I love the Stanford Bookstore...warmth, spacious and welcoming! Part of a larger cluster of coffee shops and student services.Nice assortment of books, including a full section by Stanford graduates. Naturally a handpicked collection on creativity, critical thinking, innovation etc, And then theres the merch - everything from clothes (especially sweatshirts, tshirts and sportswear) to tumblers, stickers...lots of branded stuff for the whole family. Be sure to check out the lower floors for special offers etc.
I fall in love with Stanford University every time I visit it. College bookstores are one places I make a point in visiting. I can browse the lecture books and purchase some that interest me. I am glad Stanford book store was open however there was more merchandise than books. There were actually hardly any books which is kind of sad that possibly reflects the demands of customers.
Has books by Stanford Profs. I think that’s cool. Books by other authors too. You can get cool Stanford merch there too.
I ordered 2 times from you, both times I received the incorrect hat. First a womens hat I DID NOT order, then a hat that was youth size, once again not what was ordered. Kind of funny, also infuriating. Well played, Stanford. Well played.
Inspiring, humbling, and staffed by some rather insightful characters. It was at the Stanford Bookstore where I first dreamed that I could write a memoir (of course, this was thanks in part to Chanel Millers own memoir, which was handed to me by an attendant named Eric). Unfortunately, upon completion of my manuscript, I realized a key plot point would need to be redacted. Nevertheless, what a magical store!
Stand Ford is one of best college all over country, its the best college .college environment is super cool very pleasant and greenery all most every where tree, orange tree, fountain, there is bike stand for bicycle and electronic machine placed in some of the places for emergency to call 911 for any kind of threat to life or for any emergencies.Must say every American is like luxury to study with full of life .
Its a pretty typical college bookstore. You can buy a ton of school related clothing, accessories, and collectibles as well as we office supplies, books, and dorm products. The prices are a bit high, but that is to be expected for stores of this type. The atmosphere is also really nice.
The bookstore itself is fine, but the staffs manner was horrible. I took my mom to visit there and she was not confident in speaking English so I was with her to greet the staff when we checked out. However, the staff didnt care at all whatever I answered. Its like she just said whatever she was trained to do and did not respond to me at all. And I have no idea why she slowed down her speed of talking to a level that annoyed me so much as if she had to do so otherwise we wouldnt understand. (I admit we arent native speakers but Im resident here and Im comfortable with English). As part of the university, I thought the bookstore would welcome foreigners as much as the university, but apparently we didnt experience that. Its a very disappointing experience.
I frequently visits the Cardinal Bookstore most of the time, in a week, average of 7 times as my pastime spendings.....I really love the collections and the university memorabilias, icons, stationaries, textbooks and everything I want...I really love the campus community.....I will go back soon my alma mater dear...Stanford University
Good amount of merchandise in an open, neat space. Otherwise its your typical university bookstore.
One of my favourite places in the world. Great walk to get here (park outside Cantor Museum)band take 10-15 minute walk. Super place to sit and read for a few hours. Theres a coffee shop upstairs and student supplies in the basement. Insider tip ... use the loo in the basement, not in the coffee shop.
Good Univeristy style gift and bookstore with variety of book subjects .
Great place to be my Stanford related gear and accessories!
Absurd amount of merchandise and clothing to purchase. Youll pay retail price for almost everything, but there is 1000x more options than elsewhere. Very clean and organized. The Stanford store in the mall is tiny, thats nearby off campus.
Not open during shelter in place. Only online pick up available. Takes 1-2 days to fulfill orders. Pretty silly because I can see what I want to purchase through the glass door yet they cant instantly process my online order.
Great curated lists and friendly staff
Need to proceed with purchase via the web first. Only pickup is available. They are doing well to get through this difficult period.
Great bookstore!
Nice customer service, good merchandise
We buy a kids cloth here.
I purchased 5 ipads from Stanforrd Bookstore online on Aug 5th, 2020. They were delayed but I finally got notified that they were shipped out on Aug 19th. I received 1 ipad on Aug 21st. I tried to contact the store about the mixup but due to them being closed no one answered and you couldnt leave a voicemail.. I sent an email about the discrepancy since I was charged for all 5 ipads.I sent a second email on Aug 23rd. It is now Aug 28th and I still have not heard back from anyone about my ipads or a refund of over $1,300.00. Very poor operations! If this is how they do business I would not ever recommend for anyone to buy from this company!
I loved the Stanford campus, the breathtaking church, and the bookstore, which we enjoyed beverages in the 2nd floor refreshment center. Great childrens area, tech area, and adult book area. Also long play records available, and much more. Very clean and green.
I cant go in there....
It was amazing. Stanford University in general is so beautiful. Loved the preservation of the buildings and the church. The engineering wing was beautifully designed and we would love for our children to study here. The monuments The Burghers of Calais is too touching.
Good book store, not big one but selected. This time there have activity for kid. After you buy some book, you can enjoy reading in park nearby. Very good view and weather. You will love it.
Good assortment of Stanford branded souvenirs. Reasonably priced and effective gifts for friends and family back home. Staffs are exceptionally kind and helpful.
Great bookstore. Basement for textbooks. First floor has a ton of variety for Stanford swag. Second floor is a reasonable computer section and then an area that feels like a mini Barnes and Noble. There are couches in this area. There is a cafe.
