I felt comfortable from the time I walked in the door for my consultation. Candy makes you feel comfortable right away. After my appointment my hair color is amazing.. I love it and I’ve gotten compliments that I never got before. I’m very happy with everything!!

I love Tessa from My Beyond Looks! I moved to State College a few years ago and bounced around a couple salons before I found Tessa and SO GLAD THAT I DID. She was my hairstylist at another salon and recently moved to My Beyond Looks. I just got my first haircut from her at her new place where she gave me my first big hair change in a few years: brand new middle part, long face framing layers, and a long-ish lob with a wash and wear style. A new hippy style for fall!What I love about Tessa is that she takes the time to really listen to me, look at possible pictures, and consult with me on what works not just with my hair and face but also my lifestyle. I trust her now as much as I trust my childhood hairstylist and thats saying a lot! Im not the most hair or really style savvy, but I always leave with a haircut Im excited about and one that shes taken the time to explain to me how I can quickly and easily reproduce on my own. I have mostly straight, fine red hair (and a lot of it) that I LOVE and I never want to color it -- shes never tried to up-sell me on color and products that I dont need or want or even like.P.S. Theres an adorable salon dog that roams the place too! Its also very bright and airy, even in the now darker and colder days.

I went to quite a few salons around State College before I finally settled in with Bob and Kayla at Beyond Looks. Kayla is great with my color (and a great person) and and Bob is an artist with my cut and style (and a wonderful person with a fun-loving attitude). I love the friendly and laid back attitude, along with the feeling that all the staff are friends, too. No snobs to be found here here! Just a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Eddie is awesome. All the employees are awesome. Prices are reasonable. The haircuts look awesome. I really cant think of any complaints.

Ive had a hard time finding someone i could trust to cut my hair in my 12 years in State College. Buddy of mine recommended Eddie and by far the best experience Ive ever had. Good guy, easy to talk to, and he has great suggestions. If youre looking for someone you can rely on to give you a good look and positive experience, I highly recommended him.

I have been to most of the places in town over my first two years living in State College and this place is the best, hence the five star rating. I have had my haircut by both Haley and Eddie. They both do a great job, but the conversation is always great and entertaining as well. I pay about the same as everywhere else, but here I also have fun while I am getting my haircut.

My mother, myself, my dad, and my grandparents all go here to get our hair cut! I dont trust anyone else to cut my curly hair but Hayley! They really do care to get to know you, not just as a customer, but as a person. Weve been coming here for so many years. If youre on the look for a amazing, welcoming, and trustworthy place for any of your family to get a haircut, here is definitely the place!!!

I took both my boys to Eddie today, and it was hands down the best hair cutting experience weve had. He chatted with them almost the whole time and made them feel completely comfortable. He also works with the hair instead of just giving a generic cut. I cant recommend him enough! It was my almost 2 year olds first major haircut and he rocked it.

Fantastic haircuts! Ive been at a dozen or so barber shops here in State College, and this is by far the most professional place. Bob gives the best haircuts!

First off, the atmosphere is great. Everyone who works there is so friendly and seem to genuinely want to get to know their clients and others clients.I went in to get a cut and color, ombre-ish style. They took me immediately as a walk-in which was really nice. I had Sherri working on my hair. She did a beautiful job on the color. Sherri is newer, so for my cut I had her and two other stylists who had worked on my hair. They showed her techniques and gave her tips throughout the process. I loved this! I actually received some insight as to what was being done to my hair. The end result of the cut was perfect and exactly what I wanted. They did such an amazing job. I definitely would recommend going here to get your hair done.

I absolutely love Hailey!! I had gone somewhere else for the longest time, until my long bob turned into a really short, horrible cut. I was in tears. A few months later, I decided to try Beyond Looks. Ever since, Hailey has been my savior. Ive gone 3 times within 3 months for different things; updo for a wedding and 2 cuts. Every experience has been wonderful!!!

Great staff, knew everyones name that came in the door which I think says a lot about their customer service. First place I found in State College that excepts walk-ins too. I was not impressed with the cost though. Ive never paid so much for just a trim.

The only place I go for a haircut. I have been using them for nearly 10 years and know most of the staff well. They are all great people and do a wonderful job at a good price.
