Had a huge bolt in a tire. I needed four new tires because my car is all wheel drive and the tread has to match. I couldnt afford four new tires at the moment . They had a used tire with the same amount of tread as the other 3 for less then half of what I expected to pay and hardly took any time to put it on. I will be going back when I can afford to get all new tires.

Super, I moved to Staunton in 2016 and needed a mechanic. I absolutely love my mechanic in Richmond (RVA). I am always apprehensive about relocating to a new area about peoples honesty in providing good service and quality of work. I was reluctant in trying Hershey Tires and Auto Repairs after my vehicle needed tired and work bout 2 years ago. It was a great decision. The front desk attendant was attentive, friendly, and even smiled to greet you entering the business. The quality of work is outstanding, including customer service. I totally trust and support Hershey Tires and Auto Repairs.

Ive taken my car here for the last year and these guys are for real. Honest, affordable, good service. They can get busy so its a good idea to call ahead if you have an appointment to confirm the time.

These people are AMAZING! I went in for a simple state inspection, never having visited them before and Im so glad I did! I did call ahead of time to make an appointment but super easy to do. Fairly easy to get to. The staff and mechanics are all so sweet and humble. They just happened to be having a busier evening and kept apologizing for the time I had to wait which is not even something I was much worried about. The cost for tires and labor was absolutely fair. In terms of ratings, the only reason it did not meet 5/5 is due to the difficulty maneuvering within and out of the lot but thats all.

Can’t say enough good things about Hershey Tire. I have had some bad experiences with other shops in the past, but Hershey has kept me coming back. They are always professional and friendly. You can tell they really care about fixing your car correctly and timely. They have handled everything from oil changes and tire rotations to bigger brake jobs and suspension repairs. Plus I like the fact that they are a local business.

Recently had my Jeep inspected and had to call them afterwards. Not for a problem or complaint, quite the opposite. I had to call them to thank them. I had forgotten that I was due for an oil change; not only did they catch it, they handled it for me. I love these guys - totally trustworthy, and how do you put a dollar value on that?

I heard some rattling under my car, and went to three different local car auto repair places and was completely disregarded. The mechanics at Hersheys Tire not only went for a test drive with me but were able to locate the problem and help me fix it within minutes. I would highly recommend them.

The time I was there was extremely pleasant. Was in and out in under 30 mins (inspection) and even had to come back later that same day for tire patch for a flat! It was smooth, fast and priced fairly! What more could you ask?!

The one time I took my car here it came back with more issues than it had when I brought it in. They also wanted to charge me 600 some dollars for a job that another local mechanic did for 400. Dont go to them, there are cheaper and better options nearby.

I have had two very negative experiences here recently. First was when a wrench was left on a caliper after a break job and I lost fluid and breaking half way home. Second was when I waited an hour for a state inspection only to be told that a tie rod end didn’t pass. That should have been found within 10 minutes of my appointed time.

Had to have my car towed here overnight on a Sunday for a blow out and by 1030am the next day car was ready for me with 4 new tires (of my choosing - great selection on hand). Thanks Hershey. Price was fair, service was fast.

Wonderful people to deal with.

Long story short they have done nothing but the wrong thing. We took our car to get a diagnostic, they told us the problem and we said okay and picked up the car. Turns out they didnt replace the radiator cap and halfway down the road the car starts smoking like never before. I know its only six dollars for a radiator cap but the fact that they couldnt even remember to put it back on really says a lot about their work ethic.We decided to give them a second chance because we all mess up sometimes and they told us that it would take one day to fix the problem. Were on day four now with no end in sight. Im a so incredibly disappoint in this whole company. They do not seem to care or even know when the car will be fixed and havent given a straight answer throughout this whole process. I wish I could give them a zero star.

Ask them to clean a battery post I was getting an oil change post could have been cleaned while oil was draining! They charged me 42 dollars 4 a 5 minute job at most!! I will never go back again!! They lost a many year customer!!!! If you go there you are a fool! Companies dont realize what that 42 dollars they ripped me off for will cost them a lot more in lost business!!

They replaced my tires. I went based on a recommendation. They were very quick & reasonable. Very pleasant & friendly staff. I recently had to return for a tire pressure issue and the staff was so helpful. Highly recommend!!

Great customer service and safety measures.

I trust the honesty of the workers at this shop. There was a slight miscommunication about a repair that I needed (after I called the front desk with revised instructions from what Id given the mechanic), and rather than charge me the full price of the work they did, they amended the bill to match a lower estimate I had received from a different company. I am very grateful because I felt more confident in the abilities of Hersheys mechanic, but didnt think I could afford the price difference.

Quality is definitely not good here. They are always busy, which in itself is fine, but they seem to rush through the jobs. I usually asked for a tire rotation when I got oil changes and most of the time they forgot. Ive bought all four tires there recently and have had a lot of trouble after. One new tire they put on and didnt put the stem back correctly, so the tire didnt hold air. Had to go back to get it fixed and was charged for it. Just now I had to stop at another local shop because my car started shaking - one tire was about to fall off. They tell me the tire lugnuts were put on too tight when I bought the new tires at Hershey a couple months ago, so a few eventually sheared off. Also apparently used one wrong lugnut. The mechanics here need to slow down and do the jobs correctly.

