Best fish monger in all the valley. You would have to go to San Francisco to find anything comparable. Fantastic meat counter and butchers as well.
Only my second time here and Im wondering... Is it me?First time I thought they were a little rude, this time was more of the same.If one of their loved ones were sick and came to my workplace (healthcare) and I treated them the way they treat me... 🥺😖🤔(why? cause Im white and not Asian and speak English and am not to familiar with proper fish etiquette...?)Maybe the third times a charm.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness. I believe that they try their best but appears that it is not enough. Perhaps would be a good idea to get a suggestion from Safeway or Target how they do their cleaning protocols. Concern about expiration dates because some of the food products they sell has none.
This is the place to go if youre looking for cheap Asian food. I dont trust the .est only because this place smells like rotten meat. But the produce is decent t and you can find everything you need to cook any kind of Asian dish.
Go to the back and try the fish. They clean it and fry it on site. Yummy 😋
Smells like fish ( they have a live fish market inside.) For me this place is an outing like going to a big flea market,as you never know what new thing you might discover. As a born American some food items are new to me and I must try them alllll lol. They have low prices and I love the vietnamese coffee I buy by the bag for like half the price of shopping Amazon. It takes a very long time to see everything as there is just so much here. Noodles, sauces, produce ( some Id never heard of and can only get here)fresh meat counter but not much baked goods youd recognize(unless you are Asian), Exotic Food galore if you arent. You wont find alot of the goods youd find at your regular grocer...such as cleaning supplies and pet foods. But for an Asian market as far as Ive seen, this ones tops. Cool place to check out on a weekend. Do be aware tho that you wont find an english speaking store clerk to ask what you do with the new food you found, youre pretty much on your own figuring the stuff out. Worth a visit all the same.
We just moved from Los angeles and this asian market is the best in town so far. Had everything we need to cook our favorite things! I am sure you can find what ever Asian cuisine you need you just need to search for it this place is huge!
We love the large selection of items in our local Asian markets that are typically not available in many American markets.San Francisco (SF) Supermarket has high quality foods and items and everything we have bought there has been yummy. Enjoy!
I shop here often for fresh produce, seafood and products from my country. I dont have any major complains about this place apart from they often run out of stock on my favorite things 😄😄😄
Inventory is slightly reduced and not quite as many fresh imports, but still great. Hopefully global shipping will get back to normal soon! Still has 99% of the hard to find items you look for at SF Market, and still the best instant noodle selection in town.
Very clean good prices and people friendly.
Good place to get your local asian groceries. Live seafood here. I usually come here for the asian ice cream and bigger selection of asian beverages. Could have long checkout lines, but they are usually
Pretty close to ranch 99. Doesnt have hot food though. And barely any taiwanese products. Its definitely a mix of all asia here.
Went to get taro root here but there were like maybe 6 or 7 or more flies on the taro root just sitting on it. Looks like someone else was going to buy but after seeing the flys they just left the bag there. The Store is clean but on this day the flys won. I still bought my soy sauce cause they have a big variety and selection there. Had to go to another Chinese supermarket at el dorado.
Specialty store everyone might not like smell walking in, but I like it has things I like and need.
Love this place for its variety of products. The only thing that I dont like is the stinky smell of fish inside this store.
This is my go-to Asian shop to stock up on sauces and other dry goods.
This place has everything I need! Each time Ive been there they have some one cleaning the floors! Its great.
Decent place to buy your Asian product needs
Seafood always fresh good prices
My go to place for my fish products.Well stocked Asian products shop.
Ever reliable mainly Asian produce. Usually go in for beef/pork ribs, reasonably priced live crab 🦀 and Fish. In general wide variety of items
New clean floors lately. Its a clean Asian market.
This place is huge and carries multiple brands of items. It was a crowded Saturday but every one had a mask on and gave each other space. They seem to have some hard to find Vietnamese brands.
