I needed to replace a part for my mother’s older Maytag washer. I searched online and was unsuccessful in finding the part replacement, including the manufacture. They said it couldn’t be found. Then I went to Fort Steuben Appliance and they couldn’t have been more helpful! They found the part, sent for it, and I received it within days! My message to you is to go to Fort Steuben Appliance FIRST. They were knowledgeable, experienced and extremely helpful. So think global and buy local.

The owner is a fair guy he will try to help you save money and turn u away even take the time to help you find something cheaper and give you all the information you need to get it. Instead of taking your money amd charging you more. Now why cant all business owners have morales like this amd anyone that ever asks me about something be sells there Im sending them his way and will even just tell ppl its a place tk gk if need an appliance or one fixed. I purchased upright freezer 5 days ago & It was delivered today. I was pleased with the delivery and with the 2 men who brought it in. They introduced themselves, were polite and cleaned up boxes, plastic took everything with them. Yes, I would buy again

I called and set an appointment time. They were late and called to reschedule to a later time. We agreed and they were also late for the second time. They again called to reschedule for the following day, to which I agreed to a 10 AM time. Again they were late by almost an hour. They charged $300 and when I asked about only paying $250 because they were late 3 times in 2 days I was told by them Im doing you a favor by fixing your washing machine. I called and spoke to the owner who pretty much reiterated what the technician had said. I had no choice as to pay the $300 for the favor they had so graciously did. So understand that is the way they run their business, they are doing you a favor and not working to a level of quality that is acceptable. That was my first and last experience with them, and will be using Sears next time.Edit Reply: You were not the only one that would fix the washing machine, Sears was more than willing to but I choose your small business instead. And I was not rude to your daughter and talked to you the same way I talked to her. If you wish to slander and lie about the experience that is fine, that says more to your character than mine. You display horrible business practices and thats the reason you have a 3 star review. Im one review among many that have complained about the same thing, so this is not an isolated incident with your company. Most of your positive reviews are about your sales team and bad reviews are about the repairs, that speaks for itself.

Bought a dryer and it doesnt work properly so i schedule to have it fix since they wont take back something they sold me a few weeks ago. 1st scheduled appointment they dont show and didnt contact me until after the time they were suppose to be there. 2nd appointment on a Saturday had plans with the kids but have to cancel to wait around to get the broken dryer they sold me repaired and once again no show and they finally contact me after they were supposed to be there complaining about hectic day and its their day off like Ive inconvenienced them. this place is a joke they dont care about the customer and act like theyre doing you a favor by fixing the junk they sold you, save your money and go somewhere that actually cares

Under new ownership,NOT the rip off that used to run it when it was on 4th St.very affordable parts for any income.You can fill out for credit IF approved you can set your own payment amount and the length(months) till paid off.What you are comfortable with.All new appliances and some used not many.Way better from previous owner.If they dont have a part your looking for they will get it!!Very helpful worker(Jenny) has helped me very very much with getting my dryer working.Thank You for that!!Recommended to any on any budget or no budget.You wont be disappointed😁

I had attempted to purchase a brand new Crosley Washing Machine thru Fort Steuben Appliances. The Owner was very rude, hostile, and very unprofessional. We had issues with this brand new washer, I had called and had their service technician out yesterday and she claimed nothing was wrong with it. However, the water levels were not high enough to even soak the clothes, tried to drain and spin a load of bedding which consisted of sheets, and thin blankets and ended up having to take them to a laundromat because it wouldnt spin them out. When contacting the owner today, he said hed call me back within a half hour, however and hour went by and he did not call, he pushed it onto his delivery people. Gave wrong phone number to them, therefore I had no idea what was going on until they just showed up. Confirmed they had been given the wrong number, then said they had a new washer to deliver. All fine and dandy, however the owner did not take care of his customer, not this customer at least because other customers were more important. Is it because they where making a purchase and not dealing with an issue or problem with a purchase as I was? Who knows. Then, we go out to just tell the delivery driver to come take this one, we didnt want it replaced, and he told us I have waited to long, I have another delivery in town, and have to get there. Needless to say, still have the washer without a solution. Called the company I am leasing the washer thru to have it resolved.Very poor ownership, customer care, and absolutely awful to deal with. No respect at all given.

Bought a refrigerator and washerWithin a few months washer broke down paid $60 to replace a part. Within a months time broke down. Called 3 times said they were setting me up for service on Monday never called or showed up. Called back said they would get with owner to set up service calling me at 5. No phone call. I recommend not going there customer service is terrible. I’m buying a new washer that is reliable.

I do not recommend shopping here!! All they care about is making the sale and getting your money!! They do not return calls and also will schedule a tech to come out and when you take the day off work to sit there and wait they dont show up (on 3 different occasions)! Finally my husband had to call and be stern to get them to come put our fridge in the house!! Just to get cussed out by one of the employees who proceeded to tell my husband he was going to split his wig!! Very bad business!! After 5 days and many phone calls (to them, NEVER returned) we finally got someone to come out to put the fridge inside. Now I guess Im going to have a fight on my hands trying to get them to actually come fix the washer that we just got and cant use and also get a lent trap for the dryer!! I definitely regret spending the amount of money we did with them!!! Its sad that some of the other reviews are almost exactly what we are dealing with!! They do not care about customers unless it is to make the sale, then you are on your own!! Now I can say some of the employees are very polite and respectful and it was a pleasure dealing with them but that is the only nice thing I can say!!

