Very helpful staff. I had two violins repaired there and they both came back in good condition, quickly. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I stopped in today to get my guitar re-strung and the staff was super helpful. They were able to do it right on the spot and even took the time to show me how to tune my guitar to an open D. Would highly recommend supporting this local business. Ill be back!

A nice little music shop with a great selection.

I went into Music Mart looking for several items, and the friendly associate took me through the store and helped find everything.

I am a local musician in State College, and use Music Mart for most of my supplies. Very friendly staff, have helped me choose the right product more than once. As one reviewer noted, not as cheap as online, but that is to be expected. You have to choose your experience, and frankly Id rather support a local business.I am classically trained on piano and self taught acoustic guitar and vocals. When I go into the store I ask questions based on my lack of experience in what I am looking for. I dont pretend to know something I dont, nor do I act like I am a famous musician. I think there is a tendency for guitar heroes to act that way, and it is not well received. You get back what you put out there, so be open and you will get great service.I think the attitude of the staff is fantastic, very friendly and helpful, not condescending as can be the case with musicians-turned-clerks who think they should be world recording artists. These are good guys and want to help you.

Stopped by just because I had time to kill. They were really cool and helpful. Was looking for an effects peddle I wasnt sure was even made. Paul took the time to research and find one. Printed out the website info because it can only be ordered direct. Lots of time and energy and no sale. Most places would be like sorry. Not the fellows at the Music Mart. Will stop by again when in town

The customer service was fantastic! Very knowledgable of the music equipment and all products and services they provide. Customer Service/Sales Clerk was amazing and so helpful to me when I was picking out the perfect electric gutair for my son. They provided a free gutair lesson for my son with my purchase. My son has been back to the store many times since my purchase and has purchased a new acustic gutair since my purchase.

Horrible experience. They are rude and disrespectful. I have never been treated so poorly by someone who works in a store. Avoid this place.

Nice little music shop. Not a ton of selection but nice instruments with what they have.

Last August I was in the process of replacing subwoofers in a local venue, and figured I would try reconing some of the bad speakers. I dropped one off at Muisc Mart to have a comparison between my work and what their house engineer could do. After having been a month and not hearing anything from Music Mart, I went into the shop to see the status of my speaker. It sat in the same exact spot as when I dropped it off. After talking to who I assumed to be the owner, he said he would get it looked at asap. Well, its now 8 months later and still no call/progress. In addition, when shopping for speakers for another venue, they had mentioned some instals they had done in some local fraternities. After checking one of the instals, it seems the person had little to no knowledge of how to properly put in a sound system. The speakers were mounted on a wall about 20ft up, and pointed straight ahead. In addition, the wiring of the amp/mixer seemed shoddy. Made for horrible acoustics, and for the price of the system, they could have had something that sounded amazing.

Horrible customer service, bad selection, wouldnt go ever again or recommend it to anyone.