Its always good until its bad. Should be first come first served at the fish counter - PERIOD. Let me preface by saying this was not the first time they have done this to me its just that today I was not going to take it anymore - so I spoke up. I showed up at the fish counter - of all issues over fish (unbelievable)! There were 3 people there ahead of me and I waited until they were served. I was the fourth. Then 5 more people showed up on the other side of where I was standing and those people were served first. I then waved down the men and told them I have been waiting here for a while to be served my turn. One of the old men shook his head and said just wait! Are you kidding me? I have things to do! I had already waited my turn and even more! So I waited again. That same old man finished off the customer, walks over to my direction and serves another customer right in front of me even though I already told him I was there first! Are you kidding me! Like I dont have anything else to do with my life except to wait there for them! Wasting my time.Whenever I go somewhere that runs off of a first come first served basis rule, I ALWAYS am considerate of who is there first because customers deserve to be served based on who arrives first, second, etc... Its common decency to do so and other customers should follow that as well. I ended up getting into it with another customer because he and his wife were not paying attention and didnt concede when the old man served them before me even though I arrived first. Its an honest mistake I agree. But the wife started shouting He [reffering to me] should have said something, he should have been louder! I definitely did say something but she wasnt there when I spoke up - she went off somewhere to get something. The husband was there though and he heard me but didnt say anything. The husband started talking Smack and cursing this Motherf@cker is saying we crowded him! Guess what you did! And if you were paying attention you would have known that. How indecent, discurtious and oblivious! And you were approaching me as if you wanted to get violent, saw you start to flex on me - over fish mind you. You stopped yourself but I saw that look on your masked face. These are the kind of interactions that happen when a system is not in place to take care of the customers. A simple ticket system would solve this. I told this to the manager over the phone. He agreed and apologized. Doesnt make up for the other times they wasted my time and today someone wanted to get physical with me for speaking up. I bought from this establishment for years. However, at least for now, I will take my business elsewhere.Yes they have a good selection. Yes the aisles are clean. But the customer service needs improvement - another customer flexed on me and wanted to get physical because of their poor service. Was I supposed to allow them to waste my time after the umpteenth time even after speaking up? You tell me.
Store was clean and cashier was friendly and helpful.
Place is always busy. Great selection of meat and grocery items. Early afternoon is best time to go.
Typical Chinese market. You can smell the fish from isles away and they have some products right on the floor. Cashiers seem bitter like its their last day @ work and theres no wait but sometimes people jump right in line as if youre not even there. The positive thing about this place is that they have the most choices around here when it comes to some items like ramyuns, snacks and obviously, fish!
Variety of Asian food, floors is always clean but cash out line could be better, aisle is too cluttered.
I love the variety of food options. My daughter and I enjoy shopping there
This place has all kind products your need it
I love to buy peeled garlic, noodles, soy sauce, oyester sauce, chilli garlic sauce, extra firm tofu, brooms, lychee snacks, peanut snacks. They also have live fish etc. I have bought fish here. They have ethnic ice cream such as ube and macapona ice cream which I both love. Being a Pakistani American, I appreciate the champagne mangoes and grapes which are imported from Mexico. They taste like the ones from back home.
Great place to shop local. A great variety of fresh fish an seafood
Im from San Diego and just moved here, I was looking up quite a few asian markets and saw this one. They are definitely one of the best Ive been to and have everything you need.
Great place lots of goodies, fresh fish pretty good stock of veggies, meat, noodles, rice and things you did know you needed.
I shop here for my Korean food craves.
Merchandise are more expensive than other places with similar items
Love asian supermarket fresh fish any kind you want my favorite is pano pano so tasty white meat less bones love it, I only went straight to fish area just by looking around they go everything for cooking and also junk food vegetables .
Best place for Asian people. Im Asian and this is one of the best supermarkets. Nothing has never been gone or there isnt short stock of anything
They have a lot of options for food. It’s too bad no one speaks English.
Very clean but I think the lines can be a little quicker.
Love SF Supermarket they have most everything I want and the closes store near by me.
Love this place. Perfect for Asian cuisine cooking. Make sure you have your hand sanitizer with you.
Has all the asian cooking sauce and ingredients out there in the market. I like that these guys open through the holidays.
If you want to make pho at home they have the spices prepackaged for you.
I dont come as much but I do like the store
They have the most extensive variety of Asian groceries in Stockton. Store is generally clean. The free fish fry is a big plus for the seafood department which is also the largest in Stockton.
Lines always take so0o0o long.
A huge fresh fish selection and they even fry fish for you if u want them too. Even pick your live fish from tank.. now thats fresh. Big lobster.. plenty live crabs.. and much more
Its OK. Shunfa supermarket. Its the same all over the United States. Feels good.
They have a plethora of Asian food items and some non asian items as well.
Always busy...hard to find anyone to ask questions. But they everything.
