I am lodging a serious complaint against all of the staff working at the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center located at 459 Lagunita Dr, Stanford, CA 94305 on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.I am a student at Stanford University who received an automated email informing me that my envelope was ready for pick up. When I arrived, I joined a crowd of 50 students crowded in close quarters outside the door. Because every student was calling the office to request their package be brought to the door, the line was busy. Nobody was answering the phone, as nobody came to the door with packages for over 15 minutes at a time, which I measured using the stopwatch on my phone. I attempted calling for over 30 minutes before I heard a ring instead of a busy signal. Whenever an employee did come to the door — which happened only three times over the course of the one hour I waited outside to pick up my envelope — the employees were wearing street clothes instead of uniforms, not wearing name badges, and when asked their name, refused to identify themselves, rudely yelled at the students to call the office, and slammed the door. The employees could then be seen visibly ignoring the ringing phone. The entire experience was atrociously unprofessional and unsafe. There is a reason why Stanford students are strongly encouraged by their peers to mail to the post office rather than FedEx, and todays abhorrent customer service could not have made that reason more clear. How difficult is wearing a uniform instead of street clothes, wearing a name badge, not rudely yelling at customers, and not slamming the door on students? This appalling lack of professionalism warrants an urgent intervention by management. Do better.
Update (April 2021): This locations staff has made significant effort to overhaul the customer experience, and in my opinion they have achieved considerable success. Rating changed from one star to four.Original (February 2021): Staff and customers alike are not happy that this location has become the only option to receive packages for all of Stanford. There is no need for the staff to make the situation worse by failing to stick to posted hours and being rude and unhelpful when they are open.
I had a 60 lb package delivered and they would not let me use their cart that they brought it out on to move the package about 50 ft to my car. Terrible customer service. Not sure why it was an issue for them to let me borrow the cart to move the package to my car for
If youre going to be closed due to covid, you need to update yours hours on here so people dont waste time trying
Terrible service at FedEx at Stanford! Their scanners won’t take my package, even though FedEx said to drop it off exactly here. The staff are rude and unwilling to help, Maria talked back without answering my questions. This is why FedEx is going south!
They are always very kind
Inaccurate hours -- still closed for COVID.
This office is consistently rude, inefficient, and just plain infuriating. Always build in at least an extra day in shipping time because they won’t ever process it until the next day- it’s never worth paying for two day shipping because they’ll never get it to you on time. If it weren’t the only option for shipping on Stanford campus I would literally never use them again. I have ordered countless packages to here over the last two years and not one has ever been given to me on the day it was supposed to be. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Dont go there, we lost 30 mins in the queue to be told that they werent offering the service we needed anymore.
Great location but service is sometimes shaky with long wait times and inefficient package arrival emails
Gets things done.
Terrible customer service- I absolutely hate going here. Theres always 9 employees standing around for every 1 moving the line. Also they beat up your packages until they break. Go to the US Post Office across White Plaza instead- youll pay twice as much, but they wont wont waste your time and wont break your packages.
Very very slow. Wait 20 mins for a package. And rude.
Worst fedex I’ve probably ever been in. Inattentive and dismissive staff
Its on the second floor of tresidder, by the parking lot. The official address is useless!
People are kind and courteous!
Takes forever to process your package.
Staff are patient with students that are frequently unaware of all the machines they are using.
Very rude and dumb service
Poor service, unclear instructions
Pretty convenient