They were nice, but $400 out and my car isnt fixed at all. Not sure Id recommend them to anyone if you dont already know whats wrong with your car.

Ive been going there for years! I trust this business, and Ive never been disappointed. The staff are honest, courteous, and the prices are reasonable. As an older female, I particularly like that they listen to what youre saying, without being condescending. All this, and they do a great job on your vehicle!

Hershey tire is by far the best Tire/Mechanic shop here in Staunton. Ive lived in this town for ten years and have never once been disappointed with their prices, service, and hospitality EVERY single time I do business with them. Their staff goes above and beyond to give high quality service at a fair price. If youre shopping around for tires or any auto mechanic work than there is no comparison to any other Im town.. Hershey Tire stands second to none in there line of business and it shows!

They are friendly, polite, and highly competent. Their waiting area is nicely furnished and they dont make you feel like a burden if you are waiting. Because of their high number of customers, you will definitely need to schedule in advance for appointments to get the best times! Arrive early if possible. Their staff are really polite and knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions from people like me who know little about cars. Prices very reasonable too. Once, one of their staff came to explain every item on my bill in detail as I asked questions, prioritizing what was needed most and keeping my budget in mind without embarassing me (this was at a time I had just lost a job, and $$ was tight!). She was clearly interested in helping me and not trying to upsell, which really raised my opinion of their values and customer service. I recommend them highly. The only downside is that you cant really do walk-ins because they are so busy -- but you can leave your car overnight or for the day, and there are bus stations nearby if you need transport. They are near historic downtown and one of the parks, so if you do have to wait, theres plenty to do.

Had my truck inspected. The mechanic went over it from front to back to include the bottom. I got in and out in about an hour. The sales people are real nice and takes interest in what you have to say. Luckily I didnt have anything wrong this time.

I always get great service here. Chad and Steve are quite helpful. They can perform your scheduled maintenance too. They have kept several of my ‘older’ vehicles reliable for many years.

When I first began going to Hershey Tire we were living near Staunton where they are located. Even though we now live in another county 30 miles away, I choose to make the trip to Hershey Tire because I know I can trust them. I have always received honest and professional answers, advice and service from them. Their prices have been fair and I have always been pleased with the quality of work they perform. I have no hesitancy in recommending them to anyone who needs tires or any of the other services they offer.

Totally blown away by how fantastic these guys and gals are. My bill was far below the estimate, and I planned on spending the whole day waiting but ended up walking out in less than 2 1/2 hours. The staff was friendly and I am super impressed by how well me and my truck were taken care of. Ive lived in 6 different states now and I have never once had an experience this all-around positive. After going to the dealership & being told that they could not fix the one with the nail, but that I needed FOUR new tires, I stopped in to Hershey. Inexpensive, but quality service

I am very disappointed with the management of the shop. Ive been a customer since 2004, and I had never had a problem then. But for the last 3 years I have been having a lot of inconveniences and problems with the management and car repairs. Since, the location is convenient for me I was trying and trying to have the chance of them repairing my cars, but over and over I have been having issues with their timing. And today I took the decision to not go over their ever again. Until, they get a new management system. I placed a star but they dont deserve even 1.

Always great service! (Until covid)My husband took his truck in for tires and alignment. The alignment guy was only there three days a week and was off the previous week. This is a Wednesday. Husband was told at lunchtime that they may not get the alignment done that day. Husband pays close to $660 for tires and oil change. Truck is parked in mud which is then thrown onto truck that we thoroughly cleaned two weeks ago and has been driven only on pavement. Who wants to look at new tires covered in mud? What was the point of scheduling an alignment if it couldnt be done when scheduled?

They know how to take the advantage of the situation. Once I had my battery dead, I came here towed my vehicle. Cant believe they charged me 250 for a battery. The battery was 70 in costco. If I would go Walmart could save my money. Please dont go there. They will charge you heavily.

This is the second time Ive waited over an hour and a half for an oil change. I heard them talking at the counter. They were all bragging about how great it was to be done so early. Meanwhile my car sits, un-serviced. Im the last person there. They knew I was there, they knew it had been an egregiously long time to wait, they knew Id been waiting. The mechanic admitted he didnt hear them call. When he finally took my car back it was returned to its spot in less than 10 minutes. I doubt the oil change had even been done. I paid for the service and they didnt say a word to me. No apology, no excuse, no explanation. Give us the money and go.Ive come here for state inspections with knowledge of multiples of things required to pass inspection not functioning on my vehicle and it passes every time. They dont care. Ive doubted their work every time Ive come here. Not again. No more. Not worth my time or safety.

Great tire servicing. Their diagnostic and repair rates are ridiculously overpriced. Their hourly rate should differ based off of scope of work, not be a flat rate, outrageous.

Brought a vehicle in for a pre-purchase assessment. Had an appointment. It took them 15min. before they even pulled it into the bay. Looked at it for only 10min. and I waited for another 40min. before they called me back up to the counter. They said there was nothing wrong with it and didnt mention the 5 things I found wrong myself without me being a mechanic or looking under the car.