Everything a student could need. We went on the last stop of our campus tour. My son loved the hospitality and culture that this became the coolest University
Its a fun place to hang out and sample books, but everything is pretty expensive, so if you actually need something practical, like laundry detergent, I would go elsewhere. Lots of Stanford themed swag.
Really nice staff. The place has just about everything youd be looking for as a student; books, clothing, stationery, tech stuff. Most come with a Stanford brand option for a more premium price. Also has a nice little cafe inside.
Good selection. They have a nice kids section. Just like a Barnes and Noble.
It’s a good college bookstore with a good variety and a tasty snack bar. Everything for a student or a fan. Walking location. Very limited parking.
Big bookstore and cute building structure! Love the ceiling! They sell Standford moleskin notebooks that I would totally get if they arent 25 bucks 😂
A wide and diverse range of books here. This is the go-to place to expand your knowledge. I come here often to look at books on how to expand my photography business.
Great customer service and the store is huge. Although at first it can be hard to figure out where to find what you want, the signs are pretty easy to follow and the employees are a great help as well. Everything of course is damn expensive though. But hey, its Stanford.
Saved a little on new iPad mini at the Stanford Bookstore on the Stanford campus. Nice cafe on the second floor. Parking can be difficult during the week when classes are in session. It’s much easier to park on weekends without a permit.
When I visited tge campus, it took me back to my undergraduate days on the Farm. Keep up the great work!!!! Go Card!! Nerd Nation!!!
Visiting the Bookstore to purchase items for a conference. The staff was very helpful, especially Fernando! He was able to get the supplies I needed. Thank you for you help!!!
I wonder from where Stanford students buy their textbooks. This bookstore is nice for visitors, but it is too small for University students! I dont believe you can grad in electrical engineering with the only 3 books I saw there!
Great place to get Stanford souvenirs. Excellent selection of books!
A good place to stop when visiting the Stanford campus. They have drinks and snacks and a wide variety of books and apparel.Open to the public.
Very, very nice staff. Miles if branded clothing. By 2018 standards, the non-textbook part of the store is good but not great. Good selection of laptops, tablets etc for sale, again with really good staff.
Cool experience to see kids buying their books. Huge line that went down to the lower level.
Standard university bookstore experience, nothing to write home about. Used textbooks are still at a considerable markup - recommend going elsewhere if you can if youre not willing to dish out the money for textbooks. Or just be a nice person and lend/borrow old books between friends.
A bit pricey but they have all your Stanford University attire, a coffee shop and they even sell books outta here too. It was where I picked up my textbooks some 35 to 40 years ago. I guess I just dated myself! I do like that you can shop at your leisure without overhelpful clerks invading your space. The nearest parking is on the south side of Tresidder Union.
What can I say good place to look at when your at Stanford University and you want a book or souvenir
Great customer service. There was a long queue at the cashier, while I waited to pay for my purchase but the line moved really fast. They have a wide variety of books.
Most of the newest selections of bestsellers can be found in the first floor near the entrance. Good way to browse them quickly offline.
Alta was super kind and helpful:)
Very good deal and good ideas for everyone else with coupons for everyone else goes well for the teams getting better stuff for everyone else hopefully get better and new soon after
Stanford used to have a good huge bookstore. But they replaced all those books with Stanford sweatshirts.
Had multiple awful experiences with this bookstore, customer service has no idea know what they are doing...system is down day before classes and cant purchase book...accidentally double charge $400 on my moms credit card and wont refund the money...yuck. The textbooks are great but the people who run the store seem pretty clueless how to do their job semi-decently.
Enjoying my visit sipping coffee and reading quietly. Doing some window shopping hoping to buy some mementos later. Courteous staff. May God bless .
Anything you may need that is Stanford related you can definitely find it here. From lunch boxes to t-shirts to Flags to socks. This place is everything Stanford. Make sure you bring a lot of cash or a credit card with a lot of credit because nothing is cheap here.
Awesome university themed gear, pricey but thats to be expected. Great coffee place with lunch options upstairs.
Expensive, but it can be the only place to buy supplies on campus at times. They have a nice selection of classroom aids, souvenirs, and electronics. They also have a cafe on the second floor.
Im not an alumni, but I shop the clearance rack like a crazy person and I always grab great Stanford athletic wear at killer prices. Best Bookstore staff ever, too!
Huge bookstore with a broad selection. Friendly service staff. They know almost every book, its amazing:)
Cozy, but seems less like a bookstore now and more of a Stanford merch store. The selection of books is alright and theres a nice cafe up top, but all the Stanford apparel was just overwhelming.
First floor people at customer service is really nice. Cashiers are really nice and understanding. But when it comes to General books a older guy that works there can be rude to his employees.
A lot of selections, perfectly classified sections, helpful personnels, you will find whatever you want. Overall amazing place!!!
Wonderful selection of university reading and relaxing selections for the whole family. Check the basement for class titles that will spark your imagination. Lots of logo products.Coffee shop upstairs has good sandwiches, coffee and pastry. Relax with your new book.
A good place to browse around when youre in the area. The coffee shop is nice. It has too much university gear, which means theres not much space left for a more extensive book selection.
You can get all kinds of books. They have a great selection for scientific literature. Also you can buy (slightly expensive) Stanford shirts and all kinds of other accessories
It would be nice if they take my FLEX card, its money, people !Sale stuff is still too expensive for a teacher like me to afford anything !
