that was awesome. Their dj and stage supplies section is great, and had more of and ends than Ive seen in other stores. Employees were super friendly and helpful. A great experience!

This visit to Guitar Center was atypical, I usually get great service at Guitar Center. Instead I was ignored, when I asked questions I got short answers, and then got overcharged, in part because the person checking me out was arguing with another customer. I can buy everything on Amazon, so why treat customers rudely? I did get some good deals on some used gear. Ill try again, but this location might have some work to do.

Worst customer service. I never go here because it seems no one is working. Wasted my time in there today trying to buy a bass drum pedal. Took forever. Had to go to a different department to get help. Then the guy makes me take the pedal up front because he’s lazy. Then I wanted sticks and the same guy told me to go behind the counter and get them myself. Lost a couple sales today guitar center. Good job!

This guitar center had a lot of great deals on gear. It is very well laid out. The staff was not very helpful, though. I ended up getting guitars off the wall myself with a ladder. It could have been because there seemed to be 3 to 4 employee in the whole store.

Most of the time, I will automatically give a good review, simply because its a music store, but the employees at this Guitar Center were extremely gracious and helpful, answering my questions professionally, but with a casual tone, which I personally love. Its good that the employees lay back a little bit. Also, one the employees was extremely gorgeous, but ignore I said that. Anyways, they helped me with placing my Ibáñez 7-string guitar on layaway, and I picked it up soon after with no issues.

I wish it were not SO-O expensive. However they do have a good size selection, not large but... Anywho, the Guitar guy is Soooo nice, polite, courteous, and professional. He strings my husbands Ukulele for a very reasonable price. Hes dutiful enough to always text and call when the strings arrive in the store. They never have any in stock for a baritone Ukulele but he orders it for us and contacts us accordingly. Thanks so much. Now if yall could lower the prices for items in the store???? LOL. Wish I remembered the name of the employee in percussion. He remembered my son from our previous visit on Christmas Eve. He found exactly what my son was looking for (an in-ear monitor) and encouraged him to play his heart out on the display kits. We hope to see this same employee every time we go back.

If you ever need a practice studio, here is where you will find some great studio rooms. They have drums, amps, PA, piano, mic stands, mics, cables, music stands, lighting, and the expertise to help you get everything setup, connected, and ready to go. This is a great Guitar Center and the folks working there are awesome.

Went in to look at guitars. A young man showed me what was available for what I was looking for. I played a few guitars found one I wanted to buy, however when I went up front I couldnt get anyone to help me. Even though there were several employees gathered around the area. I waited and waited no one ever offered to help with my purchase. I finally just left. I will never go in this location again. Very very poor management and customer service.

The cashier whose name I believe is Dillion was a great help today compared to last Sunday when we stop by between 5:30 and 6 p.m. the cashier that was there that day didnt even ask if we needed any assistance i didnt even bother to get his name because it seemed like he wasnt even acknowledging us or was trying to get us out of the store quickly just made us turn around and leave the store but as always we will always come back because we love this store and Dillion made that decision worth while he was very knowledgeable of everything and helped us out in any and every way he could thank you so much attached is a receipt only for cashier name purposes so that he can get a accredited for kudos Guitar Center definitely will be back as always

I went in for a mic asked if they price matched I also traded in my old mic I also asked if they price matched they said yes the cashier pushed me to the side it took me 2 hours to finally get a microphone just to find out I was over charged the same one that was on Guitarcenter.com for 200.00 but I got charged 340.00 because the associate did not have the knowledge to go to guitarcenter.com instead she went straight to amazon.com not to mention it took 3 different cashiers to complete this 1 transaction I will be there as soon as you guys reopen to return this overpriced microphone I also brung my Yamaha Speaker in that is worth about 399.00 they tried to only give me 10 dollars then 2 associates thought it would be a great joke to say hey Ill give you 15 dollars cash for it which was not funny at all I said please do not try to insult my intelligence that is something that really upsets me Ive been shopping at guitar center for years this was by far the worst shopping experience Ive had with the company and location

I give this place 3 stars ONLY because there is lack of employees to support the DEMAND and NEED of customers. Especially during holidays season. There was only ONE employee assisting us along with everyone else with EVERYTHING. Purchases, assistance on the floor etc. Unexceptional especially coming from a customer service background. This one gentleman who assisted us needs some type of higher position for doing all that he had to do. Very disappointed.

The worst service I have ever received. Bought an epiphone electric guitar and after 2 weeks it started glitching so brought it into the store to have them fix it, I bought the 3 year plan, and they had it for three weeks without it being fixed. We decided to exchange it for a more expensive guitar and paid the difference for the guitar and the protection plan. After two months one of the pickups or wiring went out so brought it in to be fixed, they said it would take a day and ended up taking five days without a phone call. Finally got a phone-call today so came in and it is still not working. No one knows anything about the plan and what happened. Now they’re telling me I have to send it back in through a ups store and wait for a gift card to come back. I would be more patient if they would have called and updated me instead of not calling and then obviously not even in trying the guitar before wasting our time.