The store is not very spacious considering how much items they cram in into this place, but they are not dead tight either. Its definitely comfortable enough to do some monthly shopping during non-peak hours. One major downside to this is, like many asian stores, the cleanliness. This place is definitely not the most sanitized grocery store I have ever been—especially the seafood corner where they have fresh fish. There is one restroom that customers can use, but only God knows how long it has been since it was cleaned previously. It stinks quite bad. If you have never been to a smelly restroom, this might be your worst experience. Use it at your own risk. In term of price, they are decent. They do sell steak meat at considerably low price although I do wonder about how long those have been sitting there, and mind you, the slices are thin. Most of the staff can barely speak English—some cannot even speak English at all aside from, no English, ask him/her.
Good stuff
Quick n readyFast serviceQuality
If youre a fish lover and you like to get the fish clean and cut and deep fried. Well this the perfect place for you. They also have the section of fruits and vegetables. And a little store full of artifacts and jewelry. Love this place.
Great place to horde them asian products and a change of pace for others.
Clean store great selection
5 stars but I gave them 4 because they were out of what I needed
Great produce, friendly employees, and the store in general has a chill ambiance. You can get your grocery shopping done peacefully with the music that plays in the store and hey, you might find some cool Asian snacks that you havenʼt had before. They stock new items every now and then, so expect to try a variety of different foods and treats.
A great place to buy seafood
This place has fresh live fish, the butcher cuts the meats the way I like it, you will find interesting seasonings and spices and lots of items that are on sale. Great place if you looking for fresh meats and wide variety of seasonings and variety of Asian foods. Great for restraint owners.
When I Google this Chinese grocery store, the rating posted was not good so I thought this place is going to be really bad but to my surprise, this place is bright, big and clean inside, things that they sell are not more than regular grocery stores, there are lots of items to choose from. I would visit this store in the future again. I dont know why this store was given such low points.
So many novelty items
Manager does not care about customers only money. Very rude I noticed they been taking out all bad reviews.
Love it store si clean, they deep fried fish for you
Some rude cashiers there. You have to bag your stuff by yourself.
Good varieties of seafood.
You want good Asian food they have the best produce and an open butcher shop the meat is not wrapped you pick what you want they also have live crab live fish that you could pick and have them kill the fish for you and dress it out also they have live mussels and oysters so you know youre getting them fresh. They have a wide selection of food and small appliances, such as rice cookers and steamers. They also carry dishes flatware do you special spoons for eating Asian soup anything that you can think of that you need this is a one stop shop Asian market I recommend it to everybody even if youre not Asian youll love the produce and the butcher.
Great products, but a bit over crowded.
This place is awesome, if youve never been to a full service Asian grocery store youre missing out on an amazing experience and diversified food selection....and this store sets the bar for how a properly run, well staffed, market offering a fully stocked & fresh produce and meat department should be!....love the fish/seafood section here, you can even pick out your own fish & have them clean it & deep fry cook it free while you wait!
Ok
This store is so bad i paid $139.99 for my rice cooker . Got home and it didnt cook and they will not give or return my money. I talk to the manager too he so stupid he say its not his problem anymore.
This supermarket has good selection of products, is big and has pretty much everything.
Lots of varieties. Veggies are very fresh. Raw pork/beef/chicken and live fish are available, and many Asian herbal favors for Asian food cooking. Dont forget lots of fresh vegetables and fruits...
They clean and fry the fish for you, my only complaint would be is that they should have a number system to help the customers in order.
The butchers do a pretty good job of cleaning and cutting their fresh fish.
You can find anything needed here... noodles, fresh and dried, fresh veggies, fresh meat and all the sauces you need to cook up some great stuff... dont forget your rice.
I went today at SF Supermarket to get some wild caught fish. I got my 1 whole Japanese yellow tail fish for $9.65 and 3 whole Red Snapper fish for $38.15. Ive been waiting for so long to be served. Yes their fish are good but the services is bad! And oh, they have new rule also that if the fish cost 30 dollars or more you have to pay first before you can have your fish.
Cool place. Competitive pricing for the area. Big asian grocery store the area. Love coming to this store when we visit here. Store is clean and organized.
I was impressed with how clean this place was
Best place to buy foods clean organize price reasonable
Amazing selection I found exactly what I needed
I like this market. It have all
Great place for specialty Asian foods and groceries. Produce can be hit or miss, depending on how long its been since the last restock.
I always have a fun time shopping here. My favorite item to get is the Kwan Long oil.
Huge variety of hard to find cooking ingredients. We traveled up from our hometown just to come here because we know they will have what we are looking for.
