Im always going to give this place a good review simply because of the memories associated with it.The dairy is clean and smells nice. The service is local and very friendly. I like the idea of recycling their milk jugs. You use them, return them, and theyre sanitized and ready to be used again.Their ice cream treats are delicious! Homemade ice cream straight from the farm dairy. Very creamy and refreshing.

Meyer Dairy Store is a fantastic example of a family-owned and operated business that is a throw-back to when that was normal, before big-box stores and Supermarkets.Locally produced goods, fresh milk, and all the delicious things you can make with it, in a clean and inviting storefront.Their ice cream is spectacular, and the number of flavors they produce is quite a feat.

Out of towner visiting a 70s college-days memory. Great value. To me, it beats the dairy at PSU Creamery. The retro look aint retro...its what it has been. Do yourself right...go to Meyers...for a cone and for milk-based products...and to start your own nostalgic memory.

Meyer Dairy is a must when traveling through state college PA!! It’s homegrown and their flavors are fantastic! Personally, I recommend the brownie dough. It’s a great flavor (especially with marshmallow topping!). It’s affordable and they have a small market set up inside if you’re looking for something else to go with your ice cream!

I stopped by after hearing great things about the Meyer Dairy ice cream... Unfortunately, the ice cream turned out to be very mediocre, along the same quality as store brand from your local grocery store. I wouldnt have minded this had the price not been outrageous. This is the most expensive ice cream Ive ever had, and the portion size was also small. I hear their milk is great though...

A favourite for over 25 years and an iconic destination in State College, their sundaes win one over. Do NOT miss their hot fudge topping. This trip was after 6 months and this hitherto cash-only business now accepts cards AND has reinstated its caramel topping albeit not the Hot Caramel of then. Their whipped cream is their own honest-to-goodness dairy cream from their own cows. Milkshakes require a spoon. So thick. Heaven for ice cream lovers. Many unique flavours too.

People keeps saying that the Penn State Creamery has the best ice cream. Well, I say those people didnt try Meyer Dairy.I came in with relatively low expectations and when I tried the ice cream for the first time I was blown away. I also tried their chocolate milk and its way better than the Penn State Creamery or any other store bought chocolate milk. I can safely say that Meyer dairy has the best ice cream and chocolate milk in town.

Not as good as the Penn State Creamery. Give the extra effort to drive there instead. Why? Ice cream at Meyer Dairy is too icy (too high water content), and as a result has bad texture and melts too fast. Too much sugar content, meaning that flavors are less complex. Still good ice cream though, giving it 4 stars.

I am only rating the ice cream at this time. It is excellent. The oreos in the cookies and cream were pulverized so that the whole thing tasted like oreos, not vanilla with cookie chunks. The maple walnut seemed to have black walnuts. This was a surprise, but an interesting choice. Their other flavors looked good as well. The texture was excellent, not pumped up with air. Prices were reasonable, staff was helpful.

Low quality on both staff and products.I picked the first egg tray in the front and walked to the cashier, then just handing money to the cashier while open up the tray over there to find out every single eggs were cracked. That cashier b**** said I already paid for it, its mine, I need to be responsible for the cracks.I turned back to check on other trays, almost every tray in front was cracked just like mine. That cashier still said I could have cracked them myself, when I picked it up. Even we can clearly see the egg white that leaked out was dried already. That means it must has been cracked for a while. That b still stand firm that I must take it or pay for another one. This is the worst experience on any supermarket Ive been. Definitely wont go back there ever again.

Outstanding place to buy high-quality milk products, high quality ice cream, high quality orange juice, high quality farm fresh eggs, excellent customer service outstanding workers. Prices are decent for what we get. Ive invested in eight glass bottles from there I keep forgetting to take the empties with me so I guess if I cash them all in for two gallons I end up with some free stuff Thats okay by me I really enjoy what they offer today in 2020 My mother recommended I stopped there over a year ago for their hot food bar?. Yes apparently at one time they had a hot food bar with the best hot dogs hamburgers cheeseburgers hot sausages whatnot and now they do not serve hot food. All good though I bet it was really good.

Its a nice, local ice cream parlor with pretty decent ice cream. Theres a dine-in area (cant comment on that thanks to Covid) on one side, and a small general store/grocery store on the other. Its a small local dairy. The best ice cream and milk you will get in the area. Its better than the creamery. They also offer other things like chips from the local area, maple syrup, jams, jellies, and eggs. It depends on the season. Be sure you take cash though, its cash only but so worth it. Also, if you reuse the glass milk jugs they offer, it is cheaper.

Just dropped our daughter off for her freshman year and my sister in law told us about Meyer Dairy. Ive had Berkey Creamery and I have to say Meyer Dairy is better....All the locals know and keep it a secret. They dont just do ice cream, they have fresh milk, cheese, baked goods and other farm goods. You can get a cone, but I would recommend a cup. A small is 2 scoops and a large is 3 scoops! They will. Let you mix and match! We spent $16 for 4 large cups! It was a deal!Try the chocolate peanut butter or chocolate chip. Enjoy!