There is nothing less than 1 star. Every fridge weve had to borrow has not really worked since the fridge we bought didnt work. This one we have now ( which is older than the one we are paying for) getting them to fix anything is like pulling teeth. Terrible place to buy appliances. Would not recommend.

Mike tried to sell me a $5 part for $18.I made the mistake of calling down before hand to see if they stalked that part. “Technician” told me he was not sure how much they were selling it. I get down there and there is the part in a clear plastic baggy with a “$17.99” freshly wrote on it with a sharpie.Gives me a line about not selling aftermarket parts. Not selling aftermarket parts at a used appliance store? Haha hahaI expect, and am always willing, to pay more at small businesses but I draw the line at getting ripped off.My part will be here in two days. $4.80 well spent.Shop there at your own risk.

Called yesterday (Wed) was supposed to call back and come pick up dryer for repair. No call no show. I called multiple times as well did my husband and nothing. No answer and cant even leave a voicemail. DO NOT RECOMMEND. seems like they would of been a headache to deal with anyway.

I’ve called for 2 weeks trying to get someone to come out and fix my dryer! No answer no answer no answer! What kind of business is this? Or is it even open? Why advertise to fix appliances when you don’t even answer the phone???

Appliance Depot came out to inspect my appliance on February 23rd. Told me part would be in within the week and after a month passed, they sent a technician to complete the repair WITHOUT THE PART. Another month has passed and they still have not completed the repair. I honestly do not know how this company is in business. They should be investigated for fraud.

Bought a dryer from this place got a 1 year warranty and it worked fine for about 2 weeks then every once in a while it wouldnt turn on so I called...the repair man came out with in days and said it was a sensor and he would be back in a week to fix the problem...that was over 2 months ago. Every time me and gf call we either get no answer or they say we just got parts on today we will call u back later and let u know if urs came in then never hear back from them...the dryer still only works half the time and we just keep getting the run aroundedit: 8 months later and still no call back

Literally sold me two none working and non complete appliances. Now I have to spend more money just to get the law involved. Don’t recommend never returns calls or makes good on their products!!!

A month ago I purchased a washer. It didnt work. They switched it after I went down there several times. It wont drain. Went back down there. They dont care. They want your money for brokedown appliances. I will not be a repeat customer. I will not recommend this store to anyone. Im out the money for a washer and I still have no working washer. This is what I get for trusting a local business????

Went in here to ask about a part for a washer. No one greeted us or even acknowledged that we were in the store. Two older ladies were in the back of the store bickering loudly at one another, they didnt acknowledge us either. Did 3 or 4 laps around the store waiting for some assistance. We ending up just walking out. Upon reading the rest of the reviews on here, Im glad we left!

First off the guy tells me hell charge me only for the part to fix my dryer bc he knows my family. Then after 4 weeks of back and forth phone calls I call and tell them Ill pay anything to get my dryer fixed bc I have 3 kids. No one ever calls back. Then after my boyfriend calls and makes an agreement with them that after giving them 3 broken dryers theyll give us 1 working dryer bc it had already been 2 months without a dryer, they call us and we go get a.. .broken dryer! They send some guys up who say theyll bring a part the next day but no one ever came, no one ever answered our calls, nothing. Its been 4 months and I still go to the laundry mat every 3 days to dry my clothes! I dont know who operates a business like this.

Mike, the owner of appliance Depot after 30 days has failed to fix the oven. Does not return calls or respond to letters sent from the BBB.Has our money and of course no refunds.

I woild rather go without a appliance then to buy one from them bought a stove thursday said itll be delivered the next day and it didnt had to wait til sunday when the owner had to bring me it in his pick up truck

My dad needed a new fridge, wanted to spend his dollars locally instead of the big box store, so he bought a fridge from them (overpriced IMO) and not long after, it needed serviced. Here we go. He had to play phone tag with the office and the repairman who didnt show up when the office said he would. Very poor communication. He finally did come out and figured out what part it needed, said, Be back with the part next week. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND NO WORD FROM THEM! Meanwhile my dad has been having to throw out spoiled food or taking his chances eating food thats not being kept at the correct temperature. He should have bought a new one from LOWES and been done with it!!!!!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could the lady answering the phone was very rude and unprofessional. Call to see about getting a dryer fixed and she had an attitude trying to tell me the place was never called 4th Street Appliance and shes never heard of it just lost my business and I bought all my stuff from 4th Street Appliance someone else will get my money for this repair they really need to hire someone

Bought stove and refrigerator in late March, both broke down in June, they are selling garbage.

If I could put a half star, I would. Sold me a broken appliance, they came and took it to get repaired and brought a BROKEN loaner. They also dont answer calls.

Worst experience ive ever had with a business. No communication, or return phone calls at all. They purchased parts without asking, or contacting me first. My dishwasher has been there almost 2 weeks now. I writing it off as a loss.

Bought a fridge and stove there within days had to replace fridge now some 2 and a half months that fridge is leaking water going somewhere else this time their 30day warranty is up very hurt by this my husband is ill and this is hard on us
